Review: I patronized this hotel for 20+ nights from April-May 2014. On May 15th 2014, after more than 20 nights here, my two year old daughter had a toileting accident and peed in the bed while asleep. The urine soaked the sheets and comforter. Before leaving the next morning, I put the sheets on the floor to save housekeeping the work of having to do it. When I returned the next evening I was told I was on a 'Do-Not-Rent' list and I was turned away. I was offered no explanation and was told to call back next week. After numerous calls to contact a manager I was continuously given the run around. I was told people are only placed on that list for drug use, prostitution, or damage to a room and I knew I'd been guilty of neither. I finally found out that the reason for them banning from this hotel is because of my toddler niece wetting the bed. I was embarrassed and insulted. After spending more than a thousand dollars patronizing this business I was banned for something so trivial and treated like a criminal.Desired Settlement: An apology. The [redacted] family that works the hotel was very rude and was unable to explain what the problem was. I'm a business woman and I'm insulted by the way I was turned away and ignored for days after asking for explanations. A hotel is supposed to be home away from home. In the even that a bed wetting incident did happen, being banned from an establishment is the most insulting action a business can take. We are humans. Hotels are supposed to clean up and change linen but also be understanding to incontinent accidents.

Review: I booked a one night stay for New Years Day at this hotel with a check in time of 2pm. I arrived at the hotel around 2:30pm to check in and I was told that there were no rooms available. I explained to the older woman at the counter that I had a reservation I had paid for through [redacted] and she told me (very rudely) that they were booked from New Years Eve (the previous day) and still did not have any vacancy for that day which was New Years day and the date of my reservation. I asked her if she could refund me my money and she said she had nothing to do with that and since I had purchased it online I would have to get my money back the same way. I contacted them the next day, January 2, 2015 because they were closed on New Years and I was told that I had been charged a no show fee but a representative of the hotel would contact me in 48 hours. I still have not heard from anyone. All I want is my money back for a room I purchased that was not available that I was still charged for.Desired Settlement: All I want is my money back for a room I purchased that was not available that I was still charged for.

Review: We checked into the Econo Lodge located at 740 Sullivan Rd Statesville, NC 28677 also [redacted] located at [redacted] at just after 5:00 pm on 8/17/2014. We had been traveling since 4:00am that morning. We asked to see a room and they showed us a room. The room looked ok but at this point anything with a bed would have looked good. So we took a weekly rate stay. The next morning upon awaking I noticed cockroaches in the room!(Health issue) Which I have pictures of. I then went to take a shower and the tile on the wall fell off and hit me in my foot. I also have a picture of this. The drain in the shower didn't drain properly,so I had to keep stopping my shower to let the water drain and restart, the mini fridge didn't work, what was to be a non-smoking room stunk of stale smoke. When we went to the front desk and told them of these issue's they offered us another room. Which we looked at and said no to due to the fact that if roaches are in one room they are in all the rooms plus this room had an even worse smell of smoke. We asked for a refund minus the one night we stayed they said "NO"! They didn't even want to give us a receipt that we checked out on August 18th 2014 at 6:00. Finally after a threat to call the police they gave us a written receipt that we left on that date at that time. We had found another hotel to stay at which we had to pay for. What ever happened to customer service and the customer is always right? This place is a real (((Redacted profanity))) hole with woman working out of the place servicing John's! Which also made me very nervous as we had my 17 year old daughter with us! Due to all these unsafe issue's I do believe we should be entitled to get our money back as these are not safe nor healthy living conditions! I also think this place should be investigated.Desired Settlement: After all we were put through I think we should get a full refund of $222.75 put back on our credit card. If this is not done the easy way I will take another trip down there and open a small claims case. Not a big deal as my daughter lives down there now! I have all the time it takes!

This was the worst econolodge, stained matterss holes in mattress foul smell broken furniture. I recommend you stay away from this business all together. totally repulsed upon entering room and it got worse as you turned to look. my stay lasted all of one minute.

Review: I checked in to the hotel room at approximately 615pm had an emergency arise around 7 pm needed to check out of the room....I requested a refund and they said I had 20 min after check in time to request a refund....the maintenance man was at my defense that the room had not been bothered and said that I should've received a refund....the owner said no...I wasn't even checked in a whole hr....that is my complaint....Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my room since I was not able to use the room....

Uncleanly and unsanitary room service.I rented room 124 from 9/17/2013 to 10/01/2013. The comforters and blankets smelled like someone else slept under them and the mattress pads had hairs and stains on them.There was thick layer of dust and few bottle caps behind the beds. I asked the room service to change the mattress pads,comforters and blankets and vaccum behind the beds.they would not vaccum behind the beds or change the pads and I was not confident that I was getting fresh comforters and blankets. I spoke with the [redacted] and he said that it was not a general practice to change the pads or comforters and blankets.There was also blood stains on the back of the bathroom door.Desired SettlementAt least A week refund

Unsafe lighting/wiring in the hotel room. Scalding hot water coming out of tub faucet. Lights on and off with sockets shorting out.During a stay at the hotel on [redacted] 2015 the lighting/wiring in the hotel room kept shorting out. Lights would turn on then switch would be touched and it shorted out. Left us in the dark. Maintenance came and said it was a problem with the wiring that they would fix it in the morning. Outlets shorted out, working periodically. Scalding hot water came out of the tub faucet.Desired SettlementI am asking for a refund or discount considering we were left in the dark with unsafe wiring. I am also looking to have them get the rooms inspected to prevent any major accidents from happening. If a child got in the shower, they would have been scalded. Also, to know the wires are unsafe is definitely a safety hazard.Business Response We have identified the problem to the guest complaint. I have made a refund to the guest for room charge via company that paid the guest bill.
