This collection coClaims to represent *** emergency medical specialists who claims $from me for services provided on 2/20/and 2/22/I've not gotten any bills from *** emergency specialists at all How can I be in collections without getting any bills from primary source which I don't even recollect having any services provided by them Day time robbery or extortion ? Help

Ms*** account of her experience with our company is completely inaccurate. Ms*** has two accounts placed for collection with our company, one since 12/17/and the other since 8/11/16. After several attempt to contact her by mail and telephone, the first response we
received from Ms*** was in the form of a complaint filed with the CFPB on 11/11/claiming she has asked us repeatedly for validation of the debts. Again, we never received any response or request from Ms*** until this CFPB complaint. In response to that complaint, we sent her the required account documentation that included itemized statements of each account and the signed consent to treatment and admissions agreement. We have NOT received this correspondence back as undelivered. Now she has file an additional complaint with the CFPB and the Revdex.com claiming she never received the information after repeated attempts requesting the information. She requested we upload the information to the CFPB complaint portal. Because of the sensitive nature and personal health information included in the documentation, we cannot do that. I have asked Ms*** if we could email the documentation to her private email address. I never received a response. Today, I am sending certified mail - which I am not required to do under the law - the account documentation to Ms*** at the address provided in her complaints. We are not in violation of any laws nor any rights of Ms*** under the laws she inaccurately cites. She is using the Revdex.com and the CFPB to try and bully us into deleting these items from her credit report. *** ***, PresidentMerchants' Credit Guide Company

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I never received any contact from this company, I also had to make phone calls, in one day, to their office in order to receive any response to my questions about this claim. If they had, in fact, been attempting to make contact with me, why would I have confused this account with a different one? I literally had no idea that this debt existed until I checked my credit reportI will be resolving this issue with the original company.
Sincerely,
Michelle ***

Ms*** is correct. She has asked for the account documentation on three different occasions. In response, we have requested the account documentation from our client on three different occasions. Our client has failed to respond and provide the information requested, therefore,
we have closed and returned the account to our client and deleted the collection item from Ms Causby's credit reports and will follow up with a letter confirming this deletion *** ***PresidentMerchants Credit Guide Company

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/07/28) */
Thank you for bringing Mr***'s concerns to us and the opportunity to address themTo set the record straight, we heard from Mr*** on 10/9/regarding his dispute on this accountWe responded to his dispute on 10/18/
with the requested documentationWe have not heard from him since that time
Now, again, we have investigated Mr***'s accountThe claim was submitted to his insurance company, *** for $*** paid $The remaining balance was deemed to be self-pay, Mr***'s responsibilityAnother itemized statement of his account will be mailed to Mr***, as it was on 10/18/If Mr*** thinks *** should have paid more, I would suggest he contact *** and ask them for the payment details and why they did not pay more of the claim
In the interest of good consumer relations, we will remove our trade line reported to the credit bureaus while Mr*** investigates his claim with *** If he finds his insurance company will pay the remaining claim, we will look forward to receiving that paymentIf they will not pay the remaining balance, we will look to Mr*** to pay his self-pay portion and re-report the account if it remains unpaid
We look forward to hearing from Mr*** directly

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/07/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
That is absolutely incorrect
In fact, I spoke with *** at the original time of this claimThey assured me that I was not liable for any self-pay portionAnd *** *** *** was in the wrong
This battle is between the *** *** *** and *** It is absolutely deplorable that Merchants' Credit Guide Company continues to involve me and my credit rating in the unjust pursuit
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/08/06) */
We have confirmed with *** that Mr*** is not responsible for this balanceWe have closed the account, deleted the trade line from mr***'s credit report and sent him a letter confirming this actionWe apologize for the concern this may have causedthe account should not have been referred to collection

I have requested validation or removal of debt in the total amount of $opened on September 21, from this collection agency and they have failed to provide debt validation information via US postal mail or to remove the debt from Equifax credit reporting agencyIt has been more than days since the original request was sent

Ms*** is incorrect in her understanding of the law as well as our obligations under the laws she cites. On 7/9/16, we sent to Ms *** our initial letter informing her of her rights under the law and we provided the "mini-miranda." She was also advised in the letter that the
account may be reported to the credit bureau. In addition, Ms*** is incorrectly under the impression that we purchased this account from the original creditor. We did not. The original creditor remains the owner and current creditor of this account. Nevertheless, in the interest of consumer relations, we have deleted the collection item from Ms*** credit reports and we are sending her a letter confirming said deletion. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meAs long as they send me a written letter saying this account have been closed and deleted from all three major credit bureaus.
Sincerely,
*** ***

