I can finally breath thanks to Optima tax relief, from owing 34k+ And only having to pay 6,000 to the IRS is a big relief. So if your looking for someone to help you out with your tax issues I highly recommend OTR. Great experience also great communication. Before I used OTR I used a different company which took my money, but didn't resolve anything. So save your money and go with OTR.

unfortunate that the client did not express his concerns to Optima Tax prior to filing the complaint because we feel as though this situation could have been easily resolved. However, once communication is established we’re confident that we’ll come to an amicable resolve. As the client stated in the complaint, he hired Optima Tax to conduct a thorough Investigation into his outstanding liability. Once we completed the initial Investigation, on or about April 12, 2016 the client was presented with our formulated strategy to resolve his case. Thereafter, the client became nonresponsive to any of our communications and his case was cancelled in accordance with the Client Services Agreement. Unfortunately, given the amount of time that has passed between our initial Investigation and when the client reached back out to Optima Tax, the information we initially gathered has essentially expired. In addition, there is another tax year that needs investigation (2015). Therefore, Optima Tax has no other choice but to start the process over again in order to ensure that we present the client with the most up to date information so that we can present a strategy to resolve his case. At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possible. Optima Tax believes it can address the client's concerns appropriately and will continue to reach out to the client until we come to a final resolve. Please do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you.
Was satisfied with there service .I personally wish they could have helped more.

I can't thank Optima Tax Relief enough. They are patient, boy are they patient, with a taxpayer who is almost too scared to move left or right. They work hard for you to get you the best deal possible. They keep in contact with you letting you know what's happening and what to expect. No question is too "stupid." They answer thoroughly and again with patience. I highly, highly recommend this company to anyone who has IRS problems. They are the real deal.

complaint. After reviewing the case, at no point did Optima Tax guarantee that it would stop the current levy that is in place. However, the client was specifically instructed to provide various supporting documents so we may attempt to release the levy. Since their enrollment, the client has provided a small fraction of the requested supporting documents. In turn, this has prevented Optima Tax from being able to address the levy. More importantly, it has prevented us from potentially releasing the levy. In contrast to the client’s allegation that Optima Tax was attempting to charge the client more money, the client originally agreed to pay Optima Tax a specific amount for our services. As the client stated, he made the initial $5,000 payment as well as one additional monthly payment. However, thereafter the client failed to make the agreed upon payments for our services. This resulted in the client going on payment hold. Despite the client’s case being on payment hold, Optima Tax still performed services in order to determine the necessary requirements to resolve the client’s tax liability. In addition, Optima Tax was willing to modify the client’s payments to us in order to reduce the monthly burden on the client. As the client stated, they have ignored Optima Tax Reliefs attempts to establish communication, which is inhibiting our ability to assist the client. Moreover, prior to the client entering into our Resolution Phase, the client was provided with a written Case Summary, which outlined our findings from our investigation and our proposed actions to resolve their case. This is in contrast to the client’s assertion that they never received a discussion of their transcripts and the proposed remedy. At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possible. Optima Tax will continue its efforts to establish communication with the client in an effort to come to an amicable resolve. Please do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you.

liability. After we concluded our first phase Investigation the client signed up for our second phase Resolution Services thereafter. As we do with all of our clients, we thoroughly analyze and determine what the client may or may not qualify for from a resolution standpoint based on their overall financial standing in correlation to their overall tax liability. When the client first enrolled onto the Resolution Phase, we performed a meticulous Audit Reconsideration analysis to determine if we could have potentially reversed the IRS’s findings as to his liability based on their Audit Examination Report. Client unfortunately was not able to provide any documents or substantiation to alter the outcome. We then began the process of preparing and filing client’s 2013-2014 Amended Tax Returns. Generally, any form of tax preparation and or filing compliance is required prior to negotiating any tangible or long term means of resolution with the IRS. Client had his 2015 Tax Return prepared and filed through his own accord and would have received a refund but this was taken by the IRS and applied to his overall outstanding liability. Although unfortunate that this was the case since client had been anticipating this refund, any and all refunds will be applied to one’s liability if still owed. It is unfortunate that client expressed that communication and or timely follow up was a primary issue for them because we have been diligent in our level of communication throughout this process and we have kept client reasonably informed as to the next steps and or the overall trajectory of his case. Client had also expressed concern as to the time frame involved and is of the notion that no tangible progress has been made on his file. While this process overall can be lengthy, we are at a point or stage in his case where a substantial amount of time and effort has been spent on client's file and that is why we are now at a point to determine if he is a candidate for a Hardship or Reduction program. Is so (based on his financials), we will move forward with a balance reduction submission. If not, we will work with the IRS to establish a feasible alternative on his behalf. After further explaining the situation to client, we are happy to announce that he has expressed a desire to continue with services and come to a mutual resolve on this matter. Both parties have set proper expectations and understand what is expected of them in order to avoid any future issues and ensure that client's file moves along in a timely fashion. At we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go tough rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possible. believes it has addressed the client's concerns appropriately and we consider this matter closed. Please do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you.
SUMMARY -
Optima...
Tax's management has attempted to contact the client to
discuss their complaint but the client has not responded to any of our attempts.
RESPONSE
-
Optima Tax’s management has attempted to contact the client to
discuss their concerns as outlined in the complaint. Unfortunately the client
has not responded to us and we have not been able to properly evaluate their
allegations. Here at Optima Tax, we understand our client’s desire to have their
tax liability reduced or eliminated entirely and therefore we diligently work
to obtain this goal. However, although we have had success in obtaining tax
liability reductions, we do not make any guarantees that a reduction will be
granted by the IRS. Based off the signed agreement, Optima Tax has performed its
contractual duties as outlined in the agreement. Furthermore, based on the work
that Optima Tax has performed, there is a high probability that some of the
penalties that the client accrued may be waived completely. We advised the
client, and at their discretion, to submit the paperwork that Optima Tax
drafted to abate any penalties after 26 months to maximize the overall
reduction. This paperwork can definitely be submitted today and, if granted by
the IRS, it will reduce their debt. However, by submitting it now there is a
possibility that the IRS may decline the request and the client could accrue
more penalties due to the outstanding balance.
The
client also mentioned that their monthly payments to the IRS have doubled. This
is unfounded given the investigation that we conducted and the information that
the client supplied to us. Per our compliance call to the IRS, the client was
never in any type of agreement with them until the client hired Optima Tax.
This is something that we will seek clarification on once the client responds
to us. We cannot provide exact details of the client’s status; however, we have
completed our contractual duties. More importantly, we were able to establish a
resolution that will protect the client from future collection activity. Once
we do make contact with the client, we will thoroughly inform the client about
the services that were provided.
At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that
"clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that
philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn
them around when possible. Optima Tax
believes it will be able to address the client's concerns appropriately once
successful contact is made with the client, and therefore considers the matter
closed. Please do
not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions. Thank you.

