Internet Local Listings Reviews (245)

This company is the worse I've ever dealt with in my life. I can't believe I was sold something that was a complete lie. They said I can see the website within A week and assist in wording since my business is not one that is capable of just having a generic website. Then three days after signing up and paying $100 for the first month, I call to see how I can view my website and they say "oh you can't view until 30-45 days after signing up and you can't change wording until we have already posted your website". WHAT?! Then why are you guys cold calling people and marketing something that isn't even true?! I asked to simply be canceled and to please have the cancellation fee waived (which is fifty percent of the amount due, for me it was a years worth at $100 per month so $550 would be my cancelation fee). They said "no sorry you signed a contract so you'll have to pay, we will process your cancelation and someone in billing will contact you in a few days". I asked if I can speak to someone in billing and she said I cannot. I would have to wait until they call me. I asked to speak to a manager or whoever is running the business and she said she's a supervisor and the manager doesn't take phone calls. This is just outrageous. They have absolutely no care for their customers and just want the money. They don't care if you are not satisfied or have been sold on a lie. All she could say is "I'm sorry you were misinformed but you signed the contract" yeah well I signed it because I was sold on a lie. This is not the way to run a business. I hope the Revdex.com will do something about this. If you are considering signing up with them, I highly recommend you do not even waste your time and money.

Review: I canceled services with them and they still charged me and sent my account to collections. They claim that the cancellation document sent to me was sent to me by "mistake" and that even though I requested it be sent to me thier "manager" (which would not talk to me) not sure she even exists. They said she said they sent it to me by mistake and that they reinstated my account WITHOUT consent from me or my signature!! The cancellation document had my signature on it. Don't you think that if they send it to me by mistake I would've called in asking why they sent me a cancellation document instead of me signing it and sending it back????? The lady on the phone was very rude her name is [redacted]... She told me even though I had a signed cancellation document dated for two months before that she was still charging me for the two months and that my account was gonna be sent to collections no matter what. I have a signed cancellation document that was sent to their company on May 9.they are saying that that is not proof enough to cancel my account and someone reinstated it without my consent or permission. they want me to pay for the last two months of services. They said they have already sent my account to collections I have called them a dozen times asking them to take it off my account but they refuse. I want my account balance to be zero and to never hear from them ever againDesired Settlement: I want them to put my account balance as zero. To not send my account to collections and never contact me again there after

Internet Local Listings would like to apologize for any inconvenience that this matter may have caused to Ms. [redacted]. Upon receiving information like this from clients, we are sure to thoroughly investigate every matter that is brought to our attention. In the case of the cancellation of Ms. [redacted]'s account and the conversation that was had with the Accounts Receivable representative that she spoke to, we would like to thoroughly apologize for the way in which this was handled. As the person that handles all Revdex.com issues directly, I would like to personally apologize for how the phone call was handled and humbly ask that you understand that we do not run our business along those lines, at all. The representative that you spoke with was extremely unprofessional and is no longer able to represent Internet Local Listings as such. Your account has been removed from our list that would be sent to collections and I have been informed that our Accounts Receivable Manager reached out to you and spoke with you on the phone to further resolve this matter.

Review: Internet Local Listings is in violation of our contract. There are several instances where contract requirements were not fulfilled. In addition, the initial sales representative presented themselves as a representative for Google. All this occurred while charging services on a credit card. We wish to receive a refund for services.Desired Settlement: $800 refund and to cancel services.

Response:

Internet Local Listings would like to start by apologizing for any inconvenience that this may have caused Ms. [redacted], who we assume is writing to represent Mr. [redacted], the account holder. Upon receiving this letter, we have thoroughly looked into the account to see what issues there may have been as far as the client not understanding the work that had been provided. Attached is the signed contract that Internet Local Listings provides to each of our clients in efforts to ensure that our clients understand all of the terms and conditions of their account with us as it is our goal to be completely transparent with our clients.

Review: This company is using robocalls which are against the FTC guidelines and they are calling numbers on the DO NOT CALL registry. Even after "pushing 2" to be removed, and waiting for a rep and personally asking to be taken off their list, I'm still getting a call EVERY DAY but this group ...sometimes more than once.

They also identify themselves as a local Google representative, and they don't identify themselves as a Google partner company.. AND they are claiming that they can get someone on the front page listing at Google which violates Google's TOS so that would be misleading as well... altogether ....Shysters!Desired Settlement: You need to coordinate with the FTC who also has had a complaint registered. To get rid of these guys or at least get them to stop the Robocalls which are supposed to be an illegal practice.

