We contacted Paramount Equity to refinance our home in February, The employee we worked with was [redacted] - [redacted] He determined that the value of our home was more than $340,which was well above the $312,appraisal we had done March, through [redacted] *** He sent out an appraiser from a company with a terrible reputation We paid half of the $appraisal fee in the amount of $ An appraiser came out that was not familiar with our area and issued an appraisal of only $290,which is -$22,less than the appraisal done in Because of the under valued appraisal she issued, we haven't been able to refinance our home or get a second equity loan [redacted] - [redacted] told us that we would get the $that we paid for the appraisal reimbursed as soon as possible We were never reimbursed and Mr [redacted] - [redacted] stopped communicating with us We were financially destroyed because Paramount Equity decided to suspend our loan and refused to explo

I am currently trying to refinance my houseI have been in the market searching for a mortgage company to do so withUpon doing so I’ve come in contact with loanpal, more specifically Chris d***, NMLS# [redacted]  I was told things like my appraisal would be waived or refunded if the loan went through, and numbers until they were on paperThey try and sell you on great service yet once they had my money the service went out of the windowAfter I told Chris I wasn’t interested in the loan any longer he tried to have the manager pressure me into continuing because, “Chris and loanpal had put a lot of time and effort into the loan”I was suppose to be refunded almost two weeks agoI called three days ago to see what was going on, after calling my bank to see if it was on their endI was told by Chris that it’s not his department and he would get me the infoI still haven’t heard anything back and will have to file a dispute with my bank to try and receive my moneyI would caution against loanpalOne quote with promises too good to be true turned out to be a waste of my time

Unfair and deceptive acts performed by Paramount Equity Mortgage Company has caused financial injury and strain for my family in several ways In August 2016, I was initially contacted by Paramount and they gained our attention with verbal and written promises such as, $guarantee to beat competing offers Immediately submitting paperwork to lock in a very good rate (better than average) Closing in less than days Being a smaller company permits them to waive excessive fees Within two weeks I signed and provided every document necessary to close Suddenly, correspondence had stopped I tried daily and multiple times to contact my representative (***) to get an update but no response week later I was contacted by Paramount and was notified that my original representative decided to leave the company for unknown reasons However my new representative ( [redacted] ) took over and made similar promises and proceeded Immediately he wanted to change the te

Our initial call attempt was made on 9/5/2014, and went to an answering machine This call was made in response to a purchased lead that was obtained through an unaffiliated third-party’s telemarketing efforts, who spoke with [redacted] On 9/8/we made two call attempts, one in the morning which went to an answering machine, and one in the afternoon that was answered by [redacted] It was during this conversation that she notified us that they had recently refinanced their home, and requested to be added to our Internal Do-Not-Call List, which we complied with Unfortunately, when this call was dispositioned in our dialer system it was incorrectly set to “answering machine” rather than “recently refinanced,” which resulted in another phone call on 9/15/ During this call we acknowledged that the disposition was correctly set to “recently refinanced.” However, this disposition was set to trigger another call days later, which occurred on 9/25/ Thanks to this complaint we were able to determine that this call back setting was incorrect, and have since changed it to ensure no further call attempts are made In summary, we made a total of calls over a day period, and spoke to [redacted] times We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience that resulted from our incorrect configuration settingsWe have attached a copy of our Consumer Do-Not-Call Policy for your reference / [redacted] Style Definitions */
