[I reached out to KIA and was able to locate a case manager assigned to this complaintAfter several attempts to contact him, I was able to speak to him regarding this matterThe conversation took all of less than a minuteDespite the fact that we were told a new engine would be installed, Kia only replaced certain parts of the engine with remanned partsThe representative said he was unware of this but offered to pay month of the car paymentI declined as the car is paid in full and that is not the solution we are looking forI explained that we would be moving forward with legal actionHe did not seem to care.Needless to say, I will never purchase or recommend KIA

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolutionPlease respond in this space ONLY: I am rejecting Kia's response because I received the message on April 19th (Tuesday) and it is now after hours on April 22nd (Friday), and a Kia representative has yet to reach out to me as they said they would. Unfortunately I am not surprised by this. My car sat for an entire week at the local dealership due to Kia not contacting the local dealership in a timely manner to tell them how to proceed with my car. This was after many attempts on my part to contact Kia to find out what was causing the hold upWhen I filed the claim initially (and the only reason I filed the claim was because the local dealership told me that I HAD to file a claim before they would even look at my car), I was told it should only take a couple of days for Kia to contact the local dealership.

I do not think they need 2 to 3 business days.  I have been fighting with them since December.  Hagerstown Kia has been contacting them.  I have sent e-mails.  I was told I would be contacting on [redacted]  [redacted]

proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I have been waiting for someone to contact me and have yet to receive any information that they would even look into my vehicle and the recall.  If in fact I do receive confirmation and they will investigate and cover the charges left on the vehicle I will proceed with closing this case until then.  I am left without a vehicle for a car that when it was being driven would not turn and continued to go straight and hit a 3 ft tall palm tree resulting in the car catching on fire.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I know it is outside of warranty.  KIA and Revdex.com, this is not the issue.  My issue is KIA refuses to REPAIR this part.  They force you to REPLACE it at an absurd cost.  Everywhere else in the city, this repair can be done for $3500 but KIA only offered to replace it.  I was forced to repair it elsewhere and now have an even shorter warranty for 12,000 on parts and not labor with after-market parts.  This is not a good business practice.  Why is this part so expensive. Every other car and truck, even diesel engines is 500-1500 to Repair,    to replace transfer cases range from 1000-to 2000.  The  max on a KIA SORENTO, the most expensive of all vehicles by far as said to me by every repair shop in the city, they were very shocked at the prices, they have never heard of any vehicle being so high or difficult ever.  This is an unfair situation.  The part is defective or should have a longer warranty based on the cost to replace, for 1st or 2nd owners no matter what