Internet Local Listings would like to formally

apologize for any issues that have been pressed upon Ms. [redacted] in regards to

receiving phone calls concerning our internet marketing services. We take these

issues very seriously and have thoroughly investigated the matter. At this

point, this problem has been dealt with and handled accordingly. Ms. [redacted]'s phone number has been added to our Do Not Call List as of April 1, 2015. As a precautionary measure, we would like to inform Ms. [redacted] that

there are several companies that provide the same services as Internet Local

Listings that could still be contacting the business number in question.

In closing, this issue has already been resolved

as the phone number in question - [redacted] - has been added to our active

Do Not Call List. If Ms. [redacted] has any other numbers that he would like added to

the Do Not Call List, they may be entered at any time using the form located at

the bottom of our website: www.internetlocallistings.com.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I would like to put on the record that it was NOT other groups that have been directing this assault at my phone number. The contacts have all started with their intro, which is "Google representative Sharon" and the message is identical every time. Obviously, they are not paying attention to the requests to be removed from their marketing blitz AND robocalls are illegal under FTC guidelines, so I do not consider this closed unless they specify that they are going to discontinue the practice of using robotic phone methods. I have already filed an FTC complaint as well.

Regards,

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted], we have had several complaints about the message you are speaking about and have had issues with other companies using the same, nearly identical message when calling potential clients. That is why that was brought up in our first response; only to make you aware that you may be receiving phone calls from other companies in the industry as well so that you may place your number on their lists for further prevention from these phone calls. We have manually entered your phone numbered into our Do Not Call list and you will not receive any further phone calls from Internet Local Listings. Thank you.

Review: This company places a robotic call at least once a day, I have repeatedly "pressed 2" to opt out of their phone call base, to no avail. The call still comes the next day. I have listed to their sales pitch, which is overpriced and unrealistic for our area and then requested to be removed. They are pushy and don't take no for an answer. I have called in and requested to be removed from their calling list. Again, the calls come EVERY single day. At this point, I consider it harassment.Desired Settlement: I don't EVER want to hear from them again!!!!

Review: My understanding was that Internet Local Listings was a subsidiary or affiliate of [redacted]. I have since learned after my contract and $150 that they are not. They said they could set up a website to drive traffic to my website. Their website is unprofessional, inaccurate, and completely misrepresents what I do and my services. My website and [redacted] + page look NOTHING like theirs at all and their pages do not AT ALL properly represent my services and business! I have been asking for the information on this for weeks and finally have received the website addresses today and saw this!

They also represented they could get me on the front page of the [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] pages. Based on this horribly botched misrepresentation of my business, I do not intend to stick around to see if they can really do it. I want nothing more to do with them!

I still have to re-read the contract, but I want them to remove my billing information from their systems, take these horrible pages down, I want to be finished with the contract permanently, and never hear from these people again!

I will gladly stick to figuring it out myself as I listen more closely to God's voice on how to find customers and make social media work for me in the future. Can you please help me get away from them?Desired Settlement: I want to have my money previously spent refunded if you are able to do that. I want my billing information completely purged from their systems. I want their horrible pages with my company name, my name, my website address, and my phone numbers removed. I want my contract with them terminated. I want any and all listings they have created removed. I want all connections severed between Internet Local Listings and any subsidiaries and affiliates permanently severed. Can you please help me achieve this? Thanks so much!

Internet Local Listings would like to start by apologizing for any inconvenience that this matter may have caused to Ms. [redacted]. Upon receiving any type of information like this, we are sure to look through the account in its' entirety to ensure that everything was handled properly for our clients. In looking into this account, we have attempted several times to work with Ms. [redacted] to get these matters handled quickly and efficiently as is always our goal with our clients.

Review: A contract of 3 months was signed in April 2015 for services promised. Multiple calls have been made to set-up the services. Always with a response of "an email will be sent to you regarding your request". An email has never been received. Multiple calls have been made requesting an explanation of the services we continue to be billed for because none of the services promised have been completed. Again, they respond by stating an email will be sent. Email never received. Now, all I get when attempting to call their office is a voicemail asking that I leave a message. I have left multiple messages and no one has returned my call. I have been unable to get through to them. None of my issues have been resolved and I am unable to speak with someone regarding their services.

I was promised a listing on the 1st page of specific search engines when typing keywords. To this day, you cannot find me with keywords "Courier Services" as I requested.

I was promised a website displaying a industry video. There is no video on my website.

I was promised custom written content on my website. To this day I have been unable to speak with someone at their office so that I may provide them with my company information and company pictures.

As of right now, I am paying for nothing.Desired Settlement: I would like someone from the company to contact me and explain to me what they have been billing us for.

