Why is it that your customer service reps are uninformative? Plus I should be able to review my claim status online I was told numerous times that my claim was in processingAfter days I found out that you still didn't receive death certificate I went to local office to provide because the agent for the funeral home sent it by regular mail Itthe admin asst contacted life claims and sent death cert to them via fax and *** Agent for funeral home was paid on 6/A letter dated 6/supposedly mailed to me stating it was approved Never got that letter but got a letter stating I needed to complete claim forms I did that alreadyWhat the [redacted] is going on there and where is my money? Nobody knows Agent just received notice today that my husband passed days agoShe said if I don't get it by next week I said next week? I better be getting my money before July 7th....it is only a balance of 19, I would hate to have a policy for 200, It probably would take years from date of death Agent wants to personally deliver check to meWhy to sell me another policy [redacted] no

An insurance sale rep named Brandon [redacted] made an appointment with me and said he needed my checking account information to see if I qualified for a short term insurance policyI provided it to himHe assured me they needed it only to see if I would be approved for the policy and that I could decide later if I wanted to peruse the insurance plan and that I would not be billed for the plan, as it was not set in stoneOn 3/22/Bankers Life drafted $from my checking account without my authorizationNow the sales rep won't return a telephone call or a text messageHis cell phone is 615-***-***, his office 615-***-***

Bankers Life agents are very available and attentive until they have all your moneyFor the third time in the three years since I moved my investments to Bankers Life, I cannot get in touch with my agent or anyone else at Bankers LifeCustomer Service lines just give the mechanical runaround and then disconnect youThe office number for my agent is always a recording even during business hoursAfter a week of calling and leaving messages every day, I still have not made contactThe first time I tried to contact them was because I needed to make my required minimum distributionI started my efforts in October and was unable to complete the transaction before the end of the year putting me in jeopardy of IRS penalties of $The second time I needed to withdraw funds After months of calling and e-mailing, I was finally told my agent had left the companyNow I am again needing funds for property taxes and cannot make contactWhat is wrong with this company????

Have been a customer of Bankers since Their agent who came to our house moved to Hawaii after two yearsNever informed usNever left us with a new agent to handle our claimsHvae tried calling him times leaving messages in both Virginia and Hawaii officesHe refuses to return callsReally poor service and disgusting way to treat peopleStars

My mother had *** insurance through Bankers Life & CasualtyShe received many services at her Assisted Care (including med distribution, assistance toileting, assistance dressing, assistance bathing, assistance transfering) ,but BLC would not pay because it was not a "nursing home." My mother then moved into a hospice facility with hour nursing care for the last months of her lifeBut again, because it was not licensed as a traditional nursing home, they kept denying coverageThey would also keep asking for information we had already sentThey do not assign an agent to your caseSo when calling, you always get someone new which requires you to explain your story over and over againThey never call backInstead you get another letter stating materials are missing - when they're not! The hospice facility director finally submitted mom's care broken into personal care hoursThey finally paid, but only for monthsAnd it took hours and hours of my time, the hospice director's time, and the facility director's timeBoth directors could not believe how terrible Bankers Life & Casualty is

To my dismay, I have a Universal Life policy with Bankers LifeI requested, due to a hardship, to cancel the policyI was told I could, but I would lose all the money I have paid on time, monthly I contacted my local agent, Clyde ***, here in Tampa, to help me to see if I can get the policy limit reduced/changedOn July 17, 2018, I was told it would take business days On August 7, 2018, business days, no reply I contacted my local agent and advised I have received nothingOn August 28, 2018, Mr*** asked if I had received an illustrationI responded that I had notI was then business days without having any response from Bankers Today is September 4, 2018, business days
They happily took my roll over and my monthly premiums, but do not respond to any requests in a TIMELY BUSINESS MANNER

Purchased a Indexed *** Life insurance policy a for death benefit and long time cash value accumulationI've only had it a couple years but everything my agent said has been true and very satisfied with service

Banker's Life has denied my claim for long term health care at home despite the fact that I have provided multiple documents from a doctor, the hospital and the assessment of the home health care provider, along with all of the daily visit notes and all of the other documentation that was requested My father clearly meets the terms of the contract as they are written They have denied coverage starting in December through July of They are claiming that the daily visit notes are not clear enough but there is no mention in the contract that daily visit notes are even required for payment The three professional assessments prove that he meets the requirements and it logically follows that the care he is receiving is for those deficiencies This is a clear breach of contract

Very UnprofessionalI have left messages asking for my Bankers Life Insurance agent, Chris ** ***, to please call me to discuss an issue I have with two of my three policies I have with BankersI left these messages in the general mail box since no one ever answers the phoneOn the third message I even asked if ANYONE would call me since Chris won'tNo one has ever called meSo, then I called the customer service number and asked to speak to a supervisorI don't remember the guys name, but he was very rude and condescending to meI have had these policies for close to years, so they are very inexpensive, otherwise I would cancel all of them and find a company who actually cares about their clientsOne of the policies I HAVE OWNED since my kids were little, and have been paying on all these years, they switched to my daughter being the owner without my consent! I told them just to cancel it then, and was told I didn't have the authority to cancel it because I am not the ownerWell, I WAS the owner till they took it upon themselves to switch it without authorizationMy daughter doesn't want the policy since she has her own, so I guess I will have her call in to cancel itThey just hurt themselves on that oneAnyway, Basically they are a VERY unprofessional group of peopleI am VERY UPSET AND DISSATISFIED with the LACK of customer serviceDon't use BankersThere are a lot of other, more caring, insurance companies out there

