Review: I am attempting to withdraw my money on FanDuel as I no longer have interest in playing any fantasy sports games. They are refusing my withdrawal, telling me they will not return my money unless I continue to play on their site. They profit off of users entering into contests as they take in 10% of each entry fee. I have zero interest in continuing to play these games and requested my money back. The customer support agent is coming up with multiple different stories as to why they won't give me MY money back going completely against their stated policy which notes -

"How do I withdraw money?

You can withdraw your money at any time."

They are keeping my money for unknown reasons, demanding I continue to play on their site or they will not return my money. I am absolutely furious that they are allowed to continue to operate in this environment employing such fraudulent business practices.Desired Settlement: My money must be refunded, as it is my money and not theirs in any form. I have the right at any time to, for whatever reason, withdraw my money as I please.

Review: I joined fanduel thinking it was s daily fantasy football and baseball league thinking by the companies advertising that it was easy to win lots of money by picking the right team. Lots of the times I have had the "right team" or close to the right team & had nothing to show for it. I did not realize this was a gambling site at all and I have no knowledge of betting on sports. I feel I've been robbed out of the deposits I put into the site.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded $195.00 in deposits I've made since opening my account in August or a reasonable settlement. I have received some free games,, but feel that doesn't measure up as I still have nothing to show from it.

Response:

This user is not eligible for any refund under this current complaint, as FanDuel is considered a game of skill under the UIGEA and is fully legal in this users state of Massachusetts. This is detailed in our official terms of use page, which states the following, "FanDuel is a game of skill. Winners are determined by the criteria stated in each contest's rules. For each contest, winners are determined by the individuals who use their skill and knowledge of relevant professional sports information and fantasy sports rules to accumulate the most fantasy points. Fantasy points are accumulated through the performance of individual athletes across multiple sports events. All entries in FanDuel must be made up of players drawn from a minimum of two sporting events.” For more information on this, please see our terms page at the following link: [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:It takes skill to have your money thrown away by a scam? Nobody is going to win any money from you guys....Hope everyone realizes this before you rip people off of their hard earned money. If a computer can generate a better lineup than me I'd have nothing to do with it.Honestly, your advertising stinks, you should be more up front....if it was easy to win, than everyone would..as someone who has played season fantasy before & won....I was expecting a lot more success than what I had on your site. I did win some money on your site, but $40 or so from the amount in the complaint is stupidly ridiculous. I have better things to throw away my money on.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Response:

As mentioned previously, this user is not eligible for any refund under this current complaint. While it is unfortunate that they did not have more success in contests, this does not take away from the fact that FanDuel is legal and considered a game of skill.

I'll never be satisfied to your answer, you are navigating around my issue & not paying attention to what is going onI guess we'll have to agree to dsiagree. I may not be eligible for a refund, but I honestly am glad I didn't waste another penny on your site.

Sincerely,

Review: I signed up with fanduel on a brand new profile. When creating my profile, there was a deposit bonus offer. The offer is set up in a way so as to entice players to add more money right off the bat. The catch which is not initially made clear however is that only 4% is paid out of each contest entry that is settled. This is extremely misleading given the fact that if I only get 4% of my entry fees back as a bonus, then I am left with no choice but to add more and more funds. This is practically the definition of "bait and switch" and I find it unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I would either like my bonus to be paid out instantly or have my original deposit refunded to me.

Business

Response:

The initial deposit of $28 made by this user on 10/**/15 has been fully refunded as requested here and the FanDuel account has been permanently deactivated. Our advertisements promote a deposit bonus match upon sign up. As standard with all daily fantasy sports gaming sites, any bonus received on deposit starts in a "Pending" bonus status. The player will accumulate these bonus funds as they enter paid contests. However, we explicitly describe how pending bonus works on our deposit page and in the deposit page FAQ in which users can decide then if the promotion is right for them. If not, they can simply choose to not deposit. We also flash a deposit success page that offers information regarding pending bonus and its available in our main support FAQ's. The terms of the pending bonus, how it works, its rate of release, etc., are all described to the user before depositing.

