Worst experience EVER!!!!! When we made our cabin reservation we specifically asked to be at the lower base of the mountain I spoke with an individual who assured me our place would be NOT! As we got to our cabin we were up an extremely steep drive and curvy rode This was our concern as we had heard they were calling for snow = again the lady at the rental place reassured me it was only going to snow 1-inches nothing to worry about Well, LIE....we woke up the next morning to 8-inches of snow We were snowed in No way to get our cars down the steep incline of the personal drive way to our cabin We called the rental company who basically told us this was not their problem They were not at all willing to get us any snow removal in order for us to get out of the cabin We called several times the whole day without any willingness to help At this point we had been in our cabin all afternoon without any food and no way out Fast forward hours to Sunday morning We walked out to find again ZERO snow or ice removal At this point we had been in our cabin for nearly hours with no way out or real food (a few small bags of trail mix) We made another call to the rental company who basically told us we were on our own Not their problem This was a nightmare We needed food and we needed to get out of the driveway and get back home to our jobs It is shocking that a business that runs such a large company was not prepared They did not pre-treat driveways There were no shovels or salt for us and the safety of those that rent from them is their responsibility When you have people calling for salt and shovels and willing to do the work to get out we just need supplies and they tell them sorry not our responsibility = lousy!!! Sorry excuse for a business I would not suggest renting from them Take your money somewhere else They have no problem taking your money, but sure not willing to help out

I used *** to search for available cabins based on my cheand check-out dates It's not until you book a cabin that you find out that there is a minimum nite stay requirement...that is if you read their link to the reservation agreement! After accepting my deposit, TWELVE days later I received an email from them asking me to call them since I did not meet the minimum required nites But now many of the cabins I had favorited from other sites were no longer available I called the next morning, but because I was not able to extend my nite stay to 5, she said they would have to refund it Since I already paid for the cabin and discounted dinner show tickets in full during a previous call with them *** ** *** I asked if they could still honor the tickets She said a manager would need to call me back and assured me I would receive a call that day After no call for days, I called again This time the woman refunded the cabin and indicated where I could pithe dinner show tickets But several hours later I received a call from them indicating they would need to refund the dinner show tickets as well Since the show was now sold out, I asked to speak to the manager
Kelly was not at all pleasant or professional She was loud, as if on speaker, and I could her hear slap her desk as she continually repeated to me that it was their POLICY that they could not provide dinner show tickets to those who are not staying with them....even though she understood the many issues I already experienced with them
-Their website should immediately indicate the minimum required nites based on the selected check-in/check-out dates The customer shouldn't have to go through the booking process to find this out
- If they are going to allow their website to book a visit that does not meet the minimum required nites, then someone should be reviewing the bookings regularly...not days later
- Considering that the dinner show was sold out and I had already paid for them in full weeks prior, I thought it was pretty petty of Kelly to 'sell' them back and make me go through the dinner show without any guarantee that I could obtain those sold back tickets
- The staff members I spoke to were polite, but Kelly was not When I asked to speak to her manager she said she didn't have one She put the blame on me for not noting the minimum required nites and then wanted to know the name of each person I spoke to, saying they were probably new Way to throw you employees under the bus!

Upon check in we called because only tvs worked in the cabin we were told someone would be outThere were also many small things that were not right in the cabin if we really wanted to nitpickThe main complaint was and is the cabin was NOT CLEAN Next day we woke up to the kids on lower level complaining about bugs are n their room and bathroom and in their bedWe then stripped all the beds not only to find some bugs but to find blood stained sheets top and bottom sheets in the main floor bedroomThe mattress cover and mattress had blood on themWe called and were told someone would be outWe waited around all day no one showed upWe went out for a couple hours to find a bag of sheets on the deck next yo the doorWe dealt with bugs in our food and all over the kitchen and bathroomsWe had to throw out foodWe pent the first days of our vacation on the phone with guest care and waiting for someone to come for the tvs the bugs and the blood stained bedA worker came at

The night we arrived we found live cockroaches in the cabinWe found a guest book showing that the previous tennant reported cockroaches to the office and nothing was done to get rid of them before we checked in days later After the bugs were verified we were moved to another cabin with none of the amenities we wanted - no seclusion, no privacy, no view, no internet, poor cable service, no decks with privacy for us to sit on, etcIn addition, we learned the day after we checked in to the 2nd cabin that it had been broken into the day before the previous tenants had $ stolen from the cabin no one told us about that before we were moved there Then we found proof that someone had broke into the cabin when we were gone during the day - the broke a basement window We called the police and filed a report, and we contacted the office for the cabinThe next day we learned that the code for the front door hadn't been changed since moving the previous tenants out so they had to come

