Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr [redacted] concerns We have two accounts under Mr [redacted] name from the hospital One for $and one for $ After speaking to the hospital about these accounts, they have agreed to close the account for $ We have deleted this account from the credit bureaus Please be aware that sometimes it takes the credit bureaus a few days to process the changes to their database The other account is the result of an unmet deductible The $is the balance after the insurance payments and adjustments We are sending Mr [redacted] a copy of the account statement so he can verify this with his insurance company The $is still due and will remain on his credit report We will be happy to work with Mr [redacted] with a manageable payment plan if needed [redacted] PresidentMerchants' Credit Guide Co

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me It should be noted that I have NEVER received any itemized statements from Merchant's credit guide and calls to [redacted] has failed to provide proper validation of the alleged chargesI appreciate the removal of this account from my credit report and will keep an eye out for the original signed agreements and follaccordinglyI request of a copy of the documentation sent to the Credit reporting agencies for deletion-primarily [redacted] Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter Sincerely, Shondelle [redacted]

Upon further inquiry with our client, they have agreed to recall the account and adjust the balance to zeroWe are taking steps to remove this collection item from Ms [redacted] credit report and will send her a letter of confirmation of the removal

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/03/26) */ Thank you for the opportunity to address Mr [redacted] 's complaintFirst, I would like to set the record straightI have reviewed the telephone calls with Mr [redacted] and the letters that were sent to himNever was he offered or promised to have the trade line deleted or removed from his credit report upon paymentHe was told it would be updated as paid in fullMr [redacted] paid the account on 10/28/and it was updated as paid in full with the credit bureaus on 11/17/When Mr [redacted] called us on 3/24/15, he demanded the trade line be deletedThe call was escalated to a supervisor whom Mr [redacted] was yelling at and speaking to in a way no one should, so she ended the callThe supervisor escalated the complaint to the manager who later called Mr [redacted] to explain the situationMr [redacted] answered the call and responded yelling and using inappropriate language and hung up on the managerThe manager called that one time, and not again Mr [redacted] apparently does not understand that when an account goes to collection, a separate "collection" trade line can be reported Nevertheless, in the interest of consumer relations, we have deleted the trade line and sent Mr [redacted] a letter confirming the deletion [redacted] President Merchants' Credit Guide Company

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI am upset with the fact that it took years for thos tp be removed and the amout of time I spent calling back and forth and finally having to take time out of my schedule to file this complaint against Merchants Credit with the *** Sincerely, [redacted] C***, Jr [redacted] ***

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Ms [redacted] concerns Upon receipt of the complaint, we asked the provider to review the eligibility of Ms [redacted] coverage When they researched the payor's system, they found that Ms [redacted] has two IDs with the payor One did not show eligibility and the other showed the claim was eligible The payor is now billing the claim under the ID # that shows Ms [redacted] claim was eligible Our client has asked us to return the claim from our system, close the account and delete the collection item from Ms [redacted] credit report On 5/20/16, we closed the account and deleted the item from her credit reportA letter confirming this deletion will be sent to Ms [redacted] [redacted] President Merchants' Credit Guide Co

[redacted] University in Columbus, Ohio, will not release my transcripts as they claim I owe Merchants over $7,for classes that I never tookI left ***, and cancelled the classes I had scheduled when my mother became ill and hospitalized in a different city, hours from schoolI made all the necessary phone calls to cancel classes before they startedI have contacted my attorney and we are prepared to follow through with the necessary filings

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/09/24) */ Thank you for the opportunity to address Ms [redacted] 's complaintUpon receipt of the complaint I immediately checked with our client to see if they ever received any money from a personal injury lawsuitAs of 9/22/15, they have not received any money towards these now self-pay balancesI will send a copy of the statement we received from our client to Ms [redacted] If Ms [redacted] can provide me with her attorney's name and number, I will be happy to make a call to confirm the status of the lawsuit For the record, we are Business Associates with our client and therefore are able to receive and use for the purpose of payment of the accountWe are in complete compliance with HIPAA XXX-XXX At this point, we are unable to delete the trade lines from Ms [redacted] 's credit bureau reportsHowever, if she can show that she won her personal injury case, we will delete our trade lines immediately Dan [redacted] President Merchants' Credit Guide Company

