Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

Quick and easy to order tickets. Had my download in 5 min after placing order.

inherit; border: 0px;">Thank you for reaching out to us. At Online City Tickets, we value our customer and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states: "We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue or box office."

When Ms. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. During this process, Ms. [redacted] saw an even more in-depth order summary that displayed the number and prices of her tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).”

Online City Tickets has been in contact with Ms. [redacted], and both parties have found an amicable resolution. As such, we consider this matter resolved, and hope that Ms. [redacted] will consider Online City Tickets for her future event ticket needs. If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this or any other order, we welcome her to contact a member of our customer service team.

Regards,
Online City Tickets

The purchase of my concerns tickets was quick and easy. I got to choose seats that were together based on a map of the stadium. Now I can't wait to attend the concert.

Online city tickets only took a day to confirm the order so that's a plus. My tickets will be delivered to me before the date of the concert as I anticipate. So far so good with the buying experience.

I have received order confirmation, but not the tickets yet.

I received confirmation # but no tix yet, event not till next year. 8 because I thought fees a little bit high.

They were very fast

Thank you for your response regarding this matter. As we previously clarified, every order goes through numerous verification provisions; not simply authenticating email addresses.Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. This also means that the majority of any tickets sold on our site go directly to the seller, not Online City Tickets. As we have fully addressed Ms. [redacted]’ concerns and provided authentic tickets prior to the event which has since passed, we consider this matter closed. As we mentioned in our previous response, should Ms. [redacted] have any questions or concerns regarding the dispute process outcome, we encourage her to contact the financial institution with which it was filed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office;...

rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holders. As such, any last-minute decisions regarding a production lineup change are made entirely at the discretion of the venue or artist(s) involved, and are, therefore, beyond our control and purview. These stipulations were made clear in the Sales Terms and Conditions our customer agreed upon when submitting their order: “Event date, times, venue and subject matter may changes. [...] We will not be held responsible for any such change and will not be obligated to provide a refund or any other compensation in the event such a change occurs.”On 1/9/2017, our customer placed their order for the event Chicago and the [redacted] Brothers. This production was later modified by the artist(s) or venue to Chicago. Our customer was notified of this change and has since indicated that they no longer wish to attend the show due to the alteration. It should be noted that our customer cannot receive a refund for modified events per the agreed-to policies at checkout. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process with the message, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD),” on the checkout page. Our customer received their valid electronic tickets via email to their event on 1/9/2017 that is scheduled to take place on 7/15/2017. Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; nevertheless, we offered our customer a one-time courtesy offer in an attempt to reach an amicable resolution. However, our customer declined this offer. If our customer has any additional concerns pertaining to their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service department; at this time, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The information on my check out page did NOT indicate the face value of the ticket, only the price I was being charged.
Prices fluctuate based on demand, but the demand was NOT THERE, because ticket sales were low for this event.
Either the seller of the tickets inflated the price and your website allowed it, or your site encourages sellers to raise prices because you are preying on customers who think this is an actual cost.
Your policy is dishonest, immoral, and relies on circumventing the spirit of existing laws for as long as you can until you will inevitably be shut down.
I will continue to escalate this issue until it is addressed fairly and other consumers can feel protected.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am rejecting the claim because while I did go through the verification process the tickets received are NOT in accordance to stipulated seat assignment.  The vendor asserts they "upgraded" seats BUT failed to acknowledge system initial processing leading up to exchange.  I am simply requesting purchase protection under their guaranteed satisfaction clause, asking for full refund for un-used tickets. Respectfully,

I had no problems at all. Great site and will definitely use it again.

