Bankers Life has been unsuccessful in settling the life insurance policy issued for my fatherMy father passed away over two months ago and I have been working diligently everyday since to file a claim and resolve this policyI personally gathered hundreds of pages containing medical records and faxed them BankersWhile they have all the necessary information to make a final decision, I am still being told they cannot review the recordsThe records I sent fully state his medical condition with dates, before and after diagnosisMy father was not seen by a doctor for two of the dates requestedBecause of this they, will not move forward with the processBankers Life claims they requested a letter of verification from the doctors office on 12/15/17, stating he was not seen within those two datesBankers has not yet received that verification and the doctors office has also not received that request

Nightmare....best way to describe working with this company Have not recovered a cent from a claim for for year old mother with dementia Rude ,disrespectful and purposely mid leading...shameful..avoid doing business with them

My Mother has had a Long Term Care policy with Bankers for yearsShe became paralyzed by brain cancer and we had to place her in a assisted livingBankers claims dept was a life saver! One client has an LTC policy with Banker's Life She was approved and care started on 09/29/ As a service to our client, we submit bills & daily care logs to Banker's Life every two weeks Our client gets help for activities of daily living (showering, TED hose) & others such as housekeeping & driving Her plan of care has not changed since the start of care The client called yesterday, very upset, saying Banker's Life is cutting off benefits on 04/24/as she doesn't meet their policy requirements for her to continue receiving benefits I called Banker's Life & spoke to agent Vanessa & asked her to please explain Vanessa said her benefits are being cut off because she "does not meet the policy requirements for needing care and she is not cognitively impaired." I asked the agent how many ADLs are needed to qualify for benefits After a few minutes of "reviewing" the policy, the agent said, "The policy requires that the client need help in or

A car drove down our street today and stopped in front of our house in Corpus Christi on North Padre Island A man and a woman got out of the rear seats and rang our doorbell They were from the S Staples Bankers Life Insurance office They were cold calling/selling Long-Term Care Insurance They were polite but very assertive in their sales pitch, taking about minutes at our front door What is concerning is that they were not knocking on every door, but they specifically were stopping directly at our house, I assume they have a list, as they did have our names and addressWe have never contacted any business for any form of life or long-term care insurance Do they need a city license to solicit? Our personnel information is out there, be careful

In 2016, I made a request to cancel my insurance policy with Banker's LifeI told my agent at that time to issue the cancellationHe visited me at my home, I signed paperwork and assumed it was taken care of A year and a half later I received a call from a happy Bankers agent saying that he's my new repI told him my policy was cancelled, he said my policy appeared as active, and would look into itI never got a call back
From there I didn't hear from Bankers for a while and then suddenly I got a letter regarding my "policy"I have requested stop payments from my bank, called into customer service ###-###-#### several times to request cancellation (sometimes they confirm the policy is not active, other times they say I have a policy but it has no value, and I should not be billed--never a clear answer)To my knowledge I was able to prevent all unauthorized charges, but charges have appeared as different names (exBLL, Bankers, or Colonial) so it is harder to monitor my ac

Premiums for a Continuing Care Policy have been faithfully paid monthly to Banker's Life and Casualty Company for nearly twenty years, by Katheryne A***April 2018, Katheryne entered The *** facility, for Continuing Care, at age ninety-oneKatheryne has several diagnosis, Dementia, being oneA claim was filed on behalf of Katheryne, by her three childrenRequested Paperwork was collected, filled out and mailed to BLC.In late June of 2018, Banker's Life and Casualty acknowledged a claim was filed and would review contentNot until August 21, 2018, after much back and forth, did we receive a letter officially from BLC stating our mother had met the criteria of her policy and qualified for benefits. It is a constant battle a never ending request for MORE information from BLC still, and no certainty at all that BLC will indeed honor this claim

Approximately one year ago, I was visited by an agent as I was nearing the age for obtaining a medicare supplemental insurance policy Six months later I was revisitedSince that time I have had two additional in-person solicitationsI sent a letter to the service center in my area asking to cease the visits and respect my privacy explaining I was no longer interested and had already obtained a supplemental policy Since sending the letter, I have received two additional visits, (one today) unsolicited I now deem this harassment as this company chose to ignore a written request to stop despite promises from the agents who visit to remove me from this company's files

My father passed away and I am the trustee and they claim to tell us to send original death certThe other people on the act have gottentheir money and we have not and now they stopped pay and chd us the stop payment feeThey have been so rude and very bad to work with..it will be months since dad has passed and the other have had their money for a month!

