Review: On 6/13/14 I entered into an executed contract with Deckorators to replace my existing deck with a new [redacted] deck for a total of $13,550. Upon execution of the contract I provided Deckorators with a deposit of $6395 which they processed immediately. My HOA is rather strict and took two months to approve the deck replacement. This approval was granted on 9/9/14 at which point I forwarded the approval to Deckorators and asked when we would be able to begin the work. I was told they were running behind and needed to look at the schedule and would contact me with a new start date. 3 weeks later, on 9/30/14, after hearing nothing from them I contacted them again asking when I would be scheduled. Again, I was told the same thing, they were running behind, very busy, and Jon, the owner, would look into things and work me into the schedule. One month later on 11/4/14, after no follow-up from them, I contacted them again. I was told the same thing, "Jon is working as fast as he can to get the company caught up". I did tell them that I didn't need the deck done right away, but did want to know of some possible dates that the construction would start. I don't think that request was unreasonable. I never heard anything from anyone. On 11/28/14 I received an email from [redacted] that included a Welcome Kit for the Warranty on my deck which was interesting because I still don't have a [redacted] deck, however, it is apparent that Deckorators has purchased supplies with my money and my name and has yet to deliver the product to me or contact me with a date that they intend to install the deck. On 12/15/14 I contacted them once again stating it had been 1.5 months since our last communication with no contact from them. I included the email I received from [redacted]. I informed them that I would give them 3 days to get back to me with possible dates for installation of the deck or I would move forward with other options, such as this. Again, I have never heard back from them.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to give me possible dates for the completion of this deck. I would also like some sort of discount given that they have had $6395 of my money for 6 months now that I could have been earning interest on or appreciation in my investment portfolio.

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: We have been given 3 different time frames that Deckorators would complete our project

The first was by the end if November, then the 1st week of December and finally by Christmas. It is now the 26th of December and we have not heard anything from the company in regards to scheduling the work we have already paid 50% for. I want the work done NOW or I want my deposit back so we can hire a company capable of completing the project.

There has been no communication with the company that was not initiated by me and there has been a complete failure to return phone calls when they say that are going to.Desired Settlement: We want Deckorators to complete the work within 2 business days or full refunderstanding of our deposit.

Business

Response:

We are currently in communication with the customer and have scheduled their job start. Erica P[redacted]Deckorators Design & Build

We had our deck rebuilt 2 years ago. Our contract stated that they would pull the necessary permits. Because our deck was being expanded, a permit for the work was required. I just now looked through the county's issued permits for the time frame surrounding our deck project and discovered that they did not pull a permit. Of course, it's too late now to do anything about it.

Review: We entered into a contract with Deckorators and owner/representative Jon P[redacted] for a screened-in porch, deck, and fireplace in January 2015. Work was to be completed in April; however, work did not commence until May. Once the project started, a crew worked on and off for less than two weeks. Since May 14 our project has been abandoned. All aspects of the project are incomplete and the fireplace has yet to be started aside from the digging of the footers. We have paid 90% or the total cost and by estimates the project is at best 50% complete.

Since the project was abandoned, owner Jon P[redacted] has been unresponsive to emails and phone calls. In addition to all of the incomplete work, we have lumber rotting in the middle of our street; we have a five foot wide, three foot-deep hole in our back yard, which poses a danger to our three small children and our guests; and we have open holes in our interior walls and ceiling for the unfinished electrical work.Desired Settlement: I would love to see the project completed as soon as possible, but given the reputation of Deckorators and Jon P[redacted] on both the Revdex.com and [redacted], I am expecting more promises to finish the project without any action ever being taken. We would also be satisfied with a refund to cover the cost of remaining work, including cleanup and replacement of now weather-damaged materials. We estimate that half of the work remains to be complete.

Review: A contract on a new deck construction was signed on 6/27/2014. The agreed upon start date was set to be 7/27/1014. The builder agreed to complete the project no later than 8/27/2014 - it was set so far away to cover the worst possible scenario such as rain, heat etc.

The down payment check was immediately cashed - within a couple of days of the contract signing date.

Now, on 8/25/2014 - at two days remaining before the completion date - the builder not only did not start any building activity, but is telling me that it won't even start for at lest two weeks from now.

I find it absolutely unacceptable. I could have had a deck by now had I chosen a different builder. I did chose Deckorators based on the salesperson's assurances. Now I am out of money, and no deck within a reasonable time.Desired Settlement: The builder should either start the project immediately, or refund the money in full.

