The customer’s account was past due as a result of multiple payments that were...

taken back from her bank as “Customer Advises Not Authorized” and “Authorization Revoked by Customer.”  They were not returned for having non-sufficient funds.  The payments returned were received on 8/16/2015, 9/16/2015, 10/15/2015, 11/16/2015 and 12/16/2015.
As such, the payment history on the account is accurate as were the fees accrued.
The customer has since provided replacement payments and her account is current as of the date of this response.

Hyundai Motor Finance (HMF) appreciates the customer’s response and the opportunity to again review their concern. Per our initial response, we have reviewed the credit reporting for the account and confirmed that it accurately reflects the customer’s payment history. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we are required to report accurate information. On 10/05/2017, we received payment from the customer that satisfied their lease. The lease is now paid with no balance remaining. FWS/JM&A Group is now who Hyundai dealership is using.  Planet Hyundai was purchased by a different owner.  It is no longer Planet Hyundai.  My contract number was [redacted]   with VIN #[redacted]  The cancellation was processed February 23,2015 per Don...

from selling dealer due to a trade.  Planet Hyundai stopped selling Fidelity Warranty coverage on May 1, 2013.   Fidelity Warranty told me that the sister dealership, Centennial Hyundai, received notice to  credit me  my refund on February 23rd.  I have no luck talking to anyone overthere.  They told me weeks ago that they sent it Hyundai Motor Finance.  Now the Fiance company is delaying issuing a check.  I would like to see them dinged for this action.

We can confirm a Massachusetts abatement request was filed for the customer.  Please allow six to eight weeks for the abatement request to be reviewed by the state . If the state determines a refund is to be issued,  that refund will be mailed to the customer at the address on file once it is received by Hyundai Motor Finance.

Per our previous response, we have contacted the customer’s [redacted] insurance company, who has confirmed that they have received all requested documents from HMF. Additionally, per the customer’s contract they are responsible for the account until the balance is paid in full. repossession, the customer was notified of the delinquency via monthly statements and separate letters. 
The customer has applied to reinstate their loan and HMF is in the process of reviewing the request.  However, even if reinstated, we would not be able to restructure the loan to result in a lower payment as refinancing is not a product we offer.

refund of one of the payments in question.   A refund check was issued to the customer on 8/12/2016.
The customer has since contacted us on 8/18/2016 and requested that the check be voided and the funds be applied back to the account. Per the customer’s request we have reapplied the funds with the original effective date of 7/18/2016.
As the refund was issued within the timeframe originally quoted, we will not be able to compensate the customer per his request.

HMF is not in receipt of any paperwork sent by the customer prior to the conversation held on April 28, 2016, as indicated in the complaint, nor was there any contact from the customer in 2016 prior to this conversation.
The payment in question has been refunded to the customer and should arrive shortly.
At this time, we still have yet to receive back the Termination Packet as described in our original response and will need this paperwork to complete the termination of her lease under the provisions of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act.
