Stayed at the Mountain View Escape Cabin, April 29- May 5, 2017...would not recommend this cabin Dirty, hot tub filthy, switches in bathroom did not work, floors so dirty that if you walked bare footed - black bottoms of feet, fireplace did not work, over hours late of allowing us into the place, dining room table is huge - unfortunately there are only chairs to set at it No map to get to the cabin...just drive around until you find it! Iron water....stunk, would ruin your clothes if you used the washer....we would not stay here again Front desk people, untrained or just didn't care!

The cabin is very clean and roomy with scenic views - just like I saw on the websiteGood job!
However, I did call the office last night to inform them that the pool is filled with dirt and the hot tub appears to be disconnected or brokenSee pictures attachedThese pictures show the pool and hot tub just as we found them
I've been told a maintenance person will arrive by noon but we've not seen or heard from anyone yet
For the rate of over $/day, I don't think it's too much to expect everything to properly functioning or at least a heads up when I checked in that they knew of these problems and were working on themIf there had been an option to pay more to insure everything was fully functional and ready to go upon arrival, I would have gladly paid it

Natural disaster not covered under cancellation policy I made a deposit early in the year and continued to make payments on the cabin with full intent of traveling up to *** for the winter One morning while getting ready for work *** I saw on the news there was a wild fire in the town of Gatlinburg, and parts of *** ***, TN., they had an emergency evacuation of the area due to the severe fire in the area Businesses were burnt down along with many homes I was unable to reach the company who I sent my deposit to via phone but was able to contact them through instant chat on their website After much back and forth with various reps and frequent televised news coverage of the area being damaged; by wild fire, road closures, destruction, worse fire in over years ( words of the MAYOR) we decided to cancel the trip Their cancellation policy does not cover fire damage and the reps are quite aware of it and even agreed that it does not cover it They refuse to

I rented Cabin on 8/7/til 8/11/ I sent several complaints in all....It is absolutely absurd that the cabin was advertised to sleep people and couldn't accommodate on arrival the first dayReally? missing a queen sofa and a futon? They brought me a futon, ( guy) who needed my son to help carry it in and set it up, by the way, guess I paid for that tooBecause the queen Sofa was missing, I had to advise my daughter that there was no room in the cabin to sleep and had to put her up in a motelThis is unacceptableI not only had to pay for a cabin but also a hotel room....what are you going to do that could possibly rectify this situation? I would rather you contact me through email.....enough with the run around on the phone
These are all things I found upon arrivalNot to mention a cabin that is suppose to sleep couldn't accommodate on the first dayI received a futon but you are still short on a queen size sofaBecause of this I advised my daughter

Do not stay in the "Nestled" cabin! The pictures are deceivingThis is 100% not worth the moneyWe had rented this cabin with friends for mainly one reasonTo hang out and have a few days to relax in the mountains in a hot tubThe hot tub was not only not operational, it was not even thereFrom the looks of it, it seems like it has been gone awhileThe carpet is very old and dirty-appliances are older, I cannot emphasize that was dirty, there was hair and dust and grime all over the placeLots of fake greenery that has not been cleaned or dusted in agesThe couch is so uncomfortable(The big recliner was super comfy, thankfully) The people were not easy to get in touch with-when my friend finally did they basically told us too bad and gave us a tiny discountThey could not move us and no other cabins in the area had available rentalsThere are next to no basic amenitiesNo salt or pepper in the kitchenThere used to be a gas grill, but it was not there, and we had to make do with the small charcoal grillThe beds didn't have real blankets on them-only a sheet and a light fleece blanket they had stretched over the bed to look like a quiltThe television would only get the SchannelAnd the most irritating part is that the cabin is still being advertised WITH the operating hot tub(That does not exist in this cabin) Do not rent this very dated, grimy, and deceptive rental