Optima...
Tax's management made contact with the client to discuss
his concerns as outlined in the complaint.
RESPONSE
-
Optima Tax’s management has made contact with the client to
discuss his claim as stated in the complaint. In order to clarify, Optima’s
services are separated into a two phase approach, Investigation and Resolution.
As outlined in our Client Services Agreement, the client engaged Optima to
perform an investigation of his tax liability. Contrary to the client’s
assertion, Optima contacted the IRS and gathered extensive information which we
use to develop our proposed Resolution Services. Moreover, to satisfy the
client’s concerns, Optima has provided the client with the name and employee ID
number of the agent that it spoke with during the Investigation.
After the
conclusion of our investigation, it appears that both the client and Optima had
difficulties with timely communication in order to go over the results. Due to
the long gap in communication, it is our protocol, that we conduct another
investigation to assure we have the most up to date information related to the client’s
tax liability. After explaining our protocols and also providing the client
with some options we are confident that a mutually satisfying agreement will be
met. The client is currently weighing his options and will inform Optima Tax once he makes his final decision on the
route he’d like to go with his case.
At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that
"clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that
philosophy. We take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn
them around when possible. Optima Tax
will continue their efforts in resolving this unfortunate dispute until a resolution
is met. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. As Optima Tax Relief has stated, they did call me on February 19th. They discussed what had been done this far in my case and I requested a written outline, which was never provided by Optima Tax Relief. Further more, I emailed with Tax Associate [redacted], and have an email where she states that the services were not completed and could not be completed without beginning Phase 2, which would cost me $1995.
When asked once again for the outline, I was prompted for payment and sent detailed instructions of how Optima Tax Relief accepts payment. To this day, I have still not received the "outline" as requested almost 2 months ago. Furthermore, when attempting to contact Executive Relations Specialist Alexandria Duarte, I have been sent to voicemail almost 15 times and have not received a response from her as far as the time stated in my last email that I am available for a phone conversation nor to my questions that I have regarding my account with Optima.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I spoke by telephone today with a specialist from Optima's Executive Relations Department in an attempt to secure a refund.
According to Optima's relations specialist, their contract provides that they are "in the right" even if they provide false information to their customer at the conclusion of the investigation phase. Their relations specialist confirmed that although the Optima case worker told me the IRS was undertaking collection activity against me, this was not true. He also confirmed that the $79,000 figure did not come from the IRS (as was stated by the Optima case worker), but was Optima's assessment of what I may owe in the future. In other words, the Optima case worker lied to me, presumably to get me to move forward with the next ($9000) phase of their services, even though the IRS had not yet assessed any amount due, nor had they commenced any collection activity against me.The relations specialist said that a full refund "is not going to happen", but stated he would forward my complaint to some board within the company who may or may not approve a partial refund because "Optima expended man-hours on this case".Optima admits that their employee provided false information about the results of my investigation (for which I paid $995), yet they refuse to provide a full refund for the product they did not provide.I await their further communication to see what "partial refund" they may or may not offer.

My experience with Optima Tax Relief was nothing less than outstanding. The staff were highly professional and dedicated to helping resolve my tax problem. It was as though I had an army of people working on my tax issue. In the end a settlement was made and it was $20,000 less than I owed. A special thanks to Gabriel who initial assisted me early in the process and to my case managers Nereida, Simone and a special thanks to Latda V. and assistant Tuyet N. for their fantastic work. I highly recommend Optima Tax Relief.
Optima provided great service and, more, compassion in helping me resolve my financial problems. I was wary of any "tax relief" firms, having heard lurid accounts of fraud and so forth. Optima is an honorable, conscientious and professional organization. Its employees really care about helping and walk you through the process with patience. If you are having tax problems, I would recommend calling Optima without hesitation.

The information that Optima is not accurate. I asked for a new case manager and was not given one that was issued three weeks after beginning with them.
I also called Jason three times in one week no response.I also called Andy many times and no responseThey did offer me a 2400.00 refund of the 6800.00 I paid them and that will not be accepted. I have connected media and attorney and I have to move there I am preparing to do so. Also for 4 weeks I have requested my tax returns and all forms that I sent them to be returned and they have also refused to return MY property. They have 10 days to get me a full refund and my property are I will pull off all stops

Optima has given my husband and I a second chance at life without being buried with tax debt! Thank you!
In September 2013 we found out that we were being audited by IRS because we used a shoddy tax preparer who said he could get us the maximum return. The audit went back 3 years and we ended up owing $37k. We were in shock! We went to local tax attorneys and they told us they couldn't help us. I saw an add from Optima Tax Relief and dig some research on them. Looked at customer reviews and gave them a call. It did take a long time, almost 2 years. The $3700 we paid them to work for us to get our tax down was well worth it. Our first offer in compromise was denied and they went back to the IRS and another offer was made and accepted. We couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you to all the staff for what you have done for us!!