Sincerely,

Review: I am trying to play games on fanduel. I used ot make several games an then I notice a scammy looking situation where the same player would sit all my games with different sports lineups like 2 different ones half and half. So basically one lineup will probalby win and one will lose making us tie but then I lose a ton of money to rake. So I believe that only the company benefits that by collecting rake so they fill all my games up and put in differnet lineups with the same id name. We don't do that as players we set one lineup to try to win not have 2 different lineups almost guaranteeing losing half the games. So I tried doing like 200 games they all filled with guys sititng several games. So I found it odd that all the gmaes fill when there is tons of other player who have several games to be filled so now I am thinking I am not playing real players but employees filling my game to collect mroe rake for the company. So today I just did 20 gmaes at 1 dollar, and 20 games at 2 dollar and 10 gmaes at 5 dollar and 10 games at 10 dollar so that way they can't fill most of my games up and I can play real players. Nope what happens is 1 id name fills all the games and I know whats going to happen it will be 2 different lineups so they colelct all the rake again and id ont profit. They are scamming people out of there money using this strategy and I wnated my money back cause I don't want to play 1 player. And nobody sits 1 player for all of his games when there is so many other players to play. So I know its one of there workers sitting me again. I want a refund and I want to be off the site for good. But they refuse to refund me before the gmaes start they want to collect there rake and I am not having it. I wnat my money back. I feel I am being scammed and don't want to be apart of the site anymore.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund back to my account and I want to be done with the site and cash out off away from it. I tried to come back and just try find ways where I can avoid playing their employees by maknig less games but now they are pulling this scam filling all my games with 1 player. I just want to get off the site. I know a scam when I see it and I don't want any part of it.

Sincerely,

Review: FanDuel is running a poor operation!!! First of all I challenged my friend to a private $25 head to head challenge. Due to FanDuel not running effectively my friend never received the challenge which I resent again hoping he would get it until after [redacted]. It should have made it right away shortly after [redacted]. So then FanDuel randomly takes my $25 without my authorization and matches me up with someone else. I didn't authorize this and had FanDuel actually done their job then I would have been matched up against my friend like I set up privately. I then sent a ticket to FanDuel in which they didn't respond to until the games started after [redacted]. They tell me that as a one time gesture they will cancel it. So you're going to make me feel like the bad guy?? Very poor customer service! So then my $25 head to head that FanDuel says they canceled was not canceled and still showing. So FanDuel takesanother person's $25 because I ended up winning the contest and ofcourse FanDuel doesn't credit me the money for winning. I should have $20 more in my account. In other words FanDuel illegally took $25 for themselves! This is shady business practice and against the law! I want to be compensated for this!!!Desired Settlement: I want to be monetarily compensated. Hopefully FanDuel can settle this with me. I've been a good customer with them for years.

Response:

As per our support page here https://www.fanduel.com/support, we explain the process of what happens in the event a H2H does not get matched at game start. Whether public or private, the system will attempt to randomly match an unmatched entry at game start. It's up to the user to cancel their unmatched entries before game start if they do not wish to be paired up with a random user. Also per our rules page here https://www.fanduel.com/rules, we do not allow users to cancel matched H2H entries. Despite the complaint here, we went ahead and refunded the user the $25 he mentioned in the complaint for being randomly matched with an unwanted user. We did this as a "courtesy" because our rules clearly state that we do not allow H2H cancellations. Our system is built in a way that allows us to refund a users entry without affecting the their opponents game experience. So when a user complains for any reason, our customer service team can offer the refund and satisfy the issue. This is exactly what FanDuel CS did here. However, since our system is built as a way to allow the opponents in this case continue to enjoy their experience, we do not cancel the entire contest. That's not fair to the opponent, so we simply take ownership of the entry from the complaining user. There is nothing shady about how we operate or how our system works. The H2H entry part of the system and the lobby matching at game start has been the same for over 5 years and has gone relatively unchanged. Most users are aware that they need to cancel unmatched entries if they don't want to be randomly matched. If they're unaware, we take care of them through customer service which we did in this case.We satisfied this user with his entry fee refunded minutes after he complained. Since he chose not to play out the contest and collect his refund, he's not then entitled to any winnings. Rules on how we deal with unmatched H2H are clearly marked on site.We also added $20 worth of FDP to his account which he can redeem entries as cash. We consider this complaint to now be closed.

