all charges back to the client's card on file except for the monthly $29.99 charge. We have determined this charge will be retained because the client fully utilized the online member portal. There is a fee of $29.99 monthly for access to the member portal. The total refund being provided is $4688.00. The client will see this back on the card on file in 3-5 business days. Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]:  Again, the facts in the response from 1-800 Accountant are incorrect. I had to pay them separately for an amendment, which should not have after the absorbent amount of money I spent for a "full service accountant" to whom I was never able to reach. I also was not the one to file the original taxes, so also incorrect. Yes, my schedule C was 100% wrong when they created it as I had to pay a separate accountant after the fact, over $400, incurring me more expenses to the $2200+ I already spent with 1-800 Accountant for nothing. 1-800 Accountant absolutely did not load anything in for me, I had to load in each item myself, and it was a P&L. I was not "upset" that I owed money to the IRS, I knew that I would, but 1-800-Accountant had me overpaying the IRS by $3,000!!!! Then refused to answer my phone calls and emails so I had to hire someone else to do my taxes, fix the mess that 1-800-Accounatant created and turn my taxes in late! So, to say that they did everything that could is a bold faced lie. Please go back through my initial complaint to see that 1-800 Accountant did NOTHING when I needed assistance and questioned the $3,800 they told me owed to the IRS.  However, I am still sick to my stomach over this company and the amount of time wasted over phone calls, emails, complaints that in order to end this, I will accept the partial refund of $1890. How am I to ensure that I actually get this? I assume this case will not be closed until I report that I have received a partial refund for the highly unsatisfactory experience in working with 1-800 Accountant?

  Per my discussion with a customer service manager I requested a complete cancellation of all services. I requested a full refund and was ensured this would be honored once my bank provided the required charge back details and documentation. I explained I will no longer work with 1800accounting because they did not fulfill their obligation as an accounting service provider. The only resolution I will accept is a full refund. I do not want to work with 1800accounting again because they failed to provide the most basic services they promised within a reasonable time frame based on industry standards of CPAs.

We have reviewed this complaint and have determined that this client has already been refunded $1117.50 which he agreed to and accepted in writing. The client purchased a package that contained tax preps, unlimited tax consulting, and the client books program. Our server works with the national...

database of online banking institutes. The only bank accounts that will not sync with our system are banks that have updated their systems and they become incompatible with the nationwide database. This is out of the control of 1800 Accountant that his bank was a non participating institution. We would have been able to still render the tax prep services as well as the unlimited tax consulting the client paid for. We do have a 30 day cancellation procedure in that you must cancel within 30 days in order to receive a refund of any funds. However due to the client experience and frustration we did go above and beyond to offer the highest possible refund even though it is not within the cancellation terms. At this time the complaint has been resolved. Best Regards, 1800 Accountant

We have issued the client's $400 refund back to his original credit card.  The client must allow 3-5 business days for the credit to post.  We appreciate your assistance regarding this matter.

I have indeed provided them everything they have asked for. I did this prior them needing to file an extension; but they still filed an extension. However, I received a letter from the IRS that they filed the extension late and I'll now occur penalties. 1-800-accountant has thoroughly messed up my return. I've been shifted from person, to person to person to person. I never know who I'm suppose to talk to. Never was I late in providing them everything they needed. I have all the supporting emails documenting that I've told them over and over and over again that I provided them the information they requested. They're inability to have a dedicated CPA handle my account is why the next person then request the same information I provide to the previous person. It's been a circle of errors on their part, not mine. I PROVIDED EVERYTHING in a timely manner. Still today my taxes are not completed and no one is requesting any additional information.It's been recognized by them (through [redacted]) that they have screwed me around and around and around.

We have reviewed this complaint and would like to apologize for any confusion and frustration. The zero corporate return that the client purchased is in fact only $295. There was a business Virtual Tax Organizer available to the client on his portal. The Virtual tax organizer that the client...

completed was the personal tax prep organizer which is why it did charge him an additional $295. This should not have occurred as client should have received assistance in completing the tax organizer. Again, we do apologize for this and we have refunded the second charge of $295 today and the client will see this back on his card in 3-5 business days. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I just was able to retrieve the document from 1800accountant's website that they requested and sent it to them.  They had the document all this time, I wasn't able to retrieve them before  I am not sure what the reason was, but I just sent them the document that they claimed I never submitted, and they had it! They just pretended that they didn't have it, and we're trying to cover it. For this reason alone, they should receive poor rating!

We have reviewed the client's file and have determined that we are willing to refund the client's loan agreement and partial refund of the $695.  While the client did not utilize the business tax preparation, he had the option to roll over the business tax preparation to a personal tax prep at...

$295.  Based on this, we are willing to refund $400 of the $695.  We therefore request that the client confirm acceptance of the offer in order for us to issue the partial refund.

We have reviewed the client's file and wanted to inform you that we completed the client's taxes and bookkeeping on April [redacted].  If the client has any questions related to the completed work, we request that they contact us directly.  Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.

We would ask that the client please review her bank statement for her card ending in 5896 that the purchase was made on. There has been ample time from the date the refund was issued for the client to have received the refund at this point. After further review of this client's account we have determined we will refund all monthly charges of $149 due to services not being rendered for book keeping. However we have attached the receipt for purchase of the client's package that does include the $29.99 monthly fee and also details the cancellation policy at the bottom of the receipt. Therefore we will not be able to refund that monthly fee. The client will see a refund back on his card in 3-5 business days. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.  1-800 Accountant

[1800accountant has not settled the amount that is in dispute ($1162.00). The company Has charged me a total of $2187. They have refunded me $297.00 for services not rendered and requested to be refunded to me by their worker in the year 2015.  After disputing the remaining amount in 2016, for additional services not rendered but charged in the following five months, I was refunded $795.00. I have advised the business that I am not satisfied with this minimal refund for services largely not provided.  I have never agreed to a settled amount and have voiced my discontent with their seriously concerning business practices.  I continue to await a refund in the amount of $1162.00. The $1162 disputed amount is the difference of what I have been charged, minus the refunds, (balance of $1244) and the fair market value of the actual services rendered. I await a refund in the amount of $1162.
