Merchants Credit Guide has been reporting incorrect information to my credit report for an invalidated and unsupported collection account that they claim to be mine, which is how I discovered they have this "claim" Two certified mail, return receipt letters were sent to Merchants Credit Guide, one on March 18, offering days to provide proof and full validation of this alleged collection debt they claim I owe or remove it from my credit reports After no response was received to my letter, a second letter was sent on April 24th, 2016, advising that no documents or communication had been received, allowing another days to send and expedite the validation or remove the collection from my credit reports To no avail, I still to this day, have not received any communication from this company or had any corrections to my credit reports as instructed Under Federal law, I have a right to request this information and MCG is required to provide these documents or cease the colle

I keep getting phone calls from this company looking for payment for a HospitalI have reminded them that I have always had full health Insurance and no hospital bill is dueI called the hospital also asking if there was anything due and they said no multiple timesOn the call the Merchant Credit employee often tries to push me with threats for hits on my credit report and that I should pay over the phone for my debt dueI explained to the employee that I will not give my credit card number over the phone randomly to a callerPlease send me a proper bill in the mailI have not received said bill in over a yearRecently I went to get a car loan and seen in fact this company has been filling credit hits on my account I called Merchant Credit to remove the credit complaint and have not gotten nothing to change for the past months

June 2017, July I contacted Merchants' Credit Guide Co and spoken to a young lady more than times asking her to send me information on my account to prove this was my billAnd to see when and where the services took placeAnd I told them I have medical coverage at the time of date provided and told her I had proofSee submitted a dispute and days later no call or letter from her about this problem called again she told me to call back called back with no resultsNow it have been over days and nothing have been done to solve this problem

I filed a complaint against them as the debt they said they were collecting for did not existOn the second attempt to contact me, they tried to cut a deal "If you pay now, you can pay it at this lower rate, I'm just trying to help you out" And when I asked to pay directly to organization I owed, the representative threatened my credit score
The first time I returned their call, the call kept dropping and the woman hung up on meThe second time, the representative hung up on me after I said I would follow up directly with the agency they supposedly representedWhich that group said that multiple customers have been reporting scam collection calls from them

the collection company is still reporting a bill as unpaid that was paid off in I have called several times trying to resolve the situation and they ( merchants credit ) has not been returning my callsThe Billing department at *** tells me I have a zero balance and it was paid in Ther is also a $) balance that I owe *** rehabilitation that merchants credit is still insisting that I owe $i have left several messages and still am waiting for an answer

After a medical facility neglected to submit my claim to insurance or bill me directly, MCG obtained the debt for collections If it were not for MCG contacting me, I would not have caught other associated charges still outstanding with the facility and sent to a separate collections agency - again, all due to the facilities billing and administrative errors
Credit agencies get a bad rep and of course no one likes to have debt, but the employees at MCG are just doing their job, it's not personal Furthermore, everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly and helpfulI typically don't write reviews at all but I was surprised to see only negative complaints on file and felt this deserved to be reported

I have a perfect credit rating of 785, I am a male and I have been reciving repeditive calls to my phone asking for a female latasha *** , I call back imedeitally to tell them that they have the wrong phone number , I give them the name of the person they are looking for and they ask for my phone number each time, I tell them the name of the person that they just left on my phone an they tell me they cant look it up that way cause there are different ways to spell latasha, what the hell kinda bussiness is this I get nowhere with the people answering phones an then eventually hung up on only to get more calls and messages and no way to resolve this issue I am beging to think this is criminal and I am going to further purse it

I'm currently in the process of buying a house and have been working with my lender for to months now We're supposed to close next week and my lender had to re-pull my credit report since it over days old and there's a $medical collection on my credit report This is causing my score to drop over points and I no longer qualify for my loan and will be homeless in week This is a medical collection that I had insurance, and the insurance company paid the collection and should have never been on my credit report to begin with I'm asking kindly that Merchant Credit Guide sends me & the agencies a letter deleting this account from my profile I'm not a vindictive person, but this is causing me major stress right now and if I need to I will file a complaint with the CFPB, The FCC and my states attorney generals office

They called me and told me the conversation would be recorded I did not consent, which is my right in Illinois They lady on the phone was rude as *** when I informed her of this and hung up

account. Nevertheless, we will agree to a $20/month payment schedule due to hardship. We ask that she try to accelerate the payment schedule if circumstances improve.
