Chris and Joe installed my new high efficiency furnace yesterday and did an amazing job. They swapped out an 80 efficiency furnace for a 96.1 efficiency. Their professionalism with working through and solving how to properly vent the new furnace since they could not use the old exhaust and rebuilding some of the duct work that just did not look as clean as they wanted it to look. I know it is a utility room but I very much appreciate the fact they were willing to take the time to installed all the pipes and duct work in a very organized way to make it just look very clean. They could have taken the easy direct line to the intake and exhaust of the furnace to speed up the job but took their time to clean up what was already a very busy intersection of pipes. When my A/C unit needs to be replace I would have no problem having these guys comeback and install that system as well.

Joel P. replaced my water heater and installed a water softener for my home. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. He addressed all my concerns. He also explained what went wrong with the old water heater, reasons why, tips to prevent it, what can be done, what is best, and what is reasonable. An overall excellent experience.

Steve M. of Genz-Ryan Plumbing and Heating exceeded all my expectations. He arrived early, communicated all the options clearly, extremely knowledgeable, and was very expedient to finish the job.

We were extremely pleased with the work done on our furnace by Genz-Ryan technician Terry H. He did a complete and thorough review of our furnace along with the needed replacement of two new fan motors.. He had one motor in his truck and located the other at a distributor and delivered by a Genz-Ryan service man and installed all w/i three hours. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional and we'll continue to use Genz- Ryan for all of our future HVAC needs........

We had been considering replacing our 15 year-old furnace due to some problems with its performance.
I had already received 2 proposals for the replacement of the furnace and the A/C. When Jeremey came from Genz-Ryan to give me a third proposal, he presented the proposal in terms of solutions with each option having a respective price tag. One of the solutions was a refurbishment of the existing furnace. Jeremey checked the furnace heat exchanger manufacturer's warranty and noted that it was good for 20 years. After some thought, we decided to go with the refurb as we are not sure how much longer we will be staying in our home. None of the first two vendors presented me with a refurb as an option.
As our decision was made, Jeremey said he could do the work that day and could return after getting the necessary parts to complete the job. We agreed and he said he would return about 2:30 in the afternoon to replace the parts. We thanked him for his professionalism in completing the job. If this is the level of service to be expected from Genz-Ryan, I would have no problem calling on them again or recommending them.
We also decided to purchase their yearly maintenance program for $10 a month which included a fall and spring checkup and a year's worth of furnace filters. I considered that a plus as they will automatically schedule the checkups and I don't have to go the the hardware store to find the correct filters anymore.

Terry [redacted] did a great job at explaining was was needed to repair my humidifier.

[redacted] came out to check out our heater, he also offered to check out the ac. He suggested several options that I had not even known to be available, such as a better filtration system to help with my family's allergies. He was very professional and made us feel like a valuable customer. I appreciate the work and will call him again with a heating need.

I've had Genz-[redacted] technicians to my home five times since using their "free service call" sticker this summer, and have been very happy with each visit. I called first to get a price on the installation of a new toilet. The tech explained that the old one was running because of a wrong-sized part in the back tank, and that he could order the correct size for me. I told him I wanted a low-flush model, which he located in spite of needing an odd size and color. He installed it the next week, and when it ran occasionally two months later, another person came out, evaluated the problem, and made an adjustment. It's been fine since then.

The other calls have been for a/c and furnace cleaning. In both cases the techs explained what they did, what needed to be done immediately (nothing), and what could be done to extend the life of the appliances. I've been happy with those fixes, too, and would recommend the company without hesitation.

Dave B. was scheduled to do maintenance on my water heater. He was very courteous and professional right from the start. He explained what he was going to do and proceeded to get his equipment to start the process. He even allowed my young son to continue to bombard him with questions while he was working (he was so nice to him!) answering each and every inquiry with a lot of patience, all the while still working on the flush. After he completed his scheduled task he asked if I was on the maintenance package and I told him I was so he offered to do the regular plumbing checkup that I would be entitled to with the package. This was a great help since I didn't really want to take off of work again for another maintenance item. Dave was very efficient and paid attention to the details and explained what might need to be fixed or replaced and within what timeframe. I was very grateful for his service. I would highly recommend the maintenance package service from Genz-Ryan if you are not a handy person and you have very little knowledge of the inner workings of your systems. It definitely gives me peace of mind that someone who knows what they are doing did a check up and felt things were ship-shape.

My service tech was Mike R. He was very professional and courteous. He did a great job and preformed all service as required.

Had my refrigerator unit break on me. The service technician from Genz-Ryan was very friendly, knowledgeable and very polite.

Mike was very knowledgeable and was willing to take the time to walk you through both my needed repairs and new furnace options. We ended up choosing a new furnace and he was very helpful in showing all the options from top of the line to bottom of the barrel. There was no pressure to buy the top and he explained how certain options on the top can be added later if you want them which helped make the buying process very easy.

Tom was great.Was willing to rearrange his schedule to get the new water heater installed right away since we had no hot water. Very knowledgeable with the installation of water heater. Very careful w/keeping everything covered and clean.

We've had Genz Ryan Plumbing put in a water heater in the past. The service tech was very efficient and nice. When we had another plumbing issue with the plumbing under the kitchen sink, we didn't hesitate to call Genz Ryan. We had Brian, the service tech, fix the issue and then he checked all the other plumbing in the home. He found the handle to the home's hot water shut-off (upper valve) was extremely hard to close. My wife would've found it impossible to shut the water off if she would have had to. Brian put a new handle on that is user friendly. My wife and I feel confident that, if there is an emergency, we both can shut the water off. This is something we wouldn't have thought to check until we actually needed to use it...so thank you Brian. Brian also pointed to some issues that may need maintenance in the future. Very knowledge, patient with all the questions we had, and to top it off he did a great job fixing the issues at hand. Customer service and a job well done is what keeps us going back to a business.
