Review: I filed a claim on my iphone 5 on dec ** 2013 as per my contract. On Dec ** I was called at my alternative number (my phone broke) that they could not furnish me with a new iphone 5 so they offered to send me a check in the amount of 599.99 to cover the cost of a new phone of my choice!. Mind you when I filed the claim I paid an immediate 179.00 deductible and 799.99 was put as a hold on credit card to make sure I returned the broken phone when I recieved the new one or as they have decided the check for 599. On Dec. ** 2013 I called again as I had not recieved the check! I was told I would recieve a call from the accounting department with the date the check was cut and mailed. On jan * I called again as I had not recieved a call nor have I recieved the check and was told again that I would recieve a call from above accounting dept with information. Today is Dec * and still no phone call or check! The 30 day hold on the credit card will be up on Jan ** and at that time they will charge me another 799 because I haven't returned broken phone. The contract states I return phone only when I recieve new phone or check! I honestly feel that I am being defrauded by this company!Desired Settlement: settlement is tough! I want my check of 599 that they offered to be given to me a refund of the 799 they have put on my credit card! I want them to fufill the contract! This is ridiculous! I have been using a borrowed cell phone this entire time!

It is jan ** 2014 and I have not recieved the said check! My credit card has been charged $799.00 because I havent sent the broken phone! The contract is very specific that I am to recieve either the check or phone before returning broken phone! I am now out 1. A working phone 2. $200.00 for the so called warranty policy for phone 3. $179.00 for the deductible 4. $799.00 on credit card and 5. $800 for the cost of a new Iphone since they were unable to fufill contract with a replacement phone! So far they are out absolutly nothing and have a whole lot of my money!

Refund of the $699.99 was done on 1/**/14 normally it takes 3-5 business days to reflect on the customer credit card statement.

Review: We have purchased insurance through Rogers Communication, a wireless provider in Canada who involved Global Warranty as a third party. We had lost our phone and when we contacted Global Warranty, they stated that they no longer carry the iPhone 5 and that they would issue us a cheque for what the phone was worth. To this day, we have not received a replacement phone nor a cheque. Moreover we are awaiting a refund on the credit card where the money for the phone's deductible was charged.Desired Settlement: We would like the "pending" cheque to be received and the deductible charged on our credit card to be refunded. The cheque should not be made out for what the iPhone 5 is worth today, as the cost has depreciated but rather for what it was worth when the company had stated they would issue the cheque for $899 six months ago.

Review: This company is a fraud. I purchased warranty to have my broken phone fixed. I sent in my cell phone, charger and battery as well as my money order to have them send me my new phone within 48 hours. I have received nothing back after three weeks. They cannot tell me what's going on and why I do not have a phone. Hundreds of other people have had the same thing happen to them. I pay money each month as well as the deductible I paid. They have taken my money and not given me a new phone.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a fully functioning 16gb iphone 5 with a charger as promised by my warranty. If there is any problems with this new phone they will fix it. If this is not an available option I would like a cheque to cover the entire cost of a new cell phone, including taxes.

I have filed claim for coverage in May 2014, they accepted my deductible of $179.00 and a hold on a credit card of $699 until the broken product would be returned to them.

Note: a choice of: 1. sending product to them first or 2. deposit of $699.00 held until new product shipped out then broken product returned to them.

Shortly, they advised me of their inability to provide a replacement product and offer a cheque for the value of the product . I accepted that proposal on June [redacted], 2014.

And so the "delay" ensued. Repeated contact to the customer enquiry line, with promises to request an expedited response from accounting, were fruitless.

Eventually I got an email response from [redacted] on June [redacted], 2014

We appreciate your patience; we apologize for the delay in getting your check to you. Your business is important to us; let us explain why there has been a delay in getting you your check. In Canada we discovered that some of our dealers have submitted fraudulent claims with our company. With this being said, we are working through all our check requests to make sure that the legitimate claims get a check, this process is taking longer than we have anticipated. We guarantee you that you will receive your check however at this time we do not have an ETA. We are having checks mailed on a daily basis and we are working hard to get these checks processed for our customers.

