Ms*** opened a second account with Okinus in May 2016 and her days was over on 8/11/The checking information in the beginning was incorrect and it
did cause a payment to return back to our officeThis was a mistake on Okinus part and we waived the return feeThe checking information was corrected and we drafted two payments of $on 6/15/and 7/15/Ms*** called in both payments being she was paying extra on her account to try to get the account paid off in timeWhen Ms*** called in on 7/she was advised that the payoff at that time was $She authorized Okinus to draft the $leaving a balance of $but never mentioned that we could draft her account on the 11th of August for the remaining balanceMs***'s monthly payment amount is $which is due on the 15th of each monthThis payment was not drafted being Ms*** had been calling in monthly payments so her ACH was suspended. The *** did not contact Okinus again until 8/22/to find out why her account wasn't paid out and she was quoted the payoff of being she was past her daysOkinus spoke with MS*** on 8/24/again in regards to the situationThe CSR that Ms*** spoke with got with management and tried to let Ms*** know that we would honor the payoff as a courtesy if she could make the day payoff that dayMs*** ended the call before the CSR could finishOkinus tried contacting Ms*** again today as a courtesy but there was no answerIf Ms*** will contact Okinus within the next business days we will be more than happy to schedule the day payoff for her

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The information in response back by agent is again incorrect.  When I signed agreement I spoke with the dealer while he was on the phone with Okinus and made it clear that I did not want my account drafted because I was purchasing it for my other room that my sister occupied.  When my account was drafted on Feb 21, 2014 I contacted Okinus and asked them why was payment drafted and the agent had stated that I would have to call in my payments. I contacted my bank and the payment was stopped, I then did a replacement payment on March 3-3-2014.  I was also informed by agent that I will pay late fees if I make a payment after due date when calling in payment which is 10.00 and a 10.00 processing fee for taking payment which I understood.

As stated and true I have had a account with Okinus before and had a good experience with no problems this is the only reason I repurchased with them.  There are several things they have done to harass me or I speak with employees that are not educated about the agreement, or don't know how to answer my question, or just out right lie.  I called after I saw the first negative mark in June on my Okinus account and the agent told me even though my payment was due on the 21 of the month they report to credit at the end of the month and if account is not current there is a possibility it will report 30 days late  so when I make a payment (i.e) due 21 and paid on the the next month (not 30 days) that it could be report as so because they report to the credit once a month.  I made a payment

Since the beginning of this agreement a lot of practices and ethical behavior with Okinus has been in question.  I am still yet to get that call back on the explanation of why I can't payoff the amount I owe according to the signed document.  The amount the responding agent put is quoting is way beyond the amount even reported on my credit report.  I am competent on written documentation and it clearly states pay off amount after the date this is the amount I am willing to pay because I have recording and emails to support the inconsistent  information that I have been given. The responding agent is not responding with correct information again I have been calling and communicating with them to be done since July because of the harassment.  I also have recording of conversation is further information is needed. Keep in mind everytime I have been promised to receive a call back to locate all these additional fees that some agents have told me but yet nowhere on document are these fees.  I want to be done with this company but I am willing to pay only the amount that is quoted as payoff amount.

I attached the email from March because I was to call in all payments that is why I received that reminder.  There has been not consistency with Okinus nor are they acknowledging their inaccurate wrong doing.

I attached my credit report information to show they are never even reducing the balance or reflecting the total amount if I did do the the full agreement nor is the amount reflected matching the lease agreement amount of 1260.08 if I was to pay the full amount that day.

Thanks

Thank
you Ms. [redacted] for attaching the documents to review.
                After review of the documents
that you submitted, there is a discrepancy with the emails between you and
Okinus representative. When you copy and pasted the exact content of the email
was not transferred for review (I have attached the actual copy of
correspondence and your version for your review).
                The document you presented as
proof of payments submitted is not from Bank of America (appears to be another
attempt of copy and paste). Per the document that you submitted Okinus does not
have record of 4 payments (4/22/14, 5/9/14, 5/21/14, 6/17/14). I did verify
with ACH department to ensure that all partial payments received from you have
been applied to your account. It was verified that all payments reflected in
the previous Payment History I submitted was accurate. If the 4 previous
payments were deducted from your account and forwarded to Okinus, Okinus will
need proof sent from Bank of America to verify (the document you submitted is
not sufficient). A copy of your contract is attached for your review of the required monthly payments you agreed to on 10/4/13.
The notice of intent to sue has
been reviewed. Okinus is reporting accurately based off of payment received
review the payment history attached again for your review. It is unfortunate
that you have suffered the embarrassment of denial of credit, on time payments
are required to ensure that you will receive a positive credit rating.
                As stated previously you must
contact Okinus to set up your account for the partial payments that are being
sent. Once the schedule is set up with Okinus the collection calls will cease
as long as the payments are sent regularly (per agreement when call Okinus).
When you contact Okinus, the representative can discuss options to bring your
account current so that you can resume reporting on time. As stated before the reporting
is accurate per the payment received unless you submit verifiable proof of
other payments made to Okinus.
Okinus will make an exception when
a customer has fallen on difficult times provided they communicate with Okinus
the difficulty in making the monthly payments on the contract (provided
approved by management). Okinus needs to discuss with Ms. [redacted] the status of
account.

