Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
As for the open account for April 16, for $362.00, I also had insurance at that timeI am going to contact my insurance company once again to see what resolution they can reach in resolving this account
Sincerely,

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/03/04) */
Thank you for the opportunity to address Mr *** concernsWhen we spoke to Mr***, we informed him that the settlement of $was pending approval from our clientUnfortunately, our client would only approve the
amount of $We are not at liberty to accept settlements less than what our client authorizesUpon learning of the higher settlement amount, we immediately reversed the credit card charge of $Due to the circumstances, upon payment of the $(we will waive the $fee) we will delete the negative report from the credit bureausIf Mr*** needs to make partial payments to get this paid off, we can certainly accommodate a reasonable payment schedule

Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2014/03/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was NOT informed that $settlement was contingent upon clients approvalWhen I asked for a lower settlement amount, the representative told me, "...this is what we are allowed to offer sir, 20% and that's it.' Nowhere in our conversation we talked about a need for any approval
This makes no sense, if the amount offered to me was not an approved amount, why would you run my debit card for that amount? So you can reverse it later and ask me for more money? I appreciate the offer to accommodate a payment plan but, I would rather pay the balance in full, $and clear my negative reporting as initially promised
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/03/11) */

Merchants Credit Guide has placed several collections on my credit reports from all credit agenciesI called this agency several times to ask why noticed wasn't given and that I don't owe any hospital billsIt was all covered by my insurance and co-paysI gave my information and asked them to validate the debt by providing me the information from the hospitalAfter speaking with representatives and treated rudely, I sent a certified letter stating the same and that were in violation of HIPPA Laws because I never authorized anyone outside of the hospital to receive anything dealing with my informationI'm asking that these accounts be removed immediately or legal action will be taken upon the company for reporting and breaking FCRA LawsThe following are the account numbers that are showing up on my credit files and the dates opened are not any dates that I were in the hospital or had drapptsMy credit file have been updated several times by this company causing my cr

In response to Ms*** 10/3/request for validation of the accounts in question, we ordered the documentation from our clients. The client for account *** responded with the account information requested and we forwarded that information to Ms*** on 10/31/16, within the days
required. The other client for account *** did not respond in time. They sent us the documentation after the days had expired. On 11/21/16, the account number *** was deleted from Ms*** credit reports. A letter confirming this deletion was sent to her on 11/23/16. In the interest of consumer relations, today, 11/28/16, we sent the deletion for the account *** to the credit bureaus. Again, we will send written confirmation of this deletion to Ms*** as well. So you know, it generally takes the credit bureaus a few days to update their databases

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr*** concerns. We have two accounts under Mr*** name from the hospital. One for $and one for $145.17. After speaking to the hospital about these accounts, they have agreed to close the account for
$283.56. We have deleted this account from the credit bureaus. Please be aware that sometimes it takes the credit bureaus a few days to process the changes to their database. The other account is the result of an unmet deductible. The $is the balance after the insurance payments and adjustments. We are sending Mr*** a copy of the account statement so he can verify this with his insurance company. The $is still due and will remain on his credit report. We will be happy to work with Mr*** with a manageable payment plan if needed. *** ***PresidentMerchants' Credit Guide Co

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/10/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I finally received the requested documentsVery sad it took six months, several phone calls, a letter and two complaintsI do not believe when a consumer requests documents the collection agency should note disputed

Upon further inquiry with our client, they have agreed to recall the account and adjust the balance to zeroWe are taking steps to remove this collection item from Ms*** credit report and will send her a letter of confirmation of the removal

A few years ago, I was involved in a hit and run accident and both my son and I were injured in the accidentI filed a claim with the insurance company and they were responsible for paying the medical claimsShortly after, I received a medical bill and in good faith I paid the $bill even though the insurance company was responsibleThe person I spoke with told me this was not reported to the credit agencies and I'm in now in the process of buying my first homeI'm very responsible and take my credit seriously, but as a result of this "paid" collection that's on my credit report, I'm being told I cannot buy a home for my familyIn my opinion, this malicious type of behavior is not right, and I will be filing a formal complaint with the consumer financial protection bureau, the states attorney generals office & the FTC as Merchants Credit Guide has violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act, unless *** remedies the situation

I have disputed separate erroneous debts with Merchant Credit Guide several timesMy only knowledge of these items were through discovering them on my credit reportI called and spoke to an representative at the agency whom was absolutely rude and provided no information whatsoever on the alleged debtThey are making it impossible to resolve this matterI do not owe these debts statedI sent a letter to the agency requesting verification of the debts months agoI received a response that they would look into and respond within days with no responseThis was several months agoThere is a debt showing on my credit report for $and another for $from this agency and it is diminishing my credit scoreI request that these items be removed immediately

This listed company in my complaint (MERCHANTS CREDIT GUIDE) kept posting multiple inaccurate collection accounts that don't belong to me on my credit report, I have disputed their accounts multiple times but they kept posting them every single month, I called them and explained to them that their accounts don't belong to me at all, and I haven't been to their creditor when their debt account occurred, so far they refused to remove them

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/17) */
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr.*** concernsI apologize for the delay in getting these accounts removed as promisedI have spoken to the manager that should have taken care of this so it doesn't happen againThe
removal of these accounts has been requested todayIt may take a few days for the credit bureaus to update their data basesIf Mr*** has any further problem, he may contact me directly

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: "If an eligible individual is entitled to medical assistance with respect to a service for which a third party is liable for payment, the provider furnishing the service may not seek to collect from the individual payment for that service if the total liability of the third party for that service is at least equal to the amount payable for that service by the Department;" (Illinois Administrative Code, Title Chapter I Section(d)) Your client is completely ignoring the lawYour client has failed to respond to communication from my attorney in regards to how they may settle this matter
Sincerely,
Jeremy ***

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr*** concerns. Upon receipt of Mr*** complaint we asked our client to review the history of the accounts. The subject medical claims were filed with the third-party's insurance company by our client. The insurance company did
not pay the claims. Upon investigation of Mr*** claims, we were informed by both the insurance company and his attorney representing him in his personal injury case that the case had settled, the funds were received on June 3, 2016, and is now closed. Therefore, the responsibility now falls to Mr*** to pay for the medical treatment he received from our client