Review: I write this concerning the action, or lack there of taken towards fraudulent activity on my account with FanDuel. I stopped playing the daily fantasy sports game upon becoming very ill and having to medically withdraw from school and move home while being hospitalized numerous times due to my conditions. Upon accessing my school e-mail inadvertently I saw numerous e-mails from FanDuel stating that I had been entering contests with varied increments of money. These were however unauthorized transactions as I have strong reason to believe my college roommate whom I referred to the website knew of the referral system in which I would receive compensation from him playing. Upon receiving the login credentials to my account I checked the transaction history which showed the unauthorized fraudulent activity and the money spent per transaction. I created a new account in hopes of playing FanDuel again yet my new account was suspended/deactivated as I attempted to login today. I spoke with a representative online about the whole situation and provided it below

?Hello, I was wondering if I could speak with someone regarding my request #[redacted]: Hi there

[redacted]: Good afternoon

?Good afternoon to you as well

[redacted]: I've been able to get caught up on that. What questions do you have?

?Well I guess my main concerns are with the reasoning behind my new account being suspended and more importantly if I am able to get the funds that had been used under my old account returned to me

[redacted]: As [redacted] mentioned, users are only permitted one account as per our Terms of Use: [redacted]: Resulting, your new account was suspended.

?Ah I see, I was unaware of this, I primarily mad the new account as I don't know the password to my old account and as mentioned before I believe it was compromised

[redacted]: We can reactivate your new account now and permit you to withdraw the remainder of your funds, minus the 80 cents in pending bonus which you would not have been eligible for

?That would be fine, however, I'm still very concerned about my original account as it's linked to my school e-mail that I don

[redacted]: You may now log into [redacted]

?t know the login credentials

[redacted]: Once you are set up to withdraw those funds on [redacted], then we can help you get logged into your first account

?Okay thank you, once I am able to access my first account and review the activity, is there any way I can be refunded the funds used by whoever had access to my account (though I believe it to be my ex-roommate) As I don't think it's fair for me to have lost out on money from referring someone to you guys just for him to reap the benefits and besmirch the system

[redacted]: No refunds will be issued. As per our Terms of Use under "Account Password and Security," you would be liable for protecting the privacy of your account

?Okay, well is there any way we can change my old account over to the e-mail address I used for my new account which is my primary e-mail as well as PayPal e-mail

[redacted]: You'll be able to change your email once you log in by going to My Account and then Edit Details

[redacted]: The [redacted] is now open. We've noticed that you signed in as recently as Saturday, shortly before creating your new account. Would you be able to try logging in to that quickly

?alright one moment, I have to check my e-mail for the password

?alright I'm logged into my original account

[redacted]: To confirm, would you provide the username for that account

?marludakang

[redacted]: Thanks. I've confirmed you did log in.

[redacted]: Please do not create any additional accounts or we will be forced to close all accounts permanently

?I won't I had no intentions of having multiple accounts, I was just very concerned with my account being compromised

[redacted]: If you have any other questions, please let us know

?thank you for that information. and as I check the transaction history for my account I see around $40-$50 has been used which I still find troubling. I wish there was some sort of compensation for that even if it were FDP

?It's just odd to me that fraud can be tolerated basically, that's all even if it is in the terms

[redacted]: As mentioned, it's your responsibility to protect your login information.

?I understand, I'm just saying, I've experienced fraud with credit cards before and the CC company doesn't just tell you it's your responsibility to protect your online banking information; action is still taken in some way. I know there is something that can be done, just this is a way for you all to have to get involved in anything..it's disappointing but I guess nothing will come of it.

[redacted]: In no way did we compromise your account. Your login information was held securely by us. If your friend accessed your account, we'd recommend protecting your computer with a password in addition to changing your FanDuel password

?I never stated that FanDuel compromised my account, the fact that my account was compromised is the issue and the fact that I in blatant terms had money stolen from me is wrong, fraud in any platform should not be tolerated and the victim be left with a "you should have been more careful, sorry, hope you still enjoy our services' It just comes off as if FanDuel as a whole is just okay with taking money in any way shape or form and if an issue of fraud is brought to them they sidestep it by referencing terms and rules. as a concerned and loyal patron I just really feel that's a poor scapegoat and if reported to the Revdex.com would cause an uproar of sorts.

