For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Per my detailed correspondence sent to Okinus on 7/I requested that correspondence be sent via "MAIL" not emailThey have continued to email me at my personal email as well as call me and leave me voicemails regarding my accountAccording to the response he states I asked for email response onlyOkinus' did not answer to my requests in regards to their violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices ActIn the last week I have logged calls the following violations from them alone: 9/22: 12:13; 9/19: 10:38; 9/18: 10:10; 9/17: 10:17; 9/15: two calls at the same time from two different area codes 2:(229) and (623)I have saved the voicemails and will proceed with further action without a valid response from Okinus

Ms*** did not contact
Okinus about an issue with the furniture until 2/18/when she requested that
the merchandise be picked up and all
monies refundedOkinus received pictures
on 2/20/14, which Okinus forwarded to *** *** where it was reviewed
by the owner of *** ***Mr*** (owner of *** ***) that
the manufacturer of the sofa was no longer in business and would not be able to
procure replacement parts for itThe original purchase was on 5/1/Ms
*** di receive other items on the invoice other than the Sofa; (a pc
bedroom set, Queen & King Mattress Set and a TV Stand, invoice is
attached)Again Okinus was not informed of an issue with the sofa until
months after receivingMs*** was offered a reduced settlement of
$125/month for months, the payments were to begin on 3/27/
If the Equifax report is
reflecting late payments it should be forwarded to Okinus for review or a
dispute filed with Equifax so that Okinus can ensure that the account is reporting
correctly and if it is not then it can be correctedThe current
agreement/settlement that Ms*** has with Okinus; provided that completes
as agreed, will have Ms*** not paying any lease fees (Okinus does not
charge interest due to being a LEASE)Ms*** has not had any issues with
the other merchandise noted above, nor has any other issues been brought to
Okinus' attention after the unapproved modifications were made by Ms***'s
spouse and not a licensed repair technician
A refund is not due and
the account will reflect paid out once the remaining payments are made
Either a dispute filed with Equifax or updated copy of Equifax report sent to
Okinus for review/correcting

Mr*** purchased Maximum FurnitureOkinus was contacted on 2/28/in reference to incorrect TV stand being delivered, per customer this was corrected on 3/5/and everything was ok, verified due dateOkinus was not advised of any issues with the furniture until months later on 11/9/
(Chair and Tables broke), customer wanted to schedule a pickup, Okinus offered to call the store to check on whether still had a warrantyThe store was contacted and Okinus was advised would need pictures of the damaged merchandiseOkinus relayed the requested information to MrHong, he stated that his wife wanted the merchandise picked up, an Okinus rep asked the Mr*** to let the store correct the defect and if at that time still wanted a pickup we would obligeOkinus received the pictures on 11/12/
Mr*** requested to not make payments until merchandise was fixed on 11/20/13, the ACH for payments was turned offOkinus forwarded the due date to 12/24/so that would not report negative on Equifax
Mr*** was contacted on 12/16/and offered a settlement on merchandise due to not receiving anything from the warranty company for his merchandiseMr*** stated that did not want a settlement wanted a total refund of all monies paidMr*** was informed that Okinus could not refund the monies paid on the leaseThe only amount that could be refunded would be payment in the amount of $(due to advising Okinus of intent to have merchandise picked up in November 2013)Mr*** did not like this and advised Okinus rep that would pursue legal
As of 4/15/Mr*** will not allow Okinus to pickup the merchandise, stated that he is not paying for anything because Okinus did not do anythingMr*** was advised that Okinus was communicating on his behalf with the store and was unsuccessful in obtaining his desired results so this is the reason that a settlement was offered, he declined and Okinus offered to return 1 payment ($232.16) since reported situation to OkinusMr*** advised that is talking to a lawyer and is going to sue Okinus
Okinus will offer Mr*** the refund of payment ($232.16) and have merchandise picked up, or Mr*** can contact office to discuss a reduced amount for a settlement

This is not an acceptable response this item has been disputed for inaccuracy multiple times and came back verified as accurate I reached out to the consumer protection bureau and filed a complaint with both Equifax and okinusEquifax response was that the account was accurately reporting and okinus didn't respond and I was informed that the complaint was forwarded to the ftc for complianceThis inaccuracy has resulted in denials from creditors and higher interest rates due to the status of the delinquency of this account error and I'm requesting that this account be removed from my creditThis is not an error this is blatant sabotage because there were serial several opportunities to correct this mistake for this illegal reporting.

