To Whom It May Concern: We have been in contact with [redacted] regarding this issueWe have offered her a pro rated credit based on either her mileage usage or tread depth whichever would benefit her bestIf she has further questions I can be reached at ###-###-####.Sincerely, Rich A [redacted] Town Fair Tire

We are aware of the unfortunate incident that occurred with [redacted] 's vehicleWe apologize for any inconvenience that she has experiencedHowever after an investigation of the incident by us and our insurance company we are unable to take responsibility for reasonsThe first being it is an industry standard for all dual rear axel vehicles to return for a torque check after serviceWe ask that our customers with these vehicles return at miles after service and again at milesThe rear wheels on these types of vehicles are notorious for coming looseThe store made Ms [redacted] of this procedure and she acknowledges that she did not return for the first re-torque and planned on coming in for the second mileage torque check though she was over the mileage for that check as well The second reason is we are not the last party to touch the vehicleMs [redacted] had stated that another shop did an inspection on the vehicle after we serviced it and she had assumed that they checked the torque for herAlso during to inspect the brakes on that type of vehicle, the rear wheels on at least one side would need to be removed So with that said though we do apologize for the issue Ms [redacted] experienced with her truck however we are unable to take responsibility for the issueSincerely, [redacted] Town Fair Tire Customer Service

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI tried to let you know that my father and I went into town fair tire with the original recipient and the clerk looked for the tire and it was found on the shelving unit and he said he would send the paperwork in for a refund he said that the other clerk never put it into the system that the tire was returned and apologizedso hopefully this is all resolved Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] With thanks to [redacted] for his response, I need more information on the offer before I can accept or reject itExactly which tires is the company offering to replace my tires with ( [redacted] **?) and is the company offering to refund the extra $I was charged to switch to all season tires (since no winter tire options were available)? If those are the replacement tires in questions they seem to be substantially cheaper than the tires currently on my car ( [redacted] *)Many thanks for your help, [redacted]

I had found some great tires for my car, [redacted] Town Fair Tire showed a good price on their web page, so I sent my wife to pick them upNow, this is the third time that Town Fair tried to charge a higher price in store than they list on their web page, so the pattern says that they are clearly doing a bait and switchThey charged my wife $a tire more than their web-page pricesStill, they claim to have an after-sale lowest-price guarantee, so this should be fixable, right? So, I went to the store to pick up my tires, and asked about the lowest-price guarantee, hoping to at least get them to honor their own pricesThe person helping me was giving me a hard time about this, saying things like my wife wanting the tires quickly and that they had to get them from another dealer, blah, blah, so the price was higher and despite what was printed on the receipt, he didn't think that they should give me their own lower priceNone of this was said to my wife when she simply went into the store and ordered tiresAfter minutes of arguing with this guy, I finally just wanted to get out of there, so I told him that I was giving up and that he had wonI was going to pay the price, not ask them to honor their lowest-price guarantee and simply write reviews on a few consumer web sitesSurprisingly, rather than accepting his win graciously, he now started a new argument that he was going to honor the price after allI didn't want to do that any more, I just wanted the tires on my car and the right to tell people about the bait and switchThe manager got involved, and all I wanted him to do was to tell his staff to just put the tires on the car and let me go awayI did NOT want to have to tell this tale blow by blow, but this guy chewed up another minutes of my time, again not wanting me to just get the tires on the car, but now that they knew I was going to review their policies, wanted to argue longer and longer, making me later and later getting back to workIt is clear that they do NOT listen to what their customers say or wantThe bigger issue is the bait and switch policyThis is the third time the store tried to charge a higher retail price than their web page, although in the other cases, I knew the web page price, had a printout of it, so they didn't complete the bait and switchMy wife didn't know the web price, so they gouged her the measly $for two tiresIf you do business with Town Fair, find a different store than West Hartford, and go to the web page first, look up the tires by brand and then scroll down to find your size, or the best prices do NOT show upThen, print out the price and do not fall for their bait and switch pricingAnd if anyone from Town Fair corporate read this, please do NOT contact me about this, as I do NOT want to have to spend any more timeAlthough I have vehicles with all tires bought from Town Fair, to the tune of about $including all fees and taxes, I will NOT be doing any more business with a bait and switch company that wants to turn customer contact in an argument

