I should have not been charged for storage. Imperial moving services was to move my belongings in a consolidated move to Cleveland for $1,200.  After moving my belongings into the storage, they refused to move my belongings in a consolidated move. Instead they held my belongings hostage and demanded that I pay 2,000 extra for an "exclusive" move. I refused and had to hire new, dependable movers for an expensive amount. Not only should my storage be free, I should be refunded the $390 for them failing to follow through with the contract/agreement as well as the inconvenience. Many of my belongings were damaged when they threw my belongings in a tiny storage in [redacted]. I had to go to the storage unit, in an unsafe area, by myself to retrieve my items. This company is refusing to own up to their fraudulent behavior. Prior complaints on this website as well as [redacted] address the same issues. I want a refund of the $390.

Hi Dispute Resolutions,
we were more then willing to do this job on the same date, and even offered her a discount of $1000.00. But the customer was adamant of getting only a specific mover for her moving crew.
We have numerous emails of correspondence which indicate our commitment...

in trying to resolve this issue, and at this time we feel that she should contact our legal mediator at [redacted]. They will make try to make a settlement with the customer and will notify us of the outcome.Best Regards,

The response given by Imperial Moving Company contains several falsehoods and misrepresentations. Imperial has never emailed me (nor contacted me in any other manner)  to resolve this issue so it is untrue that they could have “numerous emails of correspondence which indicate our commitment in trying to resolve this issue.”  Second, Imperial never offered me a $1000 discount because of the cancellation. In order to secure the job in the first place, Imperial was eager to come down in price to be competitive with the other moving estimates we had received, all of which were thousands lower than Imperial. However, absolutely no discount (nor any other effort) was made when the move was postponed by the company within 24 hours of contracted move time. The company could not offer the same move date as it was only available to start in mid-afternoon and the entire house would not have been able to be moved before dark. The specific mover referred was guaranteed and put into the moving contract and was a condition upon which the job was secured by Imperial.  Lastly, I just called the number listed in Imperial’s response to my Revdex.com complaint and the company at that phone number is not a legal mediator; it is a third party administrative company contracted by Imperial.
Satisfaction to this claim will be made when Imperial Moving Company pays me the $1250 differential price that I had to be pay to a new moving company to secure a moving crew within 24 hours as a result of Imperial Moving's last minute time-slot cancellation and refusal to communicate immediately upon Imperial’s Moving company's cancellation and thereafter to resolve issue.

covered by the basic moving insurance of $0.60 per pound of each item. According to this, you are entitled to a refund of $150. However, due to any inconveniences cause by Imperial, we would like to offer you a refund of $300. This is our highest in house refund we will be able to offer you. Imperial Moving and Storage has offered me $256.50 to settle, which is completely unacceptable. The value of the stolen items alone is over $802. By offering me $256.50, this company is basically telling me that they don't care about their customers. I paid them and trusted that they would uphold their end of the contract and keep my expensive items safe under their watch. Instead, their employees committed a crime by opened my boxes and stealing my things and they don't want to compensate me for the money I rightfully deserve. I'm actually offended that they are trying to settle for so little.
My settlement still stands at $2,502 for the items stolen under their supervision, and for the damaged items caused by their employees negligence. I would also like my money back for the full value of the move which is included in the settlement amount.

The business has held onto my table for weeks and I have not been afforded the opportunity to see it...

and confirm it is indeed repaired.  The business emailed me their release form which asks me to release them for all claims in exchange for the repair.  I cannot sign a release and release the business from all claims without seeing the table first.  I offered to sign the release simultaneously upon delivery of the table.  I cannot sign it before.  What if I sign the release and I get the table back and it isn't fixed?  Or worse, I never get the table back after I email in the release?  This request is perfectly reasonable.
