I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Nobody where I signed up explained the rate or provided a fkyer/brochure.  Additionally, the company has large bill boards advertising 9.99 per month.  It=f the verbiage about the rate is n the billboard, the average consumer, which I am would never see it.  The billboards are deceivng.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], due to new facts I am cancelling the appointment.In addition I would like to state that I went for a second opinion to our carshop of 15 years in Ithaca. I was told that they had never seen any like it. But the initial damage could have come from the power wash, however the continuous peeling still increasing in the heat, has to do with poor workmanship at a body shop in Buffalo. They will repair the damage at no cost.As a customer of car wash shops, I would feel better if there is a warning that "repaired or repainted parts might get damaged with the prewash". Why it happened now and not years earlier, could have to do with the heat.

I only go through Delta Sonic car wash with my truck and I had no scratches on it when I bought the truck at the end of Dec.2015 brand new. I did buy the unlimited car wash. I have gone through three locations( Greece,Irondequoit and Henrietta) so i`m not sure which one it happened at or when it happened because I do not check every time I go through. I have noticed that at the Irondequoit location that the curtains at the start of the wash hits the mirrors. These are heavy rubber curtains that are used in the winter to keep the cold out and opens automatically when a car enters. On Saturday 5/15/16 at 11:00 am. I had a visit with the regional manager and he did look at the scratches and took more pictures and was going to do a follow up. He also took pictures of the two estimates I received from the two collisions shops.

extended the offer for our Detail Shop to buff-out the area in question.  An appointment can be scheduled with the Detail Shop at the customer's convenience.  We will also issue a service refund in the amount of $137.96 and sent directly to the customer.

So this is not an acceptable solution.As for the fact the business says that they sweep side to side. That motion is sort of restrictive in my car because I have a souvenier right on the middle of the dashboard.  The personnel at the business tried to show me how they do it from side to side and in that motion he ripped out the souvenir. That is a very good indication why the person would have used a vertical motion rather than a side to side motion hence creating the scratch. I will accept any form of solution that will get the scratch out of the windscreen.

We fully appreciate the customer's concerns and have thoroughly investigated  the circumstances concerning the incident that was reported.  Our investigation and visual inspection by the Site Supervisor indicates the damage in question is not consistent with the services performed at Delta...

Sonic.  If the claimant truly feels the claim was not handled fairly, we would be willing to have our General Manager of Automotive Repair inspect the vehicle and reassess the claim.  The inspection would take place at Delta Sonic's Auto Body & Restyling Center and an appointment can be made by calling 1-844-4DS-AUTO.

We are still willing to offer an inspection with a licensed insurance adjuster.  We would require this inspection to determine if the part is in fact defective/faulty.

location, it has become quite evident that we are unable to meet your customer expectations. There have been numerous reports of dissatisfaction and also reports of derogatory comments made to our employee's.  The Manager on Duty as well as the Detail Shop Supervisor inspected the vehicle after the service on the date in question.  The Manager and Supervisor each confirmed that the service was performed properly and up to Delta Sonic's standards. As we have several reports of this complainant making claims to receive free services, we cannot offer a refund at this time.

We fully understand the customer's concerns and have carefully considered this complaint.  The photos submitted with the customer's claim report do not show any paint transfer on the bumper.  If there is in fact any additional damage, we would be more than happy to cover the repairs....

 Our records indicate the claimant spoke with one of our representatives on 4/25/17 and stated she would return to the location so that we could take photos of the additionally claimed damage.  To date, the customer has not returned.  If it is more convenient for the claimant to email photos to us, they can be sent to [email protected].  Unfortunately, the DMV will not issue a replacement license plate to us.  The replacement plate would have to be issued directly to the claimant.  We are certainly willing to issue reimbursement for the replacement plate.  Once the photos are received, we can proceed with claim processing.  Thank you.

Our records indicate the complainant was contacted by our Detail Shop Manager and he will be returning to the location for a refund and any needed touch-ups.

At this time, our preliminary investigation indicates it is very unlikely the damage in question was caused at Delta Sonic.  Our records indicate a courtesy Scratch Repair Service was completed at our Detail Shop on 6/27/16.  This service was offered as a customer courtesy and did not...

constitute acceptance of liability for any portion of the original claim.  As the complainant did not find this offer acceptable, a meeting with our Site Supervisor was scheduled for 7/11/16 to have the claim re-evaluated.  The customer failed to arrive for the scheduled appointment. If the complainant would like to re-schedule this appointment, he may contact our office at [redacted].  Our notes with this complainant’s file indicate he treated the last representative he spoke with very disrespectfully and advised the representative to “rot in Hell.”  This type of treatment will not be tolerated, and if the complainant continues to affront our employees, we will have to respectfully reject any offer to schedule a meeting with the Site Supervisor.

We appreciate the customers concerns regarding this incident however; our investigation and visual inspection by our Site Supervisor strongly indicates that the damage was the result of a pre-existing condition.  Normally the paint finish on a vehicle, if properly applied and in sound...

condition, will not be affected by the Car Wash or pre-spray process.  The only time a problem may occur is when the paint has lost adhesion creating a peeling, bubbled or flaking condition.Although the primary cause of damage may be one of these pre-existing conditions, in the interest of customer goodwill, we are willing to issue a check to the customer in the amount of $150.00 in the event the damage was further aggravated at Delta Sonic.

We have thoroughly investigated the circumstances concerning the incident reported.  Our conveyor is specifically designed to make it practically impossible to damage a tire as described on the customer's claim.  The only way a tire might become damaged is if a section of the metal...

conveyor rail is broken, causing a protruding sharp edge.  Our manager has assured us his inspection of the rail did not reveal this condition to be present.  Certainly if it were, other vehicles on the line would have had similar damage.  In the past, our investigations have revealed that damage such as that described in the claim, was the result of curb or pothole contact.  In the interest of customer goodwill, we will make arrangements to have the tire replaced through our Oil Change & Maintenance Department, at our Main St. location.  Please expect a phone call from our Supervisor to make arrangements for the replacement.

Sonic found a dishonest way to not pay the bill. They claim that they will only pay what they want. Also know as in Sonic's terms of fair market value. That is false, Sonic determines what they feel they should pay and call it fair market! Sonic's determination of fair market value by claiming that the parts to repair damages should be used parts obtained from a junk yard to keep the price down. This is rediculas and all Sonic customers should know that if their vehicle gets damaged, that Sonic will not pay for a proper repair. Sonic's claim department claim guy was extremely rude and short temporeded It was a very frustrating experience and all Sonic customers should know what to expect if their vehicle gets damaged. Sonic customers should know that Sonic will not pay for your vehicle to be repaired properly. That's the truth and that's the bottom line. They would only correspond this information over the phone.  Sonic claims guy was smart enough to NOT put that information in a email but that is exactly what transpired and I have documented it in my claim to you. So Sonic will divert the real issue with making statements that they would pay. What they are not telling you is that they will only pay for used parts. They know that it would cost the consumer more to sue them than it would be for the customer to just pay the bill to have their vehicle repaired properly with new parts. Who wants their car fixed with junk parts? All Sonic customers need to know this.