I clarified that my claim must not be grouped in with the fraudulent claims as it was filed personally.

Since, I have had one response on June [redacted] and no further responses to six additional attempts at communication asked for a status update. It has been 3 full months for a process that was to take 5 days.

I have taken all steps in good faith and paid all expected cost and provided funds for hold in a timely manner. GWG has not.Desired Settlement: Refund cheque as promised for broken product (@ $500), and refund cheque for the credit card hold of $699.00 plus 2% monthly interest charges accrued since May 2014.

Once I receive the cheque for replacement product, I will return the broken product. Once they receive the broken product, immediately (within 5 days) produce a cheque for $699.00 plus 2% monthly interest I have incurred since the hold on the credit card.

Review: I filed a claim for my Samsung Galaxy S4 at the end of January of 2014. A few days later I called and they said that they couldn't find my replacement phone so they will send me a check. They said it would take 7-10 business days. After 10 days I called to see what was taking so long. All I got was that my check for $600 was processing and that they will notify the escalation crew to give me and update by calling me back. It's been over 2 weeks and I'm still getting the same response. A check can not still be processing for over 2 weeks.Desired Settlement: All I want is my $600 check. I'm 17 years of age. I live by myself. I have no way of contacting my mother who lives in another state. It's very critical I get that check to get a new phone. Review: I purchased Cell phone insurance from Global Warranty Group via a Rogers Authorized Dealer located at [redacted] in [redacted] in [redacted]. The agreement stated that they would replace my iPhone 5 should I lose or damage. In OCTOBER 2013, my phone was not functioning properly so I contacted Global Warranty Group through Rogers to inquire about replacing it. They assured me that all I had to do was pay the deductible and send in my phone and they could then replace it with an iPhone of equal or higher value. However, only after I paid the deductible and sent in my phone did someone contact me informing me they no longer have any iPhone 5's in stock. What they suggested was that I buy a new phone and they would then send me a cheque valued at $699.00. I asked how long it would take to receive the cheque and they said that it shouldn't take long. It is now JULY 2014 and I have yet to receive the cheque. I have contacted customer service at least 15 times and they continually tell me that they are working on it. They have even told me that someone will get back to me within 48 hours to further discuss the matter but I have only received a call back once. During this phone call (that took place July *, 2014), the gentlemen who I spoke to told me they are sending the cheque within one week. It has been two weeks and the cheque has still not been sent. To make matters worse, I am a student and require this money to pay for my rent and groceries.I feel like I have been treated horrifically by this company and that I am completely being taken advantage of. This needs to be dealt with soon as I am struggling financially and cannot wait another year before they send me the cheque.Desired Settlement: The cheque needs to be sent to me by the end of July latest. If this is not possible, I would like a phone call within the next week telling me exactly when I will be receiving this cheque and the cheque must be delivered by the date specified. If any later, I believe I am entitled to an additional settlement.

Review: We purchased mobile insurance with this company. Paid $200.00 up front for the insurance coverage. The phone was damaged in January of 2014 so we filed a claim with Global Warranty Group. We received a call from them in January saying that they no longer had the Iphone5 to send as replacement so they offered a check in the amount of $550.00. We accepted that and mailed the broken phone plus $180.00 for the insurance to them. We are now approaching 6 months since the claim was filed. I have called them probably 20 times to find out what the problem is and I just get the same old thing "check should be mailed out soon".

This is unacceptable in my opinion. I have also called [redacted] and they have stopped using this company because of similar problems.

Hope you can help me, I don't know where else to turn.

