Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/06/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
1. I still very strongly suspect that there was some type of clerical error on the original biller's end, because I never received any indication of debt owed from them, nor have I visited an emergency room within the stated timeframe. I have used other Good Samaritan doctors so I know they would have access to my insurance information. I also feel that my insurance should not have been charged.
2. Even if I was to pay this company money I DO NOT OWE to be done with this nightmare and restore my good name, their response does not indicate total amount owed and doesn't even make sense. Please refrain from using shorthand and please clearly display how you are calculating these said charges. Medical Business Bureau continues to give me half answers and refuses to provide me with true details that would assist in sorting this matter out. I cannot in good faith contact them to assist in this matter any further, every other attempt has been futile and has left me frustrated and feeling abused as a consumer. They have gone so far as to threaten me on these calls and I will not engage in that type of behavior.
As such, MBB needs to write off this debt on their end and remove the negative reports to all three major credit bureaus.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/06/26) */
We have cancelled the accounts and requested that they be removed from the consumer's credit file.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2014/06/26) */

Thank you, please be sure to remove the negative information from all three bureaus. Can you please share what the timeline is for me to see the items removed?

Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2014/09/10) */
The business has not provided a...

letter, printed on paper and delivered via U.S.P.S., stating that this debt was not owed by me and was paid by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois.
I will not consider this resolved until I get the letter.
My apologies for the delay but more pressing matters came up.
Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2014/09/10) */
We have sent the consumer a letter informing her the account has been paid.
Business Response /* (2000, 16, 2014/09/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
On September 16 I received a mailed piece from Medical Business Bureau, LLC. Rather than a letter, it was a statement, dated September 15, 2014, showing principle, interest and total due of $.00. On the reverse side it showed seven line items, each with a 'total due' of $17.29. This is not what I wanted but at this point I think it's the best that can be expected. Considering the bill had been paid by the insurance company months before this was sent to collections it is disappointing.

The account is for [redacted] in the amount of 328.74 for services on May 9, 2016 The original amount of the account was 1,531.00 insurance paid 151.79 and and adjustment of 1,050.47was taken. We sent a letter regarding the consumer's dispute to them on April 3, 2017. The consumer may...

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /*...

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They're attempting to do what I want, but the collection has since been re-added to my credit report. The credit bureau told me that MBB requested that it be added as paid/closed on 7/11/14 after they had previously deleted it.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 26, 2014/07/22) */
We have requested that they be deleted electronically We are reporting the account over & over again.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 15, 2014/07/21) */
[redacted] told me that in order to verify the debt deletion by phone, they need someone from MBB to call them at [redacted] (press 3 to speak with a representative). I called XXX-XXX-XXXX with this information and [redacted] told me that they will not call [redacted] They have "already done their part by requesting that it be removed last month and they won't do any more". [redacted] does not have a removal request on file from MBB, only a request to mark the account as paid.
MBB suggested that I call [redacted] and initiate a 3-way call to verify the deletion over the phone. [redacted] said they are only able to accept verficiation if MBB calls that number or if they receive a deletion request electronically in response to my filed dispute.Even if I initiated a 3-way call myself, they wouldn't be able to delete the collection.
According to [redacted], MBB replied to my last dispute on 7/14/15 verifying that the account belonged to me and should be marked as paid. Somehow the account isn't being marked for deletion by MBB.
I think I've spoken with just about every rep at MBB and none of them care about this issue. [redacted] is only going off of what they're being told by MBB. I haven't received a response from MBB regarding this in weeks. I need help with this from someone! I want to be contacted by someone at MBB!
