I applied for a loan on Thursday, Feb 1stI received an email telling me I was denied same dayI responded to the email question what may have caused the denialReceived another email stating I would receive a packet with the explanation in the next daysStating that I could reapply in daysSo Went to my bank and got the loan, no problem and better rateOn monday Feb 5th, I get a notification from my bank that a direct deposit was made to my account from Webbank for the amount of the loan is applied for minus a $origination feeI immediately called to get the loan removed/canceledI was informed that the loan well be canceled and I will not be responisble for ANYTHINGI asked how can I get emails saying declined than all of the sudden money in my account? I asked for an explaination, of course could not provide oneI asked for an email confirmation of the convesation and stating I was free and clear from all obligations of the loanI was told they could not provi

I received a pre-approval for a debt consolidation loan They requested ID copy, years most recent tax returns I submitted all documents I received a call from the company I had submitted and tax returns is under legal extension for filing All of a sudden they said that if the tax return is not available, I would have to provide a CERTIFIED Financial Statement from a CPA Um, any idea how expensive that is to take out a measly $15,loan - you need to pay $5,to the CPA for a certified statement? Does that make any sense at all?? I can understand if I'm taking out a big loan or a mortgage or something but for a $15,personal loan to request a $5,audited financial statement is absolutely insane I offered to provide my full year bank statements so they can see how much income I have but they said the certified statement is the only thing that is acceptable The requirements on the site are extremely misleading The rep acknowledged that it was not "clear" on the website Honestly, if the requirements had been clearly stated, I would not have applied for the loan and have to take the credit inquiry on my credit score However, now I have an inquiry and if I knew that I would need a CERTIFIED financial statement in lieu of a tax return which is not legally due yet, I would NOT have applied She said, well, since you're a self employed business, the processing is a little different I can understand that - however, it needs to be disclosed because this type of information would absolutely impact a person's decision as to whether to submit the application I immediately withdrew the application and I am left with an extremely poor opinion on this company because while I understand the company's requirements for self employed people, it should have been clearly stated on the website Had I known that I would require an audited financial statement or my return, I would have maybe applied at a later time when I finished with the tax filing OR perhaps opted not to deal with the company In any event, I would have made my decision with full disclosure of the requirements Overall, I am not giving them a negative because my application was deniedI am giving them a negative review due to failure to disclose and to have misleading representations on their website regarding the documentation and underwriting process
