Locksmith Connections Reviews (294)

I contacted this company to send out a locksmith that was supposed to only make a key for my car which he pop out ignition and drilled into my mobilizer causing me to need a brand new ignition and mobilizer called them back so that they could send one out to fix it they never did then talk to a supervisor by the name of Christine and she was so unprofessional she told me that don’t you have his number on your caller Id you can contact him yourself have a nice day and hung up in my face I had contacted several times with no response so now I have to come out dollars to get my car fixed

I locked my keys in my car and called the first ad I saw on my phone after Googling "locksmith stlouis", which turned out to be Locksmith ConnectionsThis is exactly what this company is banking on- you are in a hurry and will not do researchThis was my first mistakeLocksmith Connections does not do the locksmith work themselves, they dispatch a locksmith (or at least some guy who can open a lock) from another local company to your locationThe representative on the phone from Locksmith Connections advised me there is a $service charge, and services are $35, and she advised me my technician would call me right awayHe did, I gave him my location, and I waited the minutes for him to arriveHe was in an SUV with no company logos and was wear regular street clothes, no uniform or logo on his personHe then told me it would be $to unlock the car, plus the service fee, which was more than triple what I was quoted on the phoneI advised him that wasn't the quote I was given, and he couldn't have cared lessHe had clearly had this conversation a thousand timesHe said the representative on the phone doesn't give quotes, only an estimate, and really he was giving me a "deal" because he had been doing them for $and $all morningSince I was in a rush and needed to get into my car, I grudgingly agreed to the priceMy alternative was to call reputable locksmith and likely wait another 20-minutes for him to arrive to do the workThis is exactly what they are counting on- you are in a rush and in need of services that minute, so you will pay any amount they will quote you when they arrive on the sceneClassic bait and switchThis isn't technically a scam, nothing illegal happened, but it is definitely a racket designed to take advantage of a person's situationHe unlocked the car and my receipt was from a company called "A* *** *** *** LLC"They didn't even have an address listed, only a PO Box in StLouisI called back Locksmith Connections after the guy left and that "customer service representative" said that I didn't technically have to pay him, I could have called another companyThis is all technically true, and I'm sure this a conversation he had also had many times beforeThis is their business model and it is unethicalMy guess is that Locksmith Connections get a nice referral fee for every customer they send to these local "locksmith" companiesSo lesson learned, do my research even when you have locked your keys in your car in a hot summer parking lot when you are minutes late to work, because they are shady folks out there like Locksmith Connections and A* *** *** **

They're a complete scam with no controls in place to protect the customerThey quoted me $for the technician to arrive, then $for the service itself They said it shouldn't take more than minutes One hour later, the locksmith shows up and tells me it's $to open the door, and the people on the phone have no idea what they're talking about We tell him no, he goes down to $ I say I'm even clearer now that it's a no, so he goes to $ I speak to the dispatcher on the phone and cancel I hand the guy a $20, tell him I'm sorry but I won't do business like this, and he proceeds to stand at my house and complain for quite a while While I'm trying to get him to leave, the dispatcher then proceeds to call me SIX times straight, no voicemail I pick up and told him I cancelled and would just like to move on He then called me a F* *** and hung up the phone on me I called the main number to register a complaint, and they told me they have no way of knowing who called me (an ENORMOUS customer risk) and that they can't help me in any way

It was almost midnight and extremely cold and rainy and I somehow dropped my keys into my Civic's trunk I found Locksmith Connections by searching with Google and since this was the first time I have ever needed a locksmith I decided to go ahead with this business A woman answered and right a way her friendly voice seemed to calm my nerves After about to minutes of explaining my situation she had all my info and minutes later the locksmith himself called He told me he would be there in minutes (he was only minutes late) and before I knew it, I was back in my car, warm, safe, and on my way home from work Locksmith Connections was a life saver and would recommend them to anyone!!!

Locksmith Connections LLP serving Bucks County PA
RIP OFF Was told $service fee and $to start, they wouldn't give me any ballpark figure over the phone It was New Year's Day, so I knew it would be quite a bit but they ended up charging me $to remove one deadbolt lock The young man said my homeowner's insurance would reimburse me, and that most people don't realize their policies have a once-a-year reimbursement if you're locked out He assured me that he had State Farm also, and that 80% of all his customers get reimbursed from their homeowner's insurance Needless to say, I called State Farm and they said they never heard of it They called Corporate and they said NO they don'tAll the young man did was drill the st out of the deadbolt lock until it fell apart, anyone could have done that He left all the metal shavings everywhere and did not clean up when he was finished

These people are the worstI was told that they're price for a key was a minimum of $165, which is way too much for a key as it is, but they said a guy would come over to give a more accurate quoteI left him to do his calculations and he comes back with the keys in hand demanding $for two keys (which I did ask for)They never gave me the quote before he started workingI asked why they costed so much, considering the service fee was only $He said that the materials are what costed so muchThis is a lieI looked online and found the exact key I needed for $Remember, the cost of service was only $20, so that means they are gouging the price of materials to fool youThese people are sm, buy a key online, program it yourself and go to someplace like ACE Hardware to get it cutMuch cheaper, much more reasonable and much, MUCH more honest

