Hi All,Greetings from Makemytrip.There was some technical limitation for about two hours on our India website ‘[redacted]’ as per India Standard time, on [redacted] May and only a part of the taxes was published on our website for Air France ticket. Entire base fare and major part of the taxes was not being shown on the website. Our Quality team was able to identify this error within 2 hrs when some more tickets were purchased by the customers. This was not the actual ticket cost and hence, to avoid any further issues tickets were cancelled the same day and customers informed about the same. Tickets were cancelled so that we could avoid any further issues , avoiding the actual penalties on the ticket, which could have Non-refundable or bear heavy penalties, depending upon the fare rules of the Airline based on different fare base. This was a pro-active step taken by the Organisation.As this was an error on the website, and not the actual cost of the ticket, tickets were cancelled and full refund updated. We understand, the error was on the website and there was no fault of the customers on the same hence, apart from the full refund of the ticket we have offered all our customers a benefit of INR 5000 per passenger, either he purchases the ticket with Makemytrip again or any other service providers. Above mentioned booking ID [redacted] is one of these bookings where we are giving the same resolution to customer, [redacted], a full refund along with the benefit of INR 5000 for next purchase however, he is not agreeing. Amount paid by the customer is INR 46,285 for a ticket from Delhi-Paris-Chicago and return Chicago-Paris-Delhi in business class. Actual cost of the ticket was INR 3,66,000. Please find below the snapshot of the Invoice sent with the confirmation to customer. We try to maintain complete transparency on our website and hence, invoice is sent along with the Confirmation, which shows the base fare in negative, which is not possible and shows that there was some error. Sirs, you may cross check with the Airlines and a fare of INR 46,285 is not possible for a business class ticket on the chosen route. hence, we need your intervention in getting the case closed. Thank You & Regards,Team-CustomerDelight

Post that you reached us in the month of Feb this year to check the ticket status, to which we did advise the ticket validity to be till ** Apr 15, we've also reminded that date change penalty of USD 250 along with any fare difference would be applicable to travel. Later that month you called up again for booking and denied for paying change penalty of USD 250 along with any fare difference. We did ask for Medical docs to seek any exception from the Airline but were denied any waiver from the Airline. We did inform you the same via email and on call, wherein you denied to travel due to Medical reasons and wanted refund. This time we checked with the Airline for refund but were denied for that too and we did inform you the same via email, call and on voice mail. In this series of interaction, all the terms and conditions related to the validity of the ticket, change penalty and any fare difference was advised, well in advance but there wasn't any date within the validity provided from your. This is an unsatisfactory response for me, because I have been told many times by many different operators/agents that MakeMyTrip will look into my case. But nothing is ever accomplished. Last week, when I wrote this complaint against MakeMyTrip to the Revdex.com, I also forwarded a copy of the complaint to [redacted], as well as MakeMyTrip directly. I received an e-mail response 3 days later from a MakeMyTrip agent stating that my "Case has been Closed". I did not receive a call from the [redacted] or [redacted], nor does anyone from MakeMyTrip look further into my case to see that I still have a return ticket Pending. I received a response from [redacted] that I have to deal with the Travel Agent directly. They also clearly stated in their letter that my ticket is still valid for upto 1 year from the date of issue. I am attaching a copy of the letter I received from [redacted].
This is very frustrating, and I am completely dissatisfied with MakeMyTrip. I want everyone to be warned that this company is not reliable. They do not follow through with what they say. And they have many other unresolved complaints against them.

Review: I was never informed that the route involves budget airlines (ie) does not provide food with the ticket I purchased. I got so many emails which says your itinerary got cancelled and it was horrible experience dealing with customer service everytime I called. I might have called makemytrip may be 10 to 15 times to get the clarification about the cancellation emails. More over at the airport in Dubai, I had to spend almost an hour and half with the airlines agents to resolve the issue of my tickets. Airlines said they did not find my booking first place and I had to deal with airlines staff to resolve it. My itinerary was changed after 2 months of ticket purchase and a stop was added to my itinerary. When I purchased the ticket my return iternery is like this HYD --> DEL --> EWR --> ATL. A month before the travel date the iternery looks like this HYD --> BOM --> DEL --> EWR --> ATL. I called makemytrip to see if they can find an alternate so that I don't have to make an extra stop. makemytrip did not help the customer in any manner and more over they said any changes are not allowed. I am really frustrated with the way makemytrip is doing business. Review: I booked an overseas trip for my family thru makemytrip by phone and the booking was done within 48 hours before the trip because of emergence of situation. I found way lower fares within few hours in [redacted] and asked makemytrip customer service to refund the difference because of their low fare guarantee policy. I filed the claim thru email with screenshots of fares from [redacted]. I called their customer service immediately to review the claim so it can be processed properly. They pretended that they can't track the claim and also didn't give me clear instructions of information needed for processing the claim. Meantime, the trip happened and then I received an email from makemytrip saying that the screenshots are not sufficient since the screenshots didn't have a date and timestamp of my computer on them.Desired Settlement: Below are the fare differences for each of my family member:

For my wife, [redacted] price is $1357.2, makemytrip's is 1685.

