I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards,[redacted]
I have attached a print screen showing how once I make a payment my bill amount decreases and week later when I go back in it's up by 100 or more dollars. This company is not operating with integrity. They say it is for late charges and so on, but it that is the case why are they put on after my payment and not before? They are liars and need to correct my account to the correct amount of 263

Ms. [redacted] signed a lease agreement with Okinus on 6/6/14
stating that the contract was read, understood. By signing the lease agreement
Ms. [redacted] was agreeing to make the monthly...

payments in the amount of $149.61
for 14 months after the initial payment. On page 2 of the lease agreement below
the signature Okinus also provides a payment schedule that gives the estimated
payoff (minus sales tax) provided the payments are made on time.
Ms. [redacted] has 7 payments remaining. Ms. [redacted] has not been
taken advantage of as stated in the initial complaint. Ms. [redacted]’s initial cash
price was $929.99 (reflected on signed lease agreement). Okinus provides customers
the option to pay out 90 days SAC (Same as Cash), Ms. [redacted]’s SAC expired on
9/5/14.
Ms. [redacted] contacted Okinus’ automated system on 1/6/15 and
received the following information Payoff - $453.56; Total Balance - $1047.27;
Due Date - 2/6/15; Last Payment - 1/6/15 and on 1/12/15 to speak with a
representative and the payoff information was being explained when the call was
disconnected.
If Ms. [redacted] does not have intentions of completing the
agreement that was signed on 6/6/14, Ms. [redacted] should contact Okinus to discuss
the options available to her, or Ms. [redacted] can take advantage of the payoff of
$453.56 that was quoted from the automated system, the payoff of $453.56
expires on 2/5/15.

Ms. [redacted] contacted Okinus on 5/14/14, and state that wanted to stop the payment for
5/21/14 (the reason the ACH was suspended), asked for the payoff (payoff was quoted) changed due date to 27th of
month.
Ms. [redacted] called Okinus on 5/22/14
and spoke to [redacted], decided to pay the payment with checking instead of
debit card (due to fees), asked for payoff after Mays payment (payoff quoted
good until 6/27/14), the call ended.
A payment was not processed for June 27, 2014 payment until July 25,2014. Starting on 7/2/14 messages were
left for Ms. [redacted] to contact Okinus, a letter was sent on 7/2/14 to contact about past due payment. The authorization to ACH draft/debit account is located
on page 2 of contract # 20 (authorizes Okinus to process payment).

To whom it may concern,

size="3">                 We received a complaint from our customer [redacted] on January 13, 2017.  He states that he was never advised who would be financing the merchandise and how much the “interest rate” would be. All of the information that the customer is advising is present on the lease purchase agreement which was signed, witnessed, and faxed over to Okinus, Inc.  On April 16th, 2016.  When the customer signed the agreement, he acknowledged that he understood the below:
On the first page of the contract to the left it shows [redacted]/Owner: Okinus, Inc. It provides our [redacted], Phone number, and Date of the lease 04/16/2016. The middle of the page it provides customer name and address. Right below in big black bold letters the contract reads LEASE PURCHASE DISCLOUSURE AND TERMS OF AGREEMENT. Right below that you can see the Cash price $2,330.00, Amount to be drafted monthly from bank or card $300.26, Initial payment $300.26, No. of Payments left after Initial Payment 20, and Next Due date: 5/16/2016.
Mr. [redacted] contacted our office on August 4, 2016 inquiring about his balance. We did advise that he was no longer within the 90day same as cash period which ended on July 16th, 2016.  Mr. [redacted] was informed of the early payoff amount and was furious to know that the time frame to take advantage of that offer had expired.  Mr. [redacted] did stated that the retailer advised him to sign here and there, but they didn’t explain any of the contract.  Okinus, Inc. took that into consideration and as a curtesy to Mr. [redacted], advised that we would honor the 90 day payoff until the next business day August 5, 2016 to pay the remaining amount of $1,598.57. Mr. [redacted] never contacted the office back to accept the offer given.
Furthermore, after Mr. [redacted] declined the 90 day same as cash extension, Okinus, Inc. Mr. [redacted] has recently spoken with one of your customer care specialist and agreed to the arrangements of $125.00 per month until settlement amount of $2,000.00 has been paid in full.

