Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

What a bunch of ripoff artists. Unreal. Stay away at all costs. Grossly inflated services charges. Abhorrent cancellation policy. They basically tell you to kick rocks you agreed to their terms. So I've paid 2X more for LAWN seats to a show that is not even close to being sold out. Hate.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely...

facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. After our customer selected the event they were interested in, they proceeded to select the listing which they desired. The listing our customer selected clearly stated, Section: GA PIT Row: PIT4. The corresponding map also reiterated General Admission Pit. As our customer indicated, the tickets which they received on 5/25/2017 mirrored the listing in addition to seat numbers. General Admission, or GA, is an industry-standard term that specifies a section which has no specific assigned seat or row and may require patrons to stand during the event. As tickets are usually issued with a Section, Row, and Seat Number, in relation to General Admission tickets, the row and seat numbers are stated for organizational and inventory purposes.Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry and agreed to at the time of purchase. Prior to receiving this claim we discussed this matter with our customer and offered a courtesy resolution, stepping outside of the agreed to terms; however, our customer declined this resolution. Our customer has since filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding this order. We are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

regarding this issue, as we here at Online City Tickets always appreciate the opportunity to address a customer’s concerns. Online City Tickets has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] and both parties have found an amicable resolution.
In regards to Mr. [redacted] statement about the face value of the ticket, it should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means that we do not own or generate tickets—rather, we facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Mr. [redacted] has stated that he thought he was purchasing through the venue website. It must be noted that our website address and appearance are dissimilar to those of the venue. Additionally, at the top of every ticket listing page on our website it states, "We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue."
When Mr. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, he was directed to review his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Mr. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, Mr. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. During this process, Mr. [redacted] saw an even more in-depth order summary that displayed the number and prices of their tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge.

We have reached out to Mr. [redacted] and reached an amicable resolution; as such, we consider this matter resolved. If Mr. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this or any other order, we encourage him to contact a member of our customer service team.

Smooth and efficient

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address Mr. [redacted] concerns. transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Mr. [redacted] stated that the fees, which it should be noted were not $343.95, were not disclosed to him. This is inaccurate. Our site is user-driven meaning no order can be placed without the customer having been presented with all order details, including fees. When Mr. [redacted] selected tickets for the [redacted] Peppers and navigated to our checkout page, he was directed to review his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price of $532.15 in bold text. This information was presented to Mr. [redacted] prior to entering any payment information. Mr. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box—and presented with the message in bold “All sales are final.” At this point, Mr. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” In reference to the $94.10 price listed on the primary market, or face value, as a secondary marketplace, all tickets listed on our site are owned and priced by individual sellers, not Online City Tickets. This price is based on those sellers' evaluations of changing factors such as customer demand. Since customer's are purchasing from individual sellers, we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. It also means that the largest portion of any order placed in our marketplace goes directly to the seller; the service charges represent the charges that Online City Tickets uses to maintain operating costs including our resale site, screening sellers for valid tickets, and providing customer ‘s assistance regarding any of their concerns. This fact is stated throughout the checkout process from a notice at the top of every ticket listing page to the message “Ticket prices may exceed face value” and “All sales are final” presented on the checkout page. This is the first we are hearing of Mr. [redacted] concerns as he has not contacted us regarding this matter. In addition to this current claim, Mr. [redacted] has filed a dispute with his financial institution regarding this transaction. Due to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open, and encourage Mr. [redacted] to contact his financial institution with any questions regarding its process or outcome. As Mr. [redacted] was given sufficient opportunity to review all order details, we consider this matter closed. Regards, Online City Tickets

The fees charged by this site are exorbitant and the company misleads the consumer to believe you are purchasing the tickets from the venue. When I received the tickets, they were for the least expensive seats which costs half of what I paid for. I will not receive the tickets for the second event for over 90 days and have no idea if these will be correct. Extremely unhappy with this service and will never use them in the future.

Though Ms. [redacted] has filed this claim, our records verify that Mr. [redacted] placed this order over the telephone. Ms. [redacted] has stated that they were not made aware of when they could expect their tickets until after the order was placed; this should be noted as inaccurate. During the conversation with Mr. [redacted], our agent explained that he could expect his tickets in July of 2017 to which Mr. [redacted] expressed understanding. Our agent specified that Mr. [redacted] would receive an email roughly one week before the event. As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets does not own tickets therefore does not set or control the delivery date of tickets. Instead, this date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Online City Tickets has no affiliation.  It is common, however, for tickets to be delivered before this specified date.

Ms. [redacted] stated that she was told tickets were nearly sold out for this event though this is inaccurate. During the phone call with Mr. [redacted], our agent described what tickets were available on Online City Tickets and made no reference to the availability of tickets on the primary market.

With regard to Ms. [redacted] concerns about tickets being available before the primary market released tickets to the general public, we would like to provide clarification. Tickets on the secondary market may become available to purchase prior to the primary market due to a number of possibilities; for instance, sellers may be season ticket holders or subscribers. Additionally, arrangements parties may have with box offices, venues, promoters, artists, or teams allow sellers to know in advance the location of which they will acquire tickets.

All orders placed through Online City Tickets are fully protected by our 100% Money Back Guarantee. As stated throughout our website, this guarantee ensures that customer’s tickets will be valid delivered prior to their event. As Mr. [redacted] was notified of the expected delivery date prior to placing his order, we consider this matter closed. Should Mr. or Ms. [redacted] have additional concerns regarding this order, we encourage them to contact us directly.

I have received my tickets. I received an email from onlinecitytickets verifying that I'd received the tickets via email (which I hadn't). I waited the requested 48 hours and then called the support line. The support team resent the email with my tickets. generate tickets. Instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Ms. [redacted] has indicated that she was not aware of the entity in which she was placing an order until after her order was placed. To this we would like to provide clarification, as our operations are stated on every event listing, ticket listing, and checkout page. When Ms. [redacted] browsed events on our site, it clearly stated, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by [redacted] Center.” Reiterated on the top of every ticket listing page we clarify, "We are a resale marketplace.  Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue."Prior to placing her order, Ms. [redacted] was presented with an itemized breakdown of her order and was required to agree to our sales terms. No order can be placed on our site without either happening. Ms. [redacted] selected a checked box which stated, “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above.” Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).”As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holders. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that, once a customer places their order, we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.Ms. [redacted] also claimed that she had not spoken with a representative, though that is incorrect. Prior to receiving this claim Ms. [redacted] discussed her order with a customer service agent who clarified all of this information. Ms. [redacted] valid tickets were delivered on 2/9/2017 for her event taking place on 4/7/2017. As we have sufficiently addressed Ms. [redacted] concerns, we consider this matter closed. If Ms. [redacted] has any additional concerns regarding her order, we have alerted it for routing so she may easily reach a representative.Regards,Online City Tickets

font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; border: 0px;">s. At Online City Tickets, we value our customer and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.
In regards to Ms. [redacted] claim that her purchase was completed by accident, it should be noted that our checkout process allows multiple opportunities to review all ticket details prior to purchase. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” In order to complete the purchase, Ms. [redacted] manually clicked the box to signify her agreement with this statement, and subsequently clicked the Place Order button.

When Ms. [redacted] selected the tickets she was interested in, she was taken to our checkout page. On that page, she was directed to review the itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price in bold text. Ms. [redacted] was shown our complete sales terms and conditions—visible in a text box below the order total—and presented with the bold-text message “All sales are final.” Having been made aware of all this information, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and checked a box to signify her agreement with that statement. During this process, Ms. [redacted] saw an even more in-depth order summary that displayed the number and prices of their tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge.
As Ms. [redacted] has noted, in addition to this current claim she has also filed a dispute with her credit card company regarding this order. Online City Tickets has addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. Any concerns about the outcome of this dispute should be handled directly by the bank with which she filed the dispute.
In reference to Ms. [redacted] statement that she received an error message when attempting to download the tickets, it should be noted that this error was due to the financial dispute she filed, as we were unable to supply tickets while the dispute was active. After the dispute had been ruled in our favor, we did reach out to Ms. [redacted] in advance of the event to notify her that the tickets had become available for download. We have documentation proving that Ms. [redacted] tickets were delivered to her email address on 6/28/16 at 10:22 AM CST and that she then downloaded the tickets at 4:57 PM CST, three hours prior to the event. If Ms. [redacted] had any questions about the tickets at that time, she was welcome to reach out to our customer service team for assistance.
The tickets were made available to Ms. [redacted] in time for the event and in full accordance with our sales terms and conditions to which she agreed prior to purchase. Online City Tickets has been consistent with these sales terms and conditions and, as such, we consider this matter closed. Our management team is available to handle any additional concerns Ms. [redacted] may have.