For my son, [redacted] price is $1110.2, makemytrip's is 1525.

Under low price guarantee, makemytrip has to pay the difference $1209.88 back to my credit card.

Review: I made a Three Bookings for me, My wife, and The kids in three Separate bookings cause my family was back home In Saudi Arabia, and I had to book for my self to meet them In New York Airport and bring them back with me to Seattle.

For my Family's booking, They made to the Airport but got refused to get on board because The laws in Saudi Arabia says that a spouse cannot travel by herself unless have a permission made by the Husband in the passport Agency which I wash't aware of because we travel together always. I talked to the Representatives in makemytrip by phone and by email and they returned me less than half of what I payed. Although, it says in the terms on the E-ticket that If cancelled at the day of travel, they will charge a $100 for each passenger.

For my Bookings, I have made first a Non- refundable booking that Will get me to NewYork JFK at 3 Pm which would be after three Hours of my Families arrival time which was 11:30am and Wife cannot handle three kids by herself. So, I called them again after two hours and I explained that I got to be in JFk before my family arrival time, and I explained to them that I made a my non refundable Booking and they said it's fine as long as you change your booking before 12 hours of flight time. And, they said that they will refund me with full ticket price except for $20 process charges. But, I have to make a new booking and with a new payment and that they processed my refund for the other ticket and that I'll receive a mail with ticket refund. So, I made the new booking that would get me at 6 am in JFK and this ticket is non refundable too.

So, in the next day my wife called me and told me that They refused to board her and the kids on the flight because of the permission, so I called make my trip right away and told them about the issue and it was 4hours prior to the flight time in Departure local time, and they said that they will charge me for no show, and that they will refund me with a $900 something out of $2300 something and I told them that I should get my ticket full refund except for the charges they make for each passenger "100 for adults" and it should be less for the other three passenger which are one kid and two infants one that is a year and a half, and the other is six months. and, they told me that we will return the money ($900 something ) and then try to resolve the other issue which is to show what are the conditions that a spouse cannot travel by her self without the husband's permission and they will act accordingly.

I didn't go to NewYork obviously because I have nothing to do there but to meet my family whom end up not able to board on that flight. So, I end up going back to Saudi Arabia and pick my family my self and made the permission in the Passport agency which include fingerprints for future use.

So, Since I came back with my family on Oct, ** 2014 and up to now, I'm calling them, sending them Emails and All I hear from them Is give us 24 hrs, give us 48 hrs, give us 72 hrs and will update you and nothing, and for the calls it's the same 24, 48, 72 hrs, and one time they told me that the refund process would take 21 business days to be in your account, and I called them during that time and after it and it's always the same with them " we apologize for the delay, but you have to give us 24 hrs and we will update you by call or by email" and that we are waiting for the higher management for the approval.

One time, I received a call from Unknown number on my phone and when I answered, the guy told me my name and that he's from make my trip. and, he said to me would you take half of the ticket price and I told him no. I payed almost $5500 on tickets that I didn't use and all I got back is $900 something.Desired Settlement: I want to get a double of my full refund for all the three tickets prices because I have explained my situation to them, and they weren't helpful by any means whether it's a mail or phone calls. and, I'm a student that has a family and senior which caused me and my family to go in debts for others in order to pay for the expenses, and school.

I don't want any other person to go through this experience again with them, cause I cannot imagine anyone would be calling back and forth for five months without any sense or petty for your reasons. I mentioned in one of the email that I need the money ASAP to pay for my school tuitions, and the same response every time.

I purchased a ticket to india from [redacted], they advertised that they would provide tickets for the price less than the airliner.I purchsed the ticket at 1312$,but later realized that the same ticket cost was 1212$ on the official emirates website. I raised a ticket regarding the same with the site.They asked me to provide a screen shot with the system timing in a non editable document,which I did.

After the sent the document they said they would look into it,but after that I did not hear back from them.I sent more than 3 remainders regarding this,I have also raised a complaint on the company website which was acknowledged by a auto email ,after that I did not get any response.

Review: I made a reservation with Make My Trip for my parents to visit to USA. The reservation was made on April [redacted], 2014 and the travel dates were May **, 2014. However due to unforeseen circumstances ( my father had [redacted] on May [redacted] and eventually he expired on May [redacted] 2014) I had to cancel the reservation. We had requested them to cancel the tickets on medical grounds. I provided all the medical records of the incidence via email/telephonic calls. All the time,I were advised to wait for 24 hrs or call us after 24 hrs and wait for decision from airlines or our system is down. They were very unresponsive of this matter or their response was delayed at times . The correspondence between me and Make My Trip went over for almost a month . My wife also called them frequently and wasted around 20-22 hrs on this case since I was in India to take care of my father. They charged me $ 710 for cancellation charges on the pretext of airline cancellation. They even dared to say that "you have to pay no show charges in addition to airline cancellation charges and our cancellation charges". Me and my wife spoke to Virgin Atlantic and their Customer Service Representative confirmed of no charge in the case of death. My wife called make my trip to be on conference call with Virgin Atlantic to clarify as suggested by [redacted] (ext [redacted]) but they denied to be on call saying that system is down. As discussed with [redacted] (ex [redacted]) regarding eTicket # [redacted] and [redacted], it was confirmed that airline is not charging any cancellation fee for these tickets. However make-my-trip (booking agent) claimed that airline is not approving the waiver and therefore they are going to charge $355 per ticket and at last I had to pay $ 710.