Thank you,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  Okinus or its representatives has never tried calling me and could not reach me or left any messages that is not a true statement.  i contacted Okinus once wehad not received the bar stools.  The contract was corrected after [redacted] and myself along with [redacted] at the store waited for a supposed coming contract by fax.  We did not get this until the next day.  I was written a letter by Okinus for a supposed incorrect account number which was not the case and in their letter they threatened to collect the furniture items.  I contacted [redacted] with Okinus about this matter.  The store by [redacted] got all the correct data and sent it to Okinus and Okinus failed to update or add correct information...I DO NOT HAVE TO BE THRETENED BY OKINUS.....THEY CAN COME PICK THE ITEMS UP SINCE I SEE SOMEONE IS TWISTING AND REPORTING LIES TO THE Revdex.com IT REALLY DOES NOT MATTER TO ME THEY ARE WELCOME TO GET THEIR STUFF OUT OF MY HOME AS LONG AS I AM REFUNDED ALL MONIES I HAVE PAID TO THEM....EITHER GET THE BUSINESS MATTER CORRECT OR COME GET YOUR ITEMS OUT OF MY HOME. AS A VETERAN AND FORMER SWORN OFFICER I WILL NOT SUBJECT MYSELF TO SUCH PEOPLE WITH CHARACTER AS THIS AT ALL.  IETHER GET THE MATTER FIXED SO I CAN RESOLVE MY ACCOUNT AS WE HAVE AGREED IN THE CONTRACT OR GET THE STUFF OUT OF MY HOUSE...  I DESPISE LIARS.....[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

There was an error on Mr. [redacted]'s account that resulted in two payments being drafted from his account. Okinus does want to correct the situation but there are policies in place that Okinus has to follow before a refund can be  issued. Okinus has a strict policy that...

states we have to verify that the payment cleared the customer's checking account before we can issue a refund to prevent a customer from being credited back a payment then it return back to Okinus. This is done most of the time by requesting a bank statement from a customer that can verify the payment cleared their bank and will not return back to Okinus. If a customer wishes to not send over a bank statement there are two options Okinus can then offer a customer. Okinus can either do 3 way with the customer's bank to verify that the payment cleared and will not return back to our office or the customer can wait 14 business days which is the standard time it can take for a payment to return back to the office if a bank is rejecting it. Okinus will return the extra payment back to Mr. [redacted] as soon as it is verified that the payment will not return back to the office.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As stated in previous rebuttal I want to pay this account off in the amount on my documentation listed payout amount7/21/2014 787.55 and the 3 reinstatement fees of 10.00 as well as processing fee. Regarding me purchasing it for someone else that is not in volation we reside at the same address and I did not want automatic draft because if you view per conversation in the beginning I stated I would paying a different way all the time depending on what account has funds.  It was also not in violation because I was the responsible party for paying for the merchandise that is in my home anyway that's like saying that you cannot purchase furniture for your children because it's for your children that makes absolutely no sense. Violation would be not having the merchandise at the location it was delivered to, moving merchandise to a different location without letting lender know, or for someone else and they're not at the dwelling.

I am trying with every effort to close this account in the amount that is on my agreement under payoff after payment dated 7/21/2014. I still haven't been given any explanation on why can't pay the pay off amount after that is documented on the agreement itself. Still haven't been informed on why I would need to pay that $600 to bring it current and I can't just pay the account off based on my last payment along with the reinstatement fee and the processing fee. I still have not been given information on where they come up with the figures on how they get to 1317 in the document states pay off amount after the date on the printer agreement  it says that you may be able to pay off this any time without any penalties on this you pay the late fees and pay off amount. I still haven't been informed on why inaccurate amount is documented on my credit report that is the credit line yet paperwork has a different amount of 1260. I still have not been explained why there has not been a decrease in the amount that is reporting on my credit report when they report each month on the balance of the from the credit line.
I still have not been explained on how they come out what the payout amount when clearly it states on the document an amount differently. None of those questions have been answered none of those questions have been addressed I would like to know step-by-step on how they come out with 1317 there is nowhere on this document that says those fees.