?I've been very happy with FanDuel, I just am dissapointed by the way this was handled, that's why I said even if I were issued FDP which can't even be withdrawn that's something within reason, but to basically get a "it's all your fault" is truly disheartening

[redacted]: We appreciate your participation here on FanDuel and apologize for any frustration that may have resulted. However, there still won't be any compensation provided. We hope you are still able to continue playing here and let us know if we can help you with anything else

?I figured as such, thank you for your time.

I wasn't sure what category to select for the Primary Nature of my complaint, but alas I'm very disappointed with the lack of action taken for unauthorized activity from my account in which a customer service rep can just waive off fraudulent activity and blame it on the consumer. I have never experienced this EVER when speaking with a company or business when regarding unauthorized transactions and have never been told that I'm responsible for said activity and since it is in the terms no action will be taken. I would not have brought this complaint to fruition if it weren't for the hard times I'm experiencing. I'm still very ill living with my single mother who just quit her job as a teacher to go to school to become a nurse to further take care of me and increase income for us to survive in this rough economy. Though the money taken from my account may have amounted to around $50.00 or so, I just came from the doctor and don't even have enough money to pick up my prescriptions. I'm unable to work, go to school or provide for myself and the only thing I had hinging on me is my knowledge of sports. My mother was even gracious enough to give me $20.00 on my new account to play with in hopes that I may be able to win enough to pay for some bills. Upon the closing of the new account in which I was given a promotional code to match whatever money I deposited as a "bonus", I was lead astray for that as well as not until you deposit the money does it tell you that you will only receive 4% of every transaction you make in the amount of the $20.00 deposited. I digress though as my main concern lies within the lack of action taken for the unauthorized activity on my account and I hope that there is some way this can be settled. I even suggested a compensation of FDP or Fan Duel Points which can be used to play their games if they were so unwilling to refund my actual money, alas I was denied. I have the details of the transactions to provide to calculate the amount of money taken from me if needed. Though am unable to fit it all in this box, the total amount comes to $95.00 (which is a lot more than I thought it would be) if I calculated correctly, as the transactions are in small increments ranging from $1.00 to $10.00 .

I hope this issue can be handled in a professional manor and some sort of resolution may come of this as I feel the way FanDuel handled this was and is unacceptable for a business and it appears to me that they don't care for the customer, just their money. As I'm sure this has happened to others in the past, I just won't stand for being pushed aside as in this case I could use any penny I can get at this point in time just to keep myself with the proper medication to function on a daily basis.

Thank youDesired Settlement: Refund or return the funds from the

unauthorized transactions from January **, 2014 to January **, 2014 in

which the activity stopped; the transaction history notes that I ceased

all activity in March of 2013 in the onset of my illness.

FanDuel response to complaint #[redacted]:

Review: I have $2000.10 in my account, and FanDuel is refusing to deposit the money back to me. I added money to my account in order to withdraw a remaining balance that did not meet the minimum withdrawal amount. I have since tried twice to withdraw the money in my account, and the withdrawal request has been denied twice. I contacted FanDuel customer support asking for an explanation, and here is the response I received: "Hi [redacted], Good day. I'm contacting you on behalf of the withdrawals team here at FanDuel. Looking at your account, I can see you made a $2,000 deposit and requested a withdrawal for a majority of those same funds. This withdrawal attempt has been refused, as FanDuel user accounts are intended for game play. Winnings may be withdrawn at any time, but FanDuel does not process unplayed funds to a different account until you first use them in real money contests.

However, if you would like your deposit refunded back through your initial payment, we would certainly be happy to assist you with this. This method of returning funds is in place to protect you, the card holder, our user community, and FanDuel as a business.

If you do have any questions, please let us know and we'd be happy to help.Best,[redacted]Thank you for playing FanDuel."

I sent another e-mail responded " That's what I've been trying to do. I deposited the money through [redacted], and I have tried to withdraw back to [redacted]. Please do what you need to do to give me back MY money. This has been an absolute cluster of an experience with NO communication. Please give me back the money I deposited and let me know when it has been completed. Thank you."

I received the response "Hi [redacted],

We'll need to have our finance team look further into this for you. We've passed your request along to them and they should respond to you as soon as they have been able to review your request.

Thank you for your patience!