I have looked into Mr*** concerns. There has apparently been some confusion. He is correct on the payment he made on the account number in his complaint. That account is paid in full. There is another account from the same client that is the one that was reported to
the credit bureau. It's account number ***. Mr*** has taken care of the other accounts in a timely manner and I believe this account was simply an oversight. We will be happy to work with Mr*** to resolve this last remaining account and come to his desired resolution. *** ***, PresidentMerchants' Credit Guide Company

Out of people only one was actually willing to work with meI was requesting a deletion letter when the rep told me that I could not get one without asking any further questionsI asked to speak to a managerThe manager is immediately hostileShe asks why I need the letter and I tell her to which she replied, "That's all you had to say." She starts yelling at me and I tell her that I was never asked any questions and that there was no need to yell at meShe asks for an email and as I am trying to give it to her she is overtalking me and telling about how she doesn't have time for this and has other people waitingAfter I tell her to be quiet so I can give her what she is asking for she hung up in my faceLuckily the next supervisor that I spoke with was not insane and was actually helpful

I'm disputing the relationship between the collection agency and myselfThere is no signed contract between usI'm requesting that they remove themselves from all three of my credit bureausI have disputed this with the company requesting signed documents between us that they cannot provide

Thank you for the opportunity to address Ms*** concerns. First, on 2/5/17, Ms*** was provided notice from our office when her account was placed for collection to her last known address. We never received return mail on this notice. A second notice was sent on
3/15/17. Again, we never received mail returned. None of our efforts to collect the account were in violation of the FDCPA, FCRA, or any other law. On 4/13/we received a letter of dispute from Ms***. We were in the process of requesting verification of the debt from our client when our client informed us on 4/18/that they had received payment in full. At that time we updated her account as paid in full. During the time since we received Ms*** dispute letter, we suspended our collection efforts to verify the debt, as is required by law. On 4/25/17, we received a call from Ms***, upset that we were on her credit report. Before we could confirm her address, she ended the call. That same day, our client called and asked us to remove the collection item from her credit report. On 4/25/17, we deleted the collection item from Ms*** credit reports. A letter confirming the deletion will be sent to Ms*** to the address on this complaint. Dan Burtis, PresidentMerchants' Credit Guide Co

Thank you for the opportunity to address Mr*** concerns. The reason why Mr*** has not received any bills for these accounts is because they were sent to his old address. Actually, Mr*** has three accounts in collection from *** Emergency Medicine Specialists.
The first account is for services rendered on 7/14/by an *** physician. His current address was provided. As soon as the account was placed in collection, Mr*** promptly paid this account. The next two accounts for services rendered on 2/20/and 2/22/16. An old address was provided. Apparently, the bills sent were returned. We will send Mr*** copies of both the invoices to his current address.Should Mr*** have any questions, we will be happy to help him*** ***, President

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr*** concerns. Merchants' Credit Guide Company is a licensed collection agency in the state of Illinois. We have been in business for years. We are a contracted Business Associate of the client who sent us the accounts for Mr
*** I do not know who Mr*** spoke to at the provider. We have sent him itemized statements of the accounts placed for collection once. I will send them to Mr*** again along with the name and phone number of the provider's Director of Patient Accounts to verify our role with the provider and the status of his accounts. If Mr*** has an explanation of benefits or a cancelled check indicating these accounts have been resolved, I would encourage him to provide it. In accordance with the laws that govern our industry, we recognize Mr*** demand for all communication regarding these accounts to cease and have closed his accounts from any further communication. Please know this closure does extinguish the debts. They remains due.*** ***, PresidentMerchants' Credit Guide Company

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr*** complaint. Unfortunately, Mr*** understanding of the FDCPA and the FCRA is inaccurate. We have not violated Mr*** rights. We have provided Mr*** with the documentation required to
validate the debt. He knows what the debt is for and he knows he is responsible for paying it. Due to the age of the debt, it is due to drop off of Mr*** credit report anyway, we have sent the deletion of the collection item to the credit bureaus to remove our trade line from his credit report. A letter confirming this deletion will be sent to Mr***