Review: Hi, I have filed a claim with this company in mid December to receive a phone to replace my lost phone. On dec ** I paid the deductible amount of $90. I have called this scam of a business every two days to receive updates on my claim. In the middle of January I received a call informing me no phones are in stock so they will send a $700 cheque instead and it should also arrive at the beginning of February. After many calls wasted and receiving no update and no change in my claim, I am completely fed up and sending this complaint.Desired Settlement: I want my cheque of $700 sent as well as my deductible amount of $90 for the incompetence of the global warranty group. Review: In July 2013, I signed up for warranty service for two [redacted] iPhones. My credit card was debited $10.99 per month for each line and is still being debited. In July, 2014, one of the phones was stolen. It was then I began trying to contact them for TWO MONTHS and have been unable to reach them. They no longer have a Website. When you call, you only get "All circuits are busy." No matter what time of day or night, you get this message. I have been unable to file a claim. After reading the thousands of complaints about this company, I have been trying to get my credit card company to stop paying them. I have disputed the charges, and they were refunded for one month.

As of now, I have NO WAY of getting this service cancelled because I cannot contact them via Website or phone.Desired Settlement: I am willing to forego the $700 for the stolen phone! I want my money refunded back to the service date of 07/2013, since no coverage was afforded under this warranty contract, i.e., I am unable to file a claim as the company simply cannot be reached. Review: On 12/**/2013 I filed a claim for a damaged phone asking for a replacement. On 12/**/2013, GWG called me saying they could not replace the Samsung Galaxy 4S, 32 GB phone that I had insured with them because they could not find another one. They asked if I would except $650.00 in return. I said yes... I mailed back the defective phone and paid a $135 deductible for this claim. GWG received the defective phone on 12/**/2103. Since then I have called GWG at least 4 times inquiring as to when I would receive the check.... Each time the claims reps tell me it's an accounting issue and that they will send an email to accounting dept for them to call or email me within 48 hours... One rep actually told me that Accounting is running behind on claims.... Every time I call (getting the same answer, I ask to talk with someone else who has authority to help me).. On Jan. **, 2014, I talked to an Advanced Care Agent, [redacted] ID [redacted] who told me the same thing.. he would send email to have someone contact me within 48 hours. In the mean time, I contacted The Wireless Zone in [redacted] who sold me GWG insurance asking them for their help since they sold me the insurance.... I was told initially, that they are 3rd party contractors and no longer sell GWG insurance... I called again and then was told their [redacted] would call me... that was 3 weeks ago and still waiting for that call.

On Feb **, 2014 I called Corp GWG to have number bounced back to same claims number... [redacted] in Advanced Care dept passed me to [redacted] in Escalation dept....same old thing... I demanded to talk with some one that could help me.... I was told "things are done electronically and she would pass my concerns on" I continued to demand that I could talk to someone who had authority to resolve this.. and asked to talk with her [redacted] then said she will send email to her boss, [redacted] to call me.... still no call.....I asked to talk with Corporate and told no one at Corporate answers the phone or talks to customers.

It's now 6 weeks from the time I filed claim... they offered no phone.... haven't sent money in replacement as promised, I paid my deductible, everyone gives me the run around. I want to close this account (still being billed monthly fee)... Can't close account till this is resolved. I am totally frustrated. A reputable business ( I see Revdex.com gives GWG an A+ rating) can't operate like this with failure to honor promise, failure to help customer, failure to honor their contract!Desired Settlement: To receive the $650.00 promised me on 12/**/2013. Review: I purchased an iPhone 5 from Verizon Wireless ([redacted]; Tel. #: ###-###-####) in April 2013. At the time of purchase, I also opted to buy the 2-year insurance policy offered through the Wireless Protection Program as administered by Global Warranty Group. In late January 2014, my phone was damaged, and under the terms of the policy, I requested a replacement phone that the company agreed to overnight to my address. Unfortunately, they could not locate a replacement phone as the iPhone 5 was already discontinued. They instead offered to reimburse me $550 by check as long as I sent my damaged phone. I complied and sent my phone by UPS after only two weeks (and well within the 30 days allowed); so I could attempt to retrieve data from the phone first.

