On August 6, 2020, my AC unit was failing to call my home. I called George Brazil four emergency service, and was told that someone would arrive between eight and midnight. My AC service professional, Chuck W. Called me about 8:15 and said he was in route. I saw him about 10 minutes later and he got to work immediately. By 10:30 my air-conditioning was blowing nice cool air. Very professional, friendly, and a great representative for George Brazil.

Response time is great and customer service excellent. Our repairman Joe was outstanding and very friendly.

Chuck W was awesome, super helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you so much!

Bryan D. and Nathan G. came out for a full duct clean and did an amazing job. They were both extremely professional, courteous and performed the actual work with excellence. We couldn't have been more happy with the service they provided and the way they went about their business. Two thumbs up, five stars, all aces...I'd recommend these guys to anyone. Well done!

Michelle J. came to diagnose and repair my A/C unit today. She was very professional, friendly, and kind. She was honest, and carefully explained all of my options, too. As a first-time homeowner, having someone who could guide me through my first major repair was fantastic. Fantastic work, thank you!

Our AC was not working properly on a Friday night. Rose M. came to our house quickly, well before our scheduled window, which was amazing given how hot AZ summers can be! She was incredibly friendly and thorough, even repairing work that was just recently serviced by another local company. She made sure we understood what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. She was very apologetic for how long it took to repair the previous company's bad labor and didn't even charge us extra to re-plumb work that was incorrectly installed. We are selling our home and were not planning on an unexpected AC issue, but Rose fixed everything perfectly and made us feel at ease that it wasn't a major, high cost issue. She was so personable and great at her job, that I 100% plan on calling her for any issues/maintenance at my new home!

I discovered George Brazil ten years ago when they installed a new high-efficiency Air Conditioner and Furnace. I have had a new water heater and added an additional duct in my home since then. They replaced all the lights in our home with money-saving LED lights and they replaced the shower plumbing in the master shower. This last spring (2020) they replaced my breaker box and added a whole-home surge protector. I have annual contracts for both electrical and plumbing. I highly recommend George Brazil in general. My most recent incident, warranty work on my air conditioner, was performed by Chuck W. and I am more than pleased with his work.

Before retirement, I owned my own business for 30 years and I strongly believe that for many reasons, preventative maintenance is less expensive than emergency repairs. Working with George Brazil has been a pleasure and brings a feeling of comfort and safety.

Been using George Brazil AC & Heating for two years. They put in a great new unit, plus a Honeywell digital thermostat, two years ago.
Service Tech Chuck W just left after quickly diagnosing a plugged drain line that tripped the automatic shut off for the system (to avoid an overflow issue possibly causing wet carpet, wet drywall, etc!). What a relief! Not only did Chuck quickly diagnose that the equipment did its job, but he also quickly opened the drain line, gave me some serious tutoring on the digital thermostat, and set up the app for me on my phone! Woo-hoo! And what a NICE guy!!!

George Brazil installed my HVAC ten years ago and I have been using them ever since. My latest contact was with GB employee Michelle J., who performed an inspection on my dual HVAC system. Michelle arrived promptly, did a thorough evaluation, and explained what she was finding along the way. I felt confident that Michelle knew what she was doing and appreciated her feedback. Thanks again, Michelle, for a job well done!

A/C wouldn’t kick on today in the 110 degree plus heat in Arizona. Called George Brazil and had someone out in a few hours. Rose M. came out, quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem, fixed it, went above and beyond to clean up, and explained everything she was doing. A+ service, will definitely use them again.

DO NOT trust George Brazil for Air Conditioning. Customer Service was non-existent.

Service tech came out on 7/7/20 to assess why my AC unit is not cooling. He pumped 2 lbs of refrigerant into it at $140 a pound. He then quoted the repair being $280 which my wife agreed to with the understanding this would fix the problem. He told her AFTER he put the refrigerant in that the system was leaking. Upon knowing this, she questioned his decision to put expensive fluid into a leaking system without first determining where it’s leaking and repairing it FIRST. So-$280 was the charge at this point. We agreed to pay the charge.