Okinus would like to thank Ms. [redacted] for her service to our country.

Attachments: Contract page 1&2, Payment History, Welcome Letter

Per the contract Ms. [redacted] signed on 2/1/14 the terms were initial payment of $190.00 and 23 remaining...

payments of $189.33. Ms. [redacted] has made 7 payments out of the 24 total scheduled. The remaining payments are 17. Ms. [redacted] should have received a copy of her contract when signed on 2/1/14. Okinus sends Welcome Letters to all customers that go over the contract (due date, payment amount, remaining terms, SAC expiration). The Welcome Letter has a payment schedule on page 3 that lists the day of each payment and the payoff after each payment (this is provided that no extra payments are made over course of contract). Ms. [redacted] has not made any extra payments and currently is past due for 9/1/14.
The desired settlement you reference is the SMCRA. In reference to the Service Member's Civil Relief Act you were already serving in the Navy your current rank when applied was (E3), and then you entered into the Lease Agreement with Okinus. There is not interest to adjust Okinus does not charge interest because this is a lease. Much like, if you were renting an apartment, there is no interest.
Ms. [redacted] can rest assured Okinus is not a scam, Okinus reports to Equifax monthly and have many payment options available to those who qualify. If you are experiencing financial difficulty contact our office to see if you qualify for other amounts.

Thank you again Ms. [redacted] for your continued service to our great country.

ANYTIME A CONSUMER SIGNS FOR ANY PRODUCT THEY ARE ASSUIRING THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE IF SOMETHING WAS TO HAPPEN, THEFT, FIRE WHATEVER. I WAS TOLD IT WAS EITHER TAKING YOUR INSURANCE OR ADDING YOU ALL TO MY HOMEONWER'S INSURANCE WHICH MY AGENT WAS TOTALLY AGAINST I SPOKE WITH [redacted] AND THIS WAS SETTLED UNTIL I KEPT STRESSING I DID NOT WANT THE INSURANCE AND AT THAT POINT IT WAS REMOVED. PLEASE ALLOW Revdex.com TO LISTEN TO THE INTITIAL CALLS MADE TO YOU WHEN I WAS ASKING FOR THE INSURANCE TO BE REMOVED AS YOU STATED IN YOUR RESPONSE.

ALL THIS INFORMATION I AM SURE IS RECORDED ALLOW Revdex.com TO LISTEN TO THE CONVERSATION WHEN I MENTION TO [redacted] ABOUT THE FURNITURE BEING REPAIRED BY MY SPOUSE WHICH I DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE COMPANY BEING OUT OF BUSINESS UP UNITL NOW. IT WAS SUGGESTED BY [redacted] FOR MY SPOUSE TO REPAIR THE FURNITURE AND THIS WAS BEFORE THE OFFER. YOU ALL DID NOT AT ONE TIME STATE YOU WILL HAVE SOMEONE TO PICK THE FURNITURE UP TO REPAIR IT.
HARRASSMENT PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS

I STILL STAND BY EVERY THING I HAVE EXPOSED ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND CAN PROVIDE ADDTIONAL PROOF YOU ALL NEED AND I AM NOT SENDING ANYTHING DIRECTLY [redacted] SHE CAN REVIEW THROUGH Revdex.com SITE.

Mr. [redacted] is correct is 90 day SAC has expired. Mr. [redacted]'s contract (attached) included a payment schedule detailing his balance after payoff and also received a welcome letter (attached) detailing his balance after each payment. Upon review of Mr. [redacted]'s account no extra...

payments were processed only the regular monthly payments. It is unfortunate that Mr. [redacted] is experiencing financial difficulty however this is the first that Okinus has heard of it. On 7/22/14 Mr. [redacted] spoke with a representative and a member of management and stated that wanted to return the merchandise and get all his money back he was informed that no monies would be refunded.

Mr. [redacted] is encouraged to contact Okinus if experiencing financial difficulty to see if something can be arranged. No payments will be refunded on account and the SAC has expired and is no longer available.