Your breakdown is nothing like what is on my contract.
First of all no one said the I paid was a LEASE paymentIt is a down paymentHere is the definition of a down payment since you seem to not know what it is
Definition of 'Down Payment'

Would it make any sense for Okinus to actually send a customer a letter stating when the SAC would expire? No because they would lose moneyOkinus has lied and said they sent me a letter, said they didn't send me a letter and then emailed me one

Okinus Inchandles all past due collection accounts in office being we are a first party lender. Okinus Incdoes not
use an outside collection agency to collect on our accountsMr***'s account is past due from January 3,Okinus Inchas been trying to contact the customer to collection on his account since this date and has recently spoke with him and tried working out several different arrangements with Mr*** including a special promotion that will bring his account back currentWhile Okinus will not be able to change any past reporting on Mr***s credit, we are willing to work with him to bring his account back currentMr*** will need to contact Okinus Incif he is interested in setting up the arrangements on his account

I asked for a extension so that I could find out more on why a finance company would be taxing meOkinus did extend it for ONE dayI found that as a joke and paid it on the correct day and did not accept their extensionThe first time I called I did not know there was tax involved so when I did the math and it didn't seem right I immediately called back so they could explain to me why I had owed more than I thoughtThe Lady on the phone was confused and asked me to hold because she was unsure why the amount was differentThen a gentleman got on the phone and explained Okinus basically says s they are not technically "loaning" you the moneyThey see it as they are buying the furniture for you and you are buying it back from themThat is why they they tax youThis was definitely a scam and I do believe I got taxed twice and neither company would like to fess up because neither wants to payThat whole break down that the company representative wrote out was NOT on their contract to me or any paper to meIf it had been on my contract then I would have know about the "tax"If anything I would like to warn anyone who contemplates on using this company to read all complaint on Revdex.com and on the website ripoffreport.com

I reject the response made by this companyThe only truth they speak of is to research ever y business you want to do business with and I wish I would haveIf had had researched ahead of time I would not have chosen this companyThey have over complaints on Revdex.com and several complaints all over the internet including Rip off reportI don't know how Okinus prides themselves for their customer service but have so many complaintsI plead my case and I do not accept their responseI felt that I was taxed twice and their only repose is the store representative said they did not tax but of course they would say thatWhat I was told is they didn't know about Okinus taxing so we must be getting different answers

On June 29, Ms*** *** signed a Lease Agreement with Okinus for the merchandise she was purchasing from North Shore FurnitureThe first page of the lease agreement states that the monthly payments are $for months. Line of the contract does state that
if Ms*** makes all her payments and doesn't try to pay her account out early she will pay a total of $which doesn't include the sales or other fees she may acquireThe first page of the contract also states on line the two early payoff options we offer our customersThe first option is to pay the account out in days which unfortunately Ms*** didn't take advantage ofThe second option is that Ms*** can pay out the account early at any time and Okinus will take off 35% of the lease fees left owing on the accountOkinus is showing that Ms*** has paid payments on her accountAs of today going based off the legal binding contract she signed with Okinus her early payoff is $and the balance on the account is $1,Okinus will allow Ms*** to payout the account by 12/1/for the early payoff that is showing however, Okinus is not able to go ahead and mark the account as paid in full being Ms*** has not fulfilled the terms of the contract

Ms*** contacted Okinus on 12/18/and stated that had
paid online a couple of days priorMs*** was informed that would need to
submit a bank statement showing that the online
payment that was made and the
automatic draft payment had posted to account before a refund would be issued
Ms*** sent in the bank statement on 1/7/Okinus requests this
information to insure that the additional payment would not be returned by the
bank for any reason (this is requested from any customer that has same
situation as Ms***)The overpayment of $was processed and returned
to Ms*** on 1/7/
Ms*** did pay her account out online as she stated
however Okinus has a disclaimer in “RED” below the
total amount paid that states “If this payment is
to replace an auto ACH draft please call the office to stop the ACH draft.” This
statement is to prevent situations like Ms*** had above
