I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have not yet received the package but did receive an email saying the curtain rod I ordered was being sent to me. There was no mention of a gift card. If in fact a gift card is sent, I do appreciate the gesture but IKEA will really have to get their customer service act together before I'll feel comfortable purchasing from them again.
