We have a service contract with Hutchinson for many years now and I am very please with the company. During our recent service Jeff S. arrive in the time that was given to me, he was polite and knew his job well. Glad I had the service contract as two parts needed to be replaced ans the savings was a big plus. Everything was explain in a manner that I understood. Keep up the great job.
I would like to Thank [redacted] for his exceptional customer service and professionalism he provided us during his recent service call to our house. [redacted] was very knowledgeable, corrected our problem and educated us on preventing and future problems later on. We thank [redacted] and Hutchinson for a Job Well Done!!!
Ben P did an amazing and professional job of fixing our furnace on short notice. Hutchinson is the best in the business.
Michael * was amazing person to work with. He took to time to answer all my questions and show me everything I need to know about my new heating and cooling system. The whole experience with Hutchinson was amazing. I keep meeting people that enjoy their job and you can tell.
Positive review, people were good on the phone, called me back and gave me an even better time 8-9 am the next day. Adam M was my service pro and I was very happy with him. He was quick and gave me a lot of info, he cleaned up well and was very nice to talk to. He offered a service contract but was not pushy about it. I can't think of anything bad to say about the service. Thank you Hutchinson and a big thanks to Adam for your hard work! Best regards, John K
Review: On January 24, 2015 Hutchinson installed a hot water heater at my condo located at [redacted]. The price of $1031.00 included the hot water heater, flute upgrade and permit charge. On March 3, 2015 I called Hutchinson to find out where my permit was. I first spoke with [redacted] at Hutchinson who told me it takes 6 weeks to get a permit from the town. I then called the town and spoke to [redacted] who said an application was never applied for. I tried to call [redacted] again and was "disconnected" from her line twice. Calling back again and spoke to [redacted] who said she would find out what is going on with my permit and call me back. The next day I called to speak with [redacted] who I believe is an owner/manager and left a voice mail. No one ever called back. On March 14 I called and spoke with [redacted] and she told me they were very busy and would get the permit when they had a chance and someone would call me back.
No one from Hutchinson has called me back or got a permit to install the hot water heater. It is now over 2 months.Desired Settlement: Want the permit I paid for and for others to know how Hutchinson operates.

Review: Entire A/C ,Furnace, Insulation,& Hot water heater installed in Aug.2012. I call because I had an alert notice on Auto Thermostat. Called 3 times on 5/6 twice.... & cut off
twice....after 4 hr wait promising someone would call back. [redacted]. I called [redacted] P& H company who came within 1hr. The technician asked if I turned off any thing
on circut braker in garage,,,I said "no". So he turned ON the switches that were Off. When he went to the side of the house were the A/C is located the electric box was
smoking...so he quickly turned it of & took the cover off to show it was a wire coming from a opening with a sharp edge. The inside was chared as well as the siding on
house. Tech said this is out of my area,,,,,call an electrician. I immediately called the [redacted] &[redacted]. NJ Lic.# [redacted], NJ, 08081....#[redacted]. [redacted] responded in 1/2 hr. & found a faulty wire installation which caused the burning, & could have set
my house on fire. Tech took Photos, replaced the burned wires & made an access through to my closet (no acess there priviously) with a metal plate covering. A disaster
averted. MY 1st units lasted for 30 yrs & this mistake after 1&1/2 could have taken the house & maybe even my life. I feel they should reimburse the $292 Fee since it is
a brand new super duper unit. I'm pretty sure they will ignore you too....but I felt the need to contact you...as did my family. Sincerely, [redacted]

In reviewing the information provided we did receive phone calls for service of the unit installed in 2012. Although our phone system records indicate disconnected calls after approximately 3 minutes our internal process requires a faster response time. We apologize for any inconvenience the customer may have experienced and upon receipt of the invoice will agree to the customer's request for reimbursement of $292.