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The free flat repair is included in the price of the tires You say that I am charged $for the tire repair service, but that is not true since it is part of what I receive -- like the warranty -- with the tires When I buy tires at Firestone across the street, and have a nail in my tire, they repair the tire and do everything else necessary and charge me NOTHINGTown Fair charged me $ They can say that the charge is for something else, but when I went in for the free tire repair, the guy behind the counter said that will be $ When I protested that the repair was supposed to be free, he said the repair was free, but I had to pay to rebalance and new stem or whatever My options were not explained and I did not have a chance to say noI want my $mailed to me and I want to know that when I go back if I have another flat that I will not be charged for anythingSincerely,

To Whom It May Concern;
We apologize for the confusion on our alignment policy with *** ***
Roman"">There
are three different types of alignments the first being the alignment we give
for free with the purchase of tires which is a front wheel alignment or
centerline alignmentThis was the only alignment available at the time when we
started doing alignments over years ago we offered it for free then and
still do todayWith this alignment the computer draws an imaginary line down
the center of the vehicle and aligns the two front wheels according to thatAs
time went on the alignment machines got better and the way the vehicles were
made got better as well so we are able to take more measurements off of the
vehicle and make more adjustments to the vehicles the manufacturers came out
with the thrust angle alignmentThis alignment takes the measurements off of
the rear wheels and aligns the front wheel according to how the rear sits
Since this alignment involves more measurements and adjustments than the
centerline alignment we charge $for it.
Now there are vehicles that require a wheel alignmentWith this
alignment we align the rear wheels first and then align the front wheels
according to how the front wheels sitWe charge $for this alignment as
wellThe *** Fit takes a wheel alignment however *** *** could have done just the free front wheel alignment if he wishedThis should have been explained at the time of serviceAs a courtesy for the poor explanation we will gladly refund him for the alignmentWe send the refund to the address he providedSincerely,

Customer Service

Our family has always used Town Fair Tire to replace tires on our vehicles and we have been generally pleased with the experienceMy most recent experience on 12/30/did not meet that same standardOn Tuesday 12/20/at 11:a.mI received a text message to inform me that I was scheduled to be at Town Fair Tire in North Haven, CT at noon I had also ordered *** *** tires When I arrived at my appointment, I was notified that I did not have an appointment and the tires that I had ordered were out of stock I was budgeting the amount of $$$ that the tires were to cost $per tire The clerk at the desk offered another *** tire for $a tire, an amount for which I had not budgeted They were able to come down in price to$a tire which was still higher than what I had expected Much to the credit of Town Fair Tire in North Haven, they were able to take care of my needs as we were headed out of town the following morning Personally, I should have been given the same price as was originally promised when I ordered the tires I am questioning the competence and motivation of the staff who work at the Call Center regarding this experience

Sent: Friday, September 04, 1:PM To: drteam Subject: COMPLAINT ID #*** Ms*** *** did place her order by email on July 10, 2015. Due to our working summer hours, our office staff was off that Friday ( as well as all Fridays
in July) On July 14th, I emailed Ms*** to let her know we were in receipt of her order and to thank her for the order On July 15th, I emailed Ms*** to advise her that her order would ship from the vendor on July 21st, and that I would forward tracking information when it became available On Thursday, July 16th, Ms*** received our Distribution Kit, containing bags, and paperwork to facilitate her order distribution. She emailed me at 8:that evening to say that she received some "plastic bags & a pen", but not her order, as well as a voice mail on our phone. Office staff not in building on Friday, July 17th On Monday, July 20th, I both emailed and spoke to Ms*** on the phone, to assure her that the box she received was for her convenience to distribute her orders, and to again remind her that her snack order would be shipping the next day, on July 21st, and that once I received the tracking information, I would forward it to her. On July 22nd, I emailed Ms *** the *** tracking number and the ETA of Friday, July 24th, to which she responded, "Thank you." The order was delivered by *** on Friday, July 24th at 5:pm. On August 6th, I emailed Ms*** to verify that there were no issues with her order, but did not receive a reply This order was received, processed and delivered in a timely manner, with communication every step of the way. Ms*** never left a phone message or an email that was not responded to.
