I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Yes there have been a number of complaints previously and I believe that points to issues in warehouse, logistics, and within the company itself or companies utilized during the course of product storage, packing, fulfillment and delivery as opposed to the customer.  I am simply asking to receive what I paid for.  When I opened my box the item was missing, as I have experienced previously on numerous occasions within the past year when ordering from the company.  Previously they have been gracious and accommodating however not today.  I never denied the information provided regarding tracking and delivery confirmation, but the item I paid for has not been received.  I would simply request a refund or a replacement of the item at this point in time and perhaps the company needs to address operations within the warehouse rather than denying the customer product that they have been charged for. ]

We have called [redacted] and left a voicemail. We also followed up via email and reattached the return shipping label. She will be able to use that to send the items back to us.

We are not able to give out further information on this order, nor are we able to issue a chargeback. It appears someone may have input this customer's credit card information on our site. If there are fraudulent charges on the card, they must be reported to the bank. We apologize for any trouble.

[redacted] subscribed on October [redacted] under the email address he provided for this complaint. We charged [redacted] $20 when he subscribed for his first box. In reviewing [redacted]'s order, the promotion code for the 2 for 1 box deal was not included, which is why [redacted] did not receive 2...

boxes. As stated in our FAQ, we automatically rebill on the [redacted] of every month for Birchbox Man. This billing is automatic and occurs if the subscription is not cancelled before the [redacted]. [redacted] did not cancel, so his account automatically rebilled. However, the attempted charges were declined due to insufficient funds, so we never received payment on October ** or **. Though a box was shipped for the first initial charge, we have refunded [redacted] and that should appear back on his account in 3-5 business days. Overdraft fees come from the bank, so we are not able to restore those fees as we did not extract them. If [redacted] could please pass along the email address associated with the women's subscription, we will be happy to take a look into that as well, but we cannot locate the women's subscription without an email address.

Our policy concerning points for sample reviews recently changed, and we notified subscribers of this change via email in June. Birchbox does allow subscribers to review their first 5 samples for 50 Birchbox points, a $5 credit in our store. After that, subscribers are not able to review their boxes...

for points each month. This is listed on our FAQ. The advertisement described in this complaint is shown under a banner that reads "Subscribe Now!" because it is referring to reviews for the first box only, and is encouraging non-subscribers to subscribe and review their first box. This subscriber was able to review both her July and August boxes successfully, and she was compensated with Birchbox points. We will not be compensating further.

This customer purchased a men's monthly...

rebillable subscription. As listed on our FAQ, these automatically renew on the [redacted] of every month, which is why they are called rebillable subscriptions. When the subscription automatically renewed, she was billed for a 2nd box, as is clear on our website. Both boxes have been shipped to this customer, so she will receive them. Despite the fact that we shipped both boxes, we refunded her for both charges. This customer mentioned she did not receive the refund, so we also mailed her a check. In total, she will receive 2 free boxes, as well as a check for $40. We will not be compensating further.

As indicated on our FAQ, Birchbox Man subscription boxes are non refundable as we are a discovery service. We do give subscribers the option to edit a profile that helps us determine what to include in their boxes each month. [redacted] reached out to us on August * and Mollie responded and offered to...

assist him in editing his Grooming Profile to improve his experience for next month. We have now refunded [redacted] as a courtesy, and we will be happy to assist him if he has any trouble going forward.

While we do send spoiler emails and display sneak peek videos on our website, we also state in our FAQ and in our videos that the items depicted are only some of the samples that we are sending in the boxes that month. We create sometimes up to 50 different box types each month, and the boxes vary...

based on a user's Beauty Profile. For this reason, a subscriber doesn't always receive the exact samples depicted in the spoiler materials. This subscriber's box was shipped and marked delivered. Rest assured, we issued a refund for this box despite the fact that it was received.

We have contacted this customer to let her know we will be replacing her box and adding an additional box for the month of August that she missed. We apologize that we were unavailable when she initially reached out, but a specialist has been in touch now, and is happy to reship anything that has...

Customer has been back and forth with CS several times and Subscription has been successfully cancelled as of 10/**/17. One of the charges (for $20) has been refunded as of this date as well. Only three (3) successful $20 charges have been processed by the merchant with all subscription boxes...

showing as delivered and final box showing a delivery date of 10/**/17. Subscription boxes have been delivered by the local post office to the address on file without any delivery issues per the tracking--which has been emailed to customer when each box has shipped.

Customer has been refunded for this monthly shipment and should allow 3-5 business days for funds to reflect back within account.

Customer's original order is showing delivered on 8/** via [redacted]. This was delivered within business SLA of 5-10 business days from order date.    2 additional replacement orders have now been sent out to customer via expedited [redacted] and will be received free of...

charge. First replacement order was shipped under [redacted] Ground which is considered expedited shipping.  $25 in store credit was added to account on 8/**, the day the first reship order went out. CS agent has reshipped an additional time free of charge as well, again under [redacted].  Customer has been compensated for any delays in kind via store credit and free order replacements.

Customer's funds have been successfully issued via customer's bank's chargeback process. The funds are not being held by merchant. Merchant site is secure as all transactions submitted to merchant are encrypted with industry-standard security software which encrypts information input to protect it from interception by outside parties. We are fully committed to maintaining the highest levels of security and protection against fraud.

The customization window the customer is referencing is live on the merchant's site at the end of each month as advertised. A previous agent additionally suggested checking spam/junk folders to see if an email notification was there as customer is opted into merchant's promotional emails. The $5 fee was refunded for this additional customization on 5/**/17 to account for customer disappointment as well as a return shipping label was sent for customer to send back May box for an additional refund to the remaining $10 box fee.

When we refund an item or order, we issue a full refund to the original form of payment. This will include the credit card and/or any Birchbox Points used. The points used as payment would be distributed among all the items in an order, rather than applied to just one item.Points that were earned...

from this purchase will be removed from the account as well. Total of order was $21.80. Item returned was credited back $7.36 + 169 Birchbox Points. Remaining items in order total to: $8.25/200 Points and $6.19/153 Points. A $10 discount was also applied to the order, as were 522 Birchbox Points.
