Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

excellent process

inherit; border: 0px;">Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this matter. At Online City Tickets, we value our customer and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue or box office.”

In reference to her claim that she was not aware of the order total prior to purchase, it should be noted that this is inaccurate. Our website is user-driven, and no order can be placed without the customer having been made aware of all order and pricing details. When Ms. [redacted] selected her tickets, she was taken to our checkout page. From there, she was directed to review the itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price in bold text. Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bold-text message “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and checked a box signifying her agreement with this statement. During this process, Ms. [redacted] saw an even more in-depth order summary that displayed the number and prices of her tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge.

Because customers are purchasing tickets owned by individual sellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer cancellations and must adhere to an "all sales are final" policy—a standard throughout the industry. This policy is disclosed throughout the purchase process—from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).”
Regarding Ms. [redacted] claim that she was charged $537.37, it must be noted that this is inaccurate. As stated on our website, all prices on Online City Tickets' website are listed in US Dollars. Ms. [redacted] order total was $402.70 USD. We encourage Ms. [redacted] to follow up with her financial institution regarding any fees associated with the exchange from US to Canadian dollars.

Online City Tickets has fully adhered to the terms and conditions that were agreed to prior to checkout, and has upheld our 100% Money Back Guarantee. Additionally, we have discussed this matter with Ms. [redacted] by phone and provided a resolution that, at the time, was amicable to both parties. If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, we encourage her to reach out to our customer service team. As it presently stands, we consider this matter resolved.

Regards,
Online City Tickets

After I purchased the tickets from Online City tickets, I found I could go to [redacted] Web site, pick my seats( they were better seats) and they were half the price that I paid to this service. I do not like that I am unable to pick my seating; especially when the tickets are so much more that the venue is selling them for. I called the customer service number immediately and they would not allow me to cancel. I will not use this ticket outlet ever again.

This was a very convenient and easy process.

Its easy to purchase and you get feedback which is great.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
Kathleen [redacted]

I got a great price for my tickets, and I was able to print them out immediately. I had a question regarding someone's name on the tickets, but the company responded within one day and assured me that this was ok, and nothing to worry about.

quick and easy. Better prices then other sites

Easy and fast transaction.

very easy to order

I purchased Tickets for the [redacted] concert in Jun 2016 that according to them it was postponed until who knows when? I have tried to call their customer service 1-800 number and can tell you NO ONE from customer service gets on the phone with you. It is 100% automated and they do not resolve anything for you and provide no answers and you can not speak to anyone live when calling. Go ahead and call the number. It basically tells you to email the company when on their website they list hours customer service is available and all calls will be monitored but why, you don't answer the phones!!!!!!

I was surprised to see the high cost of the fees at the end of the transaction. I thought these tickets were cheaper than at other sites, until the fees were added. The fees made the prices comparable to other sites. Other than that, the tickets arrived quickly and without a problem.

I was on the [redacted] sight and unaware I was rerouted to Online City Tickets. My price was $177 each for a total of $354. There was an additional $113 in fees for a total of $467. I was not made aware that this was US Funds. My credit card was charged $667. How does a ticket increase from $177 to $333 for 1 ticket That is called a ripoff, hi way robbery or misleading customers Not a trustworthy company at all

Loved that I could buy some great tickets so fast, but having to wait till 3 days before the event to receive them is uncalled for, need HELP like to receive them sooner. there for a Bday present.

I would prefer to know exactly where the seats are I am purchasing rather than find out later.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/21) */
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted]'s concerns. We should explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online resale marketplace, which...

means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: "We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue."
Ms. [redacted] believed she was purchasing tickets directly from the DAR Constitution Hall, the above disclaimer and our branding clearly show that we are not affiliated with any venue or other ticket marketplace. Our checkout process gave Ms. [redacted] multiple opportunities to examine the full details of her order. When Ms. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the service and delivery fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Ms. [redacted] was then directed to review our terms and conditionsvisible in a text box below this order totaland presented with the bolded message "All sales are final." At this point, she/ was also presented with the message "I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above," and a check box that she needed to click to continue with checkout. Below this check-box, another message was displayed that, in Ms. [redacted]'s case, read: "By clicking 'Place Order', your credit card will be charged $828.75, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." This notice was followed by a button labeled "Place Order." When Ms. [redacted] clicked this button, she signified her acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed her order.
In addition, Ms. [redacted] claims that she did not receive the correct tickets for seats in the section that she requested. However, this is inaccurate; when Ms. [redacted] selected tickets to her event, she chose tickets marked Section: G.
Our sales policies, including our "all sales are final" policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase processfrom a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message "All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)." Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer refunds.
Thank you,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/09/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My daughter went onto the site for the venue itself moments after the tickets went on sale. There would be no reason to go to a second source while plenty of tickets were available at $119 each. She clicked on section C. She must have been redirected to another site. Can I get at least some credit back? Maybe $300.00? I would greatly appreciate it. We have been going back and forth with this since early July. Thank you
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/10/08) */
Ms. [redacted] claims that her daughter was deceptively redirected to our site. This is not the case. We should note that our website makes it clear that we are not a venue, and not affiliated with any venue. This fact is clearly noted on every checkout page and at the top of our homepage, which features the following statement: "We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue." Ms. [redacted] clearly did not purchase her order through the DAR Constitution Hall.
Furthermore, we assure Ms. [redacted]'s daughter that she was shown the same checkout page that is clearly displayed to all our customers. This page presents a detailed order breakdown that shows the price of tickets and the service and shipping fees, and ends with the total charge listed in bolded text. The total is later restated directly above the "Place Order" button. As indicated in our previous response, customers must explicitly agree to our terms and complete each part of the process; failure to do so prevents the order from being completed.
We recognize that Ms. [redacted] has requested a substantial refund. However, due to the nature of our business, we are not able to offer refunds once a sale has been completed and must enforce an "all sales are final" policy; because the seller received notice that their tickets were sold the moment the order was placed, we are unable to honor that request. We have offered a resolution to Ms. [redacted] and she has declined that option. We believe that we have addressed her concerns, and consider this matter resolved. If Ms. [redacted] has additional questions, we encourage her to contact our customer service team.
Thank you,

Beware! Huge scam company!!! Overpriced tickets!!! Do not buy from seller. I purchased 2 concert tickets for my wife and I, floor seats, with OnlineCity Tickets, totaling $459.17. I even paid for insurance for the tickets, an additional $50. That was $500 gone down the drain. My cowroker and his wife will attend the same concert and sit in the same row as us on the Floor but only paid $89 each for their tickets with Ticketmaster.com. I'm new to the internet. I typed in our favorite artist's name > concert tickets in Google. The first link in view, was an "Ad" was from OnlineCity Tickets, however, somehow, the URL link appeared to read as if it was the actual venue selling the tickets. Long story short: I got scammed. Please do not scammed too. Lesson learned.

First time using this company. A bit pricey, but if the seats are as stated then it will be worth it!
