I got a loan for solar panels from Loan pal and due to COVID-19 the building of my system did not start until after the date they put as my loan start date. They did this to avoid the clause in their own contract that would have voided the loan. To make maters worse when I tried to pay off the loan before my first payment they have already started charging interest to my loan before I have any access to even see my amount or make payments on it in their own portal. I would highly recommend getting a loan for panels through your own sources and never using a shady leech of a company such as loanpal.

If I cant make payments on it you shouldn't be able to charge interest on it ESPECIALLY if the work is not completed.

I have financed and refinanced multiple times through loanpal. I find them to be so trustworthy and helpful. It has taken the stress out of dealing with financial institutions. I always recommend them to friends whenever I hear of someone considering a refi.

Loanpal was the loan provider for ***. They set up a monthly autopay amount I did not want and they repeatedly claimed it was impossible to change it. The online portal made it very difficult to make supplemental payments. When I called to pay off the loan, the agent said he wasn’t able to determine a payoff amount and would give me a call back. I never received a call. I had to estimate a payoff amount, which was a little short due to undisclosed payoff fees, and they had the temerity to charge me interest on the difference. That was my 10 months of hell with Loanpal.