Review: Contracted with company for deck replacement, subsequently cancelled contract prior to start of construction. Contract states "if customer cancels this contract after the 36 hour cancellation period ends and before construction begins Deckorators shall refund the deposit less 30% of the total contract price."

Cancelled contract over a month ago have yet to receive refund. Company has indicated verbally that refund is in process but all estimated dates have passed with no refund received. Company refuses to answer email, does not return calls only available when you happen to catch an employee at desk and then as stated above status updates given are inaccurate.

Emails to three company employees explicitly requesting date and amount of refund have gone without any response.Desired Settlement: Refund per the terms of the contract.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern, We have resolved complaint with customer.

Review: The contract was signed with Jon P[redacted], owner of Deckorators Design & Build, LLC, Aug 11, and it is now Nov 19. Jon received personal checks from us, in advance, equalling more than $30,000. There are numerous complaints to sight, which I will try to include here. Most notably, we overpaid for inferior decking, as well as windows and doors that we thought would be thermal. Many things have gone wrong, and we await Deckorators to correct the issues. The project cost more than $30,000, and it does not look like a thoroughly professional job.

Issues needing resolution are as follows.

Monday, 11/10/14 ~ Door and window installation (not accurately communicated by business owner):

We received [redacted] products, when the contract specifies "[redacted] with Low E Argon gas". The doors and windows feel cold to the touch, when it is cold outside. We are concerned that they are not thermal glass. Cold air streams under the front door, which indicates that it may not be fitted properly. The [redacted] doors and windows installed are inferior to our originals, and inferior to the [redacted] with Low E Argon gas specified in the contract!

Replace baby blue front door with black, originally ordered by customer (replacement ordered by installer for same brand, not specified in contract; due 11/26).

Fix scrapes and gashes in kitchen window frame (damaged by window installers).

Fix caulking used after door installations; looks messy, especially in front.

Repair stone stoop (damaged by door installers).

Top of sliding left, outside screen door is bent or defective.

The installers' English-speaking supervisor left early, so there was no proper walkthrough.

The customer had to call back workers; not all issues resolved.

Front paving:

Remove mortar splashed on outside front door trim. Repaint areas, if necessary.

Deck installation ($15,000):

The decking installed did not cover all horizontal areas, as specified in the contract. One shelf remains that they later said was moldy and they could not fix. The contract specifies otherwise.

The [redacted] decking lies a few inches below original deck line, revealing discolored vinyl siding. We were not consulted or informed about the change in height. Additionally, light, untreated pine was used for a step, stairs and skirting. Jon argued that he added the wood for free, as a courtesy. However, we discussed the step during the consultation. Existing wood on the deck was damaged by the workers, and not addressed at the time of the [redacted] installation. Jon P[redacted] sent painters who made matters worse by not following known procedures and using wrong or inferior products. The natural, lighter wood they were supposed to treat turned a bright yellow, and the touch ups to the darker wood do not match the original color, besides showing messy, dripping, blackish paint marks. They did not prep the wood first, to remove mold, dirt and surface stain. They need to clean, repair, and repaint/stain damaged and discolored wood with products the customer found @ [redacted]. This does not look at all like a $15,000 job!

Family room and kitchen painting:

We requested cancellation of this job, because Jon wanted to use the same painters who botched our deck. The $1800 quoted for this paint job was paid in advance, via check made out directly to Jon P[redacted], the owner, combined with front door paving. the amounts were not itemized on the contract, the total being $6,400. We need to obtain Change Order to cancel, if necessary, and receive credit.

The homeowners require repairs, replacements, and credits to resolve this complaint.

As noted above, we require the work to be done professionally, for the $33,400.

Balance owed business:

$2700, minus the $1800 paid for the canceled paint job, leaving a negligible balance due of $900, negotiable!Desired Settlement: The homeowners require repairs, replacements, and credits to resolve this complaint.

Review: We ordered a repair and new extension of our deck on February 28, 2014. At the time of the initial order we paid a deposit of $15,871.50. We thought it a bit high to pay that much, but we figured the decking material is high end ([redacted]) and we have a big deck so we'd pay what they asked so they could get permits and order the decking. The contract said they would start in March and end in June. We had some snows and wet weather, we had to have neighborhood Design Review approval and figured we were on their list to start. We decided we wanted to add to the job. Approval by the Design review was done on April 1st and on April 3rd, the building permit was issued. Still no work, no prep work or anything, but we are still not that concerned- wet spring, design review process etc. On April 21st we decided before they show up, we want to clarify what the job entailed and realized we wanted additional under deck product to keep the lower deck dry. So on April 21st we signed an additional contract that included the changes. The amount came to $13,244.00 and we issued a check for $5,960.00.