Response:

Internet Local Listings would like to start by apologizing for any inconvenience that this issue may have caused our client. We have reached out to the client twice and have left voicemails both times and would appreciate the opportunity to answer any and every question about this account in order to explain what we have provided and how the account is progressing[redacted] is currently ranking for 2 keywords: courier services and courier services near me when searching from Hialeah, FL (please see attached screen shots. We have to change the area that we search from because we are located in California). The website has also been created and includes content created for the client. It can be seen at http://destinyscs.com/ . We are more than happy to upload personal photos and make changes to the content at the clients request. The Google My Business page that we created is also doing very well with over 1,000 insights (please see attached screen shot). We would like to resolve this issue in the best manner possible and ask to receive a returned phone call back from the client so that we can address any concerns. Please call us at [redacted] ext. [redacted] and our representatives would be happy to assist you. You can also reach out to us via email at [redacted] so we can schedule a time for a phone call since we've had problems being able to get a hold of you.

Review: We entered into an agreement with the company which would provided us with the key word access to Google. They failed to do anything all. We contacted them repeatedly on the topic and finally dropped them yesterday.Desired Settlement: Complete refund of all funds paid

Business

Response:

Internet Local Listings would like to start by informing [redacted] that we take each and every one of these reports seriously and do our part to investigate them thoroughly in order to better provide services to our clients. In researching this case, we have identified the client and all notes listed on the account, dating back from the day that they entered into a business agreement with Internet Local Listings and through the date of their effective cancellation on January 12, 2015. When [redacted] signed up for services, he signed our three, 3, month contract acknowledging all of the terms and conditions of the business agreement.

Review: When I was contacted by Internet Local Listings (ILL) I was led to believe that their services would drastically improve my web presence and would have me on the first page of a local area Google search. My site had been up for about 10 months and I had 13 keywords registered with the 5 top search engines. The ILL rep told me they were SEO experts and would be providing a much higher level of service that included continuous monitoring of my ranking and adjustments as necessary to ensure a top ranking. She guaranteed placement on the first page within 59 days or they would "work for free". At around 45 days I contacted them with concerns about seeing no improvement in web presence and I was basically told the site wasn't ranking well but still it hadn't been 59 days so just be patient. At 60 days I received this email: " We've received your signed contract - Thank you for getting that back to us! Now we can provide you with your log in information so you can check on the status of your keywords. Please remember, we just started working on your account so don't worry if you don't see any keywords ranking just yet! We'll see some changes soon!"

As of day 61 my site appears no higher in a search than what it did prior to contracting with ILL and they have already charged my for the third month of the contract. When I called they told me it's the 4th month I would get free with the 59 day guarantee.Desired Settlement: I don't believe ILL provided any service I wasn't already receiving through my [redacted] account. Certainly not "superior" service as evidenced by the continued poor ranking, the wait-and-see response from the customer service representative; the 60 day email that states they just started working on the account; and the fact that they charged me for the 3rd even though the site never hit the first page.

I'd like to see ILL refund the full amount that I've paid for their service; it simply did nothing to benefit my small, veteran owned, business which is struggling to survive.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Local internet listings contract implies that the client receives a high level of service during the first 60 days that would, under normal circumstances, have their website on the first page. Statements such as: (paraphrased) some sites appear in as little as XX days; and often it may be 3 to 4 weeks (less than the 60 days) imply that those that go over 60 days are the exception rather than the rule. In reviewing many of the other complaints filed with the Revdex.com it appears that over 60 days may be the rule rather than the exception. Regardless of what the contract says, the sales and marketing folks clearly indicate there is a high degree of probability the clients site will reach the first page in short order. For a business that is struggling this often represents a "last ditch" effort to turn things around. When I received the email at the 60 day mark stating that they had just received the contract and that I needed to be patient because they were just getting started I became rather upset and that's when I checked the Revdex.com site. Mistake or not, their own statement clearly indicated to me that they had not fulfilled the obligation outlined in the contract. Based on what I read on the Revdex.com site and in the Internet local listings email I made the business decision to cut my losses. I was in the red and couldn't afford to have ILL charge me for another month when their marketing strategy wasn't paying off. By the contract, there is advance notice required for cancellation and that's what I provided. I'm requesting the refund based on non-performance, no results and their own admission that they were only beginning to take action at the 60 day mark.

