Called customer and advised her this is a valid debt and we have cancelled the balance

FYI - This is the first I have seen this complaint. Here is our response.Ms***, Your outstanding balance of $with the Star-Telegram has be waived. You currently have a zero balance with the Star-Telegram for newspaper delivery service. Thanks***

This was not turned into the credit bureau, to do that we would have to have a social security number The collection agent works for us and we have contacted them to write the balance off

I called Ms*** and left her a message informing her that you account with the Star Telegram is closed and any outstanding balance was been waived The collection company has been contacted and collection efforts will cease, and no damage will be done to her credit history Per
customers request, her address has been added to the do not call and do not knock lists for the Star Telegram

Distributor has been contacted to permanently stop delivery of the Star Telegram product to this address

I have just mailed customer a letter letting her know that we have received payment and her expire date is 4/23/

Talk to customer and advised this was a valid debt and we have written it off this one time only