STAY AWAY! PINE CONE HAVEN CABIN
After driving for hours from South Florida we finally get to the office to check in at 3:pm and the person in the front desk tells me that our cabin will be ready around at 4:I call the 1-number and was on the phone waiting for minutes before a representative answers and said that she will email me directions to get to the cabin (NEVER RECEIVED THE EMAIL)Here we are in a parking lot and it's 5:in the afternoon and I have yet to receive a phone call from the cheofficeI call again and this time I'm on the phone for minutes and finally they gave me directions to get to the cabinWhen we walked in it was breathtaking! The views and the cabin itself, (That didn't last very long)It was degrees in the cabinI start walking around and notice portable AC units that were not even installed properly! The toilets were leaking water, it's advertised to have TV's when in reality there were only (which only was working the other had no cable boxes)The website said sleeps "6" king bed and queen sleepers (there was only queen sleeper, we had to go buy air mattresses) No sound bar theater surround sound, no porch Swing, no outdoor park swing, no rocking chairs, no landline, no outside grill, and showers not like is advertised, dirty jacuzzi and the back two jets in the jacuzzi did not workThe next morning we went to the office and spoke to the Manager "***" (NO MANAGER SKILLS AT ALL) and started explaining to her all the issues and she started rolling her eyes and was very defensive as if we were attacking herAnother guest walks in and says, "Oh, you guys are having issues too"*** turned to me and said, "You need to stop egging on our guest"I was in shock that they have a person with that kind of attitude representing their companyAfter being there for nights they never brought us the extra bed that they had advertised on their websiteThe day we checked out there was a young man by the name of Benn that was amazing to us! He gave us a small credit compared to all the *** that we had to deal withIt's such a shame that they have "Cabins of the Smoky Mountains Company" managing these cabins because the views and the cabins itself were just breathtaking!!!!

Jacuzzi tub leaked all over the bedroom, the cabin smell was unbearable Extreme inconvenience to have to move at p.m*** Cabin
on *** we checked into the *** cabin and the first thing we notices was a horrible smell that was unbearable Tried to use the Jacuzzi tub and there was no hot water so called the main office to report the issue and was told they would notify maintenance After making several attempts to fill the Jacuzzi with no success I drained the tub The tub that was upstairs leaked all over the bedroom below Called the main office again and at this point we were moved to another cabin Nice of them to do this for us by very inconvenience since I had two dogs with me as well I was told I would get al call from the manager in the morning The call never came The cabin that I was moved to had issues as well There was a blood stain on the sheets, there was mouse poop in the bed and the hot tub never heated up When I called in Fri

Hello my name is *** and I'm writing because on *** I made reservation at Cabins of The Smokey Mountains for *** & ***I guess somehow I didn't see the check in time for the cabin I reserve which will be 4:pm I just assume around noon, I notice the time the cabin can be occupied through a confirmation email*** will be my *** Birthday and I do not want to wait until 4:in the afternoon for my birthday to startI call the 186634SMOKY on *** to try and explain my situation to a customer service rep of course they could care less and denied me of trying to cancel and get a refund in the amount of $***.I have never experience anything like this where you are not given at least hours to change your mind Customer service said they could cancel the reservation but the money I deposit which was the $*** will go in to escrow and it can remain there for yearsI can not afford for my money to be tied up in escrow my birthd

I booked a cabin with Cabins of the Smokey mountains At 430am I was awaken by a stinging sensation on my hands and arms to discover myself and husband had several bug bites We pulled back the covers and seen several small bugs and a blood smear at the head of the bed We immediately called the front desk to reportAt 6am the maintenance man arrived to "inspect" the cabin He did not do a thorough inspection we stood by to watch In fact, he told us his wife had sent him images of beg bugs and he was using that to attempt to identify them as he showed us his phone We packed up our children and left We slept in front of the check in office until they arrived at 9am They refused to give us a FULL refund the lady stated it was against the law and could refund us our cleaning fees since the maintenance person said the bed was not cleaned properlyWe had to throw away over $ in groceries among other fees for laundry and the possibility of carrying these into our home

My family and I rented from Cabins of the Smoky Mountains this past week, from August 3, through August 5, We rented " A Touch of Heaven" which looked great in the advertisement First of all this cabin is located in a very difficult to get to location, high in the mountains, up a winding road It would have been terrible trying to navigate the winding road in the dark, fortunately we arrived during day light The fact that this cabin is located high in the mountains, should be noted on the website From the moment we arrived we discovered the projector in the theater room was not working Then we discovered the shower door in one of the bathrooms wouldn't close, causing water to be sprayed all over the floor when the shower was in use We then discovered that there was no light in another one of the bathrooms, so we had to bath and shower in the dark I called several times asking for someone to come and repair the projector, shower door and lack of lighting in one of the bathrooms I was told on each occasion that they would send someone out to address the problem However no one ever came In addition to these issues, the company provided towel and wash cloth for each member of our party There was also only drying dish cloth in the kitchen This was not our first time visiting Gatlinburg and our experience in the past was positive, but it was not with Cabins of the Smoky Mountains
