I can't thank Optima Tax Relief enough. They are patient, boy are they patient, with a taxpayer who is almost too scared to move left or right. They work hard for you to get you the best deal possible. They keep in contact with you letting you know what's happening and what to expect. No question is too "stupid." They answer thoroughly and again with patience. I highly, highly recommend this company to anyone who has IRS problems. They are the real deal.

Although there were various possible resolution options explored with the client, it was made clear to them through our Client Services Agreement, program addendums, and multiple verification calls with the client that no specific outcome can be promised or guaranteed.      To further ensure our clients have a clear understanding of the services Optima Tax is to provide, each client will go through a voice recorded Verification Call that covers all terms of the client's enrollment and all disclosures. After each disclosure is given the client must respond with a Yes answer acknowledging they fully understand the disclosure before we can continue moving forward. During the Verification Process we did inform the client that although a reduction may be possible, ultimately only the Tax Authority may accept or approve any resolution request. After reviewing the client’s file it is evident they were adequately informed of this information and based on their responses it is clear they fully understood and acknowledged all disclosures prior to choosing to enroll with Optima Tax.  As such, Optima Tax firmly believes the client was properly informed of all the terms and services encompassed in their Optima Tax program and that all services were provided in full.   At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. the complaint, one of Optima Tax’s Quality Assurance representatives made multiple attempts to contact the client regarding potential frustrations but unfortunately the client did not respond to our attempts before filing the complaint. Once we received the client’s complaint he was more responsive to allow Optima Tax to address his concerns. The client unjustifiably labeled our firm as a “rip off” based on the fact that we simply posed the question that, “if Optima Tax was able to do a price match, would he allow Optima Tax to finish the job that we started.” Unfortunately, the client misinterpreted the offer to mean that the initial quoted price for resolution services did not relate to the complexity of the client’s tax issues and that we were simply trying to get the highest price possible. After discussing the proposed price match option, which would have required Management’s approval, as well as the details of client’s case, the client understood that our suggested offer was in an attempt to help accommodate the client. Further, he acknowledged that Optima Tax was not a “rip off.” We ultimately parted ways on good terms and more importantly, the client understands that Optima Tax is a legitimate company that cares about its clients.

the client felt that the only service he received from Optima Tax was obtaining
transcripts from the IRS.   However, Optima Tax was able to reiterate and
explain the types of services that were provided to the client. Optima Tax’s
program is broken down into two phases - an Investigation Phase and the
Resolution Phase. Our Tax Associates fully explain the details of each phase to
clients, and during each Investigation Phase, Optima Tax utilizes a number of dynamic
methods to provide a detailed analysis of each client’s tax situation.  After speaking with the client in detail and
making him fully aware of our efforts made on his behalf, the client expressed
appreciation of our efforts but, decided to take a different approach to handle
his tax liability.

as outlined in his recent complaint. After previously addressing his concerns then and educating the client on the terms of our services he contractually agreed to, which did not include a guarantee of a tax reduction, we presented a reasonable resolution that the client accepted. Additionally, it was made clear to the client then that Optima Tax does not guarantee or promise that every tax payer will receive a tax reduction or any specific outcome. Furthermore, the agreement with the client and the voice recorded Verification Call the client completed prior to enrollment also cover the services Optima Tax will provide, as well as all legal disclosures. During the voice verification call in order to continue moving forward the client must respond with a yes answer to all disclosures and services that will be provided, illustrating that they are fully aware of all terms and agree to them. After reviewing the client's call the client responded with a yes to all disclosures and services to be provided.   After reviewing the client's case, the amount owed since the client first enlisted our services is virtually the same. At the discretion of the IRS, they have the right to add penalties and interest until the balance is paid in full. Although it was previously made clear to the client that we have established proper authority to represent the client before the IRS and that the IRS is fully aware that we are in fact representing the client, IRS documents will not stipulate such until a final resolution is met. Since the client is the tax payer, the IRS' obligations are to send their tax payers proper notices on any outstanding balance directly to the tax payer. Furthermore, because the client is unwilling to sign IRS documentation to finalize his resolution, unfortunately he is susceptible to collections until this is done. The resolution that Optima Tax has successfully negotiated on behalf of the client falls in line with IRS' procedures and protocols. Based off our financial analysis in comparison to the IRS allowable living standards, the payment plan achieved for the client is more than affordable. However, we also understand that financial circumstances can change and if that is in fact the case, the client never presented Optima Tax with any such new information regarding financial changes.   At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. Optima Tax’s management has made
contact with the client to discuss her claims, as stated in the complaint. Although
Optima Tax is capable of preventing garnishment/levy of our client’s accounts, we
cannot be successful unless our clients maintain their filing compliance
with the IRS, as instructed. Optima informed the client of her need to make
Estimated Tax Payments because she is self-employed. Unfortunately, the client
did not make these Estimated Tax Payments, which has resulted in the IRS
levying the client. Therefore, Optima informed the client of the $1,250.00 she
needs to pay to the IRS in order to be current with her Estimated Tax Payments.
Once the client makes these payments and is in compliance, Optima Tax can
continue servicing the client’s account to achieve a resolution with the IRS.  
Moreover,
in contrast to the client’s belief that Optima has not contacted the Revenue
Officer, we recently sent the IRS a packet of financial information so we can successfully
resolve her case. In addition, we have informed the client of the status on her
case and also provided her with some options in lieu of her dissatisfaction so
that we may continue our relationship. The client is weighing her options and
she will advise Optima Tax accordingly.

My experience with Optima Tax was very positive. They always kept me informed on their progress. I would recommend Optima Tax services to all in need.