I believe Make My Trip has cheated me in this case and has provided unfair and unprofessional services.Desired Settlement: Refund of $ 710

Review: I made a reservation for travel US[redacted] on July [redacted] As per the customer service changes to this ticket were possible for a charge of $325 and any changes in the ticket price Since July [redacted] I have been on the phone with the consultants for 1hr each on 3 different occasions. 1) 1st call. they have the dates avaialable but no fares so they cannot make the changes 2) 2nd call the dates are available for a total cost of (325 + 150) but their computer system is down, please call in 6 hrs 3) 3rd call the changes were agreed upon (325 + 125) but the link that was sent for payment did not work please call in 4hrs and no supervisor was avaialable to resolve the issue Complaint Reference:[redacted] was opened and closed without satisfactory resolution. Review: My brother expired in India and we purchased a ticket from MakeMyTrip for next day. We received the email confirmation. After couple of hours, we purchased another ticket from MakeMyTrip from same flight. When we reached airport, the second ticket was confirmed but the first ticket was not. When we called MakeMyTrip from the airport, the representative told us after putting us on hold for over 30 minutes "Sir, we are happy to offer you full refund". The response was same no matter what we say. Under these circumstances, we had to request the airlines to accommodate us based on the fact that there was a death in the family. We received a note from MakeMyTrip offering to pay the difference in fare but never heard back when we mentioned that the currency is Dollar and not Rupee.Desired Settlement: We need MakeMyTrip to pay the difference in costs ($218.35) that we incurred due to non-issuance of ticket and not informing us about it on time and compensate for pain and suffering caused by MakeMyTrip.

I would furter like to explain that it is a rare occurrence where we are dependent on suppliers for issuance.

Review: I made a reservation for flight from atlanta to hyderabad through phone. For 2 adults and 1 kids they charged me $3302 but when I checked with other vendors I found a better price $2775 .I called them and requested to cancel the ticket with in 24 hrs .first they said they will charge $400 per each ticket to cancel but when I showed there terms and conditions stating we cancel with 24 hrs they offered the lowest fare gurantee option where in they requested to send the documents to verify and refund the difference amount. I clearly asked them if I wait for your response it may take 24 to 48 hrs and I will loose the privilage to cancel the tickets with in 24 hrs.they said they will do some thing.now I have sent all the supporting documents from another vendor and they are saying the documents are not sufficient to refund the difference amount .when. They claim to promise a refund of $632.00 but have yet to get my my money. I have been waiting and calling consistently for over 9 months now. I have noticed that this is a complaint that many of their customers have and I don't understand how it is taking this long for me to get my money back.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund and I also want this company investigated for false practices.

BREAK MY TRIP hits my mind when I hear About Make my trip

Despite booking 6 months in advance they goofed up on my trip both ways . On reaching the Columbus airport was in for a rude shock .The e-ticket provided by make trip did not match the ticket details on the [redacted] system . After almost a 30 mins of being put on hold got hold of them this followed by another 1 hrs plus of conversation with them . Finally they told me to book the ticket myself and they would refund . It's been a month plus of constant follow up and yet have not been refunded .

As if this was not enough my return trip was a bigger nightmare . Until a day before they assured me everything was per schedule and on they day of my Flight they called me up stating unintentionally someone from their team CANCELLED my flight .

I called the airways and they informed me that Makemy trip cancelled my ticket 2days prior itself . Finally left with no option had to come by some other airlines not

Per my liking .

Their Customercare is Pathetic .Lots of wait time, extremely rude, also they keep on giving u false assurances and try to delay hoping you get fed up .

I made the following reservations on July [redacted] 2015 and Manpreet S[redacted] of make my trip helped me to book the same.

Booking Reservation #1: [redacted],

Fare Issue: I was charged $875 (USD) for this ticket, where as the e-mail confirmation I got from [redacted], shows a charge of INR 45,808, which is approximately $725. I would like to know why I was charged ~$150 more and the same amount need to be refunded.

Booking Reservation #2: [redacted] Fare Issue: I was charged $1620 (USD) for this ticket, where as the e-mail confirmation I got from [redacted], shows a charge of INR 100,357, which is approximately $1585. I would like to know why I was charged ~$35 more and the same amount need to be refunded.

I sent the above information to [redacted] and Mr. Manpreet S[redacted] on July [redacted] including the confirmation e-mails with correct fare information that I received from [redacted] airlines and I didn't get any response as on date. I also sent a follow-up e-mail on July [redacted] and no response again. I have also checked [redacted] website on July [redacted] and above mentioned lower fares were still available.

I request Makemytrip to review the above information and credit the excess fare they charged me. I really appreciate a quick resolution to the above issues.

Please advise if you need any additional information.
