Locksmith Connections Reviews (294)

I absolutely adored the empathy and compassion that the representatives showed me while I was in a stressful time of need I was angry and most likely not the best to deal with , but the patience was outstandingAnd the prices , wow , I got a key made after hours and called my dealer just to inquiry what they would have charged me I saved to be exact ! I will most definitely refer , as well as utilize their services again ! Thanks everyone , great work ! If I could give more then five stars I would Thanks again !

Just as an update from below review, its almost 1 hr since I wrote the review. No body has showed up yet. They have changed 2 technicians. And still the answer is 20 MINUTES.

This is their MO and when they show up the person does't know what he is doing and get your money and do not returned to completed the job

Worst service ever. Its already been 2 hours we had asked for service. We were told 20 to 30 minutes based on traffic. Its Saturday. There is no traffic around. We are still waiting. We called their technician twice (about hour back), he said I am almost there. Now he is not picking up our call. We called their cr, he would answer their ph but not ours and then they said 20 minutes.

I will keep you guys posted to see when does he really show up. That will help you all understand what to really expect before calling them.

I have reviewed at the phone calls and emails between the customer and the dispatching office. The customer was informed that for ignition keys there is a starting price of $119.00 and a $15.00 service charge, which is for the sub-contractor to arrive on site and assess the job. I understand that...

the Customer did have her own keys purchased from believe [redacted] or [redacted], know from past experience that 50% of the time keys bought off the internet do not work, for a variety of reasons, the key not being the correct key, being defective, or for the wrong vehicle. It's my understanding the sub-contractor did provide one of his keys that he had in stock. So there was two keys cut and programmed for the total of $320. She stated in an Email that the dealer was charging a total of $169 per key, to be cut and programmed, which I am sure is the factual. However, when dealing with the dealership the vehicle needs to be with them on site. The car would have to be towed to the dealership, and you will not receive service immediately, sometimes not even the same day. For two keys from the dealership, not including towing, the total would be $338.00. Towing at the very least would cost $100, but even if the Customer had free towing, there is no comparison. We provide and Emergency service 24 hours a day. We do try to compete with the dealerships and if we can provide a service cheaper than we will.We do have a $15 service charge, the sub-contractor works for many different advertising companies and may have mixed up the service charges, all the companies have different service charges and starting prices. I would be more than happy to refund the difference. For the actual service though no one was attempting to scam anyone. It is extremely expensive to actually have this customer even call the company, and a lot goes into, Our prices are fair and are within the current market. I understand it does seem expensive, but for a 2006 [redacted], which is a high Security key, which has to be laser cut, and needs to be programmed, I believe the $320 is a fair market price.I do apologize about any miscommunication, but I can assure the customer NO ONE was attempting to take advantage of anyone. We work Nation Wide, and this price for two keys for this vehicle is accurate. Please et us know if there is anymore that we can do to attempt resolve this situationRick E[redacted]

Tell us Dear Customer, I would first like to clearly state that we are a mobile locksmith service and not a store. I am sorry to hear your disappointment about the price of the car key for your [redacted].  I must state that I am not able to fully understanding your statement, however, I understand...

that you feel that there is a pricing concern compared to a local dealer that you have contacted afterwards.  It is our profession, to provide customers a locksmith who can come to you for convenience.  Our locksmiths cannot give a price over the phone because they are in need to look at the problem in order to find a solution.  I am assuming that the dealerships that you may have contacted may also need to make price changes once they have viewed the problem after they have given a quote over the phone. Our locksmiths come to our customers, so our customers do not have to pay for a tow to the dealership.  Therefore, you should also consider the time and tow expense with the quote the dealership suggested. Based on your statement, Locksmith Connections cannot offer a refund for a [redacted] key replacement for the price you suggested.   It was difficult to understand your statement, but we found no wrong doing from the locksmith provided to you.  here...

I am glad that the technician was able to help you get back into your vehicle, and thank you for calling Locksmith Connections.  I have reviewed your phone conversation with the dispatcher, and it was clearly explained that the price starts at $35 and there would be a $15 service charge....

