A response was sent to [redacted], today, 5/18/2015 as follows:
Thank
you for your follow up inquiry through the Revdex.com.  We appreciate the opportunity to address your
concerns.  
As
we discussed by phone, we are unable to adjust the cancellation date of your
homeowner’s policy more than 90 days without proof of replacement
coverage.  The first request we received
to cancel the policy was received on April 8, 2015.  At this time, the homeowners policy,
[redacted], remains cancelled effective for December 21, 2014 with a total
balance due of $140.80.  There is no
balance due for your rental property, policy number [redacted].
Proof
of replacement coverage may be submitted by fax at [redacted], email at [redacted] or by mailing
to the address listed on the cancellation request form enclosed.

Cancellation of the Homesaver Policy was withdrawn and coverage continues without lapse.  It had to be reinstated via a new policy.

Travelers attempted to contact [redacted] by telephone on January 7, 2015, to obtain additional information, however, a letter was also sent January 7, 2015 to request that same information....
"I’m
sorry we weren’t able to speak by phone today, however I wanted to follow up
the message I...

left you with a brief note. Upon review of your account, the
renters policy cancelled effective July 23, 2014 and the amount of $40.39 requested
from collections is the earned premium. I see that you have a home with us as
well for a residence in [redacted] that is still active
and in force. If you have moved coverage for this home, what was the exact date
you took out replacement coverage? With this date we can make any needed
adjustments."

A response was sent 1/22/2015:"In your letter you referenced that [redacted] informed Travelers of the replacement of coverage. Upon a thorough
review of our records, we do not have any documentation on file. We would like
to resolve this for you and are awaiting your proof of replacement coverage in
order to process the cancellation effective the date your replacement coverage
with [redacted] started. Please email the proof directly to (contact email and phone number were provided in the letter)."

Travelers relies on valid information being provided to us to accurately rate and underwrite policies. At the time Mr. [redacted] was added as an additional driver, no prior accidents or violations were reported to us and the policy was rated accordingly.
 
Motor Vehicles Reports are routinely refreshed, and any incidents for which we previously unaware are incorporated into our records. In this case, when this was done, the incident history disqualified the risk from continued coverage in the Voluntary market.

A response dated 4/30/2015 was mailed from Travelers on 5/5/2015, the business area was awaiting a reply from the agent.  The response is as follows:
"I am writing to you in response to your correspondence sent
to the Revdex.com on April 19, 2015. You stated you received a...

for a business auto policy you never signed up for.
The policy referenced above is a Business audit policy
issued by Travelers and brokered through SmartChoice Insurance Agents with an
effective date of  November 28, 2014. Our
records show the yearly premium totaling $#,###.00 with a total of $#,###.00
having been paid toward the premium.
 If you never intended to have this coverage or have placed
coverage with another company please contact our service center for cancellation
assistance. We may be reached at (contact # provided) option # 3, our hours of
operation are 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday.  
I hope this information has helped with the questions
regarding the bill. If you have any additional billing questions please feel
free to contact me directly at (respondent phone number provided)."

A response was sent to Ms. [redacted] on 3/2/2015:The response letter outlined her payments as well as explained, Travelers removed 4 late fees totalling $40.  Spread installments evenly over the remaining installments available.  Set expectations for typical monthly installment amount and...

A response was sent to Ms. [redacted], 10/2/2015.A review of our policy records shows it will effective October 3, 2015 due to no Welcome Team interview.  Travelers attempted to reach Ms. [redacted] by telephone on August 25, 2015, without success, therefore a letter was mailed to her in order to...

complete the brief telephone interview to confirm policy information and avoid cancellation.  Because Travelers did not receive a return call, a notice of cancellation was sent out by certified mail.  Ms. [redacted]s' preference to use her P O Box address wsa not communicated to Travelers according to our records. The signed quote acceptance documents Travelers received from Ms. [redacted] shows the [redacted] address.  To avoid cancellation, Ms. [redacted] has been instructed to contact Travelers to complete that interview process.

A response was sent to [redacted] on 6/7/2016 detailing the results of another engineering inspection for the roof shingles......report noted the roof shingles were cracked, but were neither blistered, cupped, curled nor delaminated - all signs of heat damage from fire.  The shingles were...

cracked due to weather-related temperature changes and normal thermal contraction and expansion.  The report further noted that this conclusion is bolstered by lack of damage to the ceiling sheetrock in the main level below the attic.  Other sources that Travelers conferred with, confirmed that [redacted]s roof shingles were not damaged by fire.

I am rejecting this response because: The response is unacceptable.  I cancelled the policy back in October when I requested a refund! Their agent did not notate the file correctly and I should not and will not be penalized for their mistake and miscommunication.  They claim to record calls and therefore need to listen to the call because I clearly asked for cancellation when I asked for the refund. Their mischievous practices are deceitful and illegal. Although they say they are not charging me for  the second policy, what they are not saying and being truthful about is the fact that there should have never been a second policy in the 1st place I ONLY CALLED FOR A QUOTE AND YET AGAIN THEY TRIED TO UNDERHAND ME. THE POLICY WAS REQUESTED TO BE CANCELLED ON THE OCTOBER CALL WHEN I ASKED FOR MY REFUND AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN CANCELLED ACCORDINGLY.

which the company was responsible for but it does not address the misinformation given to us by the customer service representatives which put us in a situation where we were not insured and cost us additional premiums. It also does not change the problem of misinformation to the public.This is not was insurance should be.