On Tues Nov 21, I had all of my families life policies taken off of Direct DebitOn Tues Nov 27, I checked my bank statement and Bankers Life had taken out $The customer service rep specifically said they were no longer on Direct debit and I would be receiving mailed statements from here on out, but have not been able to get it resolvedI will call again tomorrow to try and fix the issueIf there is no resolution, then I will be filing a complaint, especially because they record their phone calls and it took place at 2:Pm

As a new employee of the company they have treated me very well and I respect everybody in the businessIt is not an easy job and they made sure to tell me so when I applied

My father died in He had *** *** insuranceWhen an agent came to see her in April of 2002, she was encouraged to roll life insurance into annuities ( *** *** *** *** ***.) she did just that my mom started to have changes in her judgementShe contact *** *** to cash in her annuities, and gift her sons It was a different agent in the spring of I imagine the agent who came to the house to "help" her with cashing in the polices, encouraged her to take life insurance for herself Mom's birthday *** Dad's name was Thomas F* (Jr.), Mom's name is Mary A*** My mom was receiving a lot of political mailOften about the notch generation, and about a death tax So she decided to gift her kids prior to her death I am her POA I was not present for the meeting However, I was present when he returned to have her sign the policy I never called the agent to take out insurance on my mom I told him she didn't need the polic

Banker's Life has denied my claim for long term health care at home despite the fact that I have provided multiple documents from a doctor, the hospital and the assessment of the home health care provider, along with all of the daily visit notes and all of the other documentation that was requested My father clearly meets the terms of the contract as they are written They have denied coverage starting in December through July of They are claiming that the daily visit notes are not clear enough but there is no mention in the contract that daily visit notes are even required for payment The three professional assessments prove that he meets the requirements and it logically follows that the care he is receiving is for those deficiencies This is a clear breach of contract

An insurance sale rep named Brandon *** made an appointment with me and said he needed my checking account information to see if I qualified for a short term insurance policyI provided it to himHe assured me they needed it only to see if I would be approved for the policy and that I could decide later if I wanted to peruse the insurance plan and that I would not be billed for the plan, as it was not set in stoneOn 3/22/Bankers Life drafted $from my checking account without my authorizationNow the sales rep won't return a telephone call or a text messageHis cell phone is 615-***-***, his office 615-***-***

I asked for a quote for term life insurance from Ed ***, a Banker's Life agent in Maryland on June 20th, When Mr*** and I met to discuss the possibility of buying term life insurance he told me that it would not be an issue if I changed my mind about the policy so long as I did that prior to having the medical tests performed At no time during the meeting did he tell me that if I changed my mind he would need to have a letter sent to me stating that Banker's Life would be "declining coverage." On Friday, June 23rd, I call Ed *** to tell him I had decided to not go forward with purchasing a policy Mr *** told me he would return my deposit, which he has At the same time Mr*** told me that since I had changed my mind about buying the insurance I would receive a letter from Banker's Life telling me that I had been declined coverage ON July 1st, I received the letter from Banker's Life telling "THANK YOU FOR YOUR RECENT APPLICATION FOR INSURANCE

To my dismay, I have a Universal Life policy with Bankers LifeI requested, due to a hardship, to cancel the policyI was told I could, but I would lose all the money I have paid on time, monthly I contacted my local agent, Clyde ***, here in Tampa, to help me to see if I can get the policy limit reduced/changedOn July 17, 2018, I was told it would take business days On August 7, 2018, business days, no reply I contacted my local agent and advised I have received nothingOn August 28, 2018, Mr*** asked if I had received an illustrationI responded that I had notI was then business days without having any response from Bankers Today is September 4, 2018, business days
They happily took my roll over and my monthly premiums, but do not respond to any requests in a TIMELY BUSINESS MANNER

I've never had such a horrible experience with any business as I did with the Duluth, GA office The agent Constance *** told me blatant lies with how she was handling a claimWhen I spoke with her supervisor he tactless enough to say I got the short end of the stick when it came to the payout of my mother's life insuranceConstance hung up on me in the middle of a phone conversation and refused to return any text or callsI called the office twice a day left a message each time for straight and never received a return callThey even called my sister and told her about private conversations I had with them

Bankers Life & Casualty deposited checks in the amount of $on 3/08/in my bank accountThe checks were returned on 3/13/And since they were returned I gave to pay the money back to my bank