Regards,
I had a hot water heater installed today(2/19/2016). Terry was the installer. He was friendly and personable. He demonstrated excellence knowledge of the hot water heater and was forthcoming in offering complete understanding of what I was purchasing and why it was appropriate for my needs. His installation was extremely efficient. He was cautious about making a "mess" in my home. The work area was cleaned up. He willingly explained all the parts of the heater and how it operated.
I feel very confident that I made the right choice in purchasing my hot water heater from Hutchinson Plumbing and Heating.
Review: For over a 10 day period now (On days 2/26, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6, and 3/9) I've been without consistent heat from my gas furnace installed by Hutchinson about 18 months ago. I've had multiple days where the units shuts off and one stretch of over 24 hours with temperatures below freezing for that entire period. I've had to inconvenience myself multiple days to accommodate their service techs into my home as well as make arrangements for temporary heating due to this system's inconsistencies.
Each time a tech comes out a problem is diagnosed and the unit will work again, unfortunately this is short lived and for whatever reason the unit stops working and another service call is required.
Actively managing this whole situation has come at the expense of my personal and professional time (I'm self employed).Desired Settlement: At this point I've made arrangements to recoup monetary damages in small claims court for the loss of time due to the issues described above, but in addition to that I'm demanding that the unit (which is under warranty) be removed and replaced with one that does not have the chronic issues which seem to be plaguing the one currently in my home. Another "repair" will not suffice, I need peace of mind that I will not be without heat when I need it most.

Response:
Following a system installation date on or around September 2012 the heating system required service in February 2014. Each request for service was performed per the service agreement and warranty specifications. Although one request for service was non-mechanical in nature and the issue was remedied by replacing a wiring harness a separate issue arose that involved a pressure sensor. In working with the manufacturer to resolve the remaining issue it was determined a new circuit board was needed and as such Hutchinson arranged with Mr. [redacted] to have the new circuit board installed on March 14, 2014. Mr. [redacted] initial demand to receive $2,000 for consequential damages directly related to alleged loss time and other reasons was denied by the company as well as his pending request to remove the system. Hutchinson continues to perform under the terms of the sales agreement and values Mr. [redacted] as a customer. Hutchinson will continue to work with Mr. [redacted] to ensure the system performs at the required level and/or evaluate other options.
Review: In March of 2013 my wife and I contracted Hutchinson Plumbing Heating Cooling to Install a new HVAC and hot water heater system in our home . On the day the job started we began to have problems. The guys that were installing the spray in foam spilled nails in my driveway when the outside unit came to my home it was damaged and took 2 to 3 weeks to deliver another one and the replacement unit was also damaged. Another unit had to be ordered and the took an additional two to three weeks and we are now up to 6-weeks on a job that was going to take 3-days max . The day they installed the outside compressor air conditioning unit it worked for about a week . Then they had to come out and replace the thermostat it had a problem communicating with the computer boards on the heating and air-conditioning unit . They also had to come and replace the computer boards and added some type of insulated wire to go from the units to communicate properly . This worked for about month and once again we experienced problems. As of today we are up to 8 months and the job remains incomplete. I am disgusted and annoyed. At this point I want it replaced with another unit.Desired Settlement: My wife and I have both lost days to be here while work was being done. I would like them to remove this lemon of a unit and replace it with another, (functioning unit)
[redacted] was my service specialist. I was very impressed with him. As part of the service call to fix a slow leak I had by my water meter, he inspectedall the plumbing in my home. He had to order a special part, which was delivered to him and installed. His work was professional and he left the site cleaner than he found it.
The technician was on time. he was personable and informative about the job. He left the job site as clean as it was before he arrived.
Very polite knowledgeable young man. He listened to the things I had concerns about.
He then went thought his service inspection. He found what I though was a problem and corrected the fault.
Joe C [redacted] was extremely courteous, and knowledgeable. He explained everything that he did to me and answered all my questions. He was friendly and respectful. I believe that he is an asset to the company.
Review: As part of our contractual spring check up on our heating -cooling unit back in april of this year, we paid an additional amount out of pocket for an [redacted] to be added to the drip line by hutchinson to keep the line clear of buildup during the summer air conditioning season. The line backed up in september of this year causing damage to bathroom floor and bedroom closet floor. We called hutchinson to fix the problem. The tech who came said there was "no way" the line should be as clogged as bad as he found it in such a short period of time. He didn't even charge us for the call because he said "how can I charge you, this is totally hutchinson's fault". He even took a photo of the damage and sent it to his supervisor whose name is [redacted] I called [redacted] a couple days after the incident to see if hutchinson was going to pay for the damage. I told him the story, he talked to the tech in question(Joe) who denied saying anything of the sort. [redacted] told me hutchison is not responisible for the damage but I disagree. We paid the extra money for the [redacted] treatment which hutchinson claims is a preventative. It didn't "prevent" as advertised and caused damage to our home. I feel they are responsible and should pay for the damage.Desired Settlement: For hutchison to repair/pay for damage done to our home

