First we would like to apologize to the client for his experience as there is no excuse for lack of communication In regards to the client's loan, the reason why the client was approved for $exactly is because that is the amount that we informed Behalf that the client would need for our services Also please note that the client's membership does not include payroll as the client's membership is only for estimated tax payments, tax preparation and unlimited tax consulting Since minimal services were rendered (some of which are delayed tax prep"or rendered upon request "tax consulting") we are willing to offer the client a refund minus a 20% administrative fee Once the client accepts the offer, we will inform Behalf to refund 80% of what the client paid We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused the client and we appreciate his patience and your assistance

We have reviewed this complaint and have determined that this client has already been refunded $which he agreed to and accepted in writingThe client purchased a package that contained tax preps, unlimited tax consulting, and the client books programOur server works with the national database of online banking institutesThe only bank accounts that will not sync with our system are banks that have updated their systems and they become incompatible with the nationwide databaseThis is out of the control of Accountant that his bank was a non participating institutionWe would have been able to still render the tax prep services as well as the unlimited tax consulting the client paid forWe do have a day cancellation procedure in that you must cancel within days in order to receive a refund of any fundsHowever due to the client experience and frustration we did go above and beyond to offer the highest possible refund even though it is not within the cancellation termsAt this time the complaint has been resolvedBest Regards, Accountant

The same thing happened when they did my personal taxes The first "completed" version of my personal return stated that I had to pay around $24,in taxes Luckily once again, I knew this couldn't be true So againI nagged, begged, demanded, called, emailed, begged some more, demanded again, and nagged a few more times Then once again, it turned out I was due a refund instead! The horrendous, sloppy, and unethical services that 1800Accountant provided would have cost me over $26,000!!!! THAT'S TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does this sound like an accountant you want to hire?!? Just so I'm sure that I'm being clear about thisI paid a professional accounting firm to do my taxes and help me get the refund that I am legally due to get from the government, and yet instead they told me I had to pay TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS And when I brought this to their attention, they were not expeditious nor helpful in correcting it I spent hours upon hours on the phone and through email nagging, begging, demanding, begging some more, pleading, and nagging again to get them to correct my returnsThis is not an acceptable service Nobody should pay for an accountant to be this wrong, this unhelpful, and this Furthermore, I had to paper file both my own business taxes and my personal taxes Also, the business taxes were not completed on time And last, but not least, one of the accountants working on my taxes was fired In her own words, here's what she had to say: " [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] **" [redacted]

First we want to apologize to the client for any inconvenience she may have experienced but after reviewing her account, it looks like both her personal and business returns were prepared and filed. The client’s membership also provides unlimited access to an accountant for questions but this... portion of the service is rendered upon request and as the client stated, appointment were held for her. Since services were rendered but there were a few missteps and the client was not fully satisfied, we are willing to offer the client a refund for just the monthly fees. The client made seven payments of $29.99 which equates to a refund in the amount of $209.93. As for the amount refunded on the client’s taxes that is based on numerous factors such as expenses, profits and losses and can only be fully determined once the client’s taxes are actually prepared. We do inform client’s however that they can claim the amount paid to us as a business expense as long as their business is operational in the year that the service was purchased. As stated above, we can understand the client’s frustration which is why we are extending a refund offer to her but services were rendered and/or available to her therefore a refund of the total investment will not be issued. We appreciate your assistance regarding this matter and the client’s patience.

We have reviewed *** *** response and we did prepare an amended personal and tax form schedule C for which was filedWe had to file an amended return for *** *** because when her original personal return was filed it was missing the schedule C (which wasn't prepared or filed by 1-800Accountant)Since her schedule C was excluded the first time she filed, we had to prepare and file an amended personal and schedule C to complete them for her. *** ***s schedule C was not wrong, we did everything we could with the info she provided*** *** sent us a spreadsheet with her expenses listed, and typically we would ask for a P & L statement to complete her returns but we didn't want to inconvenience her so we went through her spreadsheet and only one item listed as an expense ended up being excluded because the item wasn't used for business purposes and it also didn't change the numbers by much, and this was conveyed to *** *** as she told us the item was for personal useDuring the preparation of *** ***'s amended personal and business return we used everything she provided us withAdditionally, internally her returns were reviewed and we followed the numbers and proper protocol. It is unfortunate that *** *** is upset because she owed the IRS money, but we did everything we could with the income/expenses she provided usWe apologize that your experience with us was not satisfactory and we are willing to refund you $1,We did provide services for the client and will not be refunding the remaining amounts paid

We rectified the errors on the client's documents and paid for the revisions and online filing therefore the client remains ineligible for a refund We appreciate your assistance regarding this matter

We have reviewed the clients file and technically he is ineligible for a refund The representative who reviewed his account provided the client with the wrong information as we only issue full refunds if the client cancels within days and in this case the client failed to cancel within
that timeframe but since we did not prepare the clients taxes, we are willing to offer the client an $refund We therefore request that the client confirm his acceptance through this dispute in order for us to issue his partial refund If the client has any questions, we request that he contact us directly Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter
