Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The nature of my complaint is that (1) the business is misrepresenting itself (by not promptly identifying the name of the company "Geek Support Live" at the beginning of their sales calls and instead implying that it is [redacted] /" [redacted] customer service"--a practice commonly referred to as a " [redacted] scam"), and (2) that they are refusing to identify sales calls as such (despite telemarketing sales regulations requiring that they do so)Removing my name from their call list does not resolve either of those issuesThey need to dramatically alter their regular business practices in order to resolve these issues Sincerely, [redacted]

I have found Geek to be very supportive, excellent and very professional There team is very polite

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was told that the company would perform technical analysis and support at no charge, but that after the service was completed, I would have to pay and an invoice was shown on my screenI could not access my computer during this timeIn essence, my computer was held hostage unless I filled out the credit card information on the invoiceTh "technician" said his name was "Phillip" and he was a Windows technicianWhen I realized that this was a scam, I contacted my personal computer service provider who told me to turn the computer off and bring it to him, which I didHe removed the problem that was blocking my access to my own computer and made sure that it was secureHe advised me to check all my password protected applications to make sure that my data was safeBasically, I couldn't use my own computer without providing credit card information to this scammerIn order to get my computer working again, I was forced to have this company's software removed by my own computer specialist.I will not consider this complaint resolved without receiving reimbursement for the cost of recovering my computer: $ Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I reject this response because the guy who said he couldn't find a record of calling my phone number is a blatant liarThis company is obviously very dishonest as evidenced by their business modelI didn't spend or minutes arguing with a ghost and I most certainly did not make this upIf this company was honest, I would be able to call the number that I was called from, but its a recording for a number that isn't in serviceHonest companies don't spoof their numbersThis guy and this company is a joke and a scamThey will continue to screw over elderly folks and those who aren't techno savvyBut hey, this is AmericaIf they don't screw you, the government probably willCheers....Sincerely, [redacted]

Received a call from an "unavailable" numberI man with a heavy accent said he was with "Geek Support Live." I asked over and over where they got my phone number, and what they were selling, and was finally told they got my phone number from [redacted] These people are obnoxious, rude, and obviously preying on people who are less than experienced using a computer! After interrupting me to tell me again my computer was "infected," they finally hung up on meI will report them to [redacted] and the FTC