My daughters and myself came home around pm 11/3/to find ourselves locked outI was told it would be about minutes by the technicianI had already been waiting at least minutesmore minutes go by and I call the company (###-###-####) They apologized and said they would call tech to get ETA Tech calls me(###-###-####)and has to look at his GPS and says, "oh another minutes" I called company back and said, "I thought this was a local service"? A total of an hour and a half go by, in the cold with small children, sitting in a carThe man "John" arrives He was extremely difficult to understand as English did not appear to be his primary languageI asked him to please look at all locks and to choose the cheapest one to get into as I had doors he could have used to gain entry into the house He, in my opinion, chose the most expensive door, "oh this is a high security door", we need to use this one I disagreed with him but he didn't listen After no mo

I contacted Locksmith Connections to have them change the locks on my doorThe day the gentleman came out, he casually let me know that he could do work for us "on the side" without having to go through the companyVery unprofessionalHe then broke the doorknob so he had to replace itHe left and stated everything was fineWe continued with the home inspection with our tenant but when it was time to lock up, the door would not latchWe called the technician and he told us to use a screwdriver to remove the plate in the doorframe!! This is not what we paid him forWe should not have had to do anything to the door ourselvesWe tried calling the company different timesEach time we were advised that they would speak to him and call us backNo one ever calledAt one point we asked for our check back and never got itOn another occasion, I was hung up one and when I called back, I was placed on holdWhen they saw I was not going to hang up, the young lady got on the phone and

Showed up hours late, tech was horrible! Charged me triple the price of what the last locksmiths I used charged!! DO NOT use this company!! Rip of!

I contacted Locksmith Connections to unlock my front doorWhen I called, to set up the appointment I was told the service would cost approximate $However, when the technician arrived he simply drilled my lock (destroying it) in under minute and charged me $This did not include repairing the lockWhen I called dispatch to inquire about the charges they continued to hang up, ignore my questions and redirect my callAfter reading several reviews, I realized my experience is not 'unusual.' Unfortunately, when in a vulnerable position such as being locked out of your house in the winter, you do not have many options

We called Locksmith Connections for a quote to unlock our front door, and they told us it would be a $service charge and a $minimumWe asked if the $charge would cover the cost of unlocking our door, and we were told that it wouldAs soon as the locksmith arrived, he said that this service started at $When we called the company back, they told us that the $we were quoted was just the minimum price, and that since they were just dispatchers they didn't know how much the service would beThis is ridiculously misleading, given that the service that we described in detail that them cost a minimum of $and there is no possible scenario in which we would have been charged just $We also explicitly tried to clarify with them over the phone if it could cost more than $35, and everything they told us strongly implied that the service would not be over $
We don't have a problem with the price of the service, as everywhere else we called quoted us a price in that

I have reviewed this job over and over, and have listened to a calls for this specific jobThe sales representative did in fact inform the initial caller that the service charge was $for a technician to arrive on site and that the price to open the vehicle would start at $and go up from
there, that the technician once on site would determine the priceThe technician then continued to call the customer and unfortunately decided to take matters into his own hands and did not follow the rules we have set with our businessThat no price is to be given over the phone, and only on site once everything has been considered and he knows exactly what needs to be doneThe technician did inform the customer that it would be anywhere from $80-$100, and this is where the problem startsThere are many locksmiths and locksmith companies all with their own prices and service feesThe customer stated that last time he had locked the car he was given a different priceAgain, this is not something that you can rely on receiving the same price each time you lock yourself out, it is our experience that we provide a service to someone once in their life, and we rarely have repeat customersam not sure if this customer thought that we were the locksmith company that assisted him before or if he assumed that prices given were a flat priceDespite the problems that had arisen, we decided to go further and attempt to rectify the situationThe shift manager then talked to the customer and customer stated that he intended to only pay $40.00, we have a starting price of $and a service charge of $15.00, so we would not be able to agree to such an amountThe shift manager did try to work with the customer, informing him depending on what needs to be done, we will try to not exceed $90-$100, but the technician arriving on site would be the one that determines thatThe technician did arrive on site, and did in fact inform them of all charges and everything was agreed upon, and again after the vehicle was opened, did another problem arise.I would like to apologize to the customer for inconvenience and at of the miscommunicationI wish that he will never have to use a locksmith again, due to know personally how frustrating it can beIf the customer would like I can most certainly send me a check for the $service charge and an additional $10.00, so in total $

We needed an interior door lock opened in the evening Locksmith Connections advertised in the Apple Valley, MN area on the internet When we contacted the hour service, they sent a locksmith to open the door, after telling us there was a $service fee and $to open the lock When the person arrived, we were told it was $to open the lock He said it would not be worth his time to open the lock for $ He did open the door The advertising on the internet site is deceptive as well as their customer service--they are not a local company, but refer locksmiths in the area to customers We would never have called this service if we would have known what they were really about--we should have checked them out first Live and learn Would not recommend them to anyone