It has now been over 4 months, and I still have not received reimbursement. In the meantime, I have had to buy my own replacement phone and a new insurance policy to protect it. They've told me the insurance policy I purchased through them would not extend to my new phone, despite the 2-year agreement because it is now a different phone model (even though it is still an iPhone, and even though it is their fault I could not activate the same model to begin with, as they could not provide me with a replacement). I have contacted the company numerous times over the past four months (speaking with [redacted], and others - no one will give their last names or employee identification numbers) to find out the status of my claim, to find out when a check would be issued, and to find out when I could hope to receive it. In these conversations, they have refused to provide me with adequate information about my reimbursement timeline and the status of my claim, refused to let me speak to supervisors, refused to connect me to anyone in accounting who could actually offer information about the check-issuing process, and refused to give me a concrete date my claim would be paid. The only information they have provided is: the claim was supposedly still being processed into March; and by April, the accounting department had approved issuing a check which was supposed to be issued and mailed by the end of April.

May [redacted], I spoke with them again to find out why I still had not received my check, and they could not even tell me if a check had actually been issued - just that it should have been. I told them they had two weeks to have a check delivered to me or I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com. Despite giving them three weeks, I still have no reimbursement. I phoned them again today, and yet again, they refused to give further information beyond, "Accounting said a check was supposed to be issued by the end of April." Because they claim the accounting department is located elsewhere, they claimed, again, they could not connect me with anyone in accounting or provide a number at which I could contact them directly. I am irate at this point. It has been more than four months. They have my old phone. They have the money I spent on an insurance policy that apparently doesn't actually ensure any of the results you will need in the event you have to file a claim. And every time I speak with their customer service only to be rebuffed and unsatisfied, they have a little more of my sanity. Please help me recover what I am owed under the terms of my policy.Desired Settlement: I still want the company to issue the $550 they said they would issue back in January. I was expecting a phone the next day; I wasn't expecting to have to buy a new, more expensive phone out-of-pocket and still not be reimbursed four months later.

I also want them to reimburse the cost of the insurance policy they have not honored for the entire two years agreed upon. The policy cost $195.96 ($179.99 + $15.97 NYS tax). I was only able to use the policy from the purchase date 4/**/13 thru the last week in January 2014. That leaves 15 months out of 24 months they are not honoring their coverage. 195.96*15/24 = $122.48

Total reimbursement I expect is $672.48.

In a perfect world, I'd also request that they put a disclaimer on their advertising stating that if they can't locate a replacement phone for you, you will have to jump through hoops for four months, only to be jerked around and led on, without ever receiving any compensation on your claim until HOPEFULLY the Revdex.com can help you. I'll settle for a check, though, and the hard-learned lesson to never buy a "protection" policy from the Wireless Protection Program of Global Warranty Group again.

Review: when I bought my cell phone through bell canada last year (2013) I purchased an additional year warranty with this company for $100. on may ** 2014 I contacted the company to make a claim regarding a broken cell phone they told me that I could put a hold on my credit card for $381 that would be refunded after they recieved my cell in the mail and a deductable of $95 I was told that I would get my new phone in 24-48 hrs. after 2 days went by I called them and they told me my phone was out of stock and would I except a cheuqe for $580 instsead I said yes. it is now july * 2014 and I still have not received any money from them I have called them every week and first was told it was on its way and all calls since I have been told its "processing"

I have also been told that my claim was sent to "esculation" and that I would recieve a call in 1-2 bussiness days the last time being on june ** no one has since called me and it is now july * 2014 I have also had to go out of pocket to purchase a new phone as my old one is not reliableDesired Settlement: at this point I want my $580 cheque and I would also like the $381 taken off my credit card it would also be nice if they gave me the $95 deductable back since I have been dealing with this since may ** 2014

