As mentioned, I was compelled to take a flight to New York instead of Washington DC as Etihad Airways had not made any arrangements for my stay in Abu Dhabi which includes hotel accommodation. I had been made stand in the lounge for 16 hours without any facilities provided. I reject the explanation given by Etihad Airways.

this is very inconnvicenct for me and very unporfessional becasue I never recvd any email or mail at my house stating that they are changeing thier policy and that how they will loose thier customer but they could have given me a one time credit to me to make their customer happy and they are very expensive on thier fares line

it does not address what Etihad representatives told me about my ticket.  Etihad had previously assured me on the phone that my open ticket would be valid for a year from the date of the "RETURN".

This affected their ongoing flights and the overbooking meant they were not able to travel as you had planned. [redacted] and his family each received travel vouchers (USD300 for the adults and USD150 for the kids) ; these vouchers are non-cashable however it is valid for one year from the date it was issued. They can use the Voucher when booking travel, at anEtihad Sales Officenearest to them presenting the Voucher number. Etihad Airways has sent me a standard template answer. Clearly they did not read the initial complaint because I CLEARLY stated my questions to then. Their "one size fits all" standard answer is not acceptable, and I refuse to let this resolve in this manner. Etihad Airways has treated their customers unfairly, and they need to own up to their actions.