[redacted]"Desired Settlement: I want my money back. Nothing more, nothing less. I deposited the money, so I want it back. It is unethical and illegal to steal someone's money, as this is the case.

Business

Response:

We do not want you to feel as if we're holding your funds, without your consent. Everything our Support agent [redacted] stated is completely accurate. Our rules do not allow users to deposit funds, and then withdraw them without playing through the majority of them. There are several reasons we have this rule in place, but the main reason is to protect our users, and our business from suspicious activity. In your situation, we refunded your full $2000 deposit on October [redacted]. If you used your credit card through [redacted], it could take up to 2 weeks for the refund to appear on your bank statement.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

But you did hold my funds. If those are your rules, then you are holding funds illegally. I deposited the incorrect amount by mistake in order to withdraw the remainder of my funds. Why should I not be able to get a refund for the exact amount that I deposited, directly back to the method of payment I used? You are saying that once a deposit is made, then the money belongs to FanDuel, until the player that made the deposit plays through a "majority" of those funds. Why?

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: Fanduel is running a Bait & Switch marketing campaign promising a 100% Deposit Bonus for new users. However, the 100% bonus is never given to you, The way it works is that when you deposit your money, the bonuses are listed as “pending bonuses” but you don’t actually get to unlock this money until you have spent tons of real money. Literally for me to get the $200 bonus that I was promised when I signed up, I would have had to spend over $5,000!Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund for the $200 that I deposited and the $200 bonus that I was promised.

Consumer

Response:

Fanduel has refunded the $200 that I put into their website, so I do credit them for doing that. I would hope that they will stop using the deceptive terminology in their radio ads or they will likely continue to get these types of complaints.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: Advertising proclaims a matching of your initial deposit, up to $200.00. After depositing $100, and receiving an additional $100 in a "bonus pending" account, I expected the pending $100 to be available after using my initial deposit. However, they only release pending bonus money at a 4% rate. At that rate someone would have to deposit and spend $5000.00 in order to receive the maximum "matching" amount of $200.00, as advertised. I am positive that this advertising was deliberately misleading to attract depositors because I don't believe that they would have attracted much interest by being truthful about having to spend 5k in order to receive the $200 "match"Desired Settlement: My full pending bonus be released for use without additional deposits by me required.

Business

Response:

This customer registered for FanDuel on September [redacted], and made a $100 deposit while using a special promo code. The customer received a 100% matching pending deposit bonus, as advertised on our deposit screen. After registration, this customer used the deposited funds along with funds that were released from his bonus account to play in paid games. Some of these games resulted in winnings, which have since been withdrawn. Thus, this customer is ineligible for our money-back guarantee program. The money-back guarantee program is only available to customers who lose their first contest on FanDuel as described on our website. Additionally, the customer contacted our support department with his complaint on November [redacted] in which we offered the complete details on how our pending bonus program works. This includes the fact that we explicitly describe how pending bonus works on our deposit page and in the deposit page FAQ in which users can decide then if the promotion is right for them before depositing. Also, it was explained that we are unable to manually release any bonus funds into any users account. At the conclusion of this support request, we generously offered to credit his account with loyalty points. However, the customer unfortunately chose to ignore this offer.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]Nothing in their response addresses their deceptive advertising. Also, I never asked for my money back, so I'm not sure why their response states that I am ineligible for a refund. Mostly, I would like to know what, if anything, will change in their advertising.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Business

Response:

Our advertisements promote a deposit bonus match upon sign up. As standard with all daily fantasy sports gaming sites, any bonus received on deposit starts in a "Pending" bonus status. The player will accumulate these bonus funds as they enter paid contests.Additionally, immediately after users make their first deposit, they are taken to a deposit success page that offers information regarding pending bonus and its available in our main support FAQ's. The terms of the pending bonus, how it works, its rate of release, etc., are all described to the user before depositing.

Review: The company advertises "Immediate cash payouts" as heard in this advertisement http[redacted] however they admit on their website that payouts can take up to 48 hours to process, so their advertised claim is illegal. Further, they fail to mention you must meet certain terms to withdraw your own money from the site. The terms are not disclosed anywhere that I can find. They only told them to me after denying my withdrawl request.