Unfortunately, I believe there must of been some confusion.  We never provide a final price over the phone, for the obvious reason that the technician needs to assess the vehicle and the situation first.  Once on site a total price will be provided.  This is how we have worked for the last 4 years.  Because of the poor customer service and miscommunication I can refund you the service charge of $15.Thank you again for your business, and if you should need anything else please contact us right away.Rick E.

I am rejecting this response because:

I understand a locksmith should us a tool to break into the door.   He came to the door with his cell phone and a pen.  Stood 5 feet away from the door knob and said "he could not break into the door because it was a cheap doorknob" Then asked if I had window in the back he could break into.  I told him everything was locked.

First I would like to apologize about the all the confusion and miscommunication. I did not review the initial call between the customer and dispatcher. The caller was informed of the $15 trip charge, and that the lock out of service starts at $35 and goes up from there, depending on what the...

sub-contractor decides once on site. It is true that when any credit card is used to pay for service, we do have a few extra costs for processing debit/credit cards, so that is why sometimes the sub-contractors will charge an additional $10-$20. However, because of all the confusion, what I can offer the caller is to refund the service charge of $15 and then another 10%. So I can send a check for the total of $34.

A locksmith arrived at your location to assess your situation.  There was not an agreement to perform the service.  You were charged $28 for a service charge for a scheduled appointment for the locksmith to arrive at your location to give you an assessment. A service charge is to cover...

cost for the locksmith to come to you and work to give you an assessment.  Our dispatch stated this fee over the phone prior to sending a locksmith to you.  In regards to licensing, locksmithing is not a licensed trade in [redacted]. Therefor, the locksmith had no verification to give to you.

Tell us why I understand your concern.  I would like to explain to you that your vehicle requires two special codes, called a token. These codes are expensive for the locksmith to purchase and program.  We do not price match with other companies and we are uncertain how or why other companies, such as the dealership you contacted, come up with their prices.  I would also like to explain again, that we are a mobile service, we do not advertise a store front address. I would also like to state, that our locksmiths never perform services unless it is agreed upon.  Our locksmiths evaluate the situation, quote a price, and if agreed, perform the service. ...

First I would like to thank you for using locksmith connections. I understand that maybe there was some miscommunication but when you call there is no price given other than the minimum starting price.  For the vehicle unlock service yes we have a $15 service charge and the price to unlock the...

vehicle door starts at $35. Once the locksmith arrives on site you then provides the total charge I understand you said it was less than 10 minutes but we are trying to get you back into your vehicle as quickly as possible. All of our calls are recorded between customers and the dispatch, I have reviewed your call and we did inform you of the $35 starting price I'm sorry but there was a miscommunication but again we give no flat prices over the phone due to the technician needing to assess that job before he starts.

Mr & Mrs [redacted],   I understand your concerns and read your recommended scenario.  Unfortunately saying, “and our locksmiths typically charge around $185 for this type of call” can not be said. Dispatch are not licensed and trained specialties who can negation price over the...

phone.  Our dispatch and locksmiths do not give quotes over the phone because each scenario is different depending on the circumstances, door type, lock type, etc. and need to be physically viewed by a technician. Locksmithing is not an all n one simply solution.  What is verbally said by the customer over the phone can be a completely different scenario viewed by our licensed locksmith on site. This “type” of job can start around $35 and some customers are charged this amount due to their unique situation.  We do value your concern with communication with dispatch.  We have reviewed phone records and this concern with dispatch to improve quality and to ensure customers are not feeling as if they are getting a quote over the phone.  We understand that being locked out of your house is never an ideal situation and we hope to ease your frustrations by arriving quickly to your location to get you in quickly without damaging your door. Thank you for reaching out to us and we value your concern.

