FanDuel Inc. Reviews (290)

Our initial promotional email containing this offer was sent at 9:02AM EST on 10/** and clearly stated that any user taking advantage of this offer would receive a refund of $25 on an entry that did not finish in a paying position. We then sent out a clarification email at 11:16AM EST on 10/** to...

further convey the message to our users that they would only receive a refund of one $25 entry that did not finish in a paying position. While we feel that we did everything possible to avoid confusion for our users, we hate to hear that any loyal user is upset with our service.  Thus, we provided this user with a $50 credit in FanDuel Points in addition to the $25 credit he received for taking part in this promotion for a total credit of $75.  We will be unable to provide the user with any additional credit related to this promotion.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]The company took my money via [redacted] then, after several weeks, wanted a current facial picture and a copy of my drivers license.  They completely shut me off of my gaming, wouldn't answer my emails, didn't return phone call messages.  When I filed this complaint they JUMPED to "fix" the problem.  However, they refused to refund my money in the same manner that it was deposited (via [redacted]) and they made me very uncomfortable with the whole identity thing.  I'm of the opinion that my problem is just the smallest percentage of the overall theft this company is involved in, as most people are probably unwilling to take the time to dig and report the same thing that happened to me......$50.00 or so might not mean that much to put effort into finding out what's really being done by FanDuel.

To whom it may concern,We write in response to [redacted]'s recent consumer complaint regarding billing/collection issues. After review of [redacted]'s account, it appears that the contest in question was entered from the same location (determined by IP address) as all other recent activity...

on his account. The initial support ticket we received regarding this matter was submitted from that IP address as well. This is confirmed by the Action Log CSV file. Additionally, [redacted]'s initial email confirmed that he entered the contest. Specifically, he said, "I only entered a placeholder lineup and then I was dealing with bad weather here and internet connection issues all day, and I was unable to access anything."According to section 4.2 of our Terms of Use, users are fully responsible for all users of their Username and Password. Our full terms can be found here - https://www.fanduel.com/terms[redacted] mentioned that FanDuel was keeping his entry fee, which is not the case. Entry fees submitted into our contests are redistributed to the winner(s) of the contest(s), and FanDuel receives a commission on the entry fee. The contest in question was entered at 10:19 AM ET, and began at 7:05 PM ET. [redacted] first contacted us regarding this matter at 8:47 PM ET. During our recent interaction with [redacted], he mentioned that using our service may be causing him personal distress and negatively affecting his health. As a result, we proactively suspended his account and processed a withdrawal for his remaining balance. After processing a [redacted] withdrawal for his remaining $794.80, [redacted]'s account currently has a $0 balance. Prior to entering the contest in question, [redacted]'s account had a balance of $6,094.80. The attached .CSV file shows all transactions on [redacted]'s account since it's creation in September of 2013.  Regards,Jason F[redacted]Sr. Director, Customer Support & Strategy

We feel that we have done everything we can to give this user a satisfactory result, which includes offering them a $15 credit in FanDuel Points on the entries that were impacted by this player being inactive. This user rejected this offer, and there is nothing further we can do on our...

end. We try to ensure that all players with significant injuries are designated as injured in our player pool to alert our users. However, especially in the NBA, there are many cases where a player will be a late scratch due to illness or a very minor injury, and there is little chance that we'll have an indicator up in time for that contest. In this case, Andrew Wiggins wasn't announced out until 7:30 PM ET, which was after contests began and lineups locked. Prior to lineups locking, the news on our site (and outside sources) was up to date and correct. That said, a large part of what makes FanDuel legal and qualifies us as a game of skill is the research involved in selecting your team. While FanDuel offers the platform in which users can play daily fantasy sports, we leave it up to the user to do the research and choose the players they think will give them the best chance of winning. When users have real money on the line on a nightly basis, we're confident its best for them to have full control over the players they choose.

To Whom It May Concern,FanDuel has spoken with [redacted] regarding complaint [redacted].  [redacted]'s account has been reinstated and [redacted] has stated that his complaint has been resolved.   Regards,FanDuel

As mentioned in our previous response, there is no evidence that the integrity of any FanDuel contest was compromised, and we will not be issuing any refunds.

We apologize for any initial confusion about the rate at which the bonus is released to your main account. In an effort to prevent this type of confusion for our new users and ensure you have the opportunity to learn about how the bonus works prior to making a deposit, we do offer the full...

details about the pending bonus on our 'Add Funds' page. The details are also shown immediately after a deposit, to inform users of the structure of our deposit match.
No one likes to feel as though they did not receive what they expected and we certainly do not want to leave you feeling as though you’ve had a poor experience from the start with us. While we are unable to release any pending bonus, into a main account, we are able to refund a full deposit. As you've had a poor experience on our site, we have refunded your initial deposit, and closed your account down. You should see the refund within 3-5 days on your card statement, dependent on your bank.