We are sorry that Ms. [redacted] feels that she is being harassed. Okinus keeps trying to contact Ms. [redacted] due to her account being due for 7/18/2016. A partial payment was made on Ms. [redacted]'s account on 9/30 and before that another partial payment was made on 8/19. Okinus has not contacted Ms....

[redacted] since the payment on 9/30 and her account has been turned over to our legal department being Ms. [redacted] has requested we do not contact her any longer. Before we received the Cease and Desist Okinus was trying to get in contact with Ms. [redacted] so that we can set up arrangements with her to help bring her account back current with our company.  Okinus will not be calling Ms. [redacted] any longer but we do request that she contact our office to set up arrangements to bring her account back current with our office.

Ms. [redacted] applied with Okinus in November 2010 after visiting Exclusive Furniture. Ms. [redacted] submitted all the required information Okinus requested including ID. Ms. [redacted]'s account has had 3 successful payments (the down payment, 2/2011 payment, 3/2011 payment). Okinus is the original...

The business claims they record phone calls, therefore, they should be able to pull up the contact logs where I requested the furniture to be picked up. I NEVER requested a third account to be opened! I have been trying to get rid of this furniture since I could no longer make the payments. I am not settling for $500 because they should have picked up the furniture the moment I was late, since this is a LEASE agreement.  I tried to return the furniture.  Please pull up your call logs and  you will see that I am telling the truth.  This account shows "open" on my credit report but it is indeed closed since I have not made a payment in SEVERAL years!  My next step is to report this company to the Consumer Credit Protection Bureau for violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act since this account is supposed to reflect closed since it has not been active for a long time.

On 2/10/16 Ms. [redacted] did go on the Okinus website and set up the payoff on her lease furniture account. Okinus uses a third party company so we are not aware that a payment has been made on an account until we receive the payment unless the customer contacts our office. It takes...

3-5 business days for Okinus to receive any payment that is made online. Okinus submits all payments 5-7 days in advance and Ms.. [redacted]'s monthly payment was submitted to our bank to be processed for a payment on 2/11/16 being her due date was for 2/16/16. I see where Ms. [redacted] did chat with one of the representatives here at Okinus on 2/11/16 around 7:14pm in regards to letting us know she paid out her account online. When Ms. [redacted] chatted online with one of our Okinus representative it was not caught that her payment was submitted earlier that day and I want to apologize for the inconvenience this has caused her.  Also, I want to apologize that the NSF fee wasn't returned back to Ms. [redacted] when the account was originally reviewed. Okinus is in the process of rectifying the situation and Ms. [redacted] should see the credit for the fee  back in her checking account within 1-3 business days.

Ms. [redacted] made arrangements to pay the Same As Cash payout on
4/3/15 as previously offered.
size="3">Okinus was
not able to extend the Same As Cash payoff until 4/22/15.

Ms. [redacted] took advantage of the Same As Cash extension Okinus
offered until 4/3/15.

 Hi,

I do not have any type of confirmation I have the letter saved to my computer which is what I sent Okinus.

Thanks

On
December 21, 2015 Ms. [redacted] spoke with an Okinus Inc....

representative and set
up arrangements for a payment to manually draft from her bank account on 1/1/16
for a total amount of $302.13 to be applied towards her Okinus Inc.
account.   The call pertaining to the arrangements is no longer
available for review as previously stated by Ms. [redacted]. However,  Okinus
Inc. sent a confirmation email to Ms. [redacted]’s personal email account
confirming the arrangements for the payment.  The email thanked the
customer for speaking with our office on that date and recapped the
authorization for $302.13 to be drafted on 1/1/16 from the checking account Ms.
[redacted] provided.  The email also stated Okinus Inc.’s contact information
and stated that if she had any questions regarding her lease to please contact Okinus
Inc..  Due to the verbal and email confirmation of the payment arrangements,
Okinus Inc. acted as per the request of the customer and should not be held
liable for any negative balance that Ms. [redacted] may have occurred on her
checking account. Ms. [redacted] can contact our office and we can provide her
with the email confirmation that was sent to her personal email from the Okinus
Inc. representative that she spoke with on the 21st of December 2015.

Ms. [redacted]’s account is due on the 8th of each month.  It is currently up to date, now due for 7/8/14.  Each month if the account is not paid on by the 8th,...

phone calls will be placed for collection purposes.  Phone calls were placed each time the account was past due, which was December, January, February, March, April, May, and June.  I will personally check with our collection call center to see if excessive amounts of calls were placed on a daily basis and ensure that will not happen in the future.  We thank Ms. [redacted] for her business and as long as her account remains current, phone calls will not be placed to her by our collection office.
Thank you,

Ms.
[redacted] is correct Okinus did process an extra payment. Ms. [redacted] contacted
Okinus on 7/22/14 to set up the payoff on account for...