Great service

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Even with their final reply, this company has still never acknowledged, addressed, or defended against my primary complaint: that they deceptively use a url in search results that has the venue name in it and NOT their company name. In doing this they are different than all the other results returned in my search.
Because of the url, I began the process of buying tickets thinking I was going to the venue's ticket site. This company's home page begins with the selection of the date and time of the performance you wish to purchase tickets for. By that point I was focused on selecting date/time and seats, etc.
I have attached screen shots of my search results. I have shown how all of the other resale sites have a url with their company name (especially evident in page 2). Online City Tickets instead uses the venue name: San Diego Civic Theatre.
Until the company can address my primary complaint, I consider their response to my complaint inadequate. (phantom_search results.docx)

I don't understand why some are complaining about Online City Tickets. I purchased tickets for a concert as a gift to my sister. The venue nor ticketmaster, could come up with a seat that was acceptable to me. I wanted my sister to be on the floor, and as close to the stage as possible, for James [redacted]. I was willing to pay up to five times the value, as long as she had fabulous seats. Online City Tickets came through for me. Yes I was a little unsettled at first, because I didn't know if the site was an authentic site. For those that are complaining that they were unaware of the cost and fee they charge, that's deceptive!! The site gave me plenty of opportunities to back of the transaction. It clearly states the fee you will pay for EACH ticket!! No, I do not have any connections with this company. I don't know a single employee that works for them. As a consumer, one needs to be a logical person and a person based on some principals. If a consumer thought that they were charged unfairly and without knowledge, you have two weeks after purchase to get your money back. Most of these E-Commerce sites, offer no money back! With this being said, If you decide after TWO WEEKS that you can't afford those tickets after the two weeks, and before needing to pay your mortgage, that you made the wrong decision, that's YOUR mistake, not Online-City-Tickets! If you are the consumer and complaining that you were overcharged, and/or charged fees that you were unaware of, you are being deceptive. This site lets you know specifically what you are buying and how much it costs, or you wouldn't be able to purchase the tickets. You should not be slandering a company, because you decided after all that you made a wrong investment. They followed through for you, and you should be grateful. I purchased tickets for my sister and niece for the James [redacted] concert this Sunday. The day has arrived after months of waiting, and sister is so excited and I am excited for her!! I went online to research this company. I want to make sure that the tickets I bought indeed were from a reputable company. I am very satisfied from what I read. Turns out that the consumers are deceptive not the company.

Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously here at Online City Tickets and would like to take the time to address Ms [redacted]' concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we...

do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.”When Ms. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, they were directed to review their itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Ms. [redacted] was then directed to review our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Below this check-box, another message was displayed that read: “By clicking ‘Place Order’, your credit card will be charged the total purchase amount, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees.” This notice was followed by a button labeled “Place Order.” When Ms. [redacted] clicked this button, they signified their acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed their order. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process—from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer refunds.Online City Tickets operates our own highly-regarded customer service department which is available to resolve any and all issues that our customers may encounter, with contact information on both our webpage and every correspondence. We encourage Ms. [redacted] to utilize this resource for any additional concerns, but as it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address this matter. With regard to Ms. [redacted] claim that our website provided incorrect information about the availability of tickets, it must be noted that this is inaccurate. The availability of tickets on our website is completely dependent upon a fluctuating market, and quantities for this event are low. When Ms. [redacted] selected tickets and received the message that few tickets were left in the section, that message was referring to ticket availability on our website. Online City Tickets is not aware of availability on other markets.
Ms. [redacted] valid tickets were delivered to her, and she has since confirmed that she has received them. As such, Online City Tickets has fully adhered to the terms and conditions to which Ms. [redacted] agreed prior to purchase. Additionally, we have reached out to Ms. [redacted] in an attempt to provide a resolution to this matter, but we have not been successful in reaching her by phone or email. If Ms. [redacted] would like to discuss a resolution, or if she has any other questions or concerns, we encourage her to reach out to our customer service team. At this time, we consider this matter closed.

Absolutely love it, fast & easy
Thank you

It was so easy to find, purchase, and have tickets delivered right to my door. Though some people complain of hidden fees, if you make sure to double-check the order before you submit it (as one should always do), it is clearly stated as soon as you choose what kind of shipping you would prefer. The online support team was very friendly and timely in answering all of my questions, usually within two hours after I sent the question in.
