On time, knowledgeable service technician.

Terry H came out for routine furnace maintenance and it ended up being much complex than that. There were two other potentially significant issues he ended up troubleshooting and resolving before he left. All through the process he was willing to answer all my questions to make sure I completely understood what he was doing. He wanted to make sure I understood the problems so I could prevent them in the future. The service was OUTSTANDINg and he was incredibly patient and understanding. I'd pick him again in a heartbeat.

All my experiences thus far with Genz-Ryan have been positive. Their phone representatives and service personnel are friendly and very helpful. Jeff P. came today for a yearly checkup on my furnace (from being under their service plan). He was friendly and knowledgeable and provided insight on what we can do to get the best performance of our furnace in addition to proactively watching furnace parts that may need replacement in the coming years due to the age of the furnace and usual wear from use. He helped provide estimates on cost as well so we can plan ahead for potential part replacements. I value his expertise in his craft and I would highly recommend Genz-Ryan to everyone.

My family and I had a very pleasant experience with Loren B. He was very knowledgable and thorough in detecting the problem and offering various solutions to fit our needs. He was personable and patient, which helped us choose one of the six offered plans to fix our old air conditioning system. We were very impressed and look forward to working with this company more in the future.

Noah called and let me know when he was on his way to my house. He spent over 2 hours fixing my furnace and programming it. He would explain to me about the programming as he did it. He told me about their filter delivery service. Everything was great except I could smell cigarette smoke.

Genz-Ryan overall is A+++. From the beginning they have been courteous, professional and honest. The customer service they provide is a class act. The Install Technician, John Burke, installed my new furnace in temps over 85 degrees. If he ran into a challenge, he met it and exceeded it with excellent repair. I cannot say enough about how amazing this company and all of the employees are!!

Zach was timely and knowledgeable on our water heater problem. Work was completed
in fine fashion and work area left clean. Zach was helpful with another minor plumbing problem we had, too. The service call cost was reasonable. dwj

Were able to get us an appointment quickly, and Noah did a good job of explaining the problem + our options for fixing it.

Jeff [redacted] serviced our A/C a few times recently. He did an outstanding job finally figuring out the problem. An earlier GR tech last year told us to get a higher MERV rated filter. The other person said to go from a MERV of 8 to 13 or higher. We did this in July this year, but soon thereafter it unit froze up and leaked water. Jeff figured out the problem and told us to go back to a MERV rating og 8 or less. We did it, and now the A/C works fine. This is after a $1300 fee to fix the A/C we paid to an earlier GR tech. Jeff P. deserves high accolades.

Jeff did a fantastic job installing my air conditioner. He was polite, clean, and thorough in his explanations. I would definitely use him again.

The e-mail above states that I have received further communication form Genz Ryan to inform you. I was contacted by Genz Ryan last night via e-mail and asked to call and speak with them this morning. During our conversation they offered...

to remove the $99 service charge, but still hold us accountable for the $800-$1000 in repairs for our A/C unit. Frankly, I did not find this as a fair compromise as I had already paid $87 with another company to come and perform the diagnostic service because of their lack of availability, so them waiving a fee to tell me what I already know was of no assistance to help remedy this problem.

I understand it is Genz Ryans choice on how to handle this matter, however as an A+ Revdex.com rated organization whose mission statement is devoted to providing a high level of customer service, I would have thought we would have been received much better service.

In recap, I have an A/C unit that the Genz Ryan warranty expired on March 24th of 2014. With the unseasonably cold winter, the first time we turned the unit on was May 27th and experienced problems. This appears to be a known issue with the Carrier model A/C unit we have and there are even investigations into a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer Carrier themselves. The parts for the unit would be covered under the Carrier warranty, and all I am asking for is Genz Ryan to take care of a customer and properly service the equipment. I have e-mail documentation of my conversation between myself and Genz Ryan, if it would be helpful for me to send this to you I certainly can.

Genz-Ryan goes above and beyond the call to help customers!! My air conditioner sprung a serious leak, and needed to have the "a coil" replaced. I was being quoted $1300-$2200 to replace it from other hvac companies. A friend recommended Genz-Ryan. After a FREE check out of my ac system, they quoted me UNDER $1300!! A few days after installation, I noticed water on the floor around the unit, I gave them a call and they came out the next day and cleaned and replaced some of the hose that runs from the unit to the drain...at NO COST!! Very personable and professional!!

I had a furnace replacement, plumbing estimate, and electrical work done. The communication on what needed to happen was very poor. The entire crew was supposed to come at once and get everything done. The electrician did part of the work and left and the plumber never came. Over 6 hours and multiple phone calls later a plumber finally showed up. The estimate was three times the cost of other companies. I asked for a detailed invoice on the work that was done and still haven't received it after 3 days and multiple phone calls.

I started with a call to Genz Ryan to schedule an AC tune up in mid July. The technician, Jake, came to our house in late July. He told my wife that we need a long list of things fixed so my wife told him to send an email then talk to me about the options. After a few days, I call the office since we had not heard from Jake. The office said he would call me. After three more days, I call the office back since I had not heard from anyone. He email me a list of options without any prices so I called him. We discussed the options and I said I would schedule after a week of vacation. I then call the office on the 17th of August. I was informed that Jake no longer worked there so they needed to send out a new technician. On Aug. 19th, Ryan came out and explained what needed to be fixed which the list grew from $2200 to $2600 with additional leak in the AC. We scheduled the repairs for Aug. 24th. A new technician(do not know his name) arrived on the 24th and spend 4 hours doing the repairs and left at 3 pm. I arrived home at 5:30 pm and noticed the AC was not kicking on. We spend one hot night without AC. I called the office back on the 25th when Jeff P. came out to find that the previous tech switched two wires so he fixed the wiring. After 4 technicians and $2600, we have AC working which it was working before we started this processes.