Optima provided great service and, more, compassion in helping me resolve my financial problems. I was wary of any "tax relief" firms, having heard lurid accounts of fraud and so forth. Optima is an honorable, conscientious and professional organization. Its employees really care about helping and walk you through the process with patience. If you are having tax problems, I would recommend calling Optima without hesitation.

Optima Tax’s management has made contact with the client to
discuss her concerns as outlined in the complaint. Although Optima Tax advertises
that it may be able to reduce a taxpayer’s outstanding liability, it also
clearly discloses that every tax payer will not qualify for a reduction. Moreover,
our contract, which every client receives and signs, also discloses that not
every tax payer will receive a reduction and any reduction must be accepted by
the tax authority. To assure that every client we represent fully understands
the nature of our services, each client will go through a recorded Verification
Call that thoroughly covers all legal disclosures to which they must
acknowledge their understanding of these representations.
 
Optima
Tax is disappointed that the client feels as though we have not been
forthcoming in our communications. Optima Tax understands that client’s are anxious
about their tax liability and we work hard to keep them informed at all times.
However, there will be times when Optima Tax is not able to update the client
with new information because we are waiting on the IRS to respond to our
communications. This does not mean Optima Tax is not working the case as
outlined in the agreement. It’s unfortunate that the client feels as if Optima
Tax scammed her but, after our initial conversation the client has a better
understand of our services and we are confident that we have changed her
perception. More importantly, we are working towards a mutual resolution that
will satisfy both parties involved.

I am writing to you on how much I appreciate what Optima has done for me @ my time of need. I was in a difficult situation & I was listening to the radio & heard Mr [redacted] explain what Optima can do & can assist on back taxes. I heard of a few services out there & decided overall to move forward with Optima. I only did not receive great assistance, but overall great customer service & knowledge of what I was about to face. As our Govt moved us back to British Colonial times & are taxing the crap out of us, sometimes we are backed against a wall & tend to move in any way we can to achieve a peace of mind. I was struggling & couldn't pay my taxes, I knew I would need help & Optima was there. I didn't have time to figure what I should do with the IRS but Optima assisted where I couldn't. I thank them & would do it all over again. The price & the pymt methods were perfect & everything tweeked out at the end. I am satisfied & I am overall looking to move on with my life in a more affluent way. This Govt is squeezing my wallet & giving it to everyone else but me ! Im just tired how I ended up & optima was all I had.

The experience l had with Optima Tax Relief was a pleasurable one.For about two years they work with me to resolve my taxes.l still paid but a lot less.

complaint. After reviewing the case, at no point did Optima Tax guarantee that it would stop the current levy that is in place. However, the client was specifically instructed to provide various supporting documents so we may attempt to release the levy. Since their enrollment, the client has provided a small fraction of the requested supporting documents. In turn, this has prevented Optima Tax from being able to address the levy. More importantly, it has prevented us from potentially releasing the levy. In contrast to the client’s allegation that Optima Tax was attempting to charge the client more money, the client originally agreed to pay Optima Tax a specific amount for our services. As the client stated, he made the initial $5,000 payment as well as one additional monthly payment. However, thereafter the client failed to make the agreed upon payments for our services. This resulted in the client going on payment hold. Despite the client’s case being on payment hold, Optima Tax still performed services in order to determine the necessary requirements to resolve the client’s tax liability. In addition, Optima Tax was willing to modify the client’s payments to us in order to reduce the monthly burden on the client. As the client stated, they have ignored Optima Tax Reliefs attempts to establish communication, which is inhibiting our ability to assist the client. Moreover, prior to the client entering into our Resolution Phase, the client was provided with a written Case Summary, which outlined our findings from our investigation and our proposed actions to resolve their case. This is in contrast to the client’s assertion that they never received a discussion of their transcripts and the proposed remedy.    At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophy. Optima Tax’s management has attempted to contact the client to
discuss their concerns as outlined in the complaint. Unfortunately the client
has not responded to us and we have not been able to properly evaluate their
allegations. Here at Optima Tax, we understand our client’s desire to have their
tax liability reduced or eliminated entirely and therefore we diligently work
to obtain this goal. However, although we have had success in obtaining tax
liability reductions, we do not make any guarantees that a reduction will be
granted by the IRS. Based off the signed agreement, Optima Tax has performed its
contractual duties as outlined in the agreement. Furthermore, based on the work
that Optima Tax has performed, there is a high probability that some of the
penalties that the client accrued may be waived completely. We advised the
client, and at their discretion, to submit the paperwork that Optima Tax
drafted to abate any penalties after 26 months to maximize the overall
reduction. This paperwork can definitely be submitted today and, if granted by
the IRS, it will reduce their debt. However, by submitting it now there is a
possibility that the IRS may decline the request and the client could accrue
more penalties due to the outstanding balance.
 
The
client also mentioned that their monthly payments to the IRS have doubled. This
is unfounded given the investigation that we conducted and the information that
the client supplied to us. Per our compliance call to the IRS, the client was
never in any type of agreement with them until the client hired Optima Tax.
This is something that we will seek clarification on once the client responds
to us. We cannot provide exact details of the client’s status; however, we have
completed our contractual duties. More importantly, we were able to establish a
resolution that will protect the client from future collection activity. Once
we do make contact with the client, we will thoroughly inform the client about
the services that were provided.

discuss his claim as stated in the complaint. In order to clarify, Optima’s
services are separated into a two phase approach, Investigation and Resolution.

with some options we are confident that a mutually satisfying agreement will be
met. The client is currently weighing his options and will inform Optima Tax once he makes his final decision on the
route he’d like to go with his case.