In mid summer we began to get concerned and so the owner came out to the house to meet me and smooth things over regarding the delay in getting started.

To date, we have no new deck. We have decided we do not want the new deck and wish to cancel the contract and get our $21,831.00 returned to us. We have emailed the main office and were told we have to contact the owners. We have called and get no response. Please help us.Desired Settlement: We wish to cancel the contract and have our deposits refunded to us in the amount of $21,831.00.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

My complaint remains unaddressed by Deckorators and we have lost

complete trust and confidence that Deckorators can provide the product stated in

the contract and request refund of our deposit.

Since May 2014 Deckorators has failed to communicate with us and provide us the

services contracted for, meanwhile retaining our deposit ($21,831.00).

In late September 2014 I made phone call to Jon P[redacted]

and Deckorators informing him that we

were going to cancel the project and requested the return of our deposit. Upon hearing no response we followed up with

a letter (registered mail) and it was returned.

It was at this point we logged our complaint with the RevDex.com 15 Oct 14 stating that we wanted return of our deposit

($21,831.00). Nothing was heard until 21

Nov 14 when a note to **. [redacted] (Revdex.com) was received from Erica P[redacted] stating

“ We are

currently working with the customer, [redacted] to resolve this issue. Thank you”. We had heard nothing from Deckorators since

late May 2014 until this time.

I quickly contacted Revdex.com and informed **.

[redacted] that I had heard nothing from Deckorators. I called Deckorators and requested to speak

to Erica P[redacted], Debbie informed me that she was unavailable and would pass on

the message. The first communication from Deckorators since May 2014 is Jon

P[redacted]’s e-mail (See Attached). I responded quickly and later followed up

leaving a phone message with Deckorators.

Review: We signed a contract with Deckorators on March 14th, 2015. He said he was three weeks out on work, took 45% down ($4,297) and said he could possibly even get this done by April 5th. And ever since then, he has been very hard to get a hold of. He has gone weeks without a response to my emails or phone calls. In fact, I haven't heard from him since April 29th. He has never given me a start date for the project and the contract completion date is tomorrow, May 14th, 2015. Since we have signed the contract, his HomeAdvisor account has been closed and a local news report came out explaining how he has done this same thing to others.Desired Settlement: We've waited two months for him to complete the project while he has had a large amount of our money and has been very unresponsive. We want a full refund immediately.

Regards,

Review: This is a formal complaint against Deckorators and Design (DD), LLC, [redacted], VA [redacted], Phone ###-###-####. Contract License # [redacted] Class B, for breach of contract and to receive a full refund of our initial deposit . The contract is now null and void and we are seeking the assistance of Revdex.com to recover our deposit of $9,401.00.

We have attempted to resolve this breach of contract with DD informally by telephone and e-mail correspondence with no success. We entered into a contract with DD on May 1, 2014 and paid a deposit of $9,401.00. The contract term had a start date of June 1, 2014 and completion date of July 1, 2014. To date, no work has been performed, status inquiries have been ignored, and our request for full refund of deposit, based on non-performance, have not been answered. (See Summary below)

We entered into this contract in good faith and DD has not met its contractual obligations. We no longer want to do business with a company that does not honor its commitments and has such a flagrant disregard for a binding contract. The only satisfactory resolution for us at this point is a full refund of our deposit.

SUMMARY OF ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE DISPUTE with Deckorators and Design, LLC.

May 1, 2014 - We entered into a contract with Deckorators to construct a Gazebo, Front Portico, and brick patio. A deposit of $9401.00 in check form was given to Jon P[redacted] at our home on this date. The check was cashed by Deckorators.

May 15, 2014 - Project Approval received from Homeowners Association, and copy of approval letter sent via e-mail to Debbie at Deckorators on May 19, 2014

June 1, 2014 - Estimated Start Date of Contract. No communication from Deckorators on or after start date until we e-mailed Deckorators for status on June 16, 2014.

June 19, 2014 - We called Deckorators when no to response received to June 16 e-mail. Spoke to Debbie who said Deckorators would get back to us with start date.