Regards,

Business

Response:

In answer to [redacted] response, our contract does imply that the client receives a high level of service during the first sixty, 60, days that would normally bring the clients online business listing to the first page because we provide each and every one of our clients with a high level of service during the first sixty, 60, days of the business relationship as our goal is first page placement before our guarantee comes into play. If it were possible to guarantee, without doubt, that each and every one of our clients' business listings would be on the front page within any given time period, we would not have to impose a fifty-nine, 59, day guarantee to provide free service until the listing is on the front page. This guarantee has been put into place as a part of our services because we want to bring front page placement to each and every one of our clients and do not expect them to continue paying until their listing is on the front page - it is offered as a courtesy to ensure satisfaction for clients. The sentence directly from the contracts states, "Be advised that Google Optimization for the client’s listing may happen in as little as two to four, 2-4, weeks from when the client’s business is verified but can also take up to sixty, 60, days." This statement provides an accurate depiction of the possible timeline for your internet marketing campaign to be successful and does not state that "often it may be (three) to (four) 4 weeks." Furthermore, going over the fifty-nine, 59, day guarantee is the exception rather than the rule for our clients and we, unfortunately, understand why that is not displayed in the complaints on our Revdex.com listing as these are clients that may have not had the same success that our other clients experience. As the signed contract states, the sales account executives indicate a high probability that our clients sites will reach the first page as quickly as possible because that is the goal that we have for each of our clients.

Review: This company calls my office phone every day as an automated message. We are a small business and the relentless calling adversely affects our bottom line. Every time I take this call I am missing a call from an actual customer. We are already #1 on Google for our category. I understand that since we are a business it is not possible to go on the do not call list but this is plain harassment. I have asked over 20 times to remove our number and they refuse. I am posting this complaint to every review website possible to make everyone aware how this company decides to run their business.Desired Settlement: Stop calling me and maybe employ people to call for you

Response:

Hello Mr. [redacted],

As the owner of Internet Local Listings and on behalf of the company I am deeply and truly sorry for the harm our business may have caused yours by soliciting your company for our SEO services.

As I am sure you aware of most SEO companies market their services via different independent marketing companies, so as you may have requested to be taken off one companies list (ex. 29Prime, Local Splash, eGumball, the list goes on...) you may remain on another list.

I have manually removed you from our dialing list so I can assure you (the screenshot is below) that you will never be called from our company again.

To make up for your possible lost revenue and maintain a good relationship with other business I would be happy to extend to you a free year of service with our company (no credit card number required or any strings attached) if you would like.

Again I apologize about the calls Mr. [redacted], have a good day.

Sincerely,

Chief Executive Officer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

This company has been robocalling me for over a year. Every time I ask for a phone number or a company name they hang up on me. Today I FINALLY tricked one of their sales people into giving me a phone number (the 888 number listed for this company) and was able to track it back to this Revdex.com presence.

I have asked MANY times to be removed, have my number on a the do not call registry, never gave them my info to begin with, and continue to get phone calls. I'm hoping this review finally stops it.

Beyond that, their whole business is shady. The robocall claims to have "front page placements available with Bing, Google, and Yahoo" except that they don't represent any of those companies and placement is based on bidding (I am a digital marketing, SEO and SEM expert certified by Google).

This review is concerning the California based company Internet Local Listings. Their phone # is (888) 770-3950 and they are a digital marketing company.

I was sold an exposure package guaranteeing that I would be on the front page of google with my walking tour business. Six months later and after hundreds of dollars spent I discover that I am no where on the web! There was one day back in Sept. when my business made the first page but it was gone the next day. This company does not care about you as an individual or company. They do not want to work with you if your investment does not pay off. Yet they advertise even on their

phone message that "We make sure your investment pays off"! This is completely bogus. They would not work with me in any way. They saw that I received not one phone call to my business that would translate into income for me and they still did not care. As a company they have no integrity for clients. You get put into a machine that does not pay off for the client but pays off for them each month.

They need to be investigated from a business ethics posture.

I was about to lose all hope and lose my cool with this company until I spoke with [redacted]. She was really attentive to my concerns and addressed them immediately. She really redeemed them in my opinion. Had it not been for her, my review on this site would have been a lot different. Thank you so much [redacted]. With the customer service skills that you possess, you will go far in life and I wish you the greatest kind of success with Internet Local Listings.

Review: When I first spoke to the business they claimed that they would put my salon on the local salon area list, they did not. I would call and ask why you could not see my name The Colour Parlour anywhere. They said it took time. But after April, May, June, and July Nothing. I cancelled in August, Terrence said that if by September 10th I didn't see it I would be refunded my $195.00 down and my $400.00 in payments that I had made. I called and they never sent my $695.00 refund. I did ask what is the difference of a free listing and a paid listing, he told me when you pay you are shown , your business name on the local salon listing. This never happened for me. I did recently hire someone else.Desired Settlement: I would like them to send me a refund check now.

