I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
When I filled out all applicable papers, it was stated that x-rays and exam would be performed. The insurance companies look at x-rays as FULL x-rays and partial X-rays. Nowhere on the paperwork was it indicated that they would be TAKING "FULL X-RAYS" which would have required my ADDITIONAL authorization along with the insurance company. I also never received an exam. They are charging for services not authorized or provided. Western Dental's remark state that I consented to x-rays in general. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. FULL mounth was not communicated to me nor was it on the paper and they never told me that's what they were doing and they never got prior authorization.

The following is WDS' resolution to this matter: Mr*** presented to WDS on January 22, and an exam and x-rays was performedThe patient was presented with and accepted the recommended treatment plan which included a full upper dentureHowever due to the reported advice of his medical provider, Mr*** was unable to move forward with the completion of his treatmentAs a gesture of goodwill and in the interest of continued patient satisfaction, the balance representing the treatment which was started but not yet completed will be adjusted from his balanceWDS asks that the patient allow fifteen business days for the completion of this adjustment and closure of his WDS account

I went to Western dental to get a consultation for my son.Soon after the consultation I decided to cancel the contract with them.I called and told them and they said if I returned the toothbrush they had given me then they would close my account with an ending balance of zero.So,I returned the
toothbrush sealed exactly how I had received it and received a printout saying my balance was zero.Low and behold the next day the manager calls me and says the toothbrush looks used and we will not return it and you wil be responsible to pay for it.Now this is after I returned it and have a receipt stating I owe them zero.Im getting the run around from them and no one will resolve this issue.They are very misleading,the people that work at the office give you incorrect information and make you sign contracts under pretenses.The lady at the office *** said as long as the toothbrush was sealed I could return it and when I called her to ask her about returning it she said,"oh sorry my bad,I made a mistake toothbrush sales are final.Finally they said they would return it due to ***'s mistake.So they are now trying to charge me for a toothbrush I never wanted,a toothbrush I returned and a toothbrush that I don't have in my possession anymore.Steer clear of this company,once you are in their grips they will try to suck any money they can out of you especially if you cancel services with them.I am concerned they are going to ruin my credit and all this they haven't even started any braces on my sons teethProduct_Or_Service: Toothbrush Account_Number: 17-

Western Dental Services, Inc("WDS") appreciates the opportunity to address the concerns filed by the patient with the Business Bureau.Upon review of account it was confirmed that billing statements were sent to the patient, however it has been confirmed that the city was misspelled which could be
the reason that patient did not receive his billing statements. Address has now been corrected to reflect the correct spelling. Also, on 4/23/the late fee was removed as a courtesy to the patient. Please note that billing statements are sent as a courtesy, patient is responsible in making his payments per the installment contract and promissory note. Account reflects current and next payment is scheduled for 6/6/15, a billing statement was mailed to the patient on 5/20/15. As previously stated I requested ee work to make brige fit Dtsaid " you need to go find someone you will be happy with" I am not paying full price for services not rendered. The office immefiatly gave me a refferal slip & did not receive or return my callsthey did however take defuctions monthly from my accountthis item. as stated on initial complaint wouldnt have been the correct fithowever; Dr.never gave me a chance to make it fit now did he? then states even if I dont use it I will pay 1500.00.I am on a fixed income also dyslexic forms vbeing thown at me while in pain with teeth about to be extracted.....sighning here there ....im old I wanted dentures.now I csn not afford themthsnks to all of thisi would like to amicably solve thisHowever please I Should Not have to pay for teeth not ever received into my mouth...P.s.I was not welcomed back to the office for any adjustments.therefore I coulf not receive sny adjustments now could I? They told me to seek out other treatment gave me a refferal slip & woulnt take orreturn cslls.Technically when id call If id get through...id get put on hold @ 5- mini tried many times to communicate only got thu a hsndful of times ...same senario each time

Western Dental Services, Inc("WDS") is in receipt of the Revdex.com's inquiry regarding this case.As stated in previous email patient consented and agreed to x-rays and exam, unfortunately due to the wait time patient opted not to have the exam and left the office. Since it was patient's first office visit and in order for the dentist to complete a comprehensive oral exam and provide a proper diagnosis a full mouth x-ray is needed and required. The consent form will not state partial or full x-rays, since x-rays are completed based on the necessity, in this case it was full mouth x-rays due to first time appointmentAlso, as stated in previous email insurance company is only being billed for treatment completed, in this case a claim was sent for full mouth x-rays only. Patient is welcomed and encouraged to contact her insurance company for confirmation. Patient is also welcomed to return to the office for a comprehensive oral exam

I have contacted the business over a six month period numerous times and spoke to at least different people giving them my daughters new insurance information but the company keeps billing my daughters old insurance

We sincerely apologize for the email regarding the refund we have been working on your account along with another and the emails got mixedThat is my fault my deepest apologiesI have received word back from the refund manager and they did advise there will be no refundWe have attached your itemized statement showing the exact charges to your account to better explain the refund denial
We do advise if you do not agree with the findings and the itemized statement to speak to patient relations regarding you refund denial dispute