Regards,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] did contact Okinus on several occasions in reference to the fee being charged. Mr. [redacted] was informed each time that needed the Renters Insurance Policy and needed to...

have Okinus as loss payee and then the damage waiver fee would be taken off of account. Okinus finally received from the insurance company 1 year 6 months since Mr. [redacted] initially mentioned having the fee removed. Below are the dates Mr. [redacted] contacted Okinus and what was discussed, also attached is the Renter Insurance Policy we received on 12/23/13 (notice states Change type “ADD” and has effective date of 12/23/13).
·         6/23/12-Stated had homeowners insurance and wanted damage waiver off, Mr. [redacted] was informed that Okinus would have to be listed as loss payee and forward Okinus a copy, he was concerned that his premium would increase and that if increased would not do it.
·         3/8/13- Stated he was upset having to pay the $16.75 damage waiver fee when has renters insurance, was informed by [redacted] (Manager) to email a copy of the policy once has Okinus as loss payee.
·         6/8/13-Called office in reference to damage waiver stated that he had Okinus on his insurance as payee but is still being charged, Mr. [redacted] was advised that we have not received any documents from him or insurance company. Mr. [redacted] said that would call his insurance company to send the documents he asked for his loan number and the fax number (1st time).
·         12/13/13-Called office in reference to paying account off, stated that he spoke with [redacted]l (Manager) a while back and informed her that had homeowners insurance and that was going to give him a credit back for fees. He stated that his insurance company sent it for him and notified him that was done. Mr. [redacted] was informed that would have to get with Manager due to not having any notes to credit back fees as not is policy and still did not have the copy of renters insurance.
·         12/23/13-Called office; advised that still needed the copy of renters insurance, he stated will call them and have them send it. (Okinus received the copy of insurance policy**note the copy of the policy has that Okinus was added as loss payee with an effective date of 12/23/13). Okinus removed the damage waiver fee from account.
·         12/26/13-Called office stated that has been trying for 2 weeks to get in touch with someone in reference to damage waiver fee being removed and also wants to be refunded for the damage waiver fee that has been paid.
·         1/22/14-Called left message for Mr. [redacted] (account was past due).
·         1/27/14-Called office about payoff and receiving letter about drafting from account. He was informed that the ACH (automatic draft) was turned off in December 2013; Mr. [redacted] said that he did not authorize this and wanted to speak to supervisor.
·         1/27/14-Supervisor spoke to Mr. [redacted] said that is very upset with Okinus that we told him that if sent in damage waiver would remove and refund all fees from day one. The manager that assisted him 3/8/13 stated this was not told to Mr. [redacted], Mr. [redacted] advised the representative to set up payoff and let us know that was reporting to Revdex.com.
Mr. [redacted] is not due a refund of damage waiver fees paid, Okinus removed the fee from Mr. [redacted]’s account when the Policy was received.

Ms. [redacted] current payoff is $900.95, Okinus would extend to Ms. [redacted]  a reduction of 25%, the reduced payoff is $675.71. The reduced payoff will expire on 6/10/15. If Ms. [redacted] wishes to take advantage of this 25% reduction in payoff she will need to contact Okinus to set up the payoff. Currently Ms. [redacted] account is due for 5/27/15.

I have done business with okinus several times without any problems...the qualification was easy..and the approval amount was more than I needed which gave me more room to buy what needed .the monthly payments was reasonable..I did the 90 days same as cash both times....although my payments were based on 2yrs which made my payments durable for me....however if I had went beyond the 90 days..of course high interest rates would apply...after all there is no credit check ...whats good about this company is they not only take a chance on you regardless of credit...but they also help build your credit by reporting your good payments ...as a hard working single mother I highly recommend okinus...and yes I'll be using them again...as a matter of fact I just got another approval!!!!