July 1, 2014 - Estimated Completion Date of Contract. No communication from Deckorators.

July 10, 2014 - We Called Deckorators. Spoke to Debbie and expressed our displeasure with lack of contract fulfillment. Debbie said she would have Jon call us.

July 11, 2014 - Jon P[redacted] called us and left voice message indicating rain, etc had delayed project and asked that we call him back to discuss.

July 11, 2014 - We returned call and got Jon's voicemail (whose mailbox was full). We then called Decorators' office and left voice message to give us a call. No response received to either message.

July 12, 2014 - We called Jon's cell phone again and his voice mailbox was full so could not leave message.

July 22, 2014 - We called Deckorators' Office and left voicemail requesting status report.

July 28, 2014 - Debbie from Deckorators called. Said we were next on schedule and we would be contacted within one week, maybe two, to go over process. This did not happen.

July 28 - September 8, 2014 - No communication from Deckorators.

September 8, 2014 - We called Jon's cell phone and got voicemail. Left message to nullify contract for non-compliance and requested a full refund of deposit ($9401.00) this week. Also called Deckorators' Office and left message with Debbie. She said she was not authorized to handle refunds and would give Jon the message. No Response from Deckorators.

September 12, 2014 - The following e-mail was sent to Jon@ and [email protected]. A text was also sent to Jon's cell phone informing him to see e-mail that was sent.

The following is the verbatim e-mail sent to Deckorators on September 12, 2014.

" This e-mail is a written follow-up to my phone calls on September 8, 2014, to Jon P[redacted] (left voicemail on cell phone), and conversation with Debbie, both of Deckorators and Design, LLC (DD). We informed Jon and Debbie that we consider our contract null and void due to non-compliance by DD and want to immediately receive a full refund of our deposit made on May 1, 2014. This action is based on DD's failure to perform contracted services in timeframe specified (Start date June 1, 2014 to Completion date of July 1, 2014), unresponsiveness to inquiries regarding status, and failure to keep commitment made in a phone call from Debbie on July 28, 2014 that we would be contacted within one to two weeks to start work on our project. To date, we have heard nothing, including no response to our calls on September 8, 2014.

This lack of timely project management and a substantive breach of contract are unacceptable to us and we want to receive a full refund of our deposit of $9,401 on or before September 16, 2014. DD can mail check or we can stop by and pick it up. Upon receipt of said refund, we will consider this matter closed. If not, be advised that we will seek remedy from all available complaint agencies to resolve this matter, including Revdex.com, VA Contractor Licensing Agency, Angie's List, media consumer groups, and/or civil litigation."

We have received no response as of September 18, 2014.

We appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

Thank you.Desired Settlement: Full refund of initial deposit of $9,401.00

I am rejecting this response because:

?Please be advised that the above-referenced complaint is not fully resolved to date. Deckorator's offered to make a full refund in two payments. We received a 50% refund with a promise that the remaining 50% would be received by Tuesday, Sept. 30. To date, we have not received the balance of $4,700 and had no communication from Deckorators concerning non-payment until we called three times and finally spoke with Erica on the third call. She said payment would be received today, October 3, if checks cleared at her bank. This did not occur.

Review: I signed a contract to build two decks at two different residense with Mr. Jon P[redacted] - Owner; Deckorators Design & Build LLC on 9/10/2014. The contract stated the estimated start date to be 10/10/2014 and completion date to be 10/24/2014. I paid a check to Mr. P[redacted] of $8,550 which represented 45% of the total contract amount of $19,000. The decks were to be built at two different residences (my daughter and son's homes; they are identical town homes). Mr. P[redacted] has never started the projects. We have followed up with him from September through December 2014. He never answers his phone, and rarely returns calls or texts. On November 21, 2014, he agreed to refund me $8,550 and cancel the contract. He said I would have to wait a week for him to get credits for the materials he purchased. Since that period of time, he has not asnwered calls or texts except once in early December. He said he would refund me soon. I threatened legal action to get my money if he did not comply. He has not responded or returned any calls since 12/3/2014. My daughter contacted [redacted] County Building and Development twice, and they never had any record of building permit applications for these residences. I want to be clear that Mr. P[redacted] was paid $8,550 on 9/10/2014, and he has not done one minute of work at either property. I want my money refunded to me so I can proceed with another contractor.Desired Settlement: I want my hard earned $8,550 refunded to me. This contractor has had my money for almost (4) months and never did one bit of work. I have a copy of the signed contract and I can get a copy of the cancelled check from [redacted] if necessary.