Date: 12/01/2015Locksmith Connections is a locksmith advertisement referral company, with our headcounters located in Maryland. We advertise for experienced and highly qualified locksmiths in your local area. Due to the complexity of advertising, Locksmith Connections provide an opportunity for...

locksmiths to advertise themselves to be able to be in business. The locksmiths that we provide arrange the radius of what areas they are able to services. Unfortunately, the local locksmith assigned to you provided the final cost for the service he performed and the price given seems average for Kannapolis, thus not raising any concems to us about this locksmith. Since he is paying for advertisement fees, the locksmith may include that in the final price. We would like to thank you for calling us for a highly qualifying locksmith and hope that you understand this service.Regards,Avi A[redacted]Locksmith Connections

I have reviewed this issue and found that we will refund you $70 dollars due to the fact that the locksmith forgot to give you a quote.   Please understand that this is not our practice and the locksmith must have forgotten.  I will issue you a check to the address provided to the Revdex.com.  If this is incorrect, please contact me at locksmithconnections@[redacted].com.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for sending the information of the person who had the service. I am unsure why you have sent us a complaint since you are not the person serviced but I will respond to [redacted] To [redacted]:   I have reviewed the comments of the job serviced and listen to the phone recordings.  I understand that a locksmith was sent to your location to unlock your door.  He quoted you a price to open the door and you agreed to have your door open.  He used a pick tool to get you inside your home; I understand that you thought he drilled the lock. Three days later, you returned from a vacation at your parents’ house and found the lock inoperable. It seemed as if the lock worked prior to that, according to your explanation.  You called us three days later and suggested that the lock was damaged somehow by the locksmith when he picked the lock.  You stated that we “refused to connect us with the locksmith and they were abusive in their communication as we looked to have them, or the locksmith revisit the apartment” I have listen to all of the recordings and found that our supervisor had tried to call you back. She left a message and one number did not work.  You then called us back after that message and spoke to our supervisor.  I find that she was not abusive, but defensive because you placed a lot of pressure on her suggesting that the locksmith broke the lock and that we would charge you again.  The supervisor was frustrated because she never said those things and she felt as if you were putting words in her mouth.  She tried her best to be helpful and to sent you a locksmith to look at your situation.  To my understanding, the locksmith did not go to service you because he said he could not do anything.  He said that it was not a problem that occurred from what he did for you three days ago.  According to the locksmith, it is not common for a lock to break or latch to break from a lock pick.  We do not agree with the settlement since our locksmith stated that he could not have damage the lock during a lock pick and he stated that your lock issues was a separate situation. If the locksmith found an issue with his performance or products, which can happen, he would have easily return to your home to fix the concern.

I have thoroughly reviewed this job and the complaint, and really appreciate at feedback provided about your customer service experience as well as your experience with the sub-contractor on site. understand that the customer did call and speak with all three supervisors and it is to my understanding that they did not handle the issue properly, and that has been dealt with. The business manager was Contacted through email directly from the Customer and he came to a conclusion that a check for $75.00 will be sent due to the problems with the customer service and the actual service. If there is anything else more that can do to rectify the situation please let us know, and again apologize for the inconvenience and for the bad experience.R. E[redacted] **Revdex.com message** I apologize, I sent you the wrong response from the business.  He did send the right reply by fax. My apologies for the mix-up. Best, [redacted]

Ms [redacted], You have brought to my attention of a complaint in regards to advertising. I would like to confirm that the statement “it is our responsibility and oath to provide our customers with the best customer service” is not on our website.  I reviewed our website and could not find this...

statement to address your concern with advertising. I can only assume that you must have read this on another company’s website. You have furthered stated that you would like a refund for something that you felt shouldn’t have been done by the locksmith’s recommendation. Our locksmiths will not perform a service unless it was agreed upon. After the service was performed, you contacted other locksmiths for their opinions over the phone. I cannot validate the accuracy of what other locksmith companies would claim to have done with your situation, especially over the phone. Each service is unique and requires a locksmith to be on site to assess and determine the best techniques to perform the service. The locksmith provided to you assessed your situation and performed the tasked with your permission. I cannot determine if it should have been done a different way. I apologized if you have felt as if the locksmith was rude. I have personally addressed your concerns to him.

I am rejecting this response because: In California anyone working on a lock MUST BE licensed by the State, carry that license, and show it upon demand.  This company sent an unlicensed person. That is NOT LEGAL in the state of California