I called this past Saturday because I locked myself out of the home I was dogsitting at which unfortunately didn't have a spare key availableI called this company since they were the first to pop up on *** seemed convenientWhen I initially called in, a young lady just verified my phone number and said a tech would be in touch with meI didn't receive a quote or anything of the sort, just told someone would callA gentleman called me shortly after and said he'd arrive in minutesHe arrived and explained that if he opens the door without having to break the lock its $29, if he has to break or replace the lock its $I knew he wouldn't need to break a lock, I just locked myself out, so $isn't backSounds great right? NOHe unlocks the door in a few minutes then gives me an invoice for $238!!!! its $for coming out, $to unlock the door, and get this, $surcharge for paying with a cardI'm sorry but if you're in an emergency, who has a couple hundred dollars on

First of all it took them minutes to get to my house and once the gentleman arrived he drilled my lock to open the door and he broke the lock which was not necessary Once I got into the house and I wanted to pay him and gave him the credit card he ran the card and said it was denied twice Therefore, I gave him another credit card and the second card was also denied Then I told him something must have been wrong with his phone and then he called someone explained the situation and gave my credit card information over the phone and he said the card went through So fast forward a month later I was charged on both credit cards basically double charged I called the company they asked for a copy of the statement showing proof I was charged twice but they refuse to credit me for the extra charge The invoice shows $however, I was charged a total of $ THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM and I feel they took advantage of me and that all of my cards were fine

I called Locksmith Connections to ask them to unlock my simple turn-key lockWhen I asked for the price they said there was a $arrival fee and then the prices started at $Based on this information I expected to pay around $50, possibly more depending on how long it tookThe technician spent minutes driving to my house and minutes unlocking my doorHe charged me $This is a case of misrepresentation of priceThey say 'satisfaction is guaranteed' and their prices are, "affordable, competitive and reasonable," which none of them areI did use this technician, after he quoted me, because I had been quoted a reasonable price on the phone, had waited for him already and had someone, other than myself, who needed to get into my apartment at the time I called both when the technician was at my house and two more times afterI was not allowed to speak to a manager and the person I spoke to, Kelly, was rudeShe hung up the phone on me as I was trying to get to the botto

Locked out of my car plus needed a replacement keyI called the office and was greeted by a very sweet young lady who was able to set me up with a locksmith very quicklyThe locksmith made it out to me minutes after I called at pm on Friday in BrandywineHe was only there for minutes but for opening my car and making me a key with a transponder for my Hyundai I would consider that quickOverall the customer service was exceptional and thank you locksmith connections for saving my day!

Worst service EVER! Guy that answers the phone says approximately an hour to an hour and a half max. Technician calls and says he will be on his way and 35 minutes. An hour and a half later the technicia Guy that answers the phone says approximately an hour to an hour and a half max. Technician calls and says he will be on his way and 35 minutes. An hour and a half later, I called the technician and he apologized and said they will be here in 27 minutes. Then I get a phone call from the same guy I spoke with initially and he said the tech will be there in 40 minutes he would like my credit card number now. I told me he had to be kidding me I’m not giving my credit card number over the phone to people who aren’t even showing up! Should’ve called Pop a lock.

When I called to get quotes for someone to come and change the lock and add a deadbolt to the door the person on the phone quoted me a $service fee, and then said it would be between $29-$to come out and do thatI mentioned I was not at the house and had to get over there, so gave them the addressNothing odd yetThe person on the phone then said ok the technician is on the way, BEFORE I agreed to have them comeI told them I didn't want to pay a fee if I didn't choose to use their servicesThe guy on the phone said that was ok
I get to the home after leaving my office and the guy David quoted me $I was like whoa, thats over $more than what I was quotedA deadbolt is a deadbolt no matter what door its on, so that shouldn't be that much higherThen, he mentioned the fee that I was told would be waived NEEDED to be paidAt that point I called back and got a young lady on the phoneShe was rather irritated with me; I was trying to be super patient at this poin

Tell us why here...I understand that you would like to receive an exact price before having a locksmith come to your location to service you. I would like you to know that our locksmiths cannot give prices over the phone because they have to assess your situationThis is the professional way
to handle services that require a professional to review your situation before deciding the best method to useThere are many different methods to enter into a vehicle especially depending on the vehicle. There are also many other factors that the locksmith considers before entering the vehicle. The locksmith needs to actually look at the problem to determine the best method for enteringAll of this was explained to you in your conversations you had with dispatchWe have reviewed your conversations with dispatch. I can inform you that the dispatch stated the starting price and stated that the locksmith will give you a quote when he arrives after looking at your vehicle. You agreed to the price and had him unlock your door You stated that there were hidden fees, such as “Method” fee. We do not have hidden fees, not even a “method” feeDispatch can give you a starting price and the locksmith with quote you a price after looking at your vehicleWe are not an illegal business and once the locksmith came to you, you could have declined service if you didn’t like the price quotedI must say that our locksmiths our professional and skillful, who require training and licenses. They are skilled to open vehicles quickly without damageThey are professionals
