This is not an acceptable solution to me because the company does not disclose that in their warranty policyI have even called the company and the customer representative even told me it is not listed or disclosed anywhere on their siteTheir warranty is deceptive....especially since they capitalize the word FREERegardless if I send the umbrella back at my cost or pay the $for them to send a new one I am still paying more money and that is not "FREE." The whole reason why I purchased from this company was because of their lifetime warrantyIf I have to pay $every time the umbrella fails, I would have been better off purchasing elsewhereEspecially since this umbrella was used only months and stored indoors for the other monthsTo note, their response above is word for word what they sent me multiple timesEven though my response emails to the company changed I received the above message multiple times it is a generic response they send out.

Yes that is correctWe do replace the umbrella for free but we ask the customer to pay $for the return shipping, unless the customer wants to ship back the old umbrella back to usOnce the umbrella is received, we will ship him a brand new one for freeTo
avoid the hassle and the cost of returning the old umbrella, we offer them to pay $and we send them a brand new one without them having to send it back.

Any reputable company that sells defective products will send a new product at no charge and a return shipping label if they want the product returned The response by this company is a way to save them the shipping charges knowing that it would cost more to return the defective item

and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.Please NOTE however that of my request that the business:
1) Honor their written warranty by providing a replacement umbrella for free2) Have them write and display an honest version of their warranty policyIf $shipping charges are to be levied for the replacement of a failed umbrella, that should be clearly stated in their website policyThe business has stated by email: "we will honor our warranty by sending you a free replacementPlease allow 3-business days to receive the package." (request of from me)
However, they have not performed request #so that as of this time, their customers and prospective customers have no idea that, unless they go through the Revdex.com, they WILL get charged $for their "free" replacement umbrellaI am still looking for the business to honestly display their actual warranty policy OR make a statement that they will begin following their posted policy without the need to resort to have a consumer protection organization (like Revdex.com) go to bat for the consumer

I made telephone contact with the business today February 16, They told me my options were to either ship the bad umbrella back to them at my cost or pay for the shipping of a replacement umbrella Neither of those options, which cost me more money, are acceptableAnd we are able to acceptably use the umbrella without the broken crank