I spent a night stay in ***-with multiple problems I want a refund
CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS NOT MET
When I checked in, I was given a piece of paper which gave me directions and information about the cabin I have complaints about the following:
I was given the ID and password for internet/WI-FI IN FACT, THERE WAS NO IN THE CABIN NO SERVICE AVAILABLE I should have been told about this as I had work responsibilities to do while in the cabin I was promised service when I agreed to rent the cabin--this was a high priority for me
I was given the cabin's phone number as *** THERE WAS NO PHONE IN THE CABIN When I called (On *** and ***) and asked about this your Guest Service Rep said that she would send someone out An employee showed up the next day--with a phone When he plugged it in, HE SAID THAT THERE WAS NO PHONE SERVICE TO THE CABIN This was never fixed My handicap, almost year old Mother, ***

We were so looking forward to our Gatlinburg Spring Break and working with this company was a miserable start to our vacation! 1st, directions to "check in center" were not accurate but I found it I went inside building (at 6pm, check in starts at 4) and the line is people deep & as people checked in, more people continued to arrive Only ONE person doing guest check in Stood in line for over 30minutes Everyone in line around me was concerned they were not in the right place because they said they were confused where check in was and several people in line ahead of us were being told that they were in wrong office After driving several hours with kids in car...in line for 30min...the last thing you want to do is go to another office min away Fortunately, I was in the correct place & after I finally got to my turn, check in was smooth UNTIL we get to our cabin...THE BRAXTON VERY disappointed in 1st impression Cabin appeared run down, there was a dirty ball of ru

advertisement, bad service, harassment, blackmail
We have been the victims of advertisement, bad service, and now harassment and blackmail We were unable to check into our cabin on time as previously emailed by the company We received an email stating that since we prepaid and did a virtual check in we would receive access to our cabin by 4pm the day of check in We were unable to check into our cabin until after 6pm and that required multiple calls and showing up at your office and voicing our complaints loud enough for other guests to hear before we were provided access We selected a cabin and amenities advertised that were broken or not available prior to our check in The hot tub was not functional and no one came to even look at it after we called twice THe internet selected wawss not available due to other customers using the monthly allowance prior to our check in I was told this falls under wear and tear in your policy The maninenance man state

My family and I planned a Labor Day vacationWe traveled hours, took off from work, and it was our only vacation this yearWe arrived on Friday evening Sept 1st and a few things we noticed was the cabin was not as clean as expected due to paying cleaning feesThe tubs were filthy, we found hair in one of them, there were many spider webs, and dust about the cabinThe refrigerator did not work and we could not put our food up and had to keep it chill until maintenance came out with iceThe hot tub lights did not work, and that had to be addressed as wellLater that evening we could not get in the hot tub due to some form of chemical that was added into the tubWe all got in and had to immediately get out because of how strong the chemical smell was and it was irritating our skinWe called maintenance and they came out the next evening and could tell that something was definitely poured in the hot tubHe drained it completely, flushed it out and filled it back up but said it would take hours to reheatWe also had to have maintenance look at the oven because the top surface worked but the oven did not While he was there we had enquired about if they spray for bugs because we were noticing a fewHe stated they do not but have an outside source that comes in and sprays but they would have to call if neededDuring all of this time, we tried keeping a positive outlook and enjoy ourselves because our children were there and it was supposed to be a great time for familyWe ended up leaving for the day to run some errands for a movie night since it was raining and we were planning to grill the next morning since the weather was supposed to be niceWhen we got back that evening we started noticing actual roaches crawling all over the placeThe few bugs that I thought I was seeing were actually baby roachesI have taken photos for proof because I have never seen anything like this is my life! We immediately called the service number and they basically told us we could leave and get a hotel room at o'clock in the morning, they didn't have any place to put us and that they would call and get it sprayed the next dayWe had children with us and our pregnant nieceThere was no way to just leave at 12am and we barely know how to get around at day lightHow could we make sure we were all safe at 12am? This has been a nightmare and our cabin cost us $for nights and daysWe had to throw all of our food out, bag up our clothing, and leave the next dayWe have begun disputing charges and since we did that the help desk said basically we can leave there is nothing they can do for us since we've begun to do soWe have since arrived at home and cannot bring our clothing inside and have had to leave them all outside for fear of bringing roaches into our homes!