$182.04, Ms. [redacted]
regular monthly payment of $156.00 was scheduled for automatic ACH on 7/22/14.
Okinus realized the error in the 2 payments processing however the bank
statement was requested from Ms. [redacted] to ensure that the payments were
posted to the account and not pending. Okinus cannot return pending payments
due to the likelihood that a pending payment may return. This is not a
reflection of Ms. [redacted], however this is the policy.
Okinus did
receive bank statement on 7/25/14 @ 1:05pm, sent to Home Office for review on
7/25/14 @ 1:12pm, and was approved for refund on 7/25/14 @ 1:24 pm. The credit
has been processed and Ms. [redacted] should receive within 2-3 business days.

Mr. [redacted]’s 90 Day SAC (Same As Cash) expired on 1/24/14. The welcome letter was mailed to Mr. [redacted] on 10/28/13 (have enclosed for review). Okinus did not receive returned mail from...

this address [redacted]. The reason that Mr. [redacted]’s payoff has “increased” as he states is due to the SAC expiring and lease fees adding in. As with the Welcome Letter the contract is accompanied by a payment schedule. The payment schedule will give every customer an estimate of their current payoff provided they have made on time monthly payments. The contract payment schedule states that the payoff reduces by $57.88 out of every $133.63 payment.  Mr. [redacted] did not contact Okinus until 2/20/14 he stated that an Okinus rep informed him that his 90 Day SAC would not start until 12/1/14, Mr. [redacted] was explained this was the day he chose for his due date (because he needed the 1st of month). He said that we were lying; the representative informed Mr. [redacted] that the call could be pulled from that day. The call was pulled and the only thing that was stated was the due date, nothing was mentioned about the SAC (the SAC cannot be changed; it is from date receive furniture). When Mr. [redacted] was contacted back to inform of the call review he stated “I was not expecting you to say anything else” then Mr. [redacted] ended call.
Okinus would like to extend to Mr. [redacted] a reduced payoff of $422.47 by removing 1 lease fee ($65.84), the reduced payoff will expire on 3/2/14.
Okinus cannot extend the SAC due to SAC expiring on January 24, 2014.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The Okinus website does NOT state that the $93.06 was the early payoff amount due. I have attached a screenshot shot of the updated website as of 11/8/2015. It shows I owe $22.86 in the spot where the $93.06 was previously located. When I looked at the Okinus website I assumed partial payments would be taken since the loan was almost paid off. The website helped this assumption along. Even with Okinus accepting the last full payment as the early payoff option I am still owed a refund of the difference!
Regards,
[redacted]

Ms [redacted] is correct there were previous successful ACH debits to account with no issue. After review of account there was an input error and the account number was transposed. This is under review as to how occurred. Okinus has submitted an ACH debit to your account on file (verified against the...

original voided check submitted) on 6/19/14. All past due fees have been removed from account and the amount of the ACH debit is $192.75.
Okinus apologizes for the error in the processing.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  This error is much larger than what is stated on the letter by [redacted] dated 11/10/14 and cost me a mortgage as well as extended expenses (see attached).
I received an email directly from [redacted] on 11/07/14 stating that the errors have been corected and as of 11/10/14 my credit report still reflects the errors made by OKINUS, Inc.
For your reference and attached herein, a letter which has been mailed to OKINUS, Inc. via USPS Certified, Return Receipt mail# [redacted] Regards,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I'll just follow up with the Federal Trade Commission and The Attorney Generals office in regards to the continuous run-around. I've NEVER received one phone call and the only response I can get from the company would be here on the Revdex.com. I take this matter extremely serious and I will be proceeding with a formal complaint. I will be sure to send ALL correspondence and documentation in addition to the recorded conversations from when the issue originally began.
You are NON compliant with the laws of credit reporting and you've breached contract. Consider this my last request for a direct number of an employee who can assist me directly as I've gotten nothing in the past.  There should be someone who can work with me side by side to resolve the issue and ensure I get what is owed to me. I will also be filing a complaint against exclusive furniture. Rest assured I will not allow the matter to remain unresolved. I've given more than enough time to your company to do the noble thing and I see you have no intention on doing so!

Mr. [redacted]’s account (cash price) has been corrected, at
this time the online system is not showing the corrected account; the situation
is being corrected. Mr. [redacted] was given the...

correct account information (payment
made and current SAC payoff) and was informed that getting his situation
resolved while on the phone with a representative. Mr. [redacted] has since
contacted Okinus and spoken to a manager in getting his additional concerns
addressed, if anything further is needed Mr. [redacted] is urged to contact
Okinus.