I do have the three welcome letter that was I sent to me. If the letter had stated the almost 300 hundred dollar "tax" was going to be added to it, it would have raised a concern. When I went to purchase my furniture I was given a final price. I bought bedroom funiture about a month before I Financed my dining room and kitchen set. When they give you a price total thats your final price. If I had swpied my credit card I would have paid the 4200 not almost 4500. Why would my price change if its 90 days same as cash. I paid off my entire balance so this company couldnt rob me again. Thats like if I bought a car though my bank and they taxed me on it talking about they bought the car for me and now we are selling it to you. They contaced the store to find out they taxed me but if they had said yes they would owe money to okinus. First off we are talking about a small furniture shop that does everything with a calculator. Okinus was wrong for this charge and for not clearly stating the tax and tax amount. It was a way for them to make money off of me. By the way it didnt raise my concern because when I went over the letter it said somewhere on there applicable taxes. That could have meant the taxes from the store because after that it did not give me a new sum it gave me my same quoted price no additional fees. Absolutley terrible. I see why they have over 50 complaints. I could see if I was making this up because I couldnt pay within my 90 day window but my bill is paid off not owing them a dime!

Ms. [redacted] is correct the down payment of $158.65 was taken online by Okinus. When Ms. [redacted] informed Okinus on the decision to cancel the contract Ms. [redacted] was informed the down payment refund would be the discretion of the store (The Unique Piece). Okinus was informed by The Unique...

Piece that the refund for the down payment to customer was not authorized. This is when Ms. [redacted] was directed to contact the store The Unique Piece.

I just spoke with Okinus business time now is 5:11 p.m.  they have arranged for their furniture to be picked up by [redacted] ** in [redacted]e, N. C. by [redacted].  Once he has come to pick up these items for Okinus this resolves the account.  This is a resolve that is completely fine with me.  I spoke with Mr. [redacted] and he said he will call me back to arrange to pick up at this residence the items from Okinus namely a sectional sofa and dinette set (table and four chairs).  Please assist in ensuring this resolves the matter.
Mr. [redacted]

Ms. [redacted] is a returning customer as stated in complaint and paid both accounts off before the SAC (Same As Cash) expiration. Ms. [redacted] was making extra payment on current account with the expectation of paying off within the 90 Day SAC period.
5/30/14 Ms. [redacted] contacted...

Okinus to set up the SAC payoff in the amount of $1850.80 on 6/13/14.
6/10/14 Ms. [redacted] contacted Okinus to delete the payoff that was scheduled for 6/13/14 and only schedule a payment for 6/27/14, at this time Ms. [redacted] asked what the payoff would be after the 90 Day SAC, at this time Ms. [redacted] was informed that her payoff would be $2532.82 and that if made extra payments would be applied to her payoff, Ms. [redacted] stated that would call back if was able to make extra payment.
6/16/14 Ms. [redacted] contacted Okinus to delete the payment for 6/27/14 and schedule for 6/16/14
7/1814 Ms. [redacted] contacted Okinus in reference to the regular ACH payment submitted for 7/17/14, informing that the payment would return and would pay it on 8/8/14
7/21/1 Ms. [redacted] was contacted about the return payment (7/17/14), said that she was taking care of return payment on 8/8/14, and would call Okinus back to pay off account (A payment was scheduled for 8/8/14 for $246.33
8/7/14 Ms. [redacted] called automated system to get payoff and was not happy contacted office to delete the scheduled payment for 8/8/14 and to talk about the amount of the payoff. Stated that was informed that the payments that was making on the account during the SAC would be applied to balance the representative that was speaking with Ms. [redacted] did agree to this.  Okinus will modify the payoff amount per the conversation with the representative even though Ms. [redacted] was informed previously on 6/10/14.
The revised payoff for Ms. [redacted] will be $2137.13 (the current payoff on account is $2819.16). The revised payoff will expire on 10/15/14 after 10/15/14 the payoff will be the current payoff in Okinus' system. Okinus apologizes to Ms. [redacted] for the confusion on account. Hopefully this will resolve all issues.
[redacted]Attached you will find the copy of the contract that details the payoff after each payment, and a copy of payment history (list of payments made).

I provided the login because I thought it was to verify that I HAD AN ACCOUNT. Not for the purpose of getting any information in my account which is what they did. They went into my account and were able to tell me EXACTLY WHAT TRANSACTIONS I had at the time. My bank DOES NOT SEND INFORMATION TO ANYONE BECAUSE THAT IS ILLEGAL!