I arrived shortly later and service tech told me the system possibly had a flow restriction, was icing up and was leaking leaking from an undermined source. I immediately wondered why he recharged it with fluid! He didn’t bring a ladder to examine the remaining system in the attic. I supplied my own ladder and systems filters, so he agreed to check the attic unit and place the filters in the unit.
After coming down he advised he pumped another 2 lbs of fluid into the system again without finding the leak, and WITHOUT my knowledge he was putting more fluid into it. My wife and I questioned the leak issue again, and he quickly said there are NO guarantees with his service whatsoever. He never checked his work.
He said the charge is now $560 which I reluctantly paid.

He never checked the proper operation before leaving and we realized the system wasn’t cooling in the days to come. Nothing was fixed.

I’m raising this concern with regards to the 100% satisfaction guarantee written on my invoice.
It’s very unethical as a professional AC service to not fully explain the problem and advise us NOT to waste refrigerant in a system that is believed to be leaking, not been repaired first, or is unable to be repaired, and ultimately cannot cool the house. We depended on the expertise of the service technician and as a result we were charged $560 without any positive outcome whatsoever.

HERE’S THE BIGGEST ISSUE:

My wife and I called George Brazil repeatedly for over a week, voicing our concern with BEING CHARGED $560 AND OUR UNIT STILL DOESN'T COOL.

We were promised a call back by management- no calls. Not one over two weeks.
At one point they told us they couldn’t find any visit to our home in their system and so asked us to send an email describing the problem. I sent a detailed email, gave them the invoice number and again, NO REPLY.
We are extremely dissatisfied with GEORGE BRAZIL and soon realized “asking about their 100% satisfaction guarantee” results in no answer, and zero concern for us.

We have had George Brazil as our A/C, Heating, and Plumbing specialists since 2013 and honestly don't plan on going anywhere else. Most recently, we had our semiannual cooling and heating service, and everything checked out right. Surprisingly, the following week one of our A/C units stopped working. We called immediately that afternoon, scheduled for a middle of the night service call, and received a call from Chuck W, the service pro, much earlier than expected at 9PM. Chuck showed up with a smile, listened to my tale of events, examined the unit, made a diagnosis, and corrected the issue. Not only did he fix the problem but he spent another half hour fixing the rattling sound in one of our air vents in the family room. Thank you, Chuck for going the extra mile and taking the time. George Brazil is blessed to have you on their team.

Mike F. arrived on time to repair our air conditioner on a 109 degree day. He was knowledgeable, polite and courteous. He found the problem immediately. He then offered a maintenance contract for a year to insure my system worked as designed; this contract price was reasonable and I elected to purchase it. Mike tested the rest of the system and explained the functionality of it in easy to understand language. G. Brazil is fortunate to have a competent person like Mike working for them.

Mike F was very informative, knowledgeable and efficient. He fixed the fan in our A/C and was kind enough to answer all of our questions. He offered advice for making our cooling more efficient. I was most impressed with his manners and courtesy. I would recommend him and GB to all.

I am commenting again on Chuck Wilson, service technician extraordinaire. Chuck needed to order parts to complete my warrnty repair and was again on time, courteous, explained everything he did and also repaired something that needed fixing, improving a wire bundle wrap that was deteriorating.
He's a stellar tech and a very nice man.

I would like to commend two technicians who provided my family and I with excellent customer service.
Jason Z. showed excellent customer service and leadership when he came out to our home to inspect a non-functioning vent. Although he wasn't able to remedy the issue during his call, he established a clear path forward, realistic expectations and provided reassurance.
Chuck W. showed up with a can-do attitude and prepared to go to work. He identified the specific problems involved and resolved the matter of the non-functioning vent, which made a huge difference in the comfort of our home.
These service professionals showed great teamwork and a great attitude. They're definitely assets to their organization. Thank you guys!