Review: VERY SLOW TO GET A CLAIM, December 2012 I bought a Samsung note 2 cell phone from rogers cellular in [redacted] Canada, signed up for a 3 year contract and paid a" extra" $119.00 for a two year total replacement if I broke my phone, global warranty group was the company, on January [redacted] was the day I phoned GWG and started a claim for replacement, I misunderstood a" hold" of $385.00 was to be put on my credit card till they received my broken phone in there [redacted] office,{ NOT taken $385 off my card.] and also a $95.00 deductible to start claim, on this day they took $385 off my card, and on the [redacted] of febuary they took $95.00, they said they cant replace my phone cause its discontinued, so they are SUPOSTO be sending me a cheque for $630.00 for a replacement, WHERE IS IT??? I've phoned ###-###-#### the [redacted] claim office????????? to see if the cheque has been prossesed and mailed correctly to my address or not??? first they said they had wrong address, I corrected them, or if it was evan prosesed??? the call center knows no dates, cant confirm anything and has so called left notes on there computer for the accounting office in new York state, to return my hundred calls or emails I left to find out wheres my cheque??????????? I cant even get a date or confirm this cheque has been sent and when I will get it , all I get is sorry sir we left notes and someone should call you, NOTHING???? how long and how much time and money does a PAID customer have to waist to get SERVICE??????? Review: This claim is for cell phone insurance. I sent in a defective cell phone, was advised I had coverage. When they received the phone, they contacted me to advise that they did not have a comparable phone to send me and would have to send a check for $400.00 to replace the phone. I authorized them to send a check on February **, 2014. I was advised on February **,2014 that the process was complete and the accounting office would be issuing me a check. To date (7/*/14), I have called and emailed Global Warranty Group over 12 times and I continue to be told that accounting has not issued the check.Desired Settlement: I want my $400.00 check. Review: I purchased their extended warranty through their website , on 4/**/2014 I file a request for a new phone due the camera of the phone was broken , they told me they couldn't replaced because it was a HTC One Developer Edition instead they would send me a check for 600$. , I agree and they charged me the 75$ dollar deductible and told me that once they received my phone it could take a couple of weeks , this was back in 4/**/2014 since then I have call , email their Customer [redacted] with no responseDesired Settlement: I would like them to fulfill their part and send 600$ check as promised with a tracking number , I waited over 3 months for that check already.

Review: I purchased extended warranty with the Global Warranty Group back in December of 2012 when I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3. In October 2013, my phone had some hardware issues and I filed a claim with GWG and I was told that I had to pay a deductible of 95 dollars and to send my phone in and I would receive a replacement one within a few weeks. Next thing I know, I'm checking their track a claim website where you can check the progress of the delivery and it said my claim has been placed on hold and I had to contact them. Had I not seen that, I probably could have been waiting much longer since they did not contact me. They told me that the Galaxy S3 was being discontinued therefore they would send me a check to cover the cost of the phone (which I was not happy with since the check would not cover the cost of a brand new phone which is what I was told I would receive). After that was settled, I was told it would take a few weeks for the check to come in. It is now June **, 2014 and I have yet to receive my check. I have called many times and I have just been told that my call will be 'escalated'. I e-mailed customer service and I am being told the same thing. I only received one call back from this company just to tell me they had no information and every other time, it has just been avoidance and silence. I am tired of waiting for my check.Desired Settlement: I am being frustrated with trying to contact this contact for information or my check. I would like to receive my check by the beginning of July for the amount that was agreed upon.

Review: I bought insurance for my phone that I also bought from negrielectronics.com which is covered by Global Warranty Group.

On 4/**/2014 Global Warranty Group processed a claim for me and charged my credit card 75$ on 4/**/2014 as part of the deductible, as well as my device(Galaxy S3 Smartphone) that I had to ship to them. I was supposed to get a check in the mail for $400 because my phone was not in stock and I could not receive a replacement. Today is September [redacted] and it has been almost 5 months and I have not received any check. Global Warranty Group deducted the 75$ from my Credit card right away, stole my smartphone, and left me hanging for 5 months so far.

I have contacted them numerous times and I always get the response of "I have escalated your issue ... " etc.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the $400 settlement that Global Warranty Group promised for my broken phone.

Review: I purchased my samsung galaxy note 3 from a [redacted] authorized dealer, for insurance I had to pay a one time 178 dollar fee if I lose my phone crack it wet it whatever happens I call this global warranty and have it switched. I cannot get in contact with the company for more than a month.