Right now my money is being held hostage by Fanduel and I am unable to withdraw it under the guise of fraud prevention. I have made numerous deposits in the past, and this is the first attempt I have made to withdraw funds. I enjoy the site, I simply want to withdraw my money to the exact same Paypal account that I deposited it from, so the claim is a complete joke.

I have made attempts to reason with Fanduel customer service before resorting to the Revdex.com, but my most recent response to customer service was completely ignored.Desired Settlement: Just let me withdraw my money from my account, to the exact Paypal account I deposited it from. That's all I'm asking for.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Hello,

I recently filed a complaint against Fanduel regarding a withdrawal problem from my account. It was all a misunderstanding between myself and Fanduel. It was during a holiday weekend and I neglected to give them time to respond to my request. I feel terrible for filing the complaint and would like to entirely withdraw it if possible. The company's customer service was beyond excellent and I do not want to cause them to receive a complaint, resolved or not, on the Revdex.com website due to my error.

Thanks,

Review: Fan Duel, a new online fantasy football betting service and has national ads on both TV and Radio, that claim, "join" Fan Duel and put in $100 of your money and we will match it with $100. I even heard on local radio here in Florida, Fan Duel will as a special promotion, match my $100, dollar for dollar. I joined Fan Duel, based on the national ad that said they would match my $100 with a $100. The reality is, I joined, put in $100, spent $100 and Fan Duel matched it with $4 dollars. I filled a complaint online with customer service and was told to go back and read the fine print about how they match the $100 promotional dollars, with a slow release based on money spent. Based on the $4 release, I would need to spend over $2000 dollars to get the $100 they advertised.

This promtional ad is not only misleading on many levels but is driving in thousands of new members based on false deceptive advertising.

Thank you for your assistance getting this company to "stop" this type of practice.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Would like my $96, remaining promotional funds loaded onto my credit card on file with Fan Duel. My account email and user name is: Name: [redacted]

Username: [redacted].

Business

Response:

We apologize for any initial confusion about the rate at which the bonus is released to your main account. In an effort to prevent this type of confusion for our new users and ensure you have the opportunity to learn about how the bonus works prior to making a deposit, we do offer the full details about the pending bonus on our 'Add Funds' page. The details are also shown immediately after a deposit, to inform users of the structure of our deposit match.

No one likes to feel as though they did not receive what they expected and we certainly do not want to leave you feeling as though you’ve had a poor experience from the start with us. While we are unable to release any pending bonus, into a main account, we are able to refund a full deposit. As you've had a poor experience on our site, we have refunded your initial deposit, and closed your account down. You should see the refund within 3-5 days on your card statement, dependent on your bank.

Review: I received an email from FanDuel yesterday stating that if I entered the $2 Squeeze contest that I would get a free entry into the $2 Squeeze the following day. I entered using the link in the email. I have yet to get my free entry as stated. I emailed customer support without any response or help at all. This is poor customer service! Why should I have to waste my time and energy to try to get something I should already have?? I'm really fed up with FanDuel. It's always something with them. Then they try to treat the customers that keep them in business in a undesirable manner. It would be nice that they would own up to their mistakes for once. Instead they make excuses and make the customers look like the bad guys. The Revdex.com complaints speak for themselves.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated in some way.

Business

Sincerely,

Review: In the commercial FanDuel advertises, they state they WILL MATCH your deposit if you join. (Pretty straight forward and simple statement)

I joined with $100, expected FanDuel to MATCH my deposit. After a week still no match. I sent an email and was told it takes "time" to release

the funds to prevent abuse of false accounts. After 1 month still no matching funds.

I wrote another Email. A Rep explained that the only way I could get the Matching Funds is to play more. If I play more

I would have to add more funds (from my own wallet)

I spent $100 and lost over a month. FanDuel "Matched" a total of $6 of my initial deposit over what is now 13 weeks.

All I am requesting is that they do what is stated in their commercial. MATCH MY DEPOSIT.

Stop with the deceptive advertising and borderline lying. Please give me what you advertisedDesired Settlement: All I am seeking is the matching Funds. After that maybe we can move forward and I may continue to play.

Response:

The initial deposit of $100 made by this user on 9/**/14 has been fully refunded as requested here and the FanDuel account has been permanently deactivated.