Business

Response:

Internet Local Listings would like to start by saying that the goal that we have for all of our clients is to see their business on the front pages of Google in the local section and that is why we provide the products and services needed to gain front page presence. Unfortunately, for some of our clients, we are not able to meet our goal as quickly as we'd like. There are many factors that could affect the ranking of the business listing and we do everything that we can to overcome these issues but it ultimately just takes time.

These guys have called me over 20 times with their robocalls, and will not take me off their list. I hate them.

New customer to this company but so far they've done well... thank you for your valued service.

Review: I am 71 yrs. old trying to get my masonry business kick started again. It's been slow. I work alone now because things are slow. This is what I told Local listings each time I talked with someone there because they kept changing people on me each time I called. I let them know I needed calls coming in daily not any of this 45 day stuff.

They all agreed to what I was saying until after I signed the contract. I already had a web site of my own now for about ten years with Homestead which has worked out fine. They saw it and should have told me then theirs would not be as good as mine. That way they knew what I expected. Once they got their web site built for me I looked at it and it was sick. They said this was a template for business' and if I wanted a better one it would cost me more. No pics were easy to fine on their site of my work . They said they would get all the pics from my old site and put them on the new one. You had to look and seek to find them. A customer isn't going to hunt & peak on a site. .When I cancelled the lady went & looked to see how easy it was to find my business online. They were suppose to make my company be on 50 or more places. When she went and looked she said it only showed up on TWO places. That's when I decided it was time to cut my loses and try something else. I would like for them to refund all my money except for $50.00 that's about the amt. of time they spent on my web site.

They said on their site for me That I was a builder and #1 in the area. I'm a masonry contractor and good but not #1 in DFW area. It was a very poor description of my business.

I lay stone and a few brick. On my site they put some rotating pics at the top of their site for me showing I did several things but not any of them pictured my real work except for one a man laying brick that was it. I got very unset because I need to pay my bills and provide for me and my wife. SS isn't that great so I still work. www.thestonecreationsinc.comDesired Settlement: Refund all my money except for $50.00 for the template office site they made.

Internet Local Listings would like to start by apologizing for any inconvenience that this issue may have caused for Mr. [redacted] and would also like to ensure Mr. [redacted] that we take any information that we receive from clients seriously and are sure to look into it thoroughly so that we can accurately as the situation and handle it properly.

Review: I was called several times and the sales person said within two weeks my business would be on the first page of google. And perhaps sooner, live on other search engines. Once I paid for 1st month and gave my credit card, they sent me an agreement that changed the two weeks verbal to 59 days in writing. I have called several times to complain and they promised to send a report that showed any work has been done with key words and I gave them a code from Google and nothing has been shown to me that anything has been done when it comes to my SEO. I spoke to several reps that have promised to send me reports, snap shots, list of search engines that I am suppose to appear on and I have never received anything. I have asked multiple times for a refund and they refuse.Desired Settlement: A full refund of $297

Business

Response:

Internet Local Listings sets goals for each of the accounts that we have with our clients. The first goal, and perhaps most important, is to get our client's business listings ranking on the first pages of Google as quickly as possible. Our staff of sales experts is responsible for letting each of our potential clients know that we work to get our clients ranking in as little as two weeks but that it could take up to fifty-nine, 59, days. We are fully understanding of the confusion that may have risen from the original sales call and have listened to the sales call where [redacted] explicitly states, "it does take a little bit of time to see yourself on the front pages of Google but generally I'd say it might take two weeks to find yourself on the first page of search results." We understand that this might have mislead Ms. [redacted] and have spoken with our sales agent to ensure that this doesn't happen again.

Review: This company has continuously cold called from out-going only numbers, different numbers every time. I am on the national do-not-call registry and have repeatedly gone through the steps in their calls to remove myself from their lists, but continue to receive the calls multiple times per week, sometimes multiple times per day.

I was finally able to speak to a person on the call today and when I asked them to stop calling and that their service would not remove me, I was told that because my number was listed on a Yelp page that I had nothing to do with setting up, they would continue calling me, despite my verbally asking to be removed. They also denied doing anything illegal after I had asked multiple times to be removed, and still calling me anyway.Desired Settlement: I simply wish for this company to stop contacting me and the many other people that receive these calls. Simply Google "[redacted], your local google representative" and you will see the numerous other people that continue to receive these calls, despite going through the automated motions of dialing whatever to be removed from the list. This kind of cold-calling is simply unethical advertising, especially when they have been asked verbally to stop calling.
