Great service by Noah F. of Genz Ryan Plumbing and Heating. Prompt response and detailed work. Very friendly and helpful explaining the issues and the recommended fix. I will continue to use Genz-Ryan for all my future needs.

Called for help with an old leaky faucet. Bill B. was courteous, professional and accomplished. What more can anyone ask?
On addition, the people who answer your phone are always wonderful. I commend them on their friendly professionalism.

I had Chad [redacted] from Genz-Ryan Plumbing & Heating Company, Inc come and take care of the leaking main water pipe. He gave an estimate before starting the job and took care of the issue. He successfully and satisfactorily completed the job in less than 20 minutes. I would always go back to Chad [redacted] from Genz-Ryan Pluming.
On the other hand, 3 days before, I had another plummer (Bill) from [redacted] came to take care of the job. He wined and wined and said how difficult it is and charged the heavy amount and did not even do the job. Not only did he charge me but not complete the job as he said it's not fixable. He gave me another quote to replace and the cost was 5 times what I paid to Genz-Ryan to do the same. I will never go back to [redacted], bad experience the first time.

I contacted Genz-Ryan for an estimate to replace my 20-yr old furnace and air conditioning systems. Jeremey R, hvac technician, was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable of the various systems available. I appreciated his trustworthy feedback on the various options that would meet my hvac needs. He took the time to explain the differences between some of the hvac systems and answer my questions. The installation service was scheduled 2 business days after Jeremey's visit. The installation by other techs went smoothly, and the new system runs and looks great.

Quick and Friendly service. Matt outlined all of my options for repair. I asked a few questions regarding implications of my choice and he answered them fairly and honestly. Service was completed with a few hours, very fast. Nice guy and good company.

Do not hire Genz-ryan, they charge flat rates for any work done and said flat rates are insanely expensive. We paid $405 for a garbage disposal replacement that took less than 1 hour and I provided the new disposal! I should have cancelled the appointment that I had to wait 2 days for anyways.

We had a service plan with Genz-Ryan and after the first two visits they made to their house, it's two strikes, they're out.

First, we were charged extremely high prices for service and labor ($1100 for a $300 part to be installed). The technician sold us an upgraded motor for our furnace. We do not know how to install any HVAC equipment, so to be honest, we just paid it.

Second, we had a technician come to do an A/C checkup and not only was the service tech rude to me, but my wife. He also answered a phone call from his dispatcher on speakerphone while working in our house - the dispatcher told him he needed to go back to his last call because he was there an hour ago and their A/C did not work. He responded very sarcastically and made fun of the customer. We felt this was unprofessional. Then, as he was leaving, I asked if we could have the old part back that he had upgraded. He responded by telling me that it was "his part now" and that I could not have it back. He put it in his bag and told me "possession is 9/10 of the rule, so it's not yours anymore." I will never know why he wanted to take that part and not give it back to me, but the next part of this story is what made me very suspicious...
Just one day after the service had been completed, our A/C did not work. I called Genz-Ryan to have them come back and fix our A/C. They sent a technician back the same day I called. Apparently the original technician had wired the unit incorrectly and forgotten to turn the power back on. The technician who ultimately made the repair made an excuse that it might have been "a long day" for the guy who made the mistakes... My opinion, Genz-Ryan -- don't send a technician out who cannot perform the service.

I called Genz-Ryan to try and reach a solution, and fortunately, their customer service manager allowed me to get out of the service plan. Based on this experience, and experiences other customers I know have had, I would not recommend this business to anyone I know.

Brian H. Installed a new water softener and removed the old one for us. He did a great job, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable .

Poor communication and highly overpriced. I was informed that I was being charged a flat rate for labor based on the repair needed and told the repair would take 4-6 hours. You must pay before they start service. The repair took less than 2 hours and was later told by customer service that I was also paying for the "runner/trainee". They charged $200 to come to my house to tell me the issue with my furnace. The part needed to repair the furnace was covered by warranty. I had to pay just shy of $1,700 for the labor (less than 2 hours). Customer service says I was just lucky that I got a fast technician and that I need to understandstand that they are a premium company and they have premium prices. Please shop around and avoid this company!

We have used Genz-Ryan for our heating and plumbing needs for over 15 years! We call them when we need service - and when we need something replaced. We even went through their home improvement/remodeling division when we decided to renovate our master bathroom! They are always knowledgeable, professional and courteous!

I had another outstanding experience with Genz Ryan. Lance our Tech did a great job.

The service we received from Genz Ryan was fantastic! The technicians that came into our home were extremely respectful, polite and knowlegable. I was well informed of what they were doing and why. When an issue came up with our water heater, everything was fully explained to me and then over the phone to my husband. They went above and beyond to make sure we were making an informed decision.

Brian came to our house for our water heater tune-up; he was professional, thorough, detailed in his explanations, knowledgeable - a great service technician over all, and this reflects well on the company. Highly recommended!

Noah did a great job cleaning up our A/C and troubleshooting the control panel which prevented our unit from running.

Now with warmer weather it is a blessing to have a working A/C!