I have reviewed the complaint and a written correspondence
from the customer on the above problem. I would like to request a site visit to
evaluate the HVAC system and condensate installation. My goal is to fully
understand the situation and make the proper decision on a resolution to the
situation.

Review: We bought a top of the line [redacted] Heating And Cooling System in 2005 with a 10 year warranty. It was installed improperly, leaked and Hutchinson extended the warranty by another year. We are now in the 10th year after placement of the system and have had no less then 2-3 service calls per year where we have been without heat or air conditioning. They continue to replace parts, thermostats, wrap the duct work yet once again I am with out airconditioning with the latest call being 2 weeks ago without air. Hutchinson's claims 24/7 service -yet when we call in the evening they "dispatch the call to ther service technician"- who then never calls back. We are then told the next day that they can not tell us what time they will be out- take another day off of work (2-3 times annualy) for them to come out and fixt the issue. I contend that this is a lemon unit and would either like it replaced or the warranty extended for another 10 years at Hutchinson's expense. They have not only needed to repair the units 25 TIMES since installation, they are not honoring their service requirements on the contract.Desired Settlement: I would like for the entire heating and cooling unit to be replaced with a new one. If not possible, I would like an extension of the Warranty for 10 years by Hutchinson.

I am rejecting this response because: the resolution that was offered was incomplete. They are offering 1 new coil. Since the coil has previously been replaced 3 times, the fan twice, the capacitor board 3 times and the thermostat 3 times, we have asked to have extended warranty on the system. This request was put in over a week ago and Hutchinsons employee and owner, Mark P and Mike S remain unresponsive to email and phone calls.Additionally, they have not started work to replace the faulty coil like they promised after surveying the situation. This business claims 100% customer satisfaction yet is satisfied with customers being without heat or air 2-3 times a year after a brand new system is purchased from Hutchinson. When they finally propose a resolution and respond to this complaint, they do not follow through our communicate.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that their response to the Revdex.com complaint was incomplete. We have recieved an email from Mike S stating that in addition to the replacement parts for the airconditioner, Hutchinson is providing an additional 10 year warranty on labor in addition to parts. Absent of replacing the faulty system, the 10 year parts and labor warranty as well as the new equipment satisfies the complaint.
Regards,
Would recommend Hutchinson. They came out within an hour when I called. Kevin was very polite and even had on little booties when coming in my house.
Furnace quit working during the night. Cold in the house waking up. Called right away and got service in less than three hours! Fantastic. Technician identified cause almost immediately, but checked whole system and identified suggestions for improvement of filtration, humidifying and heating. Explained everything thoroughly. We are purchasing a new humidifier and wet switch. Highly recommend this technician.
Called for a water leak in my main water line - a Live person answered the phone :) They had someone available - John C. showed up within 2 hours, fixed the problem and charged a reasonable fee. Good Job! Thank you
Reliable and on-time.