As we have explained to this user through our support desk, we were able to further look into this withdrawal and verified that it was completed to the [redacted] account they entered for withdrawal on November [redacted]. Now that funds have completed to [redacted] and are successfully in that account, we no longer have control of those funds. If this user is still having trouble finding these funds on the account, we would recommend reaching out to [redacted] support for more information: [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: On Sunday 10/**/15 I received an email from Fanduel and this is what it said -

"[redacted]! Today only, we'll refund your $25 entry if you don't finish in the money in the $5,000,000 Sunday Million. What could be better?! So enter now before the contest fills or entries lock at 1PM EST.

Disclaimer: Offer only valid to users receiving this email directly from FanDuel. No entries made prior to 8am ET today will count towards this promotional offer. Users must make a paid entry into the Sunday Million to be eligible. $25 will be credited to users that have received this email, made a paid entry the contest, and do not cash. Credit will be given the following Tuesday."

So I proceeded to enter $175 dollars worth of teams into the tournament thinking based on the email they sent that if any of those teams did not win money I would be refunded.

I wake up Monday morning 10/**/15 to see another email from Fanduel this time a "Clarification" email received 3:16PM 10/**/15, Here is the "Clarification" email they sent after they were sure their tournament had filled and they had made their money --

"This morning you were emailed a promotional offer connected to today's Sunday Million on FanDuel. We want to clarify one aspect of this offer: each player is eligible for a maximum of one $25 refund for non-cashing lineups entered into today's Sunday Million. For instance, if you have 2 entries into today's Sunday Million and one of them finishes in the money, we will refund you $25. If you have 2 entries into today's Sunday Million and neither finishes in the money, we will refund you $25.

We apologize for the misunderstanding, please adjust your entries accordingly as we will not refund players more than $25 in connection with this promotion."

To me this was a total SCAM/FALSE advertising to get their tournament filled and once they did they eventually sent a "Clarification" email which they knew a small percentage of people would see until it was too late. I feel they have scammed many others with this strategy, and while the FBI is investigating them, this information may be useful. It may also go hand in hand with the fact that they lost entries into their tournament based on this post on their website and they needed to fill the tournament quickly -

How the Nevada Restriction Impacts Current Contests: [redacted]Desired Settlement: The tournament isn't over until tonight's 10/**/15 game is over so I am not sure how much money I will have lost until after tonight's game, but I want a refund based on their initial email that any teams that do not cash will be refunded.

Business

Response:

Our initial promotional email containing this offer was sent at 9:02AM EST on 10/** and clearly stated that any user taking advantage of this offer would receive a refund of $25 on an entry that did not finish in a paying position. We then sent out a clarification email at 11:16AM EST on 10/** to further convey the message to our users that they would only receive a refund of one $25 entry that did not finish in a paying position. While we feel that we did everything possible to avoid confusion for our users, we hate to hear that any loyal user is upset with our service. Thus, we provided this user with a $50 credit in FanDuel Points in addition to the $25 credit he received for taking part in this promotion for a total credit of $75. We will be unable to provide the user with any additional credit related to this promotion.

Review: When baseball season first started there were many advertisements regarding make a deposit and get a match bonus. I heard this announcement on [redacted] and wanted to take advantage of the offer. This company false advertising leads you to believe you are getting a match on the money you deposit. When you reach out to them via chat after I had made my deposit they tell you it is for new costumers only. As soon as the money is deposited there should be a bonus, and I never saw anything . This is terrible ethics and false advertisements to the fullest. They take their costumers money and offer them these deals so they don't go to competitors sites. If I did this to my costumers at my job I would be out of business. There website is great and so is what they do, but they are just out to make money off their players. I am sure I am not the first and won't be the last to issue this complaint. They need to be more clear with what they are offering. Since I heard the offer I have deposited the amounts of $105, $121, $20 and got no bonus at all under the user name [redacted] via [redacted]Desired Settlement: I will either take a full refund on all three deposits or a full refund in giftcard/site credit in the amount of $246

Business

Response:

This user registered an account in 2011 and upon their first deposit, received a deposit bonus which has since been fully released. As detailed in our advertisements, our deposit match bonus promo codes are only valid for a new user's first-time deposit on FanDuel. This is because they are provided by our partners and we then pay those partners for each new user. Thus, we will be unable to extend this user a second promotional code for these recent deposits.