I took out a life insurance policy with themin august It was a one time payment of $up front for a $death benefit for lifeI received the policy on August 22ndIt was not what I wantedThe policy was only guarented for years not for lifeI had a thirty day inspection I called the agent *** *** and told him I was canceling itI delivered the policy to bankers headquarters downtown chicage on sept 6th and handed it to a *** *** in person She said my 80k would be refunded in a timely matterOn the front of the policy it stated a full refund would be issued within twenty days of my cancellation and return of policy to home officeIt has now been forty days and no refundI called the home office sept 5th and they said they knew nothing of me returning it and would look into it I asked to talk to the woman who signed for the policy and was told she doesn't existI called the agent *** *** and have not heard back from him His

I was just leaving a detailed review and the Revdex.com screen switched to a "Request a Quote from Bankers Life"!!! Two days ago, Alicia ***, a Bankers Life insurance agent, showed up at my door, unannounced, without an appointment; my husband and I had never heard of her or her company As I was out of town, my husband took her card and an "appointment" for tomorrow I contacted Ms*** by phone and asked her how she had gotten my personal information (name, age, address) Ms*** stated that as a "preferred vendor," and the "only insurance company allowed to contact persons months out from *** eligibility," the information was provided by *** When pressed further, she stated that the personal information was provided by the government / *** A phone call to *** cleared this up immediately *** does not provide personal information to insurance agencies I do not know where or how she got the info (I've had other mailings but no one showing up at my door), but it was not from *** Revdex.com, I know that you follow a formula in order to rate businesses, but maybe consideration of reviews should also be factored into the equation

This company is very unethicalDon't believe me read the other reviewsI was looking at doing business with the Richmond VA local office and was initially very interested and went ahead and filled out the application for a Medicare Supplemental policy and included my bank information to pay for the premiumsThis was a cold call sales tactic and I fell for it hook line and sinkerAfter researching the company I instructed the agent Robert ***, not to proceed and do not submit my applicationWell Rober *** submitted it anyhow and due to my own negligence I have been charged months premiums which was deducted directly from my checking accountI am ashamed of myself for not researching before filling out the application and more for not keeping better tabs on my bank account allowing premiums to be taken out of my account without realizing itI am more appalled with a company that allows such activities from its employees Shame on you Bankers Life you need to keep better tabs on your agent's underhanded activities

Oh wow - it seems I am not the only person fed up with Bankers! My Mom had a heart attack last year May and it is now February and we are still fighting for them to pay her claimsHer doctor has faxed all her test results three times and Bankers keeps sending her letters requesting the testsThey never ever return her calls - her agent has never either after multiple voice messagesThey are quick to take her money which is now in the thousands and yet they are stalling to pay out! They are unethical and the customer service reps tell us different things whenever we callIt is a nightmare and I am still hoping they will step up and pay the claimWhether they do or don’t, if I don’t have any success, my Mom will cancel her policy and will send a letter with her complaintsStay away from Bankers!!!!!

I've called and cash in my inherited IRA First the person who was familiar with the account told me incorrect information I was told I would not be penalized if I used it to purchase a home and was a first time home buyer That was wrongSecondly, I'm waiting to get my money Supposedly it was sent in the mail December 28, 2017; I had the check canceled January 17, I was then told it would be over-night delivered January 22, is today and now no one is answering the phone and am not in receipt of said check I will not use this company for anything else I thought perhaps for my daughter but nope I hope I will not have to sue to get my money

I asked for a quote for term life insurance from Ed ***, a Banker's Life agent in Maryland on June 20th, When Mr*** and I met to discuss the possibility of buying term life insurance he told me that it would not be an issue if I changed my mind about the policy so long as I did that prior to having the medical tests performed At no time during the meeting did he tell me that if I changed my mind he would need to have a letter sent to me stating that Banker's Life would be "declining coverage." On Friday, June 23rd, I call Ed *** to tell him I had decided to not go forward with purchasing a policy Mr *** told me he would return my deposit, which he has At the same time Mr*** told me that since I had changed my mind about buying the insurance I would receive a letter from Banker's Life telling me that I had been declined coverage ON July 1st, I received the letter from Banker's Life telling "THANK YOU FOR YOUR RECENT APPLICATION FOR INSURANCE

Got insurance from agent and 10-26-and agent took post dated check for $I received a denial in mail in November then they cashed check written to *** *** Life Insurance on December The only way I can get money back is to get copy of check and send it in and they will check it outThey know I was denied We don’t have a lot of money and have other bills to pay

Bankers Life has been unsuccessful in settling the life insurance policy issued for my fatherMy father passed away over two months ago and I have been working diligently everyday since to file a claim and resolve this policyI personally gathered hundreds of pages containing medical records and faxed them BankersWhile they have all the necessary information to make a final decision, I am still being told they cannot review the recordsThe records I sent fully state his medical condition with dates, before and after diagnosisMy father was not seen by a doctor for two of the dates requestedBecause of this they, will not move forward with the processBankers Life claims they requested a letter of verification from the doctors office on 12/15/17, stating he was not seen within those two datesBankers has not yet received that verification and the doctors office has also not received that request
