My mother was contacted while she was in a lengthy hospital stay to renew her subscription. She consented, I'm sure, after much badgering by the employee. (She had told many of the CSR's she didn't want to pay the price - I know, I was in her presence many times.) She told the employee she did not have her credit card information because she was in the hospital.

What does the employee do? They renew her subscription, WHILE SHE IS IN THE HOSPITAL, with NO access to a device - not that she would have used the digital issue as she wanted the paper copy.

Then, you call and try to collect the unpaid bill while my mother is in HOSPICE?! What is wrong with you people?

I send a letter to an address on her bill in MI explaining why the bill would not be paid. Now the bill has been sent to a collection agency?

Because of the lack of regard to my mother's situation, I will have to hire an attorney to file harassment charges and dispute a $45 bill.

Call the customer this am and advised her she is on the DO NOT DELIVER list and I would have carrier come and pick the paper up and she stated, she would pick them up, she does not want the paper or any papers in her yard I have called and sent email to the carrier to STOP all deliver of FREE PAPERSI have also given her my name and number and ask her to call me if anything else happens She was very kind and stated she would let me know if there is any other problems

We have spoken to our 3rd party delivery vendor, [redacted] , about the importance of honoring this request As a check and balance we're asking that a member of ***'s staff physically verify that delivery has ceased to [redacted] ***'s home, over the next weeks Star-Telegram is asking that [redacted] send a confirmation e-mail (over the next weeks) confirming that physical inspection of household was conducted and that delivery to Kimberly's address has ceased [redacted] will also speak to the carrier that delivers to this neighborhood and make sure they understand the seriousness/importance of this request

We will not refund the amount customer is asking for There was never a call made to us until 11/28/She has been paying the auto with Auto draftand we have notices we sent to her showing the rate will change

Customers account with the Star-Telegram is stopped has a zero balance dueAccount has been closed with the collections agency, all collections will cease on this account Nothing has been reported to the credit bureau in regards to this account.Thanks***

We have contacted the carrier to stop all delivery of the free papers

Mr***, I reviewing your account I see that you have been a frequent subscriber to the Star-Telegram over the years Your latest subscription was started and paid on 5/19/ We received a renewal payment on 8/7/which paid your subscription until 9/20/ I do not see any payments after that dateAll subscriptions auto renew and home delivery continues for a graceperiod of up to days to ensure service isn’t interrupted while payments are sent and processedDuring this period customers receive multiple notifications that their subscription is up for renewalWe have no record of the subscriber contacting us to cancelling the subscriptionTherefore, we feel this is a legitimate debt Tell us why here

Call customer and things with his delivery has been great since Dec

We have contacted the customer and gave him days credit for missed newspapers and he is happy with that Also, gave him my contact information and advised him to give me or my team a call if there is any other problems I have contacted the carrier to see why he has not been receiving his paper and to throw it in his driveway

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I would have been fine with this, but this morning I discovered that there was a $charge to my AMEX card that I didn't recognize I contacted KINDLE and found out that it was for a subscription to the Star-Telegram I also found out that it had charged to my account times since September I will admit visiting the Star-Telegram online website a couple of times Between and times when I wanted information on a specific story that was going on I did not tell them to charge a subscription to my credit card though Amazon I would like to know where they got that information and why they did this My conversation with Amazon this morning they told me to go through American Express in order to secure a refund for $x = $- $(what they were able to refund at that time) or $ The Star-Telegram must be hurting to be doing business like this I would like to hear their response to these new charges Regards, [redacted]

Customer Service spoke with Mr***, An agreement was reached to pay 1/of the outstanding balance on the account We will honor the new start once we receive payment and the new start order is received from the carrier

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute I contacted Revdex.com on 7/27/about a problem with my renewal to the Star-Telegram I indicated that I no longer wanted to receive the newspaper and requested a full refund The following morning,Thursday, 7/28/at 8:am I received a phone call from Star Telegram telling me that the Revdex.com had notified them of my complaint I reiterated that I wanted the subscription renewal cancelled and I requested a full refund I was told it would take 5-days for the refund The paper was indeed stopped and we did not receive the paper for the next three days I was expecting that the matter was solved and that my refund would be forthcoming On Monday, 8/1/my husband received a message on his phone from Star-Telegram that they restarted delivery of the newspaper I immediately called Star-Telegram and told them again that I do not want the newspaper, I want the full refund that I was promised on July [redacted] , S-T rep, assures me that they will cancel the newspaper and process the refund She sat me an email indicating this I received the email indicating that the Circulation Office to refund $327.20, and that it would be generated in the next 7-business days I am still waiting for the refund [redacted] Revdex.com file # [redacted]

It was a valid debt and we have cancelled the balanceLeft msg on voice mail- Advised customer that when they sign up for the paper it states your account will continue unless we hear from the customer Your account goes into grace after the expire date We send 1st renewals out one month before account expires, if we do not hear from customer we sent 2nd renewal out after the account goes into grace Then we send a third one out before we stop the accountOn all the renewals it states account will not stop with out the customer asking us to stop