Business

Response:

After entering into a contract with Deckorators Design & Build, we went to [redacted] County to pull the permits. Due to the proposed placement of the deck over an existing garage the county asked for specified building plans. Our Draft Designer went and met with the daughter of [redacted], took measurements and we again submitted plans. [redacted] County then asked for the existing structural plans for the garage roof. We went back to [redacted] explaining this and asked if they could request the plans from the builder. At that point, [redacted] met with another contractor who had done similar work and told him to use an entirely different scope of material than we, Deckorators use. We, Deckorators explained to [redacted] we had never used those materials before and that if he wanted to go with the other contractor we would allow for cancellation. However, the deposit was spent on the specified materials from the contract, as well as, our Draft Designer, permit runner, permit applications and administrative fees. We explained we needed to first apply for refund on the cancelled materials and would refund his deposit upon on recoup of monies spent. We will refund the customer deducting only the nominal fees we cannot reclaim as soon as we have it in hand. Erica P[redacted], OwnerDeckortaors Design & Build

Review: We signed a contract for a 16' x 18' deck on 4/22/2014 with an initial deposit and having an estimated completion date of 7/1 to 7/15 2014. We provided notice and information that we have a septic system that requires county approval for construciton near tanks/pump stations/lines etc. We were told that they built many decks and knew how to obtain proper approval for our deck. We gave another deposit on 6/11/2014 after receiving approval from our HOA. Our old deck was removed by Deckorators on 8/19/2014 after repeated calls as to why our deck had not even been started. The [redacted] County Health Department denied approval to build the deck as contracted on 8/22/2014 due to the location of footers near the pump station and a line. We met with the County inspector again on Monday, 8/25/2014 and he told us where footers needed to be located to obtain approval. This resulted in our proposed deck being enlarged to be 23' x 18'. John P[redacted] of Deckorators repeatedly told us "they would take care of us" and they would "absorb the cost" to build the revised deck plan. A [redacted] County Building Permit was received on 9/4/2014 and a second deposit check was given to Deckorators (John P[redacted]). I also explained to John P[redacted] that to accomodate the increased size of the deck I had to cut down a large tree at my cost which was not insignificant. I wanted to make it clear that we both shared in the cost to build the deck plan that was approved. Work on our deck did not begin until 10/17/2014 and our deck remains unfinished today. A couple of delays were due to rain (2 days) but otherwise it was because workers did not show up or materials for construction were not delivered.Desired Settlement: We would like our deck to be completed as agreed ASAP! We started this process in April and have been repeatedly told by Deckorators that they would complete the job, but now I have a framed, surfaced deck with no railings. This process atarted over six months from original contract and over three weeks from the start of construction date. We want the deck completed as was promised to us.

Review: Jon P[redacted] and Deckorators has not provided a start date for the project that was originally forecasted to start 26 August 2014. As of 22 January 2015 they are now over 151 days overdue. No justification has been provided for a delay of this magnitude.

• Permits and plans have been approved for over 72 days – no delay was noted in the permit process by Deckorators

• It has been 46 days since notification was given by Jon P[redacted] and Deckorators that supplies were purchased and crews were coming available. No start date has been provided despite repeated requests. NOTE: Four letters have been sent requesting action since December. Letter #1 stated this project should finish by 30 January 2015 – they have yet to even provide a start date

• Frequently over 40 days between ANY communication

• No accounting for “weather days” or impacted tasks were provided

This contributes evidence that Deckorators has lost the ability to perform the work they accepted a deposit for on 27 July 2014.Desired Settlement: Best case is that they refund my full deposit as they seem unable to do the work. Second best is that they start immediately with firm milestones to completion (4 weeks or less) and provide a large discount for their late delivery.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: the response given by Deckorators is incomplete (lacks dates and discount percentage) and is misleading.