When you here a radio ad on sirius that says nothing about first time users or depositors that is false advertising. They say "deposit now and receive a match bonus of up to $200". It says nothing about new users only. I heard it multiple times. I know I received a bonus in 2011 when I first deposited. I am not disputing that. I am disputing your advertisements claiming I would get 100% bonus up to $200, there is nothing in the ad that said anything about new users. I am sure I am not the only one who is complaining about this. I refuse to close this case until action is taken.

Case # [redacted]. This user has been playing FanDuel since 2011, and is very much aware of the fact that we only provide first time depositors with deposit bonuses unless under special promotions. We communicated with this user on multiple occasions in an attempt to get them to drop the complaint. This included sending them a private correspondence through our website, offering them a loyalty credit of $25. This offer was met with no response, and we simply felt that there was nothing more we could do with this complaint. This is because we are unable to offer multiple promotional codes to users

Review: Fanduel is an online gaming site, where users select fantasy football teams that compete for money. On Sunday, September [redacted], I had registered for 3 contests at $25 apiece. I entered in my lineups, but at 12:42 PM EST (18 minutes before the lineups lock) I was unable to get on to the site to change my lineups. The company acknowledged this server shut down. I was not able to adjust my lineups and the lineups locked at 1:00 PM EST with players playing that I didn't want.

I emailed Fanduel the next day, and was told by [redacted] that they had cancelled my support ticket. I emailed again and then was told they would not be refunding my money. In order to compete in an online gaming site, the site must be active - especially in the 20 minutes before kickoff on Sunday. This company did not deliver on their service and refuses to refund my money or return my messages.Desired Settlement: I am owed $75 for the three contests which I lost. I was trying to alter all three lineups - two of which had [redacted] (we found out at this time his QB was out) and two others had a Kicker that wasn't even active.

Review: I joined fanduel watching TV and the commercial said 1st time members at Fanduel who deposit 200 dollars, fanduel will match any 1time deposit up to 200dollars. The only reason I joined was for the promise they would keep their word. they didnt. I wen thru my 200 with 160 and some change pending cuz they are pulling all this red tape ** on me. I have a pic on my cell of my account and whats pending. I have emailed them 7 times or more to try to get them to keep their word. All they keep saying s im confused. Im not confused because I have 1 of the commercials on my DVR.Desired Settlement: I want what was PROMISED to me from the commercials and advertisements. I deposit 200 dollars and FanDuels would match the amount up to 200 dollars. I have not seen any of my matched amount in my account? so I feel I have 2 choices, get my matched amount which was already promised to me or sue for faults advertisement??

Well 1st off I deposited about 290 in playing. I have gone above and beyond my part of the agreement. The commercial and the actual wording in the commercial is "if you deposit 200 fanduel will match up to 200." the wording wasnt if you deposit 200 and jump thru all our hoops and side ** then you get your matched. I will be more then happy to forward you my back and forth with Fanduel and how they say we just cant give you your pending when the amount of pending is still in my account. Took a pic of it on my phone this morning. Plus I do look to go public with this issue also. because all Fanduel dancing around is just making me more angry and angrier? all they have to do is honor there word and if they wont I will make them answer for not honoring their word? Thanks [redacted]

We feel that we have done everything we can to give this user a satisfactory result, which includes offering them a refund on their initial $200 deposit. This user rejected this offer multiple times, and there is nothing further we can do on our end.We do our best to inform users of how the deposit bonus system works by posting a message on the first-time deposit screen that reads ‘Your deposit bonus unlocks over time. Read more about how it works.’ Additionally, we provide the details of how the bonus system works in our Support ‘FAQ’ page. However, the way in which our bonus is released is the industry, and the system is in place to reward loyal users who continuously play on the site. The more users play, the quicker the funds will be released into their accounts.

Review: False advertisement. Advertisement states a "dollar for dollar" match bonus with deposit but the bonus is not accessible to the user. To bonus isn't available to the customer without additional deposits equating to 25x the initial depositDesired Settlement: Match my initial deposit "dollar for dollar" as advertised

Business

If you were to choose this option, we would close your account down. If this is something you are interested in, please let us know.