A few years ago, I was involved in a hit and run accident and both my son and I were injured in the accidentI filed a claim with the insurance company and they were responsible for paying the medical claimsShortly after, I received a medical bill and in good faith I paid the $bill even though the insurance company was responsibleThe person I spoke with told me this was not reported to the credit agencies and I'm in now in the process of buying my first homeI'm very responsible and take my credit seriously, but as a result of this "paid" collection that's on my credit report, I'm being told I cannot buy a home for my familyIn my opinion, this malicious type of behavior is not right, and I will be filing a formal complaint with the consumer financial protection bureau, the states attorney generals office & the FTC as Merchants Credit Guide has violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act, unless [redacted] remedies the situation

Ms [redacted] account for $has been paid down to $ Unfortunately, one of the payments received on 12/28/for $to pay the balance off was returned NSF There is a $charge for NSF checks The balance remains at $40.55: $for the account balance and $for the NSF fee On the other accounts she refers to, she was sent copies of these bills twice, the first time on 10/25/and the second time on 9/26/ At the time services were received, there was no insurance coverage provided She may need to double check whether she was covered on the dates of service or whether she can still provid the insurance information at the time of service If the insurance was not provided at the time of service, it may be past the required time to file a claim, thus causing the accounts to be moved to a self-pay status We remain happy to work with Ms [redacted] to work out a manageable payment schedule or answer any further questions to resolve these accountsDan [redacted] , PresidentMerchants' Credit Guide Company

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr [redacted] concerns Contrary to Mr [redacted] account of his allegations, we have not had a conversation with Mr [redacted] about these accounts since At that time he said he was unemployed and cannot pay On 6/21/10, he called and asked if he could receive some financial assistance from the hospital at which time we directed him to talk to the hospital to see what he might be eligible for On 8/4/10, we spoke to him again and he said he had no income and could not make any payment at that time Now he claims there was insurance that should have paid everything? Recently on 2/17/17, we received a dispute letter and stated he refused to pay Now, more recently, on 4/20/17, days ago, we received a letter asking for verification on all the accounts placed with our company for collection We are currently gathering all the account information to respond to this last request As soon as we have it all, we will mail it to Mr [redacted] to the address provided in this complaint Upon receipt, we will wait for Mr [redacted] call to resolve these matters and come up with a manageable plan As for Mr [redacted] HIPAA concerns, we are a contracted Business Associate of each of the clients we represent There have been no violations of Mr [redacted] protections under HIPAA The reporting of Mr [redacted] accounts to the credit bureau is accurate and within the rules set forth in the Fair Credit Reporting Act

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr [redacted] 's concern Our company, Merchants' Credit Guide Company is completely independent from *** In 2008, [redacted] placed an account for collection with our company for Mr [redacted] In 2010, they recalled the account We no longer have the account for collection Any collection trade lines placed on Mr [redacted] 's credit reports by our company have long been removed We have no authority to cancel the debt and no control over ***'s transcript policy Therefore, we are unable to help Mr [redacted] achieve his desired settlement Any resolution would have to come directly from *** Dan [redacted] , President Merchants' Credit Guide Company

Ms [redacted] account of her experience with our company is completely inaccurate Ms [redacted] has two accounts placed for collection with our company, one since 12/17/and the other since 8/11/ After several attempt to contact her by mail and telephone, the first response we received from Ms [redacted] was in the form of a complaint filed with the CFPB on 11/11/claiming she has asked us repeatedly for validation of the debts Again, we never received any response or request from Ms [redacted] until this CFPB complaint In response to that complaint, we sent her the required account documentation that included itemized statements of each account and the signed consent to treatment and admissions agreement We have NOT received this correspondence back as undelivered Now she has file an additional complaint with the CFPB and the Revdex.com claiming she never received the information after repeated attempts requesting the information She requested we upload the information to the CFPB complaint portal Because of the sensitive nature and personal health information included in the documentation, we cannot do that I have asked Ms [redacted] if we could email the documentation to her private email address I never received a response Today, I am sending certified mail - which I am not required to do under the law - the account documentation to Ms [redacted] at the address provided in her complaintsWe are not in violation of any laws nor any rights of Ms [redacted] under the laws she inaccurately cites She is using the Revdex.com and the CFPB to try and bully us into deleting these items from her credit report [redacted] , PresidentMerchants' Credit Guide Company

Ms [redacted] has done business with our client, [redacted] Avenue We are a contracted collection agent for [redacted] Avenue and we were sent Ms [redacted] account because she has not paid for the merchandise she received [redacted] Avenue is the original creditor and current owner of this debt She is welcome to pay [redacted] Avenue directly, or she can pay Merchants' Credit Guide Company Either way, she remains responsible for payment of this account
