Lumen Technologies Reviews (%countItem)

I was a customer of Century Link since January, 2014. I am a senior on a fix income so I decided to bundle TV, Internet, Phone, and security service with another company to save money. I was never under a contract with Century Link. When I cancelled my service on November 7, 2017, the representative said there would be an early termination fee of $200. I told the representative that I had never signed a contract for any length of time with them. He said because I had done business with them there was an early termination fee. Century link is only trying to discourage me from cancelling my service. This is an unfair practice. My account number with them was:

I have received a copy of the Revdex.com complaint filed by *** regarding a billing dispute. After investigation of ***'s account it has been found that the customer was under a promotional contract which provided her an exclusive rate for the services. Our records indicate that the service was canceled and the termination fees were waived and not charged. Centurylink apologizes for the frustration encountered. Sincerely

Bundle promotion was $89.98 for internet and cable with two year contract. Promotion ended after a year. Price jacked up to 160 a month. Twice the amount. Called and was able to get more promotions until the end of the contract. Contract ended August 2017. Price went to $130. September $160 and October $250. The lowest they could get my price without adding a contract or changing the speed or channel count was $178.98 before taxes. I still can't justify paying more than $160 and that's me trying to be understanding of their business, and that's still highway robbery. This company doesn't deserve anyone's business if they can't keep a reasonable and steady price. Their competition in same area are nowhere close to changing that much. *** here I come.

I pay for phone and internet services with Centurylink. I keep losing phone service as well as internet services. I conduct business over the internet and being without service hinders my business. I complain, they send a repairman 24 hours later and within a couple of weeks, I am without service again.

This company is horrible - Horrible customer service and horrible services. My internet goes out ever other week and they are unable to resolve this issue - it takes 7 or more days for a tech to come out and they do not show up at the correct time or date. They make promises of credits due to bad services but then do not add the credit. They will not cancel the contract even through they are breaking contract by providing unreliable connections.

Century-link fraudulently sent me to a collections department for a bill that doesn't show up anywhere on my account. I live in Denver, CO and was with Centurylink for a little over a year.

Backstory:
When I closed my Centurylink account I returned my equipment and kept a photo of the tracking label. A few months later Centurylink called to inform me that I had a bill of $146.27 that was overdue. That bill was for un-returned equipment, but the bill did not show up on my Centurylink account. After sharing my information and tracking number they agreed that I had indeed returned the equipment and I was told the account was credited $146.27 to cover the error on their end. Turns out, they never applied the credit. Also, the charge of $146.27 never showed up on my account, so I was never able to verify if a credit was applied to the erroneous bill. To this day, you can look at every bill I have on record and there is no $146.27 fee. Nobody at Centurylink has been able to find the fee in my billing record. I was told by the resolutions department that there was nothing I could have done to avoid this situation. In fact, they sent me a $155.54 check to zero out my account in September. Today (11/6/2017) I got a call from IC Systems, a debt collection company stating I owed $146.27.

After talking with Centurylink for three hours, they agreed they had made a mistake and zeroed out the debt I owed. My issue; however, is that they sent me to a collections company when I didn't even know I had a bill. Moreover, I was sent to collections for an internal billing mistake and I have been left to clean up the mess.