Review: We hired Deckorators to build our porch and patio. Although the work was done well, they have since then: 1. failed to fix several items still under warranty, 2. failed to reimburse us for the sprinkler damage that they caused and that the owner promised to pay ($50), 3. failed to follow [redacted] County code for the pre-installation electrical work for our hot tub (a pre-inspection is required for the bonding work, etc. before the patio pavers are laid - the **C inspectors told me he should have pulled this permit and called for the pre-inspection before laying the pavers), and 4. did not properly inform of us in advance of building modifications we'd need to make to our home per building code if the hot tub was placed where it was (i.e. the need to replace windows with safety glass windows). For months, the owner (Jon Parsons) completely ignored our warranty work requests (this had been going on since last August 2014). Finally this fall we contacted his main office, countless times. Still, they have offered only excuses for being too busy to come out, and the owner blamed the electrical code issues on a misunderstanding between us, which is not possible, since he committed to taking care of the permit process (he pulled only the building permit months after the patio was installed, but the building permit can't be passed without the electrical permit being passed, and the electrical permit required a pre-inspection of the bonding work before the patio pavers were laid, none of which we knew about at the time).Desired Settlement: 1. A $50 reimbursement as promised by the owner back in April 2014 for our sprinkler system repair.

2. Finish the warranty work requests, which includes replacing a [redacted] light bulb (tagged per his request with colored tape), fill in the sand between the pavers after settling, and repair the hanging siding on the porch (tagged per his request with colored tape).

3. Reimbursement for the electrical permit ($81.71) we had to pull

4. Learn and follow the **C code and inform his future customers of any risks involved in decisions made on construction/installations to their homes (i.e. if they put a hot tub here, they will need to replace windows there in order to pass the building code).

We will never get the countless hours back in our lives that we have spent dealing with these issues since last August. Future clients should be informed of their lack of knowledge and lack of following code before working with them, as well as how poor they are to handle warranty work.

Response:

Deckorators Design & Build will mail out a check for the requested $131.87 to close the issue and send someone to replace the light bulb in the next few weeks. As for the electrical, we never contracted to do any electrical or hot tub installation. We are not licensed to do so and never offered those services. Erica P[redacted]

Review: Problem: Deckorators' - owner Jon P[redacted], has not delivered the products and services as agreed to in the 29 April 2014 contract agreement, or has offered alternative dates for project start and completion.

Background: Deckorators Design & Build,LLC (Jon P[redacted] Owner, [redacted], VA, [redacted]) did work for me in late-2013 totaling over $30,000.00. Based on the work they did, (two [redacted] decks, retaining wall, and walkway) I trusted them and asked them to give me an estimate for a new project which they did totaling $16,000.00. This project was for a [redacted] deck railing on one deck, a planter wall, and to extend the stone walkway they completed last year. The contract agreement was signed on 29 April 2014. At the signing I provided the Deckorators salesperson with a personal check (45% of the total as a deposit), made out to Deckorators in the amount of $7,200.00. The check was cashed by Deckorators the next day, Wednesday 30 April 2014. I have not seen a Deckorators representative or sub-contractor since the check was cashed. I have made weekly, and often daily calls to Deckorators – owner Jon P[redacted]' mobile phone number (###-###-####) or his office (###-###-####). As of 20 July 2014, I have not received any information on project status or responses to my calls. The 29 April 2014 agreement estimated the project start date for some time in May 2014 with project completion estimated for some time in June 2014. Since mid-June I have contacted Jon P[redacted] with no response to my phone calls, my voice mails, my emails, or my text messages except for one. I finally received one reply from Jon P[redacted] after my last call to his office. It was a phone text message from Jon P[redacted]’ mobile phone to mine on 3 July 2014; assuming it was from Jon P[redacted]. In the text message there was an apology for the delay in getting the project started due to weather, due to needing to hire a new project manager, and due to things being “crazy.” The message also informed me that I would be placed on the 'schedule' that following Monday (after the 4th of July weekend). The text message added that the materials for my project (deck railing, planter wall, and walkway) were on hand and a crew had to be assigned to do the work. Of the multiple calls to both Jon P[redacted] and the Deckorators office, the office calls were less than satisfactory. Troubling, each time the individual taking the call told me she could not find my paper work adding, that she would have to get with Jon when he comes home because ‘they’ do not keep 'that' information on the computer..."he [Jon] keeps all the paper work with him."

Contract: Of interest, the authenticity and validity of the existing contract may be questionable. At the signing of the contract agreement, the Deckorators representative (Jason) directed my signature to the signature line at the bottom of the contract page, the Deckorators Design & Build, LLC signature line; I did not catch it at the time and because we had worked with Deckorators in 2013, it all seemed basic. Prior to giving me the document to sign, he [Jason] had already signed his name on the Customer Signature line directly above.Desired Settlement: Resolution: Refund of my deposit in full $7,200.00 or completion of work no later than 1 September 2014.
